Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, Garrett, take Are you ready? Are you ready? Am
I ready? I say we do it? Are you scared?
I'm not scared either. Why do you ask if I
was scared? I want to know what I'm dealing with
here today. You know what you're I've been with you
for the last four hours. Let's launch this son of
(00:22):
a bitch. You ready, ladies and gentlemen. On the count
of three, let's say it together, and we're gonna say,
what too, three launch this bitch? You're ready? You're with
me talking to me. Everybody that's listening, we're all gonna
say it together. Right now, it's just me listening. We're
all gonna say it together. Same time. We're gonna say.
We're gonna say one to three, let's launch this She
(00:48):
would say, ship or bitch? Bitch or ship? What do
you feel launched a ship or launched this bitch? Why
do we say bitch? Right? Yeah, let's launch this rocket. No,
let's launch this ship. I'm about to hit the button
if you don't alright, on account of three, we're gonna say,
(01:10):
let's launch let's launch this ship. Got it? That is
why we have meetings, Okay, meetings about the meetings. We
should have had a meeting about this. Okay, here we go, one, two, three,
let's launch this ship. What would you talk about on
(01:34):
your on your podcasts show? All right, ladies and gentlemen,
boys and girls, children of all ages, come on in.
Let's all sit around the radio and let's listen to
the fifteen minute morning show, the Elvis Durant fifteen Minute
(01:56):
Morning Joe Podcast. Yes, I'm great, T. I got Garrett
over there, and we all know that when you hear
Greg T's voice and Garrett's voice together and it's not
the five am pre morning show, then one thing is happening,
and that one thing that's happening right now is an interview,
an interview with a celebrity in another room. So you know,
(02:17):
we did this last week and you decided to create
a totem pole of of people of importance. Yes, and
it was noticed by a lot of people listening that
where you ranked everyone on the show based off of
you rattling off their names. Right, Well, they're all the
important people and we're not. I mean, that's that's what
happens here. You've got Elvis Durant, obviously it's his show, right,
(02:40):
So he's the man. Right, Okay, then you got I
guess you would go to straight Nate because Nate is
our what we call. He carries the name executive producer.
So Nate's number two on yeah, because don't think think
about the word executive. There's nobody else on our show
with that title executive. I'll argue on that one. I
think I would put Danielle and Gandhi number two and three,
(03:01):
you can't because Nate is Elvis's right hand man. I'll
go Nate. I'll go Nate number four. All right, I think,
listen to me. I I understand what you're saying. I
really do, Like I totally get what you're saying because
you're you're thinking of the characters on the show of Importance,
and you're right. But the president, he said the followed,
(03:23):
But the president, who's would be Elvis, needs a vice president.
The vice president or even at least a secretary that
is executive producer, straight Nate. So really Nate's number two
because he's involved in all the meetings behind closed doors.
He's involved with all the salespeople, all the higher ups,
(03:44):
all the syndicating companies. So that's why he is the
number two guy. He has to be. Then who would
you put number three? Then I would go to the girls.
Then I would go to Danielle Gandi Ghandi. Danielle doesn't matter, no, no,
no solid numbers. Okay, then I can sing go to
Danielle only because danility, Yes, seniority, she's been here since
day one that the show started. So I'm gonna go
(04:05):
to Danielle a seniority based off of that, she should
be in front of Nate. No, because that's a character
though characters on the business level, Nate is number two
because he's Elvis's righting in man. Elvis calls him privately,
they'll have private conversation. So just because Elvis calls Nate privately,
that makes him number two. Well they will, they'll discuss
(04:26):
which direction the show is going, who's doing what? He
gets everything done the way Elvis wants it done. So
I'm thinking that he's the number two guy. You know what,
maybe you want to text into us or you want
to know not texting, how do how does the audience
respond to the fifteen minute morning show? Send us tweets
on Instagram? Alright, so d ms and tweets, you know,
(04:46):
feel free to join your email, Oh, email right, and
tell us what your thought is. Is Nate guy number
two or or or number two on the totem pole
of the Elvis during Morning Show? Or does it go
to Danielle because she's been here forever? And then gandhi?
All right, so we got through four. Now where would
you go five? So then five, I'm gonna say, is uh,
(05:10):
I guess that's where we scary. I'm gonna say that
five is scary because Elvis really needs Scary to do.
He does a lot of editing. He has to be
a part of some meetings. Um, he has to be
a part of the the production part of the morning show.
This ginormous board, what do you want to call an
electronic board? Nobody knows what a board meets with the
(05:32):
comment and the word let the audience know what it
is control panel? Right, So, like scary has to do
a lot of that stuff and like sound effects, music stuff,
that all has to come through scary. So I'm gonna
say scaries and the phone taps like scary is expected
to you know, crank call people. With the exception of
meetings you just described straight, Nate, you said little meetings
(05:57):
because Elvis doesn't really confide in he read the way
he does with straight Nate. Hold on one second. This
is a phone call I'm getting from Apple. Hold on
one minute. Hello, Hey, this is Angel. Give it all
as Yes, Angel, you know what, for some reason, it's
taking a little longer than I thought. But my other apps,
(06:18):
see I got I got a new phone. My buddies
here with me. I got a new phone. So Apple
is so cool. Apple calls back to like, let you know,
like they're here. They're waiting for me to turn it on,
like to actually access it with my phone number, but
they can't right now because everything has to be updated.
So she is I'll talk. This is the third time
Angels calling back. I love the way Apple works things.
(06:39):
The Apple is on point. I love how you're putting
the podcast. Okay, So Angel, okay, so you make the call.
How much longer do you think it's gonna take? Oh Um,
I couldn't say. It depends on how much this you
know that needs to be backed up because it wasn't
a lot of pictures and that went to apps. So
depending pun um, I need be called back another half
(07:01):
an hour, possibly if it because you said we're in
the last step right, a couple of apps. Yeah, so
then I would well, okay, here's what I would say,
in your best knowledge of you know, of working there
an Apple, how long do you think because I mean,
what do I know? I'm gonna go on what you think?
I think you are. You're a lot smarter than I am. Well,
I'm not directly Apple, I'm we're reson. I'm actually reson
(07:24):
wireless okay, Rison right, so um if we have like
another you know, some more apps, I mean I would say,
you know, hopefully let's in a half an hour. Okay,
so why don't we go with a half an hour then? Okay,
no problem at all. It's got you covered here. I'll
give you a call back um in about thirty minutes,
then we'll go from there. Do you hear that that's
the best customer service I've ever received my whole life.
(07:45):
In very rude no, I'm not. She's amazing, Angel, Thank
you so much, No, thank you for hanging in there.
I will talk to you shortly because I want to
make sure to experience with Fred was a great one,
and we'll get this red as rain for you. Seriously,
I'm telling you, Angel, no customer service ever talks to
me like this, You are amazing. Oh my god, thank
(08:06):
you so much. All right, I'll talk to you in
half an hour. Bye bye. I mean seriously, that is
amazing customers, but apologized to everyone. Listen, it's a side note.
It was a side note. I have a new iPhone
and I'm trying to get an updated right now. That's
what's going on. Okay, So back to the total pole. Yes,
so again, so I think it's scary is number five?
(08:27):
There's right, but you also described mostly everything straight Nate
does well, yes, but Elvis has privateness. If that's the case,
that puts Scary at number three. No, no, no, it's not.
I'm telling you. The way I'm saying is because Scary
I'm just look at yours. Because when you talked about
this briefly last week, everyone jumped on it because a
lot of times that Elvis will tell Nate and then
(08:49):
Nate will go tell Scary. So Scary has to really
do what Nate said, and then Scary tells you. No,
Scary doesn't tell me anything. No. Uh, we're different, we
have different we're different roles like that. It's different roles.
So I'm gonna say it scares number five. Okay, then
a list of importance. Um, I guess Brodie. Brodie is
(09:11):
very important because Brodie is very creative. He is the
creative producer director of the show, and he also hires
all the interns. So I think Brodie is very important.
I mean Brodie has to write Elvis like all kinds
of liners. He has to write him jokes. He has
to write them, um, you know, funny things to say information.
So I think Brodie then goes to number six. Okay,
(09:32):
where do you fall? Well, we're getting down there at
that point. Then you have, uh who else is important?
I guess Maybe then there's I don't know you and I.
I guess me you and Sam like we're kind of
like in there maybe like well, I mean I don't know.
I mean I'm the jokester of the show, so maybe
I'm number seven. Right. You bring him the sound, but
(09:54):
you do phone taps. I don't really do a lot
of phone taps, so I would say that that's more important.
Plus you also have Elvis's ear on information on information
when a guest comes in, you know a lot more
about the guests that I do. But I wouldn't put
you as low as you do well, I would think
that maybe you're a little bit more important. Maybe and
you do a lot of shifts over here at at
the radio station. You cover overnight shift, but that has
(10:14):
nothing to do about the morning show. I don't even
cover any overnight chefs, have nothing to do about the
morning show. I'm gonna say you're ahead of me. You're
a number seven. No, I think you're higher up on
the list. A right, I'm saying you're number seven, so
I'm still not there. I would put you. I would
put you. Wait, we have to go to number eight.
Hold on that this is your list, but I would
put you in your list at least behind at at
five maybe, well, okay, let's okay, that's fine, you can
(10:37):
say that, but let's get let's keep going. So at
number eight, I'm gonna well, you know what, Scotty B
is very important. Scotty B is one of our chief
engineers of the show. He has to make sure that
the satellites are running. He has to make sure that
everybody records all the pieces that they have to record.
He takes care of our traffic. Our traffic department talks
(10:57):
to Scotty B. They coordinate all the tray affic together, Um,
Scotty B. Make sure that all the contests are all loaded,
that all the winners are right. Scotty B has got
a very important job. So you're getting down to ye.
I think Scotty B is at number eight. Josh Jake, Oh, Josh,
coaster boy, Josh, he is our imaging director, Josh Jake
(11:20):
And Diamond. Well, okay, wait, so okay imaging Oh a Diamond, Diamond.
When you rattle this off off the top of your head,
you don't think about everyone, you know, when you call
one hundred, you answer to Diamond. And it's Diamond's responsibility
to weed through the crappy calls and then to put
on a good call. Because if we have bad phone calls,
(11:42):
we're gonna have a bad show. So Diamond is very
important to put on good phone calls. Diamond could come
in there like round nine. Maybe she's right there behind
Scotty B. You're putting Jake at the bottom. Well, Jake
does editing for Elvis Duran dot com like videos content,
but that's not got Kathleen to web girl Kathleen who
runs the website. But again I would say web Girl
(12:05):
Kathleen and Jake, I would say anything past six, six
through the rest is arguable. You know what, maybe I
can go above them because they need content. And if
you go to Elvis during dot com you see tons
of great t videos. That's why I say you're right.
Number five is no. I would think that you maybe
I'm about maybe I'm at number ten, I'm ten most
important person. You're the tenth most important. I think I'm
(12:27):
the tenth most important person. You're very good. You're very
good at knocking yourself. I think you're there at number five.
Solid number five, you got Elvis. But okay, if you're
talking about characters on the show, No, I'm just talking
about the show in general. But it's hard to say
because we all different responsibilities. Bro correct, I understand that.
But at the end of the day, though, it's it
goes back to the founding, uh you know, okays founding forefathers,
(12:51):
the the the the President's you know, if that's the case,
if there was a table and we were sitting on
the table of um, of how long we've been here
and see see you're judging based off of how long
I'm just saying overall importance, well maybe of how Okay,
of how important you are to the audience on the air,
not just the audience overall, the overall package. But Elvis
(13:13):
could do the show without me. I mean, that's why
you're at number five and six and not number one.
He doesn't really need me though, you know, saying that's
why I didn't put you on one or two. Guy, Yes,
I mean I'm I'm flunky and guy and put you
out one or two. I put you right number five,
number five. So Elvis somewhere in there, Danielle Gandhi net scary.
(13:35):
So I'm kind of funnier than scary though. Again five
or six? All right now, now you're talking about five
or six, one to three, I put your five five.
You just put your yourself at six, then I guess
I would be five. I think I'm a little more
important than scarious, Yeah, because scary says awful things sometimes
that the only people that doesn't like I don't know
upset any the order you did too today you said
you hated Meryl Streep, but you're what, why is that
(13:58):
such a big deal? I don't understand. See, you don't
even hung up on that because you can't deal to
not like Meryl Streep. As an actress. You can't tell
me why you hate her. I don't. Okay, hate is
a strong word, but it's like, okay, I dislike Meryl Streep. Okay,
here this Meryl Streep is a talent. Meryl Streep is
a Hollywood Hall of Famer, Meryl Streep has award. I
(14:23):
think that she is always granted the Red carpet for
everything that she does. No matter what she does, she's
always either in like either she's in the uh, the
the best actress category or she's in the best Supporting
Actress category. And I just don't think that she needs
to be a part of everything all the time. Don't
you have an actor and actress that you don't like?
(14:44):
Tell me now, you don't have one actor actress that
you don't like. There's got to be I don't want
to see that movie where you say that where you go,
I don't want to see that movie because he's in it.
There's gotta be all right, let's go through the list,
you know what? Right now, Ladies and gentlemen, if you
want to chime in on this subject, is there an
actor or actress that you don't like because of whatever
(15:05):
reason in Hollywood? Whatever reason. It is the Bridges of
Madison County, the Devil Wears Parade. She was fattist in
that she was okay, Sophie's choice. She was going to
the post. She was gonna post. Shall I keep on going?
The Iron Lady Cramer versus Crazy right there, the Iron
Lady right there. I will not see the Iron Lady.
(15:28):
I will not watch her in that role she is.
I will not watch her in the iron lady role
because she's not the Iron Lady. She's not who is
She's not. I will not give her that. I will
not into the woods. She was an adaptation, Yes, The Hours,
Falling in Love, Hope Springs, silk Wood, One True Thing,
(15:50):
Angels in America, Angels America, Never sewn movie, the Saw?
Can I keep on going? I'm allowed to dislike in her,
but you don't know why you dislike her. I think
she's a very nice person. And look, I already said,
she's a Hall of Famer in Hollywood. Where's the dislike?
Because she has to win everything has to be a
part of she win everything because Hollywood rolls the red
(16:11):
carpet out for because she's talented. You know we are
going to agree to disagree that you're back to number ten.
You're back to number ten on your number ten on
the tour. Like number two run and already, Elvin, you
are number two. Goodbye, guy to jop the Show, the
fifteen minute Morning Show. God damn it, come on.
