ברכיהו ליפשיץ הוא פרופסור אמריטוס בפקולטה למשפטים של האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים, דקאן הפקולטה לשעבר, וחתן פרס א.מ.ת למשפט עברי לשנת 2011.
בין פרסומיו הרבים והמגוונים, ניתן לציין על קצה המזלג את: "עובד וקבלן - בין קניין לבין התחייבות", "מתנות שקיומן לאחר מיתה", ו- "פירוש לחוק הערבות".
התיישבנו לשיחה מרתקת על פרשנות וסמכות. סקרנו את ההכרעה שניתנה בפסק דין גורטלר בעניין אימוץ ילדים על-ידי זוגות חד-מיניים. המשכנו לדון בטיבה של הפעולה הפרשנית, במהפכה הפרשנית שהתרחשה במשפט הישראלי, וחזרנו לבסוף לנתח את פסק הדין על בסיס הדיון שערכנו. הייתה שיחה מהנה ומעשירה. האזנה נעימה!
