حوالی ساعت چهار بعدازظهر 21 بهمن سال 57، یه ماشین تشریفات به پایگاه هوایی دوشان تپه میرسه. نادر جهانبانی از اون ماشین پیاده میشه و سوار هواپیمای فوکر افِ 27 فرندشیپ میشه. اون هواپیما یه هواپیمای مسافربری توربو ساخت هلند بود که تو دوره خودش، پر فروش ترین هواپیمای جهان شناخته میشد. راننده تشریفات از ماشین پیاده میشه، سیگارش رو روشن میکنه، و همونطور که داشت پوک عمیقی به سیگار میزد میبینه که اون هواپیما خیلی زود شروع به حرکت میکنه و عمود به سمت آسمون میره. اولش خیال میکنه که جهانبانی میخواد با اون هواپیما فرار کنه. اما اون قصد فرار نداشت. میخواست فقط واسه آخرین بار، دور تا دور شهر، پرواز کنه... .
