Nueva fábrica de TSMC TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) la empresa de fundición de semiconductores más grande del mundo, proveedor de Apple, AMD y NVIDIA, ha confirmado que construirá una fábrica en los Estados Unidos, concretamente en Arizona. Se hará una inversión de US$12,000 millones, para operar en 2024. Actualmente la empresa Taiwanesa dispone de una fábrica en Washington y centros de diseño en Texas y California. La instalación de Arizona será el segundo centro de fabricación de TSMC en los Estados Unidos y creará 1.600 puestos de trabajo, con planes de producir mensualmente 20.000 chips de 5 nanómetros. La apertura de esta fábrica en Estados Unidos se presenta como una victoria de Trump. Días antes, el presidente expreso su preocupación sobre la dependencia de Asia en la fabricación de chips. Bloqueo comercial contra Huawei Pero, para complementar la noticia. Al día siguiente de este anuncio, Estados Unidos extendio el bloqueo comercial contra Huawei. Donald Trump pidio declarar una "Emergencia Nacional" para proteger la información y los servicios de telecomunicaciones, lo que derivó en un nuevo bloqueo contra Huawei por un año en el cual no puede comerciar con compañías con sede en los Estados Unidos. Y anuncio tambien, una nueva regla de exportación, obligando a fabricantes como TSMC a dejar de suministrar chips (con tecnología nacional) a Huawei. La medida ha desatado innumerables críticas por aplicar restricciones a la mitad de una pandemia global y se presume una estrategia meramente política. La compañía china Huawei es el segundo fabricante de teléfonos inteligentes más grande en el mundo. En respuesta a estas guerra comercial entre Estados Unidos y China, el gobierno chino anuncio que tomará contramedidas enérgicas si Washington no desiste. Y planea crear una "lista de entidades no fiables" de compañías estadounidenses, lo que implica restricciones a compañías como Apple, Cisco y Qualcomm, así como suspender la compra de aviones Boeing. El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de China, han calificado la estrategia como algo que destruye las "cadenas mundiales de producción, de suministro y de valor". Lanzando un llamado firme a detener la "supresión nada razonable de Huawei y las empresas chinas". El fin de TON Otra empresa que sufre por la injerencia mundial de EU, es Telegram. Bajo el nombre de TON (Telegram Open Network), Telegram lleva tres años intentando crear una aplicación descentralizada, que se monetice mediante blockchain y cuente con su propia criptomoneda (llamados Grams) El proyecto TON nació con la idea de obtener un beneficio para la empresa sin cambiar las condiciones, ya que Telegram carece de publicidad, y no lucra con los datos sus usuarios, como si hacen otras empresas (WhatsApp incluido). Sin embargo, Pável Dúrov, el fundador de Telegram, ha anunciado que un tribunal de los Estados Unidos les ha obligado a abandonar el desarrollo el proyecto. "El tribunal ha decidido que los grams no pueden distribuirse, no solo en los Estados Unidos, sino a nivel mundial, ya que los ciudadanos estadounidenses podrían encontrar soluciones para acceder a dicha plataforma". Asi, otra noticia, con la que nos queda claro que todo el mundo acaba dependiendo de los Estados Unidos en lo que respecta a las finanzas y la tecnología. En este caso, quien ha salido perdiendo han sido los inversores, muchos de ellos rusos, que aportaron US$1,700 millones a cambio de la promesa de futuros Grams. En todo caso, Telegram continuará buscando el modo de seguir adelante como una aplicación de mensajería. Hay que recordar que Telegram puede llegar a los 500 millones de usuarios en cuestión de meses. The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three).
