前几个月在纽约的时候，见了几个老朋友。今天访谈的对象Judy，就是其中之一。
Judy从十四岁就离开了中国，之后辗转于欧洲和美国。我认识Judy的时候，热爱文学的她，刚被哥大新闻系录取。但我们之后的命运轨迹，却非常不同：她最终没有选择入学，而是坚持自己关于文字的理想，在纽约把自己的翻译公司经营得小有名气。
疫情之间，我们慢慢断了联系。但是某一天，我突然看到她发了一条更新，她说，我现在是一名纽约州的地产中介了。
我们一直没有细聊，这个转变究竟是怎么发生的。
距离那条更新，现在已经过了两三年的时间。最近再和她见面的时候，她已经从地产的新人，成为了可以独当一面、自立门户的broker.
而我非常好奇：这过去几年间，她的生命发生了怎样的变化？当一个所谓的「文艺青年」决定进入一个不那么风花雪月的环境的时候，我们的世界会发生怎样的变化？
可能在表面上，这是一个关于搞钱、地产、创业的对话。可能在人生道路、家庭背景上，大家未必有很多重合的地方。但是说到底，这场对谈，其实是关于成长，放弃，以及如何跟自己的许多执念，慢慢和解的过程。
