Have you ever found yourself caught in the web of overthinking, unsure whether to take action or wait for clarity? The dance between trusting your intuition and knowing when to move forward is perhaps one of life's most nuanced spiritual skills.

Drawing wisdom from the Akashic Records and her book "Small Pearls, Big Wisdom," Dr. BethAnne Kapansky-Wright illuminates the delicate balance between yin and yang energies. When we feel stuck in mental gymnastics or find ourselves spinning in circles without resolution, it's often a sign we need to shift from forcing to allowing.

Through practical self-reflection questions and nature-inspired wisdom, this episode offers gentle guidance for recognizing when you're expending energy unnecessarily and how to gather your energy inward instead. The comforting message? If you miss an opportunity the first time, it will come back around—perhaps in an even better form when you're more prepared to receive it.

Key talking points include:

• The Akashic Records message about "changing patterns" and how zigzagging like birds in flight can actually be perfectly aligned movement
• Finding equilibrium between yin and yang energies – knowing when to push and when to allow
• How to recognize when you're expending energy without results and need to shift your approach
• Self-reflection questions to help determine if you should move or wait
• Learning from nature's wisdom about trusting cycles and resilience

This soulful exploration reminds us that we're never alone in our journey. We have countless resources beyond ourselves—spiritual guides, nature's wisdom, and the rhythms of life itself—supporting us when we open to receive. As we learn to trust the innate intelligence within, we discover that "the river always finds its way."

Join us next week as we explore the archetype of Taurus and how Taurus energy can inspire and ground us as we enter Taurus season.

Dr. BethAnne Kapansky Wri (00:33):
Aloha everybody, welcome to your
Heart Magic.
This is Dr BethannKapansky-Wright, and today we
are talking about trusting ourintuition, trusting our
instincts and learning when totake action and move and when to
stop and be receptive.
And how do we know thedifference between the two?

(00:54):
And part of what inspired thistopic today is when I sat down
to ground this podcast episode.
I've talked on here a bit abouthow I have different
inspirations for what I'm goingto talk about on the podcast.
Sometimes it just comes to meand I have a set agenda in mind,
and sometimes I'll just sitdown before I'm going to hop on

(01:17):
and record it and open myself up, open my heart and ask spirit
to inspire me.
I like to think that there isthis entourage of various
energetic muses and sources ofinspiration in the greater
collective, unconscious andspirit world that perhaps I can

(01:38):
draw upon and that they get toplay with me and come up with
the topic.
So when I sat down and put myhand on my heart to ground the
episode today, I found myselfspontaneously opening the
Akashic Records and asking for amini message to tap into the
energy right now and bringsomething through that might

(02:00):
feel soul nourishing andencouraging for everybody and
when that message was comingthrough, it's all about changing
patterns and trusting ourinstincts and our intuition and
not over analyzing things andover questioning ourself I was
like and that is today's podcastepisode.
Thank you, akashic Records.

(02:21):
So I have a couple passages Iwant to share and I want to also
dive a little bit into what theAkashic said and weave it all
together on this particularepisode of your Heart Magic,
because that is what our heartmagic is all about.
It is taking our various giftsand flows of information, the

(02:43):
things that were drawn tovarious inspirations, and
alchemizing all of that in a waythat is a reflection of our
unique point of view, andfinding ways to integrate the
various weaves of wisdom thateach of us has in our lives and
that each of us has available tous when we come into our hearts

(03:05):
and come into our spiritualconnection and come into our
soul, and we all get to do thatin a way unique to us.
So today I am offering my heartmagic and sharing some Akashic
wisdom and some psychologicalperspective and a couple
passages from Small Pearls, bigWisdom.
So, first of all, the AkashicRecords.

(03:25):
When I was opening the records,I saw this beautiful image of
birds and they were flying andthen they were changing
directions and they werezigzagging and the words
changing patterns came through.
And when I opened the records,I opened them specifically for
right now.
It is the full moon in Libratoday as I'm making this, and

(03:46):
we're going into the second halfof April.
So that's what I opened therecords for.
What's the energy right now onthis full moon and as we're
going through the rest of themonth?
And, of course, whenever theAkashic gives energy updates, it
usually extends for quite awhile beyond just the moment,
and this is an extension of whatthey've been saying about the

(04:08):
entire year of 2025, that it's ayear of remapping peace and
re-navigating the spaces insideof ourselves and the spaces in
our life and how we are puttingthings together in a way that we
feel balanced and harmonious.
And that work happens within us, regardless of what's going on

(04:29):
in the outside world, which iscertainly filled with a lot of
chaos.
Energy right now, our guidance, spiritually, is to keep finding
ways to come back into ourcenter and to play with the
concept of peace and balance.
And how do we keep allowing forour neural networks to rewire?
How do we allow for newunderstanding of ourselves.

(04:50):
How do we allow for things torepattern so we can find our way
to a place that we feel moreharmonious?
Many of us are in a place inlife right now where life just
isn't quite how we thought itwould be and what it would look
like.
I think this is just true oflife, and this is why the
Rolling Stone saying you can'talways get what you want, but if

(05:12):
you try real hard, you'll getwhat you need.
This is general life wisdom.
Right, we make these plans andthen life happens.
And here we are in this dancewith life, and so there is
always an invitation to workwith.
This is what's presentingitself to us.
This is where we're at, and howdo we make sense of that for
ourselves and how do we makepeace with that?

(05:34):
If our life looks different thanwe thought it would, how do we
either figure out how to changeit if we don't like something
and we're able to change it orhow to be okay with it if change
isn't available to us in readyform and we can't make a big
change, we just have to changeourselves, and that is what
trusting instincts and intuitionis about and what the Akashic

(05:57):
Records are talking about thisyear, when we see things
changing patterns.
Things are changing in theworld around us.
They are changing within us.
Many of us have a new vantagepoint, a new relationship with
how we experience ourselves, andthat might be very different
than even six months ago, maybea year ago, definitely a couple

(06:17):
years ago.
And so as we're working onconstructing our lives, as we
move forward, we're also doingthis deconstruction process and
throwing out all the old junkthat no longer fits us and old
ideas that perhaps aren't reallyrelevant to who we are now.
And the guidance from theAkashic on that is that we can

(06:38):
trust our instincts, we cantrust our intuition, we can
trust the innate knowing withinus that is trying to move us and
guide us in the direction, ifwe can get still and listen and
not over question, just likethat beautiful image of the
birds that I saw zigzagging inthe sky to a onlooker, somebody

(07:01):
who's watching and doesn't knowa lot about birds I am not
somebody who knows a lot aboutthem.
It looks like a beautiful danceif I see them moving in all
these different directions, butI wonder how do they all stay
together?
What is it that allows them tofly in this flock and fly
together?
And why do they go to the rightone moment and now they're

(07:22):
going to the left?
And how do they know when tomigrate and what cues are they
listening to?
And there's something innate andinstinctual in those migratory
patterns and in the dance of thebirds that has more to do with
science and nature's wisdom andinstinct than chaos.
There is an organization to itand an organization to the

(07:45):
pattern.
And so when we can listen toour instincts and listen to our
soul and get into our hearts, wecan work with change and work
with what can look like chaos onthe surface and we can allow
ourselves to change patterns andrespond in a way that is
instinctive and intuitive andoftentimes that has less to do

(08:09):
with overanalyzing andoverthinking things.
It actually has very little todo with that.
If we're overanalyzingsomething, we're probably not
trusting our instinct, we'rethinking too hard about it, and
it has more to do with trustingour hearts and trusting our guts
and listening to the wisdom ofour body and trusting an

(08:29):
inclination and trusting what isshowing up and where we might
feel guided to move.
So with that I want to share apassage from Small Pearls, big
Wisdom.
This is called Equilibrium.
There is a balance between yinand yang, movement and flow,
making magic happen and allowingmagic to happen.

(08:50):
Nature in its seasons, intelligently and intuitively,
knows when to push, rest, forceand yield, when to adapt, change
and evolve, and when creativegrowth is required, when to move
, roam and migrate, when a spaceno longer fits or has become

(09:11):
uninhabitable.
We find our sense of harmonyand equilibrium by experimenting
with our sense of balanceLearning to relax and receive
when energetic effort isn'tproducing results.
Learning to gather our momentumand point it in the right
direction when going with theflow isn't taking us in a

(09:33):
direction that feels good for us.
Learning to show up and reachwhen we realize we've hibernated
long enough.
Learning to sink intohibernation if all we do is
labor and push for growth.
The beautiful part of thisequation is that, just like the
multitude of beings in thenatural world, who all have

(09:55):
their own rhythms, rhymes andseasons, so do we.
We find our sense ofequilibrium by tapping our sense
of timing, our inner tools andour personal rhythm to find the
seam between movement andstability.
We learn to trust our innateintelligence and intuition to

(10:17):
guide us, to keep contractingand then expand into the soulful
being we are called to be.
Something fun about this passageis that after I'd opened the
Akashic Records and broughtsomething through to share with
everybody today, I always loveto share something that I've
written with all of you, and soI just let small pearls fall

(10:39):
open, and it fell open to thetwo passages I'm sharing today,
and they are absolutely perfect.
They are in accord with theAkashic message and support what
the Akashic records had to say,and I love that synchronicity.
And for me it was such areminder of don't overthink it,
don't work too hard, coming upwith something that is

(11:02):
instinctive.
I love to talk and share andteach.
I love to talk about thesethings.
Sometimes I overthink it andit's like I'm reinventing the
wheel and forcing myself to comeup with something newer or
different or better, as if whatI have isn't already enough.
And so I took this message toheart today and was like you
don't have to force this, justallow it to flow through.

(11:24):
And I think that's what thispassage is speaking about, and
it's also what the Akashic wasspeaking about.
We're not meant to force rightnow.
We're meant to allow for life'sflow and then work with the
weaves that are coming throughfor us.
So if we feel like we arepushing and efforting too hard
and mentally and emotionallylaboring, then that might be a

(11:46):
sign to take a rest and playwith balance and see where can I
take a step back, where can Iallow?
Where can I let the magichappen instead of trying to make
it happen?
Where can I be a little bitmore still and allow good things
to come to me?
Trust that good things arecoming to me, trust that the

(12:07):
insight is coming to me, trustthat I'm putting a puzzle
together that shows me a biggerpicture of my life and my
purpose at this time and maybe Idon't have all the pieces yet,
so that's why I keep jigsawingit and trying to figure it out
and I'm missing somethingintegral, and so I need to just
allow right now, instead oftrying to force that if we have

(12:30):
done a ton of mental gymnasticsaround something and we've
analyzed it and thought about itand we're not getting anywhere
from the same vantage point thatwe're sitting in, that's a
really good indicator that it'stime to take a step back and
move into the energy ofallowance.
So, when we're talking aboutequilibrium and trusting our

(12:50):
inner voice and leaning moreinto our instincts and our
intuition.
One of the ways we canintelligently work with that is
to just take a step back andlook at how much energy am I
pouring into this?
And if the answer is a lot andthings still aren't working,
then you get to play withbalance and you get to take a

(13:12):
step back and you get to sitreally still and you get to
harness the energy and gatheryour energy into you.
Right.
When we think really hard andwe try and problem solve and we
scramble to figure it out, weare expending energy.
Sometimes we're leaking it,especially if we are
unnecessarily doing too muchmental gymnastics in our head or

(13:33):
worrying or acting in a waythat we get really frenetic.
We are not harnessing theenergy.
We are scattering energyeverywhere and it leaves us
feeling drained and oftentimesreally disconnected from
listening to our inner voice, which usually will help us
figure out is it time to move ortime to sit still and wait for

(13:54):
more information to show up?
I wrote down a few questionsthat I think can be really
helpful to ask ourselves forself-reflection when we are
trying to figure out should Imove, should I sit still?
What should I do right now, andone of them is am I
overanalyzing this If we feellike we know what we're supposed
to do, but we keep coming backto questioning it and asking

(14:18):
okay, angels, or asking spirit, now am I really supposed to do
this?
I do this sometimes where Iwill pull oracle cards and it
will be on the exact samequestion and I feel like at some
point the angels and the oraclecards are laughing at me and
it's like we've told you thisfive times already.
I don't know how much moreconfirmation you need.
Maybe you can just trust andit's time for you to take a step

(14:42):
.
If you need, like a blinkingneon sign, you can keep asking,
but you keep getting the samething over and over.
So for overanalyzing it andthinking about it too much and
too hard and expending all thismental energy, then probably
that means that we either justneed to take the step and go.
If we have something in mindthat we know we're supposed to

(15:05):
do, or if we do not have thesolution yet and we cannot
figure it out, then just allowthings to present itself.
It's not time to know.
The next question is do I feelguided to move?
This is an excellent questionand I feel like it's a pivotal
one.
If we feel guided to move butwe're not doing anything because

(15:26):
we're scared or we're stuck orwe're overanalyzing, then
usually energy hangs out with us, waiting for us to make our
move.
Things just kind of sit on hold.
It's a little bit like ifyou've ever had to call the bank
or an insurance company thoseare two places I had to call
recently the provider line forinsurance.
I called my bank over theweekend and I was on hold for so

(15:51):
long and you get that cannedmusic over and over and maybe
every few minutes they'll saylike the next member
representative will be availableshortly.
The wait is long right now, thank you for your patience.
And then the music plays againand it can go on for quite a
while.
Well, that's kind of how energyfeels when we are guided to do

(16:14):
something and we're not doing it, and so things are just
chilling with us and don't worry, I've often found that if we
get really stuck in analysis, paralysis, and we're not making
a move and we just can't forceourselves to, at some point,
life gives us a nudge and ithelps us along if we're really
feeling stuck.
Never forget your spiritualconnection and you can always

(16:35):
say higher power, angels, whatever it is that you're
connected to.
I feel really stuck right now.
I don't know what to do.
I'm terrified to make a move.
I think I know the right thingto do, but I'm not sure.
Help me see my way through thisGreat do, but I'm not sure.
Help me see my way through thisGreat, you're not alone.
You just did something, youmade a move, you invited spirit
into the mix, and that's alwaysa good thing to do.

(16:55):
But if the same answer keepsshowing up over and over again,
there's a strong likelihood thatyou're being guided to go in
that direction.
And if nothing's showing up,then I think usually there's a
strong likelihood that it's nottime yet and we're not meant to
know.
And the next piece will revealitself to us and show itself to

(17:16):
us in time.
But we can't force it.
We have to trust the season andwe have to trust the soul cycle
that we're in, and it's hard tofind discernment between those
two things.
These are just self-reflectionquestions that you can reflect
on.
If you find yourself feelingkind of stuck but there's not a
definitive, this is the rightthing to do, because this isn't

(17:38):
a black and white, step-by-stepguide to following your soul.
There's all sorts of books onthere about listening to your
soul, how to follow your soul, how to be in alignment with
yourself, but at the end of theday, it's you, it's your soul,
it's your spiritual connection,it's your intuition, it's your
instincts.
Nobody can give you a 10-stepformula for how to precisely

(18:00):
follow those, because it's abouttrust and it's about learning
to work with balance.
That's what that passage, equilibrium, was all about.
It's about opening up toplaying with the energies in our
life and playing with pushingif we haven't been pushing and
seeing well what happens if Ijust take a step, any step,
because I'll feel more incontrol.

(18:21):
If I take a step or I've beentaking too many steps and I feel
really diffuse in energy, whathappens if I just sit still.
We learn what's right for usthrough experimentation and
through play, and that is whatthe Akashic Records also said
for this month and for theenergy right now.
I saw this image in the AkashicRecords when I was getting the

(18:42):
energy, where it showedsomething going around in a
circle and if you miss it thefirst time, you have time to
grab it the second time or tolike hitch a ride the second
time.
So, for example, if you'rewaiting for your luggage and
it's going around in a bigcircle and your suitcase goes by
the first time and you can'tchase after it, you just wait.

(19:03):
It'll come back around.
You grab it the second time andnow you're more prepared.
Or if you were trying to hitcha ride on like a slow moving
carousel and you missed it thefirst time and didn't hop on,
it'll come back around again.
You can hop on the next time.
And so there was this ease inthe records that, as we're
changing patterns right now, aswe're changing how we're doing

(19:26):
things in our life, as we arelearning to drop more deeply
into a relationship of trustwith our intuition and our
instincts, and trusting the lessset path and more of the
creative path, the wildheartedpath, the intuitive path, the
path of allowance and trust, aswe're doing those things, don't

(19:47):
overthink it.
If you feel like you've missedan opportunity or you've been
stuck and you've waited too long, it'll come back round again.
It'll come back probably ineven better form and this time
you'll be more ready for itbecause you'll be looking for it
.
So there was a sense of ease tothis and a sense of play and
experimentation.
Like, don't take this tooseriously right now, don't get

(20:11):
into this perfectionist modewhere you feel like you have to
do it a certain way.
Just trust that somethinginside of you is guiding you.
Trust that if you can just leaninto that inner sense of self,
those inner instincts, just likebirds doing migratory patterns,
that you don't have to thinkabout it, you really can just
trust and we can use our mindsand put our thinking caps on and

(20:34):
ask these journaling promptsand do this self-reflection so
that we can be more mindful andwe can be more intentional and
we can be conscious about ourchoices.
But it's okay to not overthink,to just trust, to allow to do
some self-reflection and thenget on with life and just see

(20:55):
what happens and know that weare protected.
We can draw on our spiritualprotection at any time.
We are not in a zero-sum gamewhere we are doing all of it on
our own and we have to force andmuscle our way through life.
And it's us against the forces.
We have grace, we have spirit,we have love, we have magic, we

(21:18):
have our connection that we canlean into and we can open up and
receive support from somethingbigger than just ourselves.
We have mother nature.
We have the essence of lifethat is running through nature
and running through the planet.
There's so many energies biggerthan just us.
We have resources and we forgetthat sometimes when we get to

(21:42):
in our own heads and our owntunnel vision, feeling like we
have to do it all.
We are not alone.
We can open up to receiving andwe can trust that if we don't
know which way we're going, wedo not have to work too hard to
figure it out.
We will get there eventually.
The river always finds its way.
So with that, I want to closewith one more passage from Small

(22:05):
Pearls, big Wisdom, and this iscalled Nature's Teachers.
There is something infinitelyhealing in the repeated refrains
of nature the assurance thatdawn comes after night and
spring after the winter.
Quote by Rachel Carson.
You can't stop a river fromflowing.

(22:26):
It will press on somehow.
You can't stop the daylight, the twilight or the endless
phases and faces of the moon.
Each follows an innatelycyclical rhythm, dancing in
harmony with something muchbigger than us.
You can't stop a dandelion fromgrowing.

(22:47):
They are golden messengers ofresilience that find a way to
push through life's cracks, assuring us that, no matter the
obstacle, life will always finda way.
Each of these natural teachershelps us remember this vital
truth.
Life is composed of many forcesbigger than us, and we can't

(23:10):
stop it from happening.
We can't control, cajole orforce.
We can't outplay, outwit oroutlast.
The best we can do is keep anopen mind, an honest heart and a
sense of humor and learn tomeet life on its terms, not
where we think it should be, butexactly where it's at.

(23:32):
Love me some messages fromnature and the wisdom they have
for us.
It feels perfect to close withthat today, especially since
next week is Earth Day, on the22nd.
So I hope this is a beautifulweek for you.
I hope you can find trust inthe flow of life right now.

(23:53):
I will be back next week with anew episode of your Heart Magic

move into Taurus season and howthat archetype, how Taurus
energy, can inspire us andground us.
In the meantime, as always, bewell, be love, be you and be
