Do you feel like something is missing in your life? If so, what do you think is causing this sense of emptiness? Is there anything that is causing you to resist following Jesus fully? What kinds of things tend to own you rather than you owning them?

Comprehending the importance of the “loosing” aspect of prayer and ministry involves understanding the two dimensions of “loosing”: First, dissolving a tie that has already been established; and second, releasing any bondage of unforgiveness. 

Our lesson today explains how “Binding” through prayer makes God’s will effective on earth.

Christ’s authority imputed to us through the blood means whatever we bind and lose on earth shall be bound and loosed in heaven and hell shall not prevail (Matthew 18:18). Everything that we do in the realm of spiritual warfare, we realize in a flow of the power of the blood of the Cross. 

Have you suffered a deep hurt that is still affecting you today? How have you dealt with it so far? How has rehearsing the wrong in your mind affected your pain? What stops you from forgiving?

What is the Gospel? Can you explain it simply and clearly? Have you ever felt that you should share the Gospel with someone, but you were too afraid to go through with the explanation?

What kinds of temptations do you regularly face? Is there a particular weakness that makes you more vulnerable to these enticements? What excuses have you used for yielding to temptation?

 It takes guts to keep going when we’re tempted to give up or walk away when situations become difficult or painful.

It takes guts to stand for your Christian convictions in a virulently hostile and godless culture.

It takes guts to humbly honor, submit, and obey. Obeying God is always the right thing to do, but it’s seldom easy. 

Adversity can either be a paralyzing burden or a bridge to a more intimate relationship with the Lord. You decide.

The Bible says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Ps. 33:12), but this is not a popular belief in our society. How do you respond when you are challenged by people with an anti-Christian, anti-God attitude? Are you tempted to keep quiet, or are you willing to speak the truth gently?

The USA has one of the highest divorce rates in the world. In fact, people work much harder in the preparations of getting married, than on staying married. God has a lot to say about weathering marital storms. We would do well to obey our all-wise Heavenly Father and fight for our marriages.
