Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast?
Fine Elsie show? Can we go with the fifteen minute
morning show podcast? Everyone's here except for Gandhi. She's on Specialists.
You'll find out what that's about a second. Scotty Bees here,
Hi's Scotty Bee. He's in the serial Killers podcast booth,
(00:27):
I am, and there's Scary. What's other's Garrett, there's Danielle
and there's straight in eight Hello, and here we go.
What do you guys want to start with?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Can we start with Scotty? You really need to get
a steamer or an iron for that serial killer's flag
you have there. Yeah, that's that's bush league man. Come on.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
It was just unfolded it and shoved it.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
I just figured eventually after it hanging for song, it
would just like work itself out.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
It's like a college dorm. College dorm room right there,
don't we have those steamers?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yes, we do it. I bet you it would work.
That's like the day Scary walked in with the Remember
you had the tag on your pants that it was
thirty six thirty two or thirty eight thirty.
Speaker 5 (01:04):
It was thirty four, No way, it was thirty four thirty.
Thank you thirty four thirty. But yeah, but well, you
guys didn't tell me about it. You waited till like
recorders through the show.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Well, it was a lot of fun. It was a
lot of fun to watch you walk around with your tag.
That's like what someone puts a kick me sign on
someone's back.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
You know, I guess you don't want to be the
person to say, who put a sign on your back?
Speaker 1 (01:24):
I don't know these new cameras. I don't know if
I'm liking this camera angle is scary.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
We have a lot of camera angle.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
It's an angle.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Well, you're gonna see it. Here. There's an angle. They
cut it scary, cut it scary.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
There is oh, oh my god, cut to a Garrett angle. Garrett,
Oh you look pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I actually like this angle.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Word about Danielle's angle. It's good Danielle.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Here she is in the.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Hell Oh nice and far I'll kill you an angle?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Do you have an Do you have your own angle?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I do. Let's see if it comes in.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Not try Elvis, was your my mind's on, I'm on
my regular wife thing. Here's the thing when we know
that the cameras are switching around. If I have to,
I have to like scratch my nose. I wait until
it goes to someone else and I'm starting to scratch
my nose like then, and then sometimes we'll come back
to me. I'll be like, my.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Camera's off to the side if I when I'm talking,
I look at you, so you can never actually see
me looking at the cameras. See you see I don't
have to do this to look at the cameras so much.
Can you move the camera because it would have to
be in there.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
You don't have to look at the camera.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Yeah, when we're doing this podcast, I'm looking at you, guys,
I'm not looking at any call.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
That's what you should do. You know, when you're doing TV,
unless you're doing a single story to a single listener
or viewer, you don't look at the camera. You look
at the people you're with.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
And then you have to do the vagina hands. Yeah,
you have to do this thing or like this. They
do this with their handsle I don't know what.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
You're technically called it vagina hands.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Hands.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
They teach that in college. Here's the thing. Let's say
you're doing the news. Yeah, you're sitting at the desk
with another person and they're doing a wide shot. So
that means both of you here, come in my show.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Okay, we're doing the news.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
If you're doing if you're doing a news story, this
is like John to stare at you like this while.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
You're doing the story.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
That's very well. You're doing the story.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Yes, in Cambodia today.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
See it looks weird. So what I would be doing
is do your.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Story in Cambodia today. Several people already Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah, yeah, there's no comfortable way to do it. This
is why I don't do television.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
But I did see one six o'clock newscast with both
anchors at all times are staring directly into the camera.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Whether they're doing the story, you're not.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
So one person is doing the story and the other
one is just staring right into the camera the entire time.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Well, that's the thing. He's probably staring at the teller
prompter seeing what they're about to read.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
You know what's kind of funny when I do a
Good Day New York over at Fox five in the mornings,
you know, they have two massive six and a half
foot cameras on wheels and everything. There's no one behind
those anymore. They're all robot real wow. And so they'll
be just they'll be just like zooming across the room
of their own and if they get to they'll run
you over. You gotta watch out for Oh my god.
(04:08):
It's frightening. Things have changed so much. Also, you know,
they used to have someone in the back running the teleprompter.
Now that you run your own, like a little stick
at your desk. You'll see them do that.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
They got their hands on they was like, I see
something like subtle like things going on with their hand
they do.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
They're rolling on it. They have those. They also have
foot pedals they can use sometimes really yeah, tricks to
the trade. Yeah, well they've eliminated their their tech team
by eight.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
It doesn't always work, though. I was watching Channel seven
News here last night, and when they came back from break,
all you could see was the anchor's scalp.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
That was it.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
It was like for a good five seconds and then
you could see it.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Like you have to up that joystick.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
I've always wondered how long the meteorologists have to practice
to figure out that screen with them.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
The green screen.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, well, i'd be pointing.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
I'm like, let's say this is here, there's a monitor
over there, So what they do is see where their
hand is.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yeah, yeah, but I imagine that takes some practice.
Speaker 5 (05:04):
Right, So they're not looking at the map, they're looking
at the monitor off side.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Put their fingers. We're giving away all television secrets.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Yeah, where's going?
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Oh did you get some good footage? You got some
good sound?
Speaker 6 (05:20):
There is something going on.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
We'll play tomorrow. There's a big karaoke movement going on
down the hall. Are they still at it? They've been
doing it for twenty minutes.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
Yes, they're still out of Andrew looks like he is
ready to throw himself off of a bridge.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Is not this open office concept great in theory? It
doesn't work. It really doesn't work because then you're trying
to get something done, You've got a phone call, and
then all of a sudden, a karaoke session.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
We were going to record some spots. Diamon goes, oh,
are you about to record some commercials?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Oh, I'll be quiet for five minutes, just five minutes,
and the next thing you hear is now.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
We have people coming from on the radio stations and
they sit there and watch the show. I'll tell you this.
The reason why we set you down to go on special.
As Simon ttery cord their karaoke session. This text came
through saying, hey, I tried to call in with some
good news to share. The phone is ringing, but no
one's answering, Diamond, where are you about? Where she was
down the hall doing carry This person could have had
(06:14):
to answer to life or something.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
I tell you, We would you answering the phones, Danielle,
We weren't. Wouldn't get up from that seat. We would
just sit there and just just sit there, constantly answering
each call that came in.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Well, you also have fewer ways to get in touch
with you. Back then, you didn't have social media or texting,
and when the phone.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Lines would go down, we'd have to write all the
calls on paper and run the pieces of paper in
and be like, hey, so Joe Schmo's online six he
wants to tell you about this.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
It was like, oh, and it sounded awful the air.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Yeah, I was.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
There, all right?
Speaker 1 (06:46):
What else are we doing?
Speaker 6 (06:47):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Wait, Garret sent me a really cool interesting story this morning.
So the Baltimore Ravens eat a crazy amount of uncrustables
every single day, like the one snack in their little
snack area that they grab and the team eats thirty
to sixty per day and in a season they average
seventy five hundred uncrustable.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
That's a lot of uncrusted strawberry or grape.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
I they tend to go for grape.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Yeah, you're a.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Great favorite grape. Yeah, you great.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Now do you put it in the microwave or do
you see I like room temp if it's very frozen out,
microwave for like six seventy seven playing ahead from crusty,
I know, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
That's a lot of uncrustables. Yeah, well that's a lot
for one team. That's seventy five hundred protein. It is protein,
and they're not all that fattening. There's not a little
bit of sugar because of the jelly in there, a
little bit of bread, and there's no crust. So before
you cut back from your special assignment, Yes, we're talking
about you know, them switching the cameras from person to person.
(07:52):
Oh yeah, And I always wait until the camera leaves
me so I can scratch my nose or whatever, and
then sometimes you get caught. You're like, yeah, so you
just missed what he was doing on the camera. Oh yeah,
she stuck a Kleenex down our cleavage.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
Yes I did. I'm really glad the camera wasn't on
me for that moment because I took a sip of
this coffee, but the lid is broken, so the coffee
went down my shirt. And now I'm gonna smell like
coffee all day and I have coffee boobs.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Well, people were hoping to see the coffee boob unfortunate.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Yah, I'm tired, let's go for a nap.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
By the way, we never pointed out that Elvis and
Nate are wearing pretty much the same shirt, but different.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Colors are wildly different shirts.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
N's been wearing this jacket for like five days now
or something.
Speaker 6 (08:35):
This is an off white.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
I just I just like the way. But when you
put them together, it just it looks complimentary. If one
of you, yeah, you look like you're on the opposite
sides of the aisle. Politically that might be true to life.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
I don't know the way.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Can I just backtack like two minutes if you don't mind,
because I was doing something when you were talking about
on crustables, the peanut, butter and honey is the best one.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
That they they had.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
That, Yeah, yellow box, and they also make one with
a new teletype.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
Yes, they do make a new tele one.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Come, I don't I don't see those anywhere. I'll go
see your grape and I will find them and bring
them in.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
Bring the new tele one.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Make sure the thought out so we can eat them immediately.
This is this is why I know we're not supposed
to drink it as adults, but this is why I
always have milk in the house, uncrustable moments.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
I always have milk, period. And I've never heard that
you shouldn't drink milk.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Why know, you drink milk every day, and you ship
your pants every.
Speaker 5 (09:29):
Day, every get checked.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Maybe you're a little bit last nights in tolerant like me?
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Can you check Nate?
Speaker 2 (09:36):
No, no, I'm good the diary.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
And me are you no?
Speaker 2 (09:44):
No, no, no no, I don't need to be yet.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
All right, Well that said, can we just end this
last story.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
So there's there's a heavier gentleman that works at one
of the other radio stations. He's well, he's pretty big,
and so we're walking into the building and I'm like,
who boy, it's cold out there. He looks at me
and he goes that's why I'm fat, and there you.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Go, words to live by, a story of hope. Can
we pull the plug on this bad.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
Yeah, dude's also in and out of the bathroom in
fifteen seconds. I don't know how he does it.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Again.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Thanks again for tuning in. Let's get out of here.
Bye go the fifteen minute Morning Show.
