A single word lit up in the Akashic Records this week and reshaped our focus: preserve. Not as clinging or fear, but as an intimate practice of caring for what genuinely matters when life gets loud—joy, sanctuary, purpose, and the quiet essence that makes your days feel true. We walk through how that message arrived, from a jar of jelly to a life preserver, and use those images to ground a season that’s heavy with retrogrades, change, and inner second-guessing.

I share a simple way to run a values inventory that actually holds under pressure, then translate it into small, practical steps that protect your energy without numbing your heart. Think of yourself as the park ranger of your inner preserve: you check the perimeter, notice what’s creeping in, and tend the systems that keep your ecosystem healthy. We reframe the mundane—tidying, budgets, routines—as spiritual scaffolding that quietly safeguards the very qualities you love: peace, creativity, presence.

A timely Tarot pull, The World, rounds out the conversation. It’s the threshold between cycles, an invitation to honor what completed, carry forward the essence, and let the form evolve. I talk about shifting the podcast format as a living example of this: the core intention stays, the container adapts. If you’re standing in an in-between, this is a gentle map. Preserve what’s real, set a boundary where it leaks, and plant one seed for the next chapter.

If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs steadiness right now, and leave a quick review. Your notes keep this work visible and help more hearts protect what matters most.

Aloha, and welcome to Your Heart Magic, an
illuminating space wherepsychology, spirituality, and
heart wisdom meet.
Here's your host, Dr.
Bethane Kapansky Wright, author, psychologist, and spiritual
educator.

SPEAKER_00 (00:33):
Aloha, everybody.
Welcome to Your Heart Magic.
This is Dr.
Bethane Kapansky Wright, and wehave an energy update today from
the Akashic Records.
And before I dive into that, Ithought I would share that I
took last week off from thepodcast.
I think some of you probablynoticed.
And if so, thank you fornoticing and for tuning in.

(00:55):
I appreciate it.
I ran into a bit of a creativewall after a particularly busy
five months of back-to-backprojects.
And I just had a place where noideas were coming through.
And I had a busy work week, andsomething that I'm learning as a
creative, as an artist, and myown spiritual growth is that

(01:19):
there are times to push througha sense of inertia inside of
ourselves, and there's times tosurrender and yield to it.
And I know for myself that whenI have a sense of hitting a wall
and just having nothing that Ifeel like I have to say that
it's time to take a step back.
So I did take a step back lastweek, and that was really
helpful.

(01:40):
And I felt guided to shape therest of the podcast for the
remainder of the year, possiblyinto 2026.
We'll see.
And just do more of an energyupdate each week, share with you
guidance from the AkashicRecords, tie in a tarot card of
the week, talk a little bitspirituality, and bring some

(02:01):
hopefully grounded wisdom intothat.
So for this week, I have a minienergy update from the Akashic
Records, which was reallyintriguing to me.
I've been working with theAkashic Records for many years
now, and I know they comethrough, at least for me, when
I'm tapping into them andbringing messages through.
Sometimes it will be directwords and a sense of writing it

(02:24):
out or speaking it as I go ifI'm doing a records reading for
somebody.
But I'll often see images, I'llhave feelings around something.
Sometimes images aren't alwaysconcrete.
They might be a metaphor forsomething.
And that's pretty typical whenI'm working with the records.
And so whenever I open them upfor whatever topic it is that

(02:45):
I'm diving into, I always get astarting image as a landing
point.
Often I'll get several imageshappening at once that give
shape to whatever it is therecords want me to know.
And that is usually when a wordor two starts to come through.
And I often think of that for meas like my landing pad.

(03:05):
Like if I was in a helicopterand I was looking for that place
to land my copter down.
That's a little bit how itfeels.
So the starting place that wasvery intriguing to me for the
weekly energy update, the firstthing I saw was a little jar of
jelly.
And it was focusing on like thegelatin aspect, like the

(03:26):
preserves, jam preserves.
And then I actually saw a lifepreserver.
And then I also saw the wordpreserve.
And that came through like a bigold bold lit up word in my mind.
And that was the focus of theenergy for this week.
The key word that we are workingwith right now energetically is
the word preserve.

(03:47):
And what the records mean bythat is this is a really good
time to think about what holdsvalue to us.
What in our life do we want topreserve, to set aside for
ourselves, to take good care of,to make sure that we stay in
integrity with the essence ofwhatever it is that holds dear

(04:09):
to our heart, to our dreams, toour family lives, our home life,
whatever it is that we mightresonate with when we think
about our personal values.
And that might be many differentthings for many people, though I
would guess for many of us thatit has to do with things that
are close to our heart, thingshaving to do with our personal

(04:31):
relationships, perhaps ourpersonal passions and sense of
mission or calling, how we mightfeel called to serve in the
world.
Things like joy or creativity orpersonal values, beauty,
appreciation, gratitude,wellness, authenticity, those
kinds of words that many of usmight resonate with and say,

(04:55):
yes, this is something thatholds a lot of meaning for me
and my path.
And these are values that I tryand encompass myself by.
And the records gave us theinvitation that there is so much
that's changing in thecollective at this time.
There's so much energy going on.
I know from an astrological andplanetary perspective, there's

(05:15):
been a lot happeningastrologically.
Mercury's in retrograde.
I believe Jupiter is going intoretrograde later this month.
Uranus, I think, is inretrograde.
There's a lot happeningplanet-wise.
And between all the shiftingenergies, it's very easy for us
to get lost in questioningourselves, going in many

(05:36):
directions at once in our mind, questioning our past.
And so we are invited to thinkabout bringing it back to what
we value, doing inventory aroundthat, and then asking ourselves
what steps might we want to takein order to take good care of
our values at this time, toremain in integrity to those.

(05:57):
The records encouraged us tothink about both the practical
and the spiritual.
As spiritual beings and ideapeople, many of us have a huge
sense of possibilities.
Creative people like to create.
And as much as we are alwaysencouraged to let our

(06:19):
imagination expand, to holdthose bigger visions, we are
invited to come back to what dowe need to do in a practical way
to anchor and take care of whatwe have right now.
So I love this word picture thatthe records gave us.
It was a metaphor of a parkranger who is perhaps a ranger

(06:40):
on a huge vast land, maybe oneof the national forests or
preserves or something likethat, where there's a lot of
acreage and mileage to it.
And when a ranger might do theirjob, they go and they check the
perimeter.
They might check on differentthings happening within the
ecosystem of many ecosystemswithin the park.

(07:00):
They are making sure that thingsare healthy, that things are as
they should be, that the area isprotected, that there's not some
form of interloper or uninvitedspecies or something like that
going on.
I'm obviously not a park ranger,so I might not quite have the
right language for all of this, but I think you probably

(07:21):
understand the metaphor and howthat might translate to our life
and checking the perimeter ofour own life, looking at the
things that support us, lookingat the foundational pieces and
asking ourselves, what do I needto do to take good care of this?
What do I need to do to preservethe energy of this?
If I say that joy is one of mycore values, how do I preserve

(07:45):
joy?
If I say that my home andcreating a sense of sanctuary is
a core value, what do I need todo right now to have a sense of
preservation and caretakingaround that?
If my spiritual work or my senseof calling, of sharing my light
is one of my values, then whatdo I need to do to stay in my

(08:07):
integrity on that and again topreserve it?
So this is an interesting word.
And as I said, I've worked withthe records for a lot of years
and I'm used to certain kinds ofguidance coming through.
They might phrase itdifferently, but I'm not sure
that I've ever had a messagethat's actually used the word
preserve before.
So I was really intrigued bythat.

(08:29):
And as the records always do,they kind of build on one
another with the story.
So even though I'll be doingweekly energy updates, and each
one might be distinct from thenext, I have found that the
records do not give us an energyupdate that is in isolation for
just one week.
It usually weaves into what'sjust happening and what is going

(08:50):
to be happening.
And anytime we're givenguidance, I think about it as a
book of the collective that'sbeing written as it goes.
And so this is this collectiveenergy guidance for the week
ahead and a way to focus ourenergies at this time as we move
into the new moon, as we moveinto the second half of
November.

(09:11):
But obviously, this is timelessguidance whenever you might hear
this message.
There's just extra good energyright now for coming back to a
place of values.
And the last piece of wisdomthat we were given is that we
were encouraged to look atordinary practices, things that
might seem kind of mundane, things that might be really

(09:32):
routine and are just part ofwhat I think of as earth life,
just humaning and doing theday-to-day, but to also look at
that as a way that we might bepreserving our values.
We do those things, hopefully, because they contribute to
creating something that somehowbenefits what it is that we hold
dear to our hearts.

(09:53):
They create some form ofrevenue, they might keep a
system going in our life.
Cleaning a house or keepingthings tidy might not always be
fun.
But if we're working on having apeaceful existence, maybe it
contributes to that by keepingour space really peaceful.
And so looking at the mundaneand seeing how it actually might

(10:16):
contribute to those values andto the things that you hold dear
is a really helpful reframeright now that feels like it
brings a burst of fresh energyinto some of the day-to-day.
So I drew a card today, a cardof the week, and it's not the
card I expected to get.
I thought we would get a reallydifferent kind of card given the

(10:36):
Akashic message.
But the card that I got, andthis is from the Good Tarot deck
by Callet Baron Reed, wasactually card 21, the world.
And in the tarot, this card isusually a culmination.
It's a time of coming tocompletion of a cycle and
assessing where we've been andgetting ready to not only

(10:56):
release and celebrate that, butalso turn around and plant some
new seeds.
So I do feel like this card tiesinto the overall energy right
now as we start the descent intothe last month and a half of the
calendar year and get preparedto go into a new year.
But I also feel like this cardprobably speaks to what many of

(11:19):
us might be feeling at thistime, and that is old cycles,
old ways of being, and releasingthose and feeling like maybe
we're stepping into somethingnew or creating something new,
but we're not quite there yet.
So we're in this in-betweentime.
And the world is a chance toassess, to celebrate, to
evaluate, and to think about asyou keep moving forward, what do

(11:43):
you want to preserve?
What holds value to you that youwant to take with you, even if
it might change in form?
Maybe you want to carry theessence with you.
Like this podcast, I am changingthe form.
I am doing something a littlebit different with just setting
an intention to do some weeklyenergy updates for a while.
But the intention of thispodcast of sharing wisdom,

(12:07):
talking about spirituality,psychologically well-being,
talking about our heart magic.
I'm taking the essence of thatforward with this.
I'm just allowing the form toshift a little bit.
And so that is my way ofpreserving what I value, even as
I allow things to evolve.
So I'll close with this messagetoday.
That is from the Good Tarotbooklet on the world.

(12:30):
This is our affirmation.
I've been called to shift myperspective on my life now.
When I remember I am first andforemost an immortal soul,
experiencing life as a humanbeing, I have no fear.
I can see clearly that I am apowerful co-creator and a divine
partnership with spirit, aligning myself with spirit,

(12:53):
remaining unattached tooutcomes.
I am a conduit for miracles.
And so it is.
All right, everybody.
I will be back next week with anall-new your heart magic.
Thank you so much for joining metoday on the podcast.
And as always, have a beautifulweek.
Be well, be love, be you, and bemagic.
