Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast,
Firm Presents Morning Show. Yeah, all right, here we are
to me along with Gandhi and uh, Dave Brody and
Scary and there's great Tea, and there's Garrett and there
(00:26):
Danielle's doing something. She's coming in a straight Night may
come back. I doubt it. Straight Night is just way
too busy for the fifteen minute morning show podcast. Way
too busy. Uh. And we'll get into something. Gandhi had
a great idea. We'll get into that in just a
second when Danielle gets back. So anyway, today is Thursday.
We just got finished doing the big show for Thursday morning.
(00:46):
Tomorrow is Friday, May tenth. All the weekend, Thank you,
Sweet Jesus. Do you find that you just live for
the weekends? I really do. But what's weird is that
it's it's weird because I love my job. So it's
not like I'm trying to get out of here, but
the when the weekend comes around, I'm still excited. Well,
I think you like your job because you have two
days away from it. Maybe if you're seven days a week.
(01:10):
Any plans for the weekend, Gandhi, I'm going to hang
out with my cousin. Yeah, what about I like what
you're saying. That scary. What are you doing this weekend? Well,
I'm really excited because my brother got a new house
and he is hosting Mother's Day for the first time ever.
And and he's kind of one upping me on this
because I've never hosted a Mother's Day at my house
and considering this is the brother who was not expected,
(01:33):
he was an Oops. Baby, my brother is a baby.
I found that out very recently. And you're you're mad
because your mom lied to you about about that all
these years. Yeah, my mother's been protecting Why do you
need to know that it's your brother? No matter what.
It's deeper than that. My my parents have held back
a lot of sensitive information about family fights and things,
and and this is that's just one detail of the
(01:54):
many things. Was there a problem with the fact that
your brother was not expected? Well, no, it's just my
mother likes to sugarcoat things. She doesn't tell the truth.
She's been dishonest with me, and I feel like I
need to really talk to But wait a minute. By
by making your mom feel badly about having a child
that wasn't completely planned out, you're making her feel like
(02:15):
she made a mistake or something. Oh no, no no, I'm
not saying she made a mistake. She but she she
should have told me about Why is it a big deal?
I wanted to know that my my brother was an
oops baby. I mean, I feel like it's family and
oops baby is not lesser than a plant baby. But
what you're doing is making it seem that way. It's not.
I just would like to have the need to know
(02:36):
what you're saying. I want my family. I want to
know my family history. I have a right to that
for me. But okay, as far as far as family
history goes, why is that so important? How planned out
you were, it's just useless trivia and my family, But
look how many you're making a big deal out of it.
Nothing a big deal, isn't bastard? Yeah, they aren't protected,
(03:01):
but they weren't trying. So my mom said, whatever happens happens,
and I came. But I came sooner than they wanted.
I think Scary wants to be able to tell his
brother if they ever have a fight. At least Mom
wanted me that's what he wants. Look at him, Look
he's look he's peacocking. I don't. I don't think you
think these things through. So it's not a big deal.
It's not. I don't think it is. But if you
(03:21):
think it's a big deal scandal, I feel betrayed. I
feel Happy Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day. Hey Brodie, what's
up with you today? Well? You know what, this weekend,
I'm getting to two rooms painted that should have been
painted a long time. I won one room I had
primed the wall in two thousand three and we never
painted it. So tomorrow we are painting the guest room.
(03:44):
Very excited. Now when you say we, the guy I
hired who doesn't speaking this very well? Okay, good? Uh yeah.
And then it's Mother's Day, so I'm seeing my mom
and of course taking my wife and the kids out
to dinner. What are you doing this weekend, Gregory? Go ahead?
Run so um? So tomorrow night, obviously it's Friday, so
uncle ted shed um, and I'm bringing your friend with
(04:06):
me that wants to be in anc Ted shed as well. Yes,
so we're gonna have a good cigar and some whiskey
in the shed. And then on Saturday, Uh, much needed rest. Honestly,
Saturday's gonna be a great day. It's for merely for me,
Tricius some things to do, so I have the whole
day to free, which is great. And they we're gonna
meet up with some friends for dinner on Saturday night
(04:26):
and then Sunday. I usually I thought you were having
dinner with us Saturday night. You've been begging me to
have dinner. We set it aside for you're not having
if you're available this Saturday. You've already already had plans.
That means I'm not available for at least under five months.
This is going to go on and on and on,
I know. And then Sunday's Mother's Day. So Sunday I'll
(04:47):
see my mom. And I was a little insulted because
I was ready to host it like I usually do.
But this year my mom wants to host it. I'm
kind of like, you know, let her do it. Moms
love to work on Mother's Day. It's been getting offended
by their mother. I don't know weekend, I know, I
don't know. Everyone has a problem with their mom. Hey,
our friend Stephen Levine is in town, the pr guru
(05:08):
to the stars. What are you doing this weekend here
in New York cause he lives in l A. Now
you know, yes, I am going to Israel. Awesome, I
know your birthright. M Well, it's an organization called the
Creative Community for Peace and Um they're bringing a lot
of music executives out to experience Israel and show them, um,
(05:32):
how safe it is and how beautiful it is. That's
great encouraging the music business to come out there more.
If Stephen Levine went to his birthright, he'd go to
Jersey Freehold. This weekend, my two nieces have their prom
out in Pennsylvania, so they asked if I come see
them off with their dates and be the cool uncle.
(05:55):
That's nice. And Danielle, your weekend is right. I will
be taking my mom our whole family. Were going to
brunch and early brunch and then we have a lot
of sports stuff going on. Um but oh that no,
that's tomorrow. Oh yeah, that's get back to that a minute.
And straight eight, what are you doing. We're going to
see a cirque showIn Hey. So uh coldon osculpy, I've
(06:19):
had three. I've had one this week. The day before
the day before, you got to cleanse everything out, everything
has to go. Today has a three o'clock. Yeah, I mean,
you drink this stuff that just goes right through you,
and you have to basically never be more than three
feet away from a toilet print entire day. Well, I
have that. You know, I'm going to be um. I
think I'm going to binge. Watch Jane the Virgin tonight
on Netflix. That's my Netflix choice. Make sure you have
(06:41):
a TV in the bathroom. Yeah, I have my iPad ready.
I was told moist wives butt cream. Yeah. Yeah, because
you get really wrong, really yeah, because last time I
don't remember being at bad, but they did say the
stuff I have to drink is actually not No, they
said this one doesn't taste too bad. So they say that,
(07:03):
and then they have to drink I have to drink
this stuff, and then I have to drink five eight
ounce glasses of water. You're gonna it's gonna be crazy.
But the thing is you go into a very light
sleep when they poke up your whole, and then they
get out of there, and they have pictures of things
they might have found and they get rid of them
and whatever. It's all good. It's all good. I mean,
And the reason I'm getting it is I'm not even
of age. Yet to get it. But I have a
(07:23):
lot of you know, stomach things. So they're like, we
want to make sure all right, well happy. So speaking
of Danielle gandhi, yes, GODDI had an idea, go ahead.
So our friend jarre Lie, your very good friend Jarrelle,
passed away yesterday and one of the things that we
talked about involving her was her bucket list, which we
(07:43):
were on and you guys did a really good job
of making all these things happen for her. So I
was just wondering what's on everyone else's bucket list in
the room. God, you know, we live these charmed, wonderful lives.
It's kind of hard to think, Well, what am I
What have I missed? I know, but I know that
there's stuff that everybody really wants to do and hasn't
(08:05):
had a chance to do yet. And I say, we
put it all out there and we all start doing it.
Do you have something on your bucket list? Oh my gosh,
my bucket list is so long. Yeah, they're all minds,
all travel stuff. There's places I want to go and
well everywhere. I mean, I'm but I realized I'm I'm
too old to visit everywhere I want to go. I
don't think so, because I want to stay at each
place for like a week or two. I think you
have like forty weeks at least left. I need to
(08:26):
get to Asia. Okay, Brody, what's on your bucket list?
Painting that wall in my guest room? So that's a
done deal, that's fair. I want to travel Asia. I
want to go to Japan and China and Singapore and
and uh because you know I've started to travel more
but I haven't gone that far yet, and that it's
such a different world in different cultures. That's what I
want to say. As long as they have food, I'll
(08:47):
eat roundhead. What's on your bucket list? Um, you know
it's it's been weird. I didn't have a really long,
lengthen bucket list because through my job, working with you,
I've been able to do so many crazy things that
normal Josh moos have never been able to do. But
on your you know, it's weird. So here, okay, you
know my bucket list would be is that when I
(09:08):
was a young punk, you know, going through school and
going on class trips, I never really paid attention, Like
I didn't really care, so like when we went to
the Statue of Liberty, I was making far jokes or
you know, horse start my friends exactly. So now I've
gotten older, I would like to maybe go back to
some of those class trips and take it in again
and say it for what. It's really wordy. So going
(09:31):
to the Statue of Liberty would be you know, something
on that list, but to actually experience more mature and
understand what it's really all about, why it's there. Yeah,
take it all in Ellis Island. Why is the Ellis
Island there's you know well, I mean I know, you
know that that's where the immigration, you know, immigrants came through.
I get all that. But again, when I went there,
(09:51):
it was nothing but like, look at this. This is
a picture of somebody's you know, uh, this is there
this and I mean it, I was making jokes. I
never do you want to go back and see what
you missed? Yeah, that's right, because I I'm smarter now,
more mature now, and I can appreciate it more now. Okay,
very good. That's actually there's a great foundation of purpose there.
(10:12):
I like to, hey, what about you, Garrett. For me,
it's more, it's it's not I travel a lot, so
maybe Australia, but I also want my name to be
announced at Yankee Stadium and get to walk up to
the home plate and at least, you know, you know,
while people are in the stands, they don't have to
be just as long as my name goes over the
speaker and it sounds like I'm a part of you know,
(10:35):
the Yankees, and get to swing a bat. Now, what
about you? Stephen Levine pr Gurut of the Stars thought
about this ever, like what do you want to do
before you before your days are done? One thing I've
always wanted to do is do the Sound of Music
tour in Austria. Yeah you can, and do you remember
Samantha Starbros. She did it and she was like, Stephen,
(10:59):
you have to go do this tour, like I remember
all the places that were in the featured in the
film A Sound of Music. That's cool. Actually have like
are you gay? By the way? And then I would
like to also come out of the closet at the
top of the hill. Okay, you should come out of
the closet. Perfect place to do it, all right, do
(11:21):
that Stephen Levin's bucket list. He's going to come out
of the closet. Really, yeah, straight, what about? I want
to do a voice over for a Disney movie, Okay.
I want to throw out the first pitch at a
Yankee game. I want to own a children's entertainment company.
I want to open a boutique. I want to design
a shoe line. And I want to perform on Broadway
(11:42):
and so I have a lot. Oh my gosh, we
have two of the same. I have a lot of
things that need to be done. Yeah, you know, I
would like to do something Broadway issues as well, you too, Oh, totally.
I would love to do something on Broadway. I would
love to be a Disney voice in a movie. I
want a pet raccoon. I know that's goofy. I want
to hold a koala. I want to go on a Safari.
I want to be able to like take care of
my parents and my sister, like pay off my parents
(12:02):
mortgage by my sister house. Um. I would like to
sing on stage with Beyonce, write a skip for Saturday
Night Live, or like be on Saturday Night Live in
a skit. There's so much stuff that I feel like,
Oh my gosh, you guys have some great stuff on
your list. I want to go to Barcelona. I'll I
want to go. What about you? Straight night? What's on
your buckets? Actually, when Jarlee was in here, I made
(12:25):
an Instagram post and I put my bucket list. Number
one see the pyramids. Number two. Write a bull for
eight seconds. I don't know if that's gonna happen. Write
a motorcycle from Argentina to Alaska. Number four. Stare at
the night sky from one of the darkest spots on Earth.
Number five have a conversation in Spanish without asking coma
c D say, how do you say? Six? Meet Tom Hanks,
the only person I ever wanted to meet, the only
(12:45):
celebrity I really care about. Number seven bungee jump, Number
eight ski down the mountain without falling, and number nine
learned how to moon walk. I think those are great. Wow,
that's a great bucket. Can you see a bear or
a ball bowl? Okay, what would you want to handle
the partisan? I want to write a bear. That's impossible.
I think we can make Tomas happen. We can. The
(13:08):
only person I've been excited about meeting in this business
is Tom Hanks. Only lives in New York. Toy story
for us coming out in less than a month. You
make it happen. I'll be surprised. I think we get
forky on the show and there you go. You know,
it's important to have these things on your bucket list,
like scary what's on yours? You know what, I don't
really have much because you guys ples the comparison to
(13:30):
what Dan, Yelle and Gandhi and Nate just said, did
you hear uh? Straight and age bucket list to be
able to lie on the ground and look up and
see the stars without have any lights around you, like
in total darkness. That's extreme. That is really simple. That
is nice. It's simple, but it's intense. Like you know,
I am inspired by you, Elvis. I do want to
write a book someday, you know, I know that, and
(13:51):
I do um. You know, after visiting Singapore with Gandhia
a couple of weeks back, it makes me want to
see more of the world because I've been wasting my
entire life hanging out in the same five city easy.
So I want to see more of Asia because you know,
I just want to spend the globe, you know, stop
you know, my fingers somewhere and fly there. I want
to be able to do that. Um, and I want
to be able to provide for my family, my parents.
(14:12):
I want to be expense for my children. Yeah, i'd
like to. I don't think I want kids. I don't
think i'll say that. I don't think I want kids. Okay,
I don't want kids. Okay, do you want? So it's
so stop it on your on your bucket list it
says no kids, done that, and yeah, can we mention
(14:36):
maybe things that were on our bucket list that we
had to take off our bucket list because you're well,
my whole life up until I don't know about ten
years ago, on my bucket list was to say live
from New York at Saturday night. You just did. Yeah,
I know, but on Saturday Live obviously, but I feel
like that day that's gone. Oh no, it's never gone.
Don't rule it out. That's okay. I have things on
your bucket list you never get to maybe your next
life fifteen minute morning. So
