When you were a child you were taught many rules and expectations about how you were to treat yourself and others. You might have been told that taking care of yourself and meeting your needs is selfish, and since nobody likes someone who is selfish you should always put yourself last.

The reality is that if you don’t love and appreciate yourself and your needs as much as you do those of others, you will find that it’s difficult to be happy and your life will be a struggle.

In today’s episode of Your Personal Power Pod we talk about self-care. How important it is and what happens when it is, or is not, part of your life.
