Fine Elvis fifteen morning show. It is a fifteen minute
morning show podcast. We're back. Here we go. There's Danielle
and there's Gandhi.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Scottie b is a master control over there, there's a
straight in eight and I see Scary and Garrett, Danielle, Gandh.
I think I think you everyone, Yeah, I have everyone.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Hi.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
So we survived another New Year's celebration.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Here we are in a new year. Now what do
we do to survive this year?
Speaker 5 (00:44):
Day by day?
Speaker 1 (00:44):
I think we learn as we go.
Speaker 6 (00:46):
I think we do the same, but better and more
of whatever was last.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Same but better. What would that apply?
Speaker 7 (00:52):
To be grateful, but be more grateful, Celebrate things I
don't know, Tell people you love them.
Speaker 5 (00:59):
Don't take things for granted, taken.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Waste time, waste time, go to the gym. No, no,
come on, Jim, that is a.
Speaker 6 (01:07):
Waste, Jim, not unless he is my friend.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Offered me something that's approachable, manageable. Sorry, I'm sorry, that
is manageable.
Speaker 8 (01:17):
Where's that kind of time?
Speaker 3 (01:18):
You can't get on a treadmill for fifteen minutes?
Speaker 1 (01:20):
It's funny you say that.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Actually this time around when I'm doing my doctor fat
lost thing, which I'm in the middle of right now,
he said, you know, it wouldn't hurt if every day
for five just for five or ten minutes, you just
walked on a treadmill.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Just do it. Finally told me that ten years, but
finally we broke.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
He was very careful to say it probably would not
be the worst idea ever a on a treadmill for
five or ten.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Minutes, because at first he said, no, you don't want
to do this.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Because you're dehydrating your body, and the whole point is
to build up water weight while losing fat so you
don't seem hungry. But now he's saying, you, actually you
can't break a little bit of a sweat. You're getting older,
your metabolism slowing. We want this thing to work. Get
on a treadmill.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
I don't think any doctor has ever said exercises a.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Bad He's not a doctor, per se. I actually had a.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
Conversation with him about you, and we were laughing because
I said, you know, he goes, I tell him the
easiest way to keep it off while he's you know,
when he when he's done, we.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Want to go off.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
You know how he goes off of it and then
he starts eating in He said, it is just exercise
a couple of times a week. You're not going to
keep it all off obviously doing that, but you'd be
better off. And he's like, I don't understand why he
just doesn't get that.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Fu I'm a yoya, I'm a wait yoyo.
Speaker 9 (02:42):
But I like how he said that it probably wouldn't
be the worst idea to get on a treadmill.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
And all these januaries I've been going to him, I'm like,
this is the first time you're actually telling me actively
that I should get on a treadmill. He goes, don't
you have a gym in your in your in your
apartment relex?
Speaker 1 (02:59):
And I said I do. He goes, isn't it free?
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Can't you just walk upstairs after the show? Yes, I can.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
It's one floor above me. He goes, well, he goes,
do it. He goes, wait, it's one floor. Yeah, it's upstairs.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
It's the exercise walking the way floor.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
You can actually take an elevator to get a exists.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
He goes, he spent five minutes and then maybe you know,
you increase to ten minutes and maybe fifteen at some point.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
But he goes, and you don't even need an incline.
Speaker 8 (03:22):
Just do it.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Just just get on there and just start.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
Want to do it.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
I'm sure you're going to do it.
Speaker 6 (03:27):
No, he broke up with him.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
He's thinking about it. I'm thinking about it.
Speaker 8 (03:29):
You should do it in the cartoon where you're hanging
like a doughnut at the front of it. You just
keep running sort it.
Speaker 6 (03:34):
Do that, Yeah, Scotty, he said, you weren't doing that
this year.
Speaker 8 (03:36):
What happened?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
That was nothing over that.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
I didn't think that, Like he goes, Dude, metabolism change.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
You get older.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
He goes, You're not going to be able to shed
thirty pounds and forty five days.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
At some point.
Speaker 6 (03:46):
Things change.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
When you get things change and you can't. What used
to work for you with weight loss doesn't work anymore.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Different now it's true.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
You brust trust us, trust the old lady and the
old man. Here it changes.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Hey, Well, why why would Scotty be having a meltdown
in his u his studio?
Speaker 8 (04:04):
Stupid banner fell down. I don't know how to hang.
Speaker 10 (04:06):
You can't.
Speaker 8 (04:07):
These walls are very I don't nothing adheres to them
and I just have pushpins and the banner fell.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
That's because they don't want you to hang anything on
those walls. So that's purposely done.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Right.
Speaker 8 (04:16):
Well, I need some kind of I need something to
hang it up with.
Speaker 6 (04:18):
You should probably just super glue.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
It always great ideas coming from Gandhi. Yeah, oh it's
all so.
Speaker 9 (04:26):
Any stories you want to tell about the holidays while we.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Were away from each other for two weeks?
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Nate was sick most of those yeah time, most of
those days. I was nervous.
Speaker 8 (04:37):
I kept checking in on him and he wasn't responding.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
I know, all yeah, I know. I went into my
little bubble and you know, here I am. Now I'm back.
It's good to see everybody, though. I mean, I did
the math. I think it was twenty four days I
haven't seen you.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
We got the best hugs when you came back. Yeah,
greatest hugs.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
Did you hurt yourself picking me up?
Speaker 1 (04:57):
You're very late?
Speaker 6 (04:58):
Oh hey, very light? All right, there we go.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
You must be working out which doctor.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
Brandon picked me up once and he was like, oh
my god, you're so much heavier than you look.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
I was like, oh my god, I said that, he
said you're like a little rock was just coming with it.
Speaker 9 (05:18):
So highlights highlights from your time out, We'll start with you, Gandhi, Like,
what did you do that you really enjoyed doing.
Speaker 7 (05:26):
I went back to Columbus. My sister lives there and
I lived there for a long time, so I have
a bunch of friends there and I got to see
all of them.
Speaker 6 (05:34):
That was exciting.
Speaker 7 (05:34):
One of my best friends in the world moved back
there from San Diego and she just had a baby.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
And I shouldn't say je she had a baby a
year ago.
Speaker 7 (05:43):
That little kid is adorable, and it was actually fun
to go and hang out with her and see her
a little bit. I wouldn't, but I'm I'm making it
a point.
Speaker 6 (05:53):
To say that she was cute, because she really was. Yeah.
What do you say when someone's kid's not cute?
Speaker 1 (05:59):
You don't say anything?
Speaker 5 (06:01):
Treasure?
Speaker 6 (06:02):
Oh what a blessing?
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah, exactly what do you think of my kid?
Speaker 9 (06:07):
Well, well, honestly, what about you, Danielle.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Highlight of your time out?
Speaker 5 (06:14):
So we we Spencer was here back home from college.
That was amazing in itself, and then we just did
a lot of family stuff, like we went to Nashville,
the four of us, we had the best time for
New Year's We had the best time together, just spending
time as a family. A lot of cool family stuff
happened over over break, so that was awesome. I really
(06:34):
think just spending time with the family. And my sister
had her third baby over the break, so that was
little Lucas. So it's like, it's just it was all
about family. And I loved it. I loved every single
moment of it.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Very good. Yeah, what about you? Scary?
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Oh, it has to be hands down. Going back to
Costa Rica and this time being interactive with a monkey.
A monkey jumped onto my back from the true ease
and and then started eating out of my hand.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
But then I was quickly.
Speaker 4 (07:04):
Reminded, this is how Gandhi may have gotten sick.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
We could have been.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
An elephant elephant like, oh my God, Gandhi, Oh my God, Gandhi,
Oh my God, Godhi.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
But but literally I was, I was. I guess.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
I was in the rainforests of Manuel Antonio in Capos,
uh Costa Rica, and I was in a boat and
going down to a swampy area, and they were talking
about the different tribes of monkeys and how monkeys want power,
and they want territory and they want domination. And they
are the two different tribes that fight with each other
(07:39):
all the time. But the one one tribe is very friendly.
And the guide has twenty years experience in that body
of water and feeds and knows them by face, by
the way, and says, oh, this one here is pregnant,
and this was so and so, and she's gonna come
down from the tree. And sure enough she came down
and ate a banana out of my hand, which is great.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Well, isn't Costa Rica such a beautiful, beautiful country?
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Oh my god, you could be. We were sitting on
a balcony watching a pair of macaws just go across
the sky and I've never seen them outside of cages,
you know, I've it's true.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
It's true, because they're red. They're colorful. And then the
symphony of sound at dawn and.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
Dusk, like like it's just before the sunrises at five am.
You just hear all these crazy sounds and noises coming
from the trees, and then you know, you see these beautiful,
colorful birds.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
I mean, a hummingbird just landed right on the edge.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Of the pool, and I'm like, look, at this this is.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
I that is that really that unusual for you to
see a hummingbird. I've never seen a hummingbird.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
I'm only seeing pictures and oh my god, black these
the sounds like you had a really great time.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
That was always awesome.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yeah, Costa Rica, if you have a man, put it
on your list. Costa Rica is one of those places
I've been. I'm like, I don't want to leave. I
want to stay there.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
I tried to get them go ziplining. No, that's not
going to happen.
Speaker 7 (09:00):
I did.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
He did is have lined over alligators once. It was
the coolest thing ever in Florida Getterland, you know.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Because you didn't fall in, right, was going to fall in,
but it's close enough.
Speaker 9 (09:13):
It's so awesome, Nate, other than being sick, did you
have an enjoyable moment at all during the holiday?
Speaker 3 (09:20):
I don't know if it was enjoyable. I want to
tell you a story, but I can't. Podcast.
Speaker 6 (09:25):
Oh a involve a bodily function.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
No, it's like the most tabooed topic that we can
never discuss on this show.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Okay, well, let's not talking about He's melting and I can't.
Speaker 9 (09:42):
I don't question why would you even bring it up
if you can't talk about because it's I'll tell you afterwards, right,
But why would you bring it up as a topic.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
Oh yeah, you cannot. No, no, no, he can't.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
It's but I didn't mean to do it, but I
did something, and I ruined something for some people.
Speaker 6 (10:08):
Yeah, this podcast so I could.
Speaker 9 (10:12):
Find out what about you, Scotty b.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
You went out on date? You went on dates?
Speaker 8 (10:19):
I did. But before that, even you know, I spent
a ton of quality time with the kids, went into
the city. We saw the rockets, we saw the tree.
We did a little shopping and soho had some good food.
Security be proud of me. I went to like No
Moo whatever that place is called that trendy hotel restaurant.
So that was that was nice. I went and saw
Billy Joel on New Year's Eve. That was a ton
(10:41):
of fun. And uh, you know, I went out once
or twice or three times and I had I'm very
happy with where my life.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Is at right now.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Good. I love you know what. It's been a while
since we've heard you say something.
Speaker 8 (10:52):
Yeah, I mean I came in here with the ear
grin this morning. You guys, like, what's the matter with you?
Speaker 1 (10:58):
You know, did you bring a day to Billy Joel?
Speaker 8 (11:01):
I did bring a lady friend to Billy Joel.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Yes, a lady friend. I want to get to a Garrett. Yeah, Garrett.
What fun thing happened over the holiday?
Speaker 10 (11:13):
I got to take the kids around New York City.
But then I had that like that moment where it's
like you're looking at your younger self because my sister
in law broke out like a video camera she found
like in our basement and gave it to him. So
he was walking around New York City with a video
camera and like recording stuff.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
And I go, holy crap.
Speaker 10 (11:30):
This literally was me like walking around New York City
with a video camera. Like it was like one of
those movie scenes where it's like if I could talk
to my younger self, I could and he could talk
to me. But I was like I was watching it.
I was like, holy crap, Wow, the world's crazy.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Wow it is. Well, it sounds like you had a
great time. I had a great holiday too.
Speaker 9 (11:49):
Didn't really do much of anything, which is fabulous sometimes,
isn't that what you wanted?
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Yes, I did a whole lot of nothing. It was great.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Well, look we're back and now we've got a year
ahead of us. Let's make the best of it.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Yeah, let's do it. All right, you guys ready for
twenty twenty four.
Speaker 8 (12:05):
Let's do it.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
