Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your podcast, Melie Morning Show?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Why are you shaking your head?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Well, I was shaking it, no because I wasn't rolling,
But now I am.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
You shook your head like you were mad at us.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
No, no, no, I I was pouring milk into my coffee
and I just said no because I wasn't recording.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
But now I'm recording, so yes, Oh my god, why
did you do it like that?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Well that was a that was an emphatic yes.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
Are you catching all this?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Hi?

Speaker 6 (00:39):
So here we go the thirty minute morning show podcast.
We changed it to thirty minutes. Sorry, no, it'll be
less than fifteenth.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Yeah, I'm sure.

Speaker 6 (00:46):
Anyway, we're all here, Scotty Bee as you see is here,
and there's Gandhi and Scary and Garrett and Danielle is
back in studio tonight.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yes, in here straight mate.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
And there's my grandmother out there reading, Hey Grandma, no
idea grandma, and she's hard of hearing her.

Speaker 7 (01:09):
You got your microphone back?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
My gold mic is back.

Speaker 6 (01:12):
Nice.

Speaker 7 (01:13):
Was it in the boxes that we couldn't find?

Speaker 2 (01:15):
No? No, no, I had it at home.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Okay, And I'm so excited I got your old microphone
in here.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Oh no, you can sniff me? No he is, it's
so weird. Are you sniffing my breath? I did?

Speaker 8 (01:25):
So I have a question. You know, I come in
in the morning and I record stuff for like other
markets before the show goes, and I usually I was
doing it over there. But now that the gold mic
is there, do I need to pick a different microphone
to do on.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
No, you're more than welcome to us.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
Well that's a that's a change in tune. You remember
that scared Oh yes, we were not allowed to. Yes,
when Elvis went home, the microphone went with him. Yeah. Really,
He's like, if you ever have to sit here, which
you shouldn't, you need to unplug this microphone and put
in another microphone.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
That I never said that. I respect that.

Speaker 7 (01:56):
That's the Holy Graild microphone.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
No, no, no, no, My problem was with microphone. It was
sitting in my spot.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
That was my problem.

Speaker 9 (02:03):
A lot of things happened in your spot.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Do you remember what about the spittle?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
What about the spittle?

Speaker 3 (02:08):
You don't want the spittle in your mic?

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, well it really is.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Remember we used to have little puffs that we would
put on here and everybody would replace.

Speaker 9 (02:16):
Yes, they have those now in like still, like I
know in church, if they use the microphone, they put
like these. It sounds terrible, but it looks like a
little plastic condom over the microphone and then they talk
and then they take it off. Person comes, Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Think it was a COVID thing. Bring your own condom. Yeah,
well I think we should do that. The church approved.

Speaker 6 (02:37):
I was shit here, you know, in my spot with
my background, and when we were, you know, putting video
out around the world, it was my spot.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
It just was.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
And then I'd go online. They're scary doing his podcast
from my spot.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
I'm like no, Yeah, So I moved over and I
moved to a different microphone.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I don't care. It doesn't matter. I don't care about
my background. Yeah, exactly, easy, I'm easy. Man to your spot.

Speaker 8 (03:00):
You can tell who brought their mics from the old
studio and which ones did not. Oh d you see Danielle, Me, Nate,
Elvis all have different mics than so.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
It's your personal. Yeah, well that wasn't by choice. A
lot of them got lost in the move. So it
was the black ones are new and the silver ones
are the old ones.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
And this was not one. I had used before, because
I had to spend a good twenty minutes wiping whatever
crustfit on here. I ever to use this before.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
Well, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe this thing's
gonna come out of here every day.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Maybe that's a good idea of part of me. I
got the tickeups.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
Well, I don't know if you heard today's show, but
do we have any of this stuff going going up
on social media?

Speaker 7 (03:39):
Some of it is already?

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Oh, dear Lord. So our friend Robin Berger came in.
We love we Love Birdie. She's great. She says, I'm
gonna come in. I'm at a light sage and I'm
going to get rid of all the evil spirits in
your space. We're like, okay, we're in a new office.
Why not. It's not unheard of, it's very common actually.
So she comes in and before we even have her
on there, she's already burning it up. Man, the whole

(04:01):
place was smoked up.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
We go down. The halls were complaining, right, well, Deanna
couldn't leave because she's got asthma. She couldn't leave her studio.
I noticed I couldn't breathe as well. Sam's face was
literally green.

Speaker 9 (04:13):
I couldn't breathe because my cold as it is, and
that just made it worse.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
Well, this is what happens as the evil spirits are
leaving her body.

Speaker 10 (04:22):
So Robin came in for the first time, and I
guess she was expecting everybody to notice her when she'd
because you guys were on air. But since you weren't
on air and didn't see her, she goes, I need
to make myself known. That's when she lit up the
first part of the sage, and then Deanna, unfortunately, was like,
what is that smell? I can't stay She was playing
with the door. It was like opening close, Do I
stay in?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Do I go? Stay in?

Speaker 5 (04:43):
Go?

Speaker 7 (04:44):
So yeah, it was a scene before she even got
on the air.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
You know, we were able to tell from that that
these are not fire doors either, so they're not soundproof
and they're not fireproof because the smoke is all coming
through the door.

Speaker 6 (04:55):
To be fair, though, if you're going to do a
smudging or saging, you d you need to let the
spirits know you're there, and that's what she was doing.
She wanted to let herself be known, all right, So
I said, Robin, just wait to her on the air
and spark it up and when we're done, turn it off.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
It's just for it's just an on air bit.

Speaker 6 (05:12):
She says, oh no, and if anyone needs fudging, it's
you almis durand fuck, what have we done? I do
love Robin, but she's she's nuts in a great way.

Speaker 8 (05:22):
I thought it was awesome. And as you pointed out,
we were testing the security of the station and realize
there are some flaws. So now we can work it out.
Nobody can be mad at us because we were testing
things exactly.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
We knew that the fire alarm should have gone off
and it didn't. Yeah, people walking around going she.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
Can explain how the fire alarm works. So there's a
sensor up there that when it's clouded and covered or
not able to fill in the blank. How does this
smoke sensor work? Because at one point there was a
plume smoke from her and I'm like, if that hits
a sensor this, we're gonna be showered in water.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Well, they didn't do it, so we're wondering if it works.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Well, I'm going to differentiate. It must be able to
differentiate between actual fire smoke and like incense smoke.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
And she said no, no, you're safe. It's just sage smoke, right.

Speaker 8 (06:09):
One of the engineers was walking around when I went outside,
looking at the events, kind of trying to tap on it,
and he said, these should be going off. Oh, this
is weird.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
In the old studio, we would have to contact the
building and say, hey, we're going to be barbecuing or something,
because then they would turn the sensors off so that
in the event that there was smoke, it wouldn't trigger
the fire alarm and the sprinkler.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Do you remember when Kubby let up the Cubby used
the fog machine.

Speaker 9 (06:37):
And we had how many firefighters come up to the
building that thing that was just one of the fog
We were on.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
The forty third floor.

Speaker 9 (06:42):
Yeah, yeah, it's something's wrong.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
They didn't have ladders that long, so, yeah, something's wrong here.
But did we let the building know that we're done
with our smoke? They can turn it back on. Yeah,
because God forbid if something were to happen, and because
of our smudging ceremony, they turned off the building smoke
detectors and then something did happen.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Guess who's blamed?

Speaker 9 (07:03):
Of course, Well never, we'll never be able to forgive ourselves.

Speaker 10 (07:07):
I just don't get the popcorn situation. Like if I
were to make popcorn in the kitchen, I smoke along,
goes off no matter what. And then what we went
through this morning, nothing, Yeah, we.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Got to test that up. So there's that. Uncle Johnny
told some jokes today.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
Jody gets glasses in two weeks.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
No, he has cataracts removed it. Yeah. Something.

Speaker 10 (07:24):
It was interesting with Robin. She was talking about Uncle
Johnny and said he has a lot of spirits attached
to him, right, Oh, yeah, and so she had to
concentrate on smudging him even more.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
He's been around a long time and he's had you know,
people like die in his bed, things like that.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
So I guess she said, people are trying to suck
the energy out of him. Yeah, and then the spirits
are pulling in million different directions.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Oh she said that. She told me, Yeah, well maybe
that's what his problem is. People are sucking me. People
are sucking the energy.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Out of an asshole. Because I don't buy any of
that crap.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
You're for other reasons, you're an asshole, But how about
for that reason? No, you're not alone.

Speaker 9 (07:58):
A lot of people don't a.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Lot of people don't believe and you don't have to write.

Speaker 8 (08:01):
But you might be an asshole if you know somebody
really believes in it and you're like, I don't believe
in any of that.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Shows, Yeah, I just go whatever. Listen.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
I believe in UFOs and alien life forms and things
visiting us and there's other galaxies out there.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
But a lot of people don't. And they said that
you're crazy.

Speaker 7 (08:14):
I got to witness scary like actually he was.

Speaker 10 (08:17):
He was on the verge of going downstairs before Robin
left to get smudged outside. I believe it because he
started asking those questions, just like when he's on the
diet and he starts using all these diet words like
he's like in Like he started asking questions about smudging,
like he was about to go do it.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Yeah. No, I started smudging down alley.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
It also sounds like a porn term, get smudged.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Oh, smudge it. Yeah, I don't know something to that
door smudger. I believe in ghosts, all of it. I'm
I'm I'm on board for all of you.

Speaker 9 (08:43):
You know what, I thought it was happening yesterday. I
was talking to Connie about it. I went outside and
the air smelled so beautiful, like it smelled like that spring.
And I said, this is what they released out of
those balloons, I said. I said to my husband too,
I said, this is how they're getting us. The air
smells so sweet. I want to be outside. I'm breathing

(09:04):
in toxins.

Speaker 7 (09:05):
What did they do?

Speaker 3 (09:06):
It's the corn for the plant across the way, the
corn syrup from the plant across the way.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
What.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Yeah, it's corn syrup, that's what you were smelling from.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
What plant?

Speaker 9 (09:15):
Is that really what I'm smelling?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Yeah, there's a plant that goes far from here that
wafts across the river. That it's corn syrup.

Speaker 9 (09:22):
But it was in Jersey by me?

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Yeah, oh nothing that smells good in Jersey.

Speaker 9 (09:25):
Yes it does.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
It comes from New York.

Speaker 9 (09:28):
But I honestly thought it was like the balloon that
they shot down.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
It's one of my favorite jokes. Alex's mother told me much.

Speaker 6 (09:34):
She says, Oh, I told my husband come into the
bedroom and kiss me. Worit it smells, he said, But
we're going to Jersey.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Oh I don't know what that. Hey, my mother in
law told me a joke.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
So you think that the good smelling weather is it's
the balloons from shying of their killings.

Speaker 9 (09:56):
We don't know when they shot it down, what went
into the air. And I think this is to distract
us now and like suck the life out of us
or something.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
See.

Speaker 8 (10:05):
I want to I want to believe that they were
all actually extraterrestrial objects and we don't have any info
on them because they're aliens and they don't want us
to worry. That's my question. Please take me with you
than China.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Please anyway? Hey, what else? I'm out of things to
talk about.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
I disagree with that list entirely. The Disney The Disney
song didn't create it, but I didn't they answer who
voted on that? Were?

Speaker 2 (10:30):
They were seventy five years old, half the people, half
the songs at least half were good.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
Well half of them were good, but there were some
really obscure ones like how do you not.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Have uh life?

Speaker 5 (10:41):
Yeah? Sure were the Aladdin song?

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Yeah, a whole New World the.

Speaker 8 (10:44):
Top front like me, But I did ask Danielle to
come up with her own list so that we can
make up for this shitty list.

Speaker 6 (10:52):
The list but according to Danielle, and I would pay
to hear that much.

Speaker 7 (10:56):
Yeah, we'll do that tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Yeah, all right, well, I think we're done. We have a.

Speaker 6 (11:00):
Beautiful day, and I guess we'll see you next time,
whatever that will be. Bye bye, The fifteen Minute Morning
