Ο Χρήστος Χωμενίδης θυμάται ότι το 1981 για να αποκτήσεις τηλεφωνική σύνδεση στο σπίτι, χρειαζόταν πολιτικό «μέσο»! Κάνει μια βόλτα στις δεκαετίες του 50, του 60 και του 70 για να θυμηθούν οι παλαιότεροι και να μάθουν οι νεότεροι τι ήταν «η κουτσομπόλα», το «ντούμπλεξ», οι «τηλεφωνικές φάρσες» και το «πάρε το μηδέν». Και θυμάται έναν Έλληνα σκηνοθέτη που συνάντησε το 2009 στη Νέα Υόρκη και είχε ως πολύτιμο θησαυρό, αντιγραμμένο σε 10 κασέτες, το μήνυμα του Μάρλον Μπράντο στον τηλεφωνητή του: “Hi Yiannis. This is Marlon!”. Και επιστρέφει στον σημερινό, ψηφιακό κόσμο, όπου «οι άνθρωποι αλλάζουν συχνότερα κατοικία παρά e-mail. Και όπου όλοι κινούμαστε αενάως σ΄έναν αόρατο κυβερνοχώρο, σ΄ένα cloud, άλλοτε υφαίνοντας σαν αράχνες το δίκτυο, άλλοτε πιασμένοι σαν μυγάκια στα δίχτυα».
