Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
Firm Morning Show. All right, so we're in a studio
that normally is in ours. So it's like, it's like,
what's the Little Red Riding hood? What's what's the storybook

(00:25):
where she goes the porridge thing? Yeah, Little Red Riding
on the Goldilocks Cross and everything with trying to say
with two kids get put into a gretel. I'm sorry,
hand up a hill. That's Jack and Jel. Yeah, okay,
which one? Which reference were you trying to make Garrett?

(00:46):
Who lives in a show? I think it's Hunt for
Red October? Wow. So we're in a different studio recording
Angel Limerick thing on us. We were on a Limerick.
It's a it's a theme. Did you start going into
the movie theme? Was wrong? Of course? This is like
when you have a really nice car, you get into
a car accident and they give you a rental and
the rentals a piece of crap compit to your car.

(01:07):
First world problems? What is what do they sam? You're
in congruand you're just definite definition. I need help there.
She's saying things that don't match up to what we're
talking about. Their nonsequitar. It's one non sequitary after that.
I can't afford a car, so I can't relate to
your problem. I would love to relate to your problem.

(01:30):
That's why I said. So you're telling me people listening
to this, but you can't a submarine. For a second,
don't talk over me. I always talk over people. People
listening to this podcast. Don't have cars? Is that what
you're trying to say? Not all of them? Yeah, so
you have to have a car to understand the analogy
of using a different car. No, that's not the point. Though.
Have you ever driven a car? Though? Who are you

(01:50):
talking to? I don't know. Okay, you haven't driven a submarine.
You don't know that. But she's seen the movie. So
we're fifteen minute morning show. We're in a different studio.
I am Garrett. That is Sam scary, Brodie Brodie scary.
However you want to say it? There you go. So, yeah,
that's pretty much it. Yeah, I'm fine, you know, let

(02:11):
him have it. Let Brodie just have it. Because you
said I covered both, but he did. He said your
way first said both. It doesn't matter to me. Look
upset you are, I'm not upset. Sam was when I'm
in a car reference. I don't like the way. I
don't like it. Hold on, I don't like the way
this entire thing started off. First of all, I don't
like the chemistry between us four. This sucks. We gotta

(02:33):
we gotta mix this thing up. I don't know, I
don't like any of it. And Garret running Garret's running
the board. Hold on, no, wait, no, hold on a second.
You let's start with the reason why we opened the
way we did, before we went into the limericks and
and stuff, and before Sam changed the subject and then said, Brodie,
you know had white person problems or rich people. What

(02:54):
are you listening to people? That's what I want to know.
What was the initial thing that caused all sanity? Said,
we're in a different studio, and it's it's he said,
it's like then he started trying to make an analogy
using a fairy time. But what was the analogy you
were trying to make? It was it was Goldilocks where
the bears go into a bed, right, and they feel
like they're in a different well, she goes and she

(03:15):
goes into a bed and and she's in this hard
too soft, like the studio is different it's not the
studio that we're used to. It's like the three little pigs,
one of the houses made of brick as a gold mic.
This is the straw. This is the studio made a straw. Yeah,
this studio will blow over very easily. Okay, so this

(03:36):
studio is like this is you're the one that came
in here and goes they need to fix everything in
this stud I guess who's the big bed wolf in
this situation, huffing and puffing and blowing this whole podcast down.
Now back over the chemistry. The chemistry. Well, now, so
we started doing these these themes of limericks and and

(03:57):
fairy and then well fairy tales. And then Sam goes
into a hunt for red October reference and then look,
wait a minute, your favorite the car short and apparently
this she doesn't drive ruin Scary's entire day. Get over it, sweetie,
we're laughing. Stops the car short, Sam does. Maybe like

(04:23):
uber short, I'll get over it. Scary. Still, I still
want rich person's privileges of first world problems for making
a car reference. I already described it. I can't afford
a car, so I would like to have had that
problem is all, Wait a minute, I think Scary is
in a bad mood. Why did you walk in here
in a bad mood? He already wants to cancel the

(04:44):
Brooken Boys podcast. I'm not feelings something wrong with me
to cancel. Yeah, he wants to cancel this podcast. Let's
get to the root. Damn an appearance last night somewhere
I went to someone's birthday, which the same thing on
social media, say an appearance, and tonight he has another
an appearance, so he's not I'm not getting paid. I'm

(05:05):
doing a charity event tonight, but are you appearing? I'm appearing,
thank you at a charity. Hope you don't take a
car there because Sam will get upset unless you take
me to you want to come. I don't know what
tonight you know. I don't. Don't bring it Sam because
the chemistry is gonna be all wrong. Sam has Sam
has come to this event before party with purpose. That's
really nice for doing that again, that's all you want

(05:26):
to come. We have in a National Women's Day tonight,
No tonight, not today, Yeah, that's everyone, all women in
radio being honored tonight for simply today. At three o'clock,
we got one there are people being invited who aren't
very good. No, they're just going. It's a it's an
event to honor women in radio, but it doesn't say
like good women in radio, just women in radio. You know.

(05:47):
It's more of like a mixer and a work for everyone. Yeah,
as long as you're a woman. Yes, correct, Yes. In fact,
our entire sales team is going, like the entire building
pretty much is going every woman's So what do you have?
Brodie's like, what are you looking at that? He's got
a shitty. This is one of those things where if
anyone says, well, when is the men's responsible always being
every days men's day in radio? I would like an

(06:08):
evening where all of us men, only all the salesmen,
the radio men. Apparently we've had that throughout history. And
I really wouldn't want to hang out with some of
the people that we work with, but sometimes here in
the studio. Would you drive there in your car? I would,
because I'm rich nice telling about that. By the way,
there are people in the third world countries that have cars.
I'm just saying, where is this Who has ever nitpicked

(06:31):
the phrase third world country before? And where is the
Second world located? I know I didn't start the phrase. Yeah,
they get the World Series. The most first world country
has ever been picked apart by people. For the love
of God, that's what we do, Okay. I just want
to know. I just want I think that women should
be recognized. I love the fact that you guys are
having International Women's Day. Yeah, and you guys are all

(06:53):
hanging out together our second one. It's pretty cool. I
know Gandhi is going to be one of the speakers,
and Danielle like and Danielle to this year. Yeah, there's
like tables, there's gonna be like eight or nine tables
or whatnot, and we're all going to be broken up
and it's going to be small conversations and each of
these tables and whoever speaking kind of leads it. And
it should be pretty cool. And I don't and I
don't need a Men's Day to compensate. I'm okay with that.

(07:16):
I just know you're saying you're confident enough, you don't
need some party to make you feel good about yourself.
Is that what you're saying? No, that's no, no, but no,
but Brodie, I was I was counteracting Brodie's counterpoint to
Brodie's point that there should be International Men's Day. I mean,
you could have one if you want. I didn't say
INISA Men's Day, International RADI Men's radio Day, like a
radio fest for the men, but entail, you know, talking

(07:39):
sports and talking about the women that aren't there, and
then going why aren't the women here? And then all
leaving it. Now, that's that's an afternoon. Why you still
didn't explain why you can't come with me? It starts
at seven o'clock PM. Okay, well, let's see, it's a
good thing, so I should be I should be around

(07:59):
by that. You know, it sucks, like like she generally
she's trying to know it, but like if it was
not a charity thing. My answer with it's a charity thing,
I'm not getting paid. I mean, how would Sam even
get there? I love how Scary had to stay. Again,
he's not getting paid. She was just saying it was

(08:23):
a charity thing, and then you're like, I'm not getting paid.
But it's okay, it's okay, I'm not I don't need
to get he does do a lot of stuff, right, Okay, Scary,
you're a good person. We get it. The tone here
is so special. There's a very special tone in the
year today. I don't quite scary right. We should have
cancel this whole thing, canceled studio. I this, this studio

(08:47):
sucks to win down of me. Sometimes we're forced to
do the Brooklyn Boys podcast in this very studio podcast.
I'll tell you why. I'll tell you why it sucks.
It comes because of what Why does it sun? Because
get things of what Garrett said at the top of
this podcast. I'm only listening to myself in one ear
uh and and three of the microphones are broken, the
chairs are all broken. I'm sitting lower than I normally am.

(09:08):
I feel like I feel like I'm load of the floor.
You're sitting on the floor practically. And and then a
lot of times when we upload the podcast, the equipment
in the studio is so bad that it doesn't upload properly,
and then we have issues there so and then hold
on a second, No, the Brooklyn when we do the
Brooklyn Boys in here, did you stop yourself? He didn't
come out of it? Just sucks at this studio is inadequate.

(09:34):
And look at the lighting. The lighting is terribly can't
touch the lights because if we touch the lights, then
the Union guys. But the problem is it's playground by Madonna.
It's like a sixties motel with the light buzzes. I
had no idea. You were so passionate about the problem.
But here's the freaking hate this. But here's here's your
other thing. We have to do the Brooklyn Boys podcast

(09:57):
here on Fridays when he doesn't want to do the
podcast on Thur's days. So by calling out today and
not doing the Brooklyn podcast, he is forcing us to
do the podcast in here tomorrow. That's not that. But
in years, in weeks past, Brody was the one who
canceled on me on a Thursday, can't you I, I
don't mind the studio like, it's what Jamaica. Let's change
the topic. Okay, Elvis, you want to say, because this

(10:18):
really is the worst podcast? Is this the worst studio ever?
This is this is our old studio. This is the
worst studio ever. Here is what you missed was trying
to make an analogy that that being in this studio
not the regular studio is like, you know, a children's
fairy tale, like and then he couldn't think of one
that makes it. So everyone starts coming up with like,
is it like three little pigs up? Is it like

(10:38):
a little red riding hood? And then Sam goes hung
for October? We like, that's a movie. What are you
talking about? Children? What point were you trying to make?
Know that there's different things in this studio and like
the studio we normally recorded, like the microphones weren't working
chairs and only here one one headphone. The chairs are broken,
so it's not like the quality that we're used to,
and the lighting is trying to not Yeah, you know what,

(11:01):
this this old studio of Iris reminds me of do
you ever see the pictures from Las Vegas where they
take the the old Neon signs and it's like a
Neon signed graveyard. Well, that's where we are. This is
like the Neon signed graveyard of our of our show.
This is like, gone, do you never worked in this studio?
I didn't. I can't believe you guys did work in
this studio. Yeah, this is like a little bit better.

(11:22):
So I said, It's like when you have a really
nice car you get into an accident and they give
you a loaner rental car that's a piece of crap,
and you're like, oh, it's a car, but it sucks
compared to what I'm used to. So then Sam goes
first world problems. I don't have a car, like, is
that really like? She's like, I'm not rich like you?
For five minutes that I said that this is what
is and then Scary goes the chemistry with the four
of us sucks, which it does. I said, we need

(11:44):
to redo this. I'll tell you why, because without you,
what would they be talking about. I think Sam probably
added a layer of something to this podcast. Hunt for
About October. It's a great movie. That was a stupid answer.
The ship out of these guys mouth st you, I

(12:08):
pointed to Brody and Scary would have been a family
feud answer. I would have been so mad at you.
Believe you competitive? We're not competing right now. Don't compete
with me about competing. You know what You're wrong. So
Scary says, hey, I have an event tonight for a charity. Uh,
I'd like you to come with me, and she's like, well,
I have a woman's thing today, a woman's radio day thing,
and so Scary goes, well, what time is it? I

(12:29):
have to think tonight at seven? You can probably make
both in God's like, she clearly don't want to go scary.
That's why, very very intuitive to the cause. Can I
just donate because it's the whole podcast has been scary
going by the way, I have a charity event tonight.
I'm not getting paid for it. I'm not getting paid.
I didn't even get the invite. Same you should feel good.

(12:50):
I went to that with him last year and I
didn't be too Do you want my invite? I hear
it's trying to have a woman's Brodie's been sitting here,
hasn't gotten an invite to either. And wait and he
does the podcast voice this is This is the worst podcast,
the worst studio in the worst studio, always been worse,

(13:12):
had the worst analogies. We did our morning show from
Cleveland from the our Cleveland station, Kissed six five, and
they put us in this old studio they never used.
It had seven microphones. We're like, wow, we can all
fit around and we were still drunk from the night before.
Only one microphone out of seven works, so we all
had together around one microphone. It was like, no, not

(13:34):
with the cavirus. That's the studio in New Mexico. Very
nice people, but I had to lean on a ledge. Uh,
and it was like someone had to sit by a
filing cabinet. Luckily we're out of that studio now. That
was a great little studio. The one person who had
a seat, Elvis, was now at anyway, So what else?

(13:55):
What else are you getting from this podcast? Sam? Thank
god you're here for these guys. A little bit of diarrhea?
Why did these guys have so much hate in their
heart right now? Because we're so rich in on cars?
Me a car? You already have three daughters. You don't
need a car. I could use one to do what.
You don't need a car. You don't live in a
in a world that needs a car. That's true. I
mean it's helpful, but I don't need it. You're not.

(14:16):
Probably she needs a submarine? What about I don't know. Well,
I'm believing this is boring. Okay, run, Thanks for seven bye?
Could you tell someone to change the light bulbs while
you're out there? Did you name a childhood fairy tale?
This is a graveyard of studios past. How much time
is left on this card? O? Thank god? If you

(14:37):
listen episode one seventeen of the Brooklyn Boys podcast, the
first minute is him bitching, scary bitching about the studio
and how he does hates the wall collar on the
paint and it's lime greens. Be in this room with
scary again. I just why this minute more egg shell
