Marques was offered a full scholarship to Howard University, his Dad's alma mater, where he excelled both in the classroom and on the gridiron for for the Bison. In 2003, he was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 193rd pick in the 6th round. It's one thing to get drafted and into the NFL, but it is a whole other thing to stay there, so as Marques puts it "now the work started." After retirement from the football, Marques hit rock bottom as his sales and business ventures failed. His recovery is as inspiring as inspiring get. Enjoy Marques' story!
