Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast,
present Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Or monster?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
What is that?

Speaker 4 (00:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (00:24):
The came out starting the count all combined, the end
of your voice.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
The end of everybody closed your eyes. Let's hear Scary's
voice from last night.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
No, no, I did. I said welcome, this is the
greatest hell on earth, because that was that.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Was good here.

Speaker 6 (00:44):
I didn't say anything last night. I just stood there.
I stood there with a chainsaw.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
And that's it.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
You have the chainsaw.

Speaker 6 (00:50):
Yeah, that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
You didn't make any grumbles.

Speaker 6 (00:53):
I did not make one sound except that one time,
and I laughed because the guy screamed so loud. I
just laughed at him.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
You scared yourself if you times in you.

Speaker 6 (01:00):
I scared myself a few times by stepping on that
thing that made the air come out.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Okay, I think blood manner is fantastic.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Yeah, Danielle, sorry, I'm h Every time I hit it,
some scream comes out of my phone.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
So I had so many ideas last night about how
to do my own haunted house. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
So the group of people goes into this long hallway,
and it's a long, dark hallway, and they go to
the end, and they realize they can't get through because
there's a door I mean obviously would open if there
was an emergency. But then at the other end, five
zombies come out and start walking towards them very slowly.

Speaker 7 (01:35):
Oh my gosh, it's a good idea.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
It would terrify me. I'm not good with.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
That to me, like the things that move slowly towards
you scare they.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you know what I noticed yesterday.
I'm sure everybody was in a different place. But the
one o, look who's here.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Hey, stop talking about him, Stop talking, stop talking about him,
stop talk about.

Speaker 8 (01:55):
It anyway, nothing nothing, I know, there's many there's many
more things, much more.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Interesting, and he's almost out keep on acting.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Act on.

Speaker 7 (02:18):
The area where I was, there was a girl who
was basically in the ceiling when people would walk by,
and she hoisted herself up there over and over and
over again. And there was another girl next to me
who would get down on all fours and go running
out on all fours to attack people.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
And I was like, they are in great shape.

Speaker 7 (02:36):
Yeah, they do this for hours every night, and they
weren't tired that nothing. And the one girl could have
just stayed in the ceiling and never come down. But
she was committed to the craft. She dropped every single time.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
This one guy that I had with me, he was
so limber. He would sneak up on people and jump
up and have all four of his limbs on either wall.
I like, literally like jump up and do some crazy
pose because the walls were close together in the hallway,
and I'm like, how does he.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Just stay in his own weight?

Speaker 1 (03:04):
How does he hold it up like that?

Speaker 6 (03:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
The guy that was I was in the beginning when
they would give you the rules like don't touch us
like stuff like that. He would run in every time
with the same amount of energy, start slamming doors and
screaming at people. I'm like, oh my, and he just
did it over and over. Oh my god, this.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Is talent, right.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
And sometimes that place is open for five hours.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
So people didn't touch you, but did you touch them?

Speaker 4 (03:28):
I did touch Sheldon. When Sheldon walked through, I scared
at it.

Speaker 7 (03:33):
I think I got him good too. He was with
Scotty's daughter and she definitely screamed and then.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
She goes, how's.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I went up to my husband and I was like,
don't dutch me and he was like, okay, okay, we'll
touch you.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
It was fun too. I mean the people that came
through there, there's such differing personalities, right. We talked about
it a little bit on the show. And there would
be the people that would just laugh in your face.
There would be the people that like scuttled through so
quickly because they didn't want to be scared. The people
that are like, oh out there's somebody hiding. Men.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Those are like the too cool for the room people
like they walk through like this is nothing.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Because they're scared. And that's that's how they talk it out,
because yeah, they that's.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
How they deal with their free fright right right. You
know this one girl that was in the room with
me as a clown on another night.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
She she each night they rotate and do different roles.
So one of those difficult rooms to work, uh and
in different difficult times is late at night when the
drunk crowd comes in in the room with the baby
dot with the dolls, the girls dressed as like little girls.
She says, I'd never want to be play the part
of the little girl because especially with the drunk crowd

(04:51):
coming through, I just enough said, because the guys get
really crazy and creepy.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
It's insane.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Yes, she says, it's disturbing. Well, that doesn't happen a
blood No no, no, no, no, no, no, no no no, it was.
It was another place that she used to work at,
so terrible, terrible.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
I would do I would do it again.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
We are next next year. So if you weren't there
this year, honestly, you have to find a way to
get there, because it really was amazing.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
Danielle. I heard one idea someone passed along a tour
of the month of October down to Philadelphia.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Well, I have this to the sales department before, and
I said, we need to do a haunted house tour.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
No no, no, no, yours market?

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Yeah yeah, in all the different markets that we're in,
I mean, Blood matter being the one here in New York,
We're in Philly, where we're in Iowa. There's haunted houses everywhere.
We could totally do the tour and I'd show up,
I'd go through all the houses with people, take a
bunch of listeners. It would be awesome.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
But nobody, no, people want you to do what you
did last night by going oh, well, if.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
We could do it for charity and every day. That's
a lot of planning.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
A lot of it's a lot of look at the
infrastructure of Blood manner. I mean there are level levels
and levels and levels of makeup rooms and prop rooms,
costume rooms. I mean to be able to do that, oh.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Yeah, And it's awesome because like Jim and Nick, who
like Nick does like a lot of like what you
see on the walls, and he buys the props and
he has the image of the imagination of what he's
going to do. And then Jim kind of now runs
the day to day where he is so like he
comes down in the elevator yesterday and he's like, you
guys ready here they come have fun, and he pushes

(06:28):
the button and then he comes out and he checks
and he's wearing the suit and he's in charge, and
it's just it's just it is. It's just run so smooth.

Speaker 6 (06:36):
What goes on, what goes on there November to September.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
They used to do a Christmas one. They used to
do Santa Claus one, I don't know what it was called.
And they used to do My Bloody Valentine one something
like that. But I think they stop doing it because
I don't know, maybe not enough people want to come
out for that stuff at that time of year.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
And you know what, they told me that after Halloween
on the thirty first, the following this following weekend, I
think that we could third fourth it's lights out weekend.
Well there are people just giving glow sticks.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
To walk away.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Wah, yeah, no more, no more lights and you have
to find your way through the same exact library that
is so cool without any lights.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
When they took us through beforehand to kind of just
give us the lay of the land, like Okay, this
is this, this is that, this.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Is the war room.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Yeah, it's just so different before the lights go out,
like you know, to see it, and then when the
lights go out, you're just like, holy crappiting though.

Speaker 5 (07:30):
It is like being at the club when the light's
going at two am and you're like, oh this one,
this place looks.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Like yes, and there is a haunted room there, Like
remember they said the building is haunted. So when I
got there, I was with Deanna and we they said, well,
this is the boiler room and blah blah blah happens
in here, and it's a place where a lot of
people feel things I walked in and I started gagging.
I could not like, there was such a smell and

(07:54):
a feeling and something in that room. I had to
remove myself from it because I felt so sick.

Speaker 5 (07:59):
To see mayo sandwich.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Yeah, well, I said to them, did you guys spray
something in there? Like is there? He says, nope, that's
just that's that that room has something happens to people
when they go in that room. Some people, So it
was weird. It was very weird.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
And Danielle's probably, of course, let me go in there.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
I did, well, dann did I not say let me
go in there?

Speaker 2 (08:18):
And I went in there.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
But as soon as I went in there, I had
to come out. I was so I did not look.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
It was so cool though, I mean the science that
goes behind it. Like yeah, when we were in my room,
the mustache guy you just said his name, oh Nick Nick, Yeah,
He's like, yeah, they step here and then the cannon
goes off and they get scared and the person comes
out behind here and they get scared and then the
other person comes out. I'm like, you've got this down
with yeah, you know.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
The way they communicate with each other.

Speaker 7 (08:42):
I was watching they had when they the slamming and
the pounding, it's not just a sound to scare you.
They're letting another person know, Oh someone's coming around the corner.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Now yeah in your position.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
H yep, that's right. It's all cues.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Yeah, okay. So here's the question, Like, at some point,
were you just staying there like somebody else is gonna
come through? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (09:02):
Yeah, poking my head out like.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Like did something happen?

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
There was one part where there was a big lull
in the action and I did the same thing. I'm like, hello, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
That's when I was checking my phone and then someone
through my phone because you know, I didn't want them to,
you know, I'm not supposed to be.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
On your phone.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Yeah that's true.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
So how was Cooper throughout the whole thing? Scottie?

Speaker 6 (09:22):
She let me tell you something. She was so into
it that she didn't.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Want to leave.

Speaker 6 (09:27):
And I'm like, Cooper, come on to nine o'clock, we
got to get out of here. She's like, nope, I'm
staying And she's just standing behind the thing with the
knife and.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
She said that to you with a knife, and the
two the.

Speaker 6 (09:36):
Two actresses that were in that room were like you
have no idea how awesome she was. We want her
to stay with you.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
That's so cool.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
So she was.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
She was just she was spectacular.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
When they were picking out her costume, they were like, well,
what did she want to be? So they had the
cute like you know, said the little doll costumes. I said,
oh my gosh, this is going to be so good.
Cooper goes, I want to be bloodied.

Speaker 6 (09:53):
Okay, she was, and she loved him. My other daughter
didn't didn't want to do the gore so much, so
she just she walked. But she didn't get the makeup.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
That's the other thing. The makeup artists and the costume designers,
you know, or the woman who put us in the costumes,
their visions like they're like, okay, what room are you in? Okay,
and then they kind of look at you and they
go this. And then the makeup artist just kind of
looks at you and goes okay, And she has this
whole vision that she does. It's just so cool.

Speaker 7 (10:18):
The guy who was doing Scary and Me, Nate, you
got it too, write the black light makeup. He's also
a tattoo artist, yeah, and an artist artist, like the
big painting that was on the front.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
He did that one took.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
By the way, if you go to Blood Manner, they
are auctioning off that and all the money for that
goes to Saint Jude.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Ah. I didn't know that can.

Speaker 7 (10:38):
I have a disclaimer here so you'll probably see photos
of all of us online. Mine look a little suspicious
because if I'm not in the black light, my makeup
just looks like blackface, and it was not. I looked
at some of the pictures and I was like, oh damn,
that's gonna look crazy. I'll never be president now at
some point it's gonna resurface. But in the black light,

(10:58):
that face was crazy. It was so so so crazy.
Outside the black light a little bit sketchy. So I
just want to put that out.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
There for the world. I didn't know until I walked
out and was.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Like, oh, you looked like something that should have been canceled.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
My face is like half green under the black light,
but on my win second when I went out into
the regular light, I'm like, cancel.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
How do you guys decompress? Like after like you spent
two hours screaming at people.

Speaker 6 (11:26):
Driving home for an hour?

Speaker 4 (11:27):
That was cool? Yeah, yeah, I gotta say there like,
well in Scottie, sorry you took the subway too right,
or no you got in the car and.

Speaker 6 (11:36):
No, yeah, but the guy in the parking it was
a different parking garage. It wasn't a normal one. And
I set a blood under my fingernails and spatter and
I had to walk by the police pricing too. I'm like,
this is not going to end with.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Your daughter, with your daughter time of year, so I
think they.

Speaker 6 (11:49):
Kind of that was still a week away.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
It's but New York City people did not give a ship.

Speaker 6 (11:53):
Like.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
The only thing that I noticed is people just did
not sit near me on the subway. I thought I
was that crazy.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
First you looked crazy as hell.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
I didn't even recognize you. You sent us a video
of you on the subway, and I'm like, who's that Dean,
that's Nate.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
That's balls.

Speaker 6 (12:05):
By the way, I would never do that, not on Halloween.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
You'll just walk by a police precinct. Oh bloody.

Speaker 6 (12:10):
I was just a little spattered, But I mean he
was still a hardcore.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
Was I gonna say, Oh, so my boyfriend's in town,
but he did not come to the hont house yesterday.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Did you hate text?

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Him, I'm going to yah, make sure.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
No, he's so, he's terrified of this stuff. He's like
worse than Sam.

Speaker 7 (12:25):
I don't like it either, but he was didn't want
to go fine when he opened the door. When I
came home, his immediate reaction was, thank God, I thought
you were still gonna have that fucking makeup in your face.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
I can't take it. It's great. I took it off.
It actually came off pretty easily for us.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Yeah, except for my hands.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
God he still has a home.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
I mean, I have parent teacher conferences today and I
have blood under my nails and still a little bit
on my facer.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
Then I can't get off.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Did you get it all off your neck?

Speaker 4 (12:49):
No?

Speaker 1 (12:50):
I have black stuff in my ear hole.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
H Yeah, I got in my ear.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Hole, my ears, and yeah, I still a little bit.
Actually around my eyes is the only place that I
still think I have it. I just ripped my eye.
I think.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
I guess it gets into like all the crevices of
like you know, my yeah, my fingernails, yernails, and look
at this, it's still all I don't know why a
dry skin on you have dry skin, It gets on
your dry skin.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
What are you going to do. It's all right, hazards
of the job, it was worth it.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
I do have a big red blotch on one of
my my sneakers that I wore, and I will not
wash it off because to me, it's memories of a
wonderful night.

Speaker 7 (13:25):
Oh my station hoodie that I wore because you told
a story something. We didn't care if I got all
messed up, so I wore one. What wore I know,
everyone's like, what would you wear that?

Speaker 2 (13:32):
It looks so cool. It's got a spray paint all
over it. Yeah, I think I will leave it like
that's awesome.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Danielle. I'm so
glad you talked us into it.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Yeah, you guys have no idea how much I appreciate
you being there. And it was a long day. I know,
we had to get there early, we stayed late. You
all came and we had a blast and it means
the world to me, so thank.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
You so much.

Speaker 6 (13:52):
And the listeners were amazing, it really were. I only
broke character twice. One guy was like, hey, man, where's
the cereal and pushed me.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
He pushed you.

Speaker 6 (14:02):
And then there was that one girl with the autograph
and I stopped to sign a physical.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
I ripped it out of her hand in character, wrote
my name and handed it.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
Back to her. I will say I would love to
do it if people didn't know who I was. Yeah,
because you know, inevitably you get oh that's.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Nate, You're Nate, right.

Speaker 9 (14:19):
I'm like, I got one, hey, Garrett, and I was
thinking it up, you gotta hate and then you pushed
her nice, I gotta hate Froggy.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
There you go.

Speaker 7 (14:31):
I jumped out and scared the ship out of some lady.
And then as she was turning to the corner, she goes,
where the fuck is Gandhi?

Speaker 3 (14:36):
I was like, nailed it. When we were outside, I
was trying so hard not to break character taking pictures
and this one girl is like, this is Danielle. I
think it's Danielle. I'm not sure. Hey, come take a
picture with I think Danielle Danielle. I'm really sorry, Okay.
And I still didn't break character because still was like
I'm not telling her all right.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
Well, next year the second annual, Yes and.

Speaker 9 (15:00):
You play that I Love You?

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Was it?
