Speaker 1 (00:00):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
Firm Elvis Presents Show What do you watch? Who are you?
Matthew McConaughey. Now days in a row. You don't say

(00:22):
a word when the mike's go on. Now you make
an animal sound. He's watching a video. We're not together today,
everyone's doing something different. Yeah. I get very distracted by
animal videos and I don't even know how I end
up on these. I mean, obviously Instagram is in my
life and my brain. I actually had to pull my

(00:42):
phone out of my pocket throughing a commercial break and
show Elvis this Facebook video that's going around with this
little kitten climbs up from on the kitchen floor, just
climbs up the back of her owner. Definitely hurt like hell,
that's what Elvis clause clause clause. But the kitten went
it looked like like an ninja k and then went

(01:02):
right up to her shoulder. Yeah, I don't know why
I got. Animal videos are the best thing. A monkey
wearing a hat with bunny ears and every time he
pulls one side of the buddy ear goes up. It's amazing.
Races make you happy. They really do. Like I'd say,
sixty percent of the pages I follow on Instagram or
an animal of some sort. What about the pigeon steal
on the Pageta chips. It was on TikTok once friend

(01:25):
posted it. It was like a pigeon to the tune
of Dune d Dune La Day. It was a pigeon
who wandered, who kind of like waddled into a store,
grabbed the potato chips on the bottom shelf, and then
ran out. I appreciate that. The first time I came
to New York, I watched a pigeon eat vomit. That

(01:45):
was exciting, but not on not on Instagram. In person, yeah,
in person I saw in fairness it's New York vomit.
So it's better good points. Hello everybody, fourteen minutes, guarante
d you know everyone's got their phones out. Okay, So
yesterday Brody said, right before the podcast started, hey, why

(02:06):
don't we talk about this? And then the podcast started
in a completely different directions, so we could do what
Bronie wanted to do. All right, but now listen when
I set it up, it's gonna sound political, but it's
not political. Don't be political. Give by the way, he
gives his disclaim round the Brooklyn Boys. Go ahead, you
can leave tea, I can for you. The word political
makes me go right, which is why I said it's

(02:27):
not political, alright, blicitly stated it. Congressman California Congressman Devin Juniez,
it's not political. Stick so he is a very um
polarizing politician, and so it's not politics. People created a

(02:48):
bunch of fake accounts like Devin Juniaz his mom Devin
dun Cow, and they tweet, you know, stuff that's funny,
but they also tweet insulting shit in him, hurtful, abusive,
you know, like Twitter. You know you've all been on Twitter.
And so he's suing Twitter for like five hundred million dollars,
and so a lot of us get hate tweets and
hate Instagram posts, not thinking we may not be worth

(03:10):
five hundred thousand, but I gotta think Gandhi's at least
worth it's suing for two hundred grand Hey, I think more.
I think I could get millions get from from all
different directions. There's no Gandhi's cow from Twitter account. Yeah.
I get physical stuff, I get political stuff. I get
all kinds of stuff, you know, there will be by
the end of Gdie's cow scary. How much are you worth?
But they hate you? Get hate? I get how much

(03:31):
should I sue Twitter? For ye? If you if you
were going to sue Twitter or social media in general,
D hundred grand worth of of abuse? Okay, if he
gets a hundred grand, I definitely want a couple of mills.
Fair enough. Danielle, everybody loves her. I don't know. Really,
I don't. I don't I consider myself pretty lucky because

(03:52):
her laugh is horrible, she sounds horrible. Get her off.
I can't stand listening on the radio to live with that.
Daniel would win the lawsuit and then give everybody the
money I did get once. Um is Danielle pregnant? Um,
she looks like she's gained a feel. I did get that.
But for the most part, I can I don't consider

(04:14):
myself pretty lucky. That I don't really. I don't get
very lovable, which is you're very lovable to you. I
can be more of a dick, which is why I
understand because when you're new, I I honestly think because
when I was first new, your hat, when I first
kept got here on the show, we didn't have Instagram
and all this stuff. But we had a wait, we

(04:35):
got it. We got a bunch of emails saying that
they couldn't stand my voice. It was so annoying and
squeaky and blah blah blah. I ran downstairs in our
old building hysterically. Elvis had to send somebody down to
get me. He said, don't do this and I go
this anymore, And he said, you need to take your
hate mail when you first get it and frame your
first piece of hate mail, because he's just you know, yeah,

(04:59):
framiye tweets. No. You know what I did um for
Halloween costume a couple of years ago. I was social
media and so of social media get it. And I
made a little print out of all the mean stuff
and all the nice stuff that people say, and I
just carried it around with me like a frame. And
I still lost the costume contest at work, which is
bullsh my gosh, you know I lost. Like that's so

(05:21):
I really don't get that much. I mean direct all
hate I did get. You know, I don't deserve to
be a represent diabetes. I got that one. I don't
have diabetes, and you got the type. What are you.
What are you doing wrong that you're not a good? Uh?
I guess being on this earth. I don't know that

(05:42):
that's that's one I took. Um, that's one that's still
got out with the rest really nothing. So maybe like
twenty bucks bucks, I don't get that much. I don't.
I mean I every now and then, like I get
something like pops up out of nowhere, But you know,
it does get me angry. What I think is that

(06:03):
I think the the listeners think that they can get
away with it with me, but for me, Um, I'm
not gonna walk on pins and needles for him. So
I'm gonna go rip right at him and it doesn't
bother me at all. Like I think that people are surprised, like, well,
I just sent him, you know, a tweet that he's
not he's not gonna like and like I'm gonna go,
oh my god or whatever, be upset. What they don't

(06:25):
understand is that I'm gonna touch cannon. I'm I'm I'm
so because I have a uh you know, I I
was screw loose and I'm not. I'm just gonna attack
them back like that and I shouldn't, but I do.
But I think a lot of times if you just
leave it alone, the listeners take care of it for you.

(06:45):
Ye Like, we have so many listeners that come to
our defau Instagram because the post stays there, it goes
by and you don't see that someone just insulted team.
That happens to me where it goes by the while
you be a nasty that guy go because you missed
the part where he was. That's why you got. You
gotta retweet it so that the people see what they
said and then see what you said that. The only
time I get upset, like I get nervous is when

(07:07):
I do strike back. I always think, like, man, Elvis
is gonna read that, and then he's gonna be mad
at me the next day for doing that, or management
is gonna be mad, like why did I do that?
I shouldn't So if I if I didn't care that
Elvis or even management, my heart would be mad. Then
I would strike back even more alone. But they haven't
really said anything to me for striking back. I got
very worried about that too, because there were a couple

(07:28):
there have been you know, you guys see it a
couple of times where and Elvis was actually like Hey,
if they come at you first and you're not saying
anything that's you know, gonna get us in trouble, like
any racial Um, say what you want to say, like
go off at people. They started it. You know, you
hit me first, I hit you last. What about you, Bertie? Well,
first thing I do is I check to see if
they follow you, guys. I do because I want to

(07:49):
see if you're a listener, because they clearly have probably
unfollowed me at that point, I love yourself and I go, oh,
I go through there. I see what the verified people
are that they follow, and if it's not you, eyes
or the show or you know, so I could tell
what kind of personal about who they follow, then I'm like, oh,
they're not a listener. So I got attacked this week hardcore.
Earlier in the week because I sent something nice about

(08:11):
the shootings in New Zealand, I set my condolences to somebody.
Uh Muslim people were very kind, thank you from all
over the world, thanking me because I guess as verified,
it shows up a little more often, and people who
didn't agree that I should be commenting on it were
vicious to towards me. Um. And then but I'll be
honest with you, I get more hate from people thinking

(08:32):
I'm David Brodie, the Christian broadcasting network David Brodie that's
on Fox all the time and interviews the president because
we have the same name. So when people are mad
at him, they called me a terrible Christian and uh
an awful, how am I? How am I religious? And
and I'm a piece of crap and all that. You know.
I'm like that, that's not me. I'm not even Christian.
So I'm a terrible Christian. I'm not a Christian. But

(08:53):
if I if I could sue for the hate I
get being that guy, I'd get a million. Yeah, the
one question that I that I do have And and
I noticed this recently, you know, we're um, I guess
we've been talking about a little bit more, bringing it
to more to the spotlight that you know, we too get.
You know, you know some hate tweets from time to
time and things like that. But I was wondering if
it's there's a way that we can like not even

(09:15):
talk about the hate tweets that we get and kind
of like just ignore them and talk more about the
really nice tweets that we get. Like we all get
really great positive tweets, right, and we all do all right,
we like even telling we could have started the podcast
and be like like gandhi, tell us about some of
the great tweets you've gotten, like, oh my god, you know,
but we we always gloss over that focus on the negative,

(09:36):
focus on the negative, right, I can't I can't see
Twitter for the nice things. Yes, but it's what I'm saying, Like,
so we even the it's a good topic and I'm
not getting brought it's a good topic. But what I'm
saying is we now brought a topic out about hate
tweets rather than bringing a topic to the podcast about
some of the good tweets that we get. Okay, So
to that point, the reason that I have kind of

(09:56):
said some of stuff about the hateful things is because
I get a lot of d ms from people who
are like, I really like the way you laugh at
it and let it roll off your shoulders. It's a
good lesson to us to not take it so seriously,
and I really do. I try to comment back to everybody,
the nice people for sure, and then the mean people
just be like, get out of my life. She's much
better at that than I am. Because she's like, Okay,
well you know what, you can just look away or

(10:17):
I appreciate your feedback on how big my eyes are.
Thank you, because even I go at them, though I
get mad four too, like teeth and someone I didn't
like what awkward I was reading it. I was like,
be about to smash this time. I got. I got
so time letters, exclamation points. I've been seeing Gandi get

(10:42):
attacked and it really did bother me to the point
that I'm like, you know what, I've had enough. I'm
now going to say something I just couldn't do anymore.
But but even like on the text messages, sometimes we'll
get a text message that's like, oh my god, today
your show stinks. It's boring, you know, and like well,
and then you know, Elvis will laugh it off and'll
go and we'll be on the air like, oh, look
at that they're saying. The show is born. Block them,
get them out of there. You know. I just I

(11:03):
think we should just not even say anything and go
look at this one right there, they're saying that we're
awesome today, and like call them up and then have
them on the show. Think about that we're awesome. Think
about this podcast if we all sat around reading how
all the complimentary tweets, think about how the reality show.
If you watch a reality show all it was with positivity,
you wouldn't watch it, you wouldn't worry. But it's yeah, exactly,

(11:25):
people go through this every day outside of just you know,
being on a radio show. But kids sitting in class
right now, they're they're getting it behind their back or
on social media. So if I could say on this topic,
if you guys have a chance, John Oliver this weekend
on Sunday, on last week today, last week, the interviewed
Monica Lewinsky and we've all had opinions or jokes or

(11:48):
twenty years of Monica Lewinsky, and we're not gonna you will.
I was, you will change if you had any negative
or old joke, you will change your mind completely. When
she talks about being bullied before social media and now
that she's on Twitter continuously getting bullied twenty one years
later as an adult, when she's you know, it's an

(12:09):
unbelievably powerful video on how to handle the bullying and
the social media attacks because she handles it with a
grace that I don't have. Um No, really, it's definitely
worth watching. It's an empowerment thing. It's about slut shaming,
it's a she's really She talks about going to a
halloween contest a friend's house for Halloween and they all

(12:29):
dressed up like the nineties, and so she's like, well,
that was the period of time where I was sort
of infamous. So but I feel better about myself. I
went wearing a beret and I embraced it and I
went as Lewinsky. It's really good. But she got she
gets hate like we don't get. She really does. And
that too, that was like a completely different time because
now if somebody got, you know, busted for like sucking

(12:50):
off the president or whatever something with a cigar, people
would would, yeah, give a reality show of completely yeah,
she'd be Daniels. I mean, I'm saying it's the name
I just made up, just made But anyway, I'm fine, No,

(13:11):
I'm over it. I swear to god, I'm when it
comes like even me for the when we started the podcast,
there's nothing like when when dealing with political or Monica Lewinsky, whatever,
it's that I just know that there's always there's never
a happy medium, and people are just either weather angry,
or they Gandhi talk yesterday and got taxed. There's nothing

(13:32):
you can say that someone's not gonna. I gave condolences
for fifty people being shot and I got attacked. That's wrong.
That's ridiculous that I commented on a football trade and
somebody said, you're a fucking moron. You don't know ship,
go back to your stupid job. Whatever. It is like,
you can't even do like sports supposed to be about, Like, oh,

(13:53):
you don't like that player. I like that player, you
don't like that you like the trade, Let's talk it
out like you're an ignorant funk face. You don't know
anything about Antonio broke. That's too brown. Problem nowadays is
that nobody can talk about It's like you, nobody lets
you have an opinion. It was rice when I like
this person, you like that person, and we can discuss
why the pros and cons in a nice conversation and

(14:14):
not screaming each other. Exactly, do a great tea set
and flip the script and only read the positive. I
just negative positive. It's working good. Scary Jones lost seem
to have worked really well. I would like to shout
out all the people, even though I wasn't part of
the pole the Desert Island. Would you like to be
in Desert Island with I was not one of the options.
I got like thirty people who selected garage. I would

(14:40):
have won that ship. I'm my Twitter. I'm gonna find
some good stuff. You have the time, I probably don't
have the sorrow. We can borrow everyone with the nice stuff.
I'm gonna make a fake fifteen minute morning show off
