Dr. BethAnne Kapansky Wri (00:33):
Aloha
everybody.
This is Dr BethannKapansky-Wright and welcome to
your Heart Magic.
Today we are talking aboutbeing the artist of our lives
and approaching each day like anew creation.
So first I wanted to check inon a little energy update and
tie in the Akashic Records withwhat we're talking about today
(00:57):
on the podcast.
When I did the Akashic Recordsfor the third quarter of 2025.
The theme of it was Soul Safariand it was all about the
energies of curiosity anddiscovery and approaching life
right now as if we are on anadventure and there is this ever
(01:21):
unfolding map and as we aregoing about the journey, we get
the next piece and we see thisnext square of the map unfold in
front of us and perhaps we alsochart it out and write out.
Here's what I just experienced, and if we were doing an
illustration of our ownindividual metaphorical map,
(01:44):
maybe we would draw something onthe page or do something that
represented whatever territorywe've just traversed, what we've
just discovered on this soulsafari.
And I love this message fromthe Akashic Records.
I thought it was so playful andit is such a beautiful
(02:06):
invitation to approach life withmore curiosity and an attitude
of discovery, and I think thatfor many of us, we would agree
that those are very goodqualities to approach life with.
And I also think it is hardbecause many of us want that
predictability, we want a senseof certitude, we want to know
(02:29):
how things are going to look, wewant to see more of the map
than what we actually get.
And then we get reallyfrustrated when we feel like our
blueprint for life, our map ofself, isn't unfolding fast
enough, isn't unfolding fastenough and all we've received is
just what we need for that dayor that week.
But we're like, no, like what'sthe plan?
(02:49):
I want to know the directionthat I'm going, and I've always
found this beautiful synergythat can be really challenging
but also so tremendous when weapproach life and our
relationship with spirit, withthe essence of co-creativity,
and remembering that, yes, weare charting the direction that
(03:10):
we're going, we are pointing ourheart and the direction that we
want to move.
That helps create the map.
At the same time, we are alsoreceiving from the universe,
receiving from life, receivingfrom our circumstances, the next
step, and so we work with thetangible, we work with what
we're calling in, what isactually coming through to us,
(03:33):
what is presenting itself to usand those become our ingredients
, that we continue to chart ourcourse and check in with
ourselves and decide whatdirection do I want to best move
, based on how the winds areblowing right now.
So it's not an either or it's aboth, and it is us surrendering
, receiving, accepting thevision, calling the vision, in
(03:57):
working with more of thatfeminine energy of receptivity,
that yin energy of receptivity, and it's also that yang energy,
that very active energy, thatmasculine, the archetype of Mars
type energy, where we put ourbest foot forward and say this
is the direction I want to movein.
(04:18):
If I want something to happen,I'm going to have to make it
happen.
It's both, and part of ourhuman journey is learning about
both of those energies, learninghow to find harmony and those
dualities and find our pathwaythrough.
So I love working with thesekinds of concepts, I love
(04:39):
sharing them on the podcast andI love this idea that we are on
a soul safari for the month ofJuly and August and September
and as we're going about thissoul safari, we will be not only
discovering but creating thisnew map, creating new skills,
creating new ways of being that, according to the Akashic
(05:00):
Records, will be helpful to usand serve us and be necessary
for the fourth quarter of 2025,when we get there.
So I want to share a passagetoday from Small Pearl's Big
Wisdom, and this is simplycalled Every Day a New Creation.
It is passage 309.
Every day we create somethingnew.
(05:22):
Every day we create somethingnew a kindness, a gratitude, a
discontent, a fear, a love, animagining, a joy, a presence, a
dream, a hope, a grief, a peace.
All of it is a creation.
Each moment we are here, evenif we don't realize we are
(05:45):
creating.
The more mindful we are aboutour relationship to creativity,
the more we can bring intentionto the process and reflect on
what we want to make of our days.
The point isn't to judge ourcreations as better than or
worse than, but to embrace ourcreations and appreciate the sum
of art.
Even on our difficult days, wecan create a moment for
(06:08):
self-love and discover a newinsight into what it means to be
human.
All colors have value.
If we choose to see the valueand if we don't like the colors
we are using on the canvas ofour lives, we can always make
changes and focus our creativeefforts on generating more of
the things we'd like to focus onWhether we see ourselves as
(06:31):
artists or not.
We are still artists who holdthe tools to sculpt, carve and
paint our lives throughutilizing the treasures and our
experience, finding meaning sowe give our life shape, and
cultivating curiosity anddiscovery so we can keep living
with intention and openness, each day, an opportunity to say
(06:56):
I wonder what I shall create.
Something that has served mereally well, as I think as a
writer and I was able to take somany of the metaphors that come
with writing and apply them tolife, is these life wisdoms, is
this idea that we are allartists and we are all creating
(07:18):
every day.
And I think when we adopt themindset of being an artist, of
writing our own narrative, ofcrafting and cultivating a life
that is harmonious and inintegrity and meaning with us,
when we adopt that mindset, itshifts some things, and part of
(07:38):
what it shifts is it moves usaway from more of a rigid idea
that we are supposed to do lifea certain way and live up to
certain expectations or idealsor our idea of ourself or how
life should be, and it moves usto a more grace-filled and
(07:59):
gracious way of playing withlife and seeing it as this
malleable, ever-unfolding canvasthat we are constantly creating
on, and so when we feel like weare failing or making a mistake
, when we feel like we've wastedour time, there is room there
to re-script that, to reinventit, to look at that as an
(08:22):
experience that has value to oursoul on some level, and in our
humanness and in our consciousmind, we can use our heart,
wisdom and use our intellect andperhaps draw on some sources of
inspiration around us and lookat well, what can I learn from
this?
Instead of judging myself andfeeling like this has no value,
(08:45):
what can I learn from it?
How can I see this as somethingthat is adding value to my life
?
Maybe I've been excavating myshadows, or learning about
something in life that thelesson there was, all that
glitters isn't gold, that thingsmight not always be the way
that they look.
Maybe deeper discernment wasdiscovered, or learning that
(09:07):
sometimes choosing the path ofauthenticity means letting go of
things that don't serve us,even when that's really painful.
There's a lot of things we canlearn from those shadow moments
in life, from the grit in life, from the hard things in life,
and when we see ourselves asartists, it opens up potential
(09:28):
to think about our journey in amore expansive way that is rich
with color and metaphor andimagery, and I think that really
speaks to our soul.
There's just so much more gracethere, there's so much more
self-love and it's so much moreplayful and it supports us and
moving through whatever it is weare shedding or leaving behind
(09:50):
and move into brighter territory.
I love the idea that if we don'tlike what we're creating in our
life, fabulous, we get to startwith a blank slate.
We can take everything thatwe've learned and what we have
been doing and get out a cleansheet of paper and say to life I
want to do over, I want torestart and, even if I can't
(10:13):
undo everything that came before, I want to alchemize that and
move in a new direction.
And I want to alchemize thatand move in a new direction and
I want to create somethingbetter.
I want to create something thatfeels more authentic or more in
integrity.
Now that I know what doesn't, Iwant to have a creation that
feels more meaningful to me.
I really feel that life lovesfresh starts.
(10:35):
It loves it when we declare anew day, a new dawn, a new
beginning.
Every day we're given a new day.
Nature echoes clean breaks andnew starts, and it's not about
leaving behind what came beforeor pretending like that didn't
happen.
It's more about acknowledgingthat there's value in what came
(10:55):
before and also saying I want tostep into fresh energy, I want
to step into new growth.
I choose new life and I chooseto let myself alchemize and
recycle and shed and transformwhatever it is that came before
and support me in integratingand becoming a higher expression
(11:17):
of myself, a more authenticexpression, a more meaningful
expression, and walking a paththat feels even more real and
true to me.
And I'm going to integrate thewisdom from everything that I
just learned.
Also, on a really basic level,it's fun.
It is fun to hop out of bed andto think well, what can I
create today?
(11:37):
If you're excited about the daybefore you?
Fabulous, that kind of helpssupport, that creative energy
and your mind will go thereeasily.
If you are not excited aboutthe day before you and you're
working with some grittierthings in life, then it is still
a playful way to say well then, how can I work with this today?
How can I create something goodor kind?
(11:59):
How can I create a moment innature?
How can I create a little bitmore compassion.
How can I create an act of lovethat I fling out into the world
?
Cast out like a little pebble, and it creates a ripple effect.
So I love the playful aspect ofit and the idea that we can be
(12:20):
these narrators of our life andthese creators and these
craftsmen, and using that as ametaphor to approach each day as
a new creation and realizingthat every creation holds value.
It's not about the product.
It's about the process and whatwe learn and how we grow and
(12:41):
how we might expand our mindsetand expand our hearts and expand
our wisdom.
When we are artists in our life, we declare our presence and
then we set our course forwhatever it is that we're
wanting to create in our world, whatever goals, visions, dreams,
hopes, healing qualities, essences, whatever it is, we
(13:03):
point our heart in thatdirection and say this is the
direction I want to move in,take more ownership and really
declare our soul sovereignty andour affirmation and our
belonging and belief in ourselfwhen we do so.
Thank you so much for joiningme on the podcast today.
(13:26):
I will be back next week withan all new episode.
