Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the morning show. Uh, shall we go around the
room shoe in the minds of the creatures that bring
you the show. I want to start with Froggy who.
By the way, let's talk about Tortuga Music Festival. That's
where you're gonna be this weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Yeah, I'm going to Tortuga Music Festival. I'm living today.
Landy Wilson's going to be on stage, Hardy Teddy Swims
is going to be there. So yeah, I'm excited to
go to Tortuga Music Festival.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
All right. So if you're there, look for Froggy. He's
hanging out. So what's on your mind today? What is
it about that? Sleeping in your own bed is the
most amazing thing ever? I just talk about it. So
the other night I got home really late. I knew
I was not going to be able to sleep much.
Slept on the couch.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I'm like, yeah, you know what, I'm gona sleep on
the couch because I didn't want to fall into a
deep sleep.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
I got up.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
But then when you go back and sleep in your
own bed again, it is the most amazing feeling. It's
better than any bed in the whole world. I guess
because it's yours. I don't know why, but there's something
not sleeping in your own bed. It really truly is amazing.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
It's just comfort. It's comfortable, right, it's you, it's your home.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Was different than any other bed.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Oh well, I get it. Let's hear it from our beds. Yeah,
very nice, Danielle, what's on your mind?

Speaker 4 (01:10):
So some of us were at the Alisapollock event last night.
She always throws this Taste of Hope City of Hope.
It's like a big, a big night, raising a lot
of money to help a lot of people, and there's
a lot of wine. Well, they always auction off cool things,
but they also have just an auction going on where
you just donate money with this QR code.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
They made.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
How much money did they make with it? I'm not
even kidding you. Maybe fifteen minutes and he's like, come on,
this is our goal. And then we kept hitting the goal,
and so he kept making the goal larger and larger,
and I don't even know how much we raised by
the end of it.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Look, it is like fitness O. My god.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
People were just donating money. It was the coolest thing
to see. So this is such a great event. So
you know, I've never been before. This was my first
year and it was just so much fun and it
was very very special. So Alyssa and everyone who puts
that together, it really is a special.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Night, David Alyssa Pollock. Of course, it's been our friend
for God since the nineties and early nineties, and she
has been so instrumental in making this an event that
everyone wants to go to every I'm glad you got
to do it. We've done it many years and it's
a lot of radio and music industry people are there,
and we all have known each other. We grew up
with each other in this business.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
I saw so many people that I haven't seen in
like ten fifteen years. I was like, oh my gosh,
it's so cool to see you. So it's awesome.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Well, and also it's a wine dinner, and so every
table has their own wine. Wine God that brings all
these wines to you and shares with you. And that's
why I had to skip a couple of years because
I everyone gets there and gets drunk because it's a
wine dinner. Oh yeah, what are you supposed to do
is sit there and drink water. No, not a water dinner.
This is not a water dinner. It's a wine dinner.

(02:49):
But Alyssa, we love you. Congratulations another success. Hey Nate,
what's up with you?

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:54):
This is just a reminder go get it physical.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
And especially go to a physical and the same person
year to year. I see doctor McNiff here in this city.
I've been going to him for ten years and it's
a great check in. He you know, you get to see,
you know, basically, how you're progressing in life. You know,
show me.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
The doctor McNiff has what to say about you?

Speaker 5 (03:18):
What say he he's It's great because you build a
relationship with these people. They know what you're going through
and you know he can advise how to you know,
or she can advise how to make your life better.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
So thank you doctor mcniffie, and schedule your physical.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
If you haven't done one.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Shame on you.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
You're right, You're right. Having a doctor that you you
merge with very easily is so important, even if they
just pretend to care. It's better than going to someone
who just looks at you like you're another piece of
meat rolling through the door. So here's the doctor McNiff, Yes,
and all the doctor McNiff's out there, Hey, scary, what's up. Well,
I'm a sucker for the latest food craze.

Speaker 6 (03:53):
And I know several years ago there was that the cronut,
which was the cross between the croissant and the donut,
and this local bakery here was making them, and they
still to this day have lines wrapped around the corner
and you can't get them. Well, now on TikTok, I
saw the cookie. It's a cross between a croissant and
a cookie. It's a cookie filed, a croissant filled cookie,

(04:15):
or a cookie filled cissan the cookies in the middle. Anyway,
it's it's the cookies in the croissant. Yeah, the cookies
in the middle. And this this lady, I guess her
name is Jane. Janie's Life Changing Baked Goods. She makes
these things. So Sam and I were gonna go up
there figure out, let's let's go check take a look. Well,
my friend said, don't even bother the lines.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
You can't even get near it.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
So how do you march up?

Speaker 1 (04:37):
You've had it before, you've had a novis No. I
just said that's cool. Oh you said that it's good. Okay,
but what's what's my point?

Speaker 6 (04:45):
My point is anytime TikTok blows something up, you just
can't get it. For the next five years, you still
can't get cronuts. So anyway, I've just been shut out.
I'm over too. I don't know what you're talking about, Danielle.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Well, yeah, hey, producer Sam, what's up with you today?

Speaker 3 (05:02):
I said yes to something yesterday that I'm pretty proud
of myself for I went to a big birthday party
and all I knew was the birthday boy and the
one friend he told me I could bring. And I'm
kind of like a sit in the corner with your
cocktail if you don't know anyone and just observe person.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
But my friends and I broke off and we walked
around the whole night and we made new friends, and everyone.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Else welcoming and kind and chatty.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
That's not like me. It's not really cool, but it
is like you.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
You were.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
You were so open and so friendly and kind. It's
it's kind of weird that you think of yourself as
a recluse in the corner.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
The room full of strangers. Usually that's not like where
I thrive, especially if it's not a work event, like
I just was Sam, not even Sam from the show
where you know, they're listeners and people that kind of know,
you know, it was just Sam and that's not my
comfort zone.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
So aspect, that's kind of funny. Sam, It's kind of
funny that we are a roomful of loud mouths at
Talk Talk Talk Talk Talk, but we really are a
room full of introverts at the same time.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Right, I mean there's just twelve of us in the room.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
It's a full room, so it's different. It's well, you
did it makes you feel good to get out there
and meet new people, right, Yeah, it was great. Yeah,
you have the power. You could do it again. Hey Gandy,
what's up with you today? Man?

Speaker 7 (06:08):
Something horrible and something interesting happened this morning. I woke
up to my phone ringing because my ride aka Garrett,
had been sitting outside my apartment for thirteen minutes, I
will go thirteen minutes after he had arrived to pick
me up. And it was just chaos, you know, running
out of the house and all of that. And it's
one of those things where you say, I know, I
set my alarm, what the hell happened? I checked it?

(06:29):
So we actually checked it. We were checking in the
car and he witnessed, there's a glitch with my phone.
Oh no, the first note of the alarm was going
off and then it.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Was just silent.

Speaker 7 (06:39):
So it was a quick like and then that was it.
It was stopping. I reset my phone twice. I tried
to flip the ring town. I might have to get
a new one here. But he actually witnessed that. Hey,
I didn't make it up. This did happen. It was crazy,
But thank you Garrett for saving my life in my
morning and waiting for me when I told you to
leave me and save yourself.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
And Iligi, it seems like when you have days like that, Yeah,
you feel like you never catch up to the moment
you're supposed to be in. Right, Yes, absolutely have an idea. Yeah,
what if we all do what I suggested, Let's all
meet at the airport and let's go somewhere this weekend.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
I will do it.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
I just need to pack in no no bag needed.
Where we go, they'll they'll have a gift shop with
shorts and t shirts. And the time you spend on
the plane will be catch up time. You'll catch up
to where you.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Need to be.

Speaker 7 (07:21):
I need it man, and it was one of the
mornings where every door you walk past snags your sweatshirt
or your backpack, and you're like, something's against me today,
but it's going to be okay.
