Speaker 1 (00:02):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast,
Elvis to Represents Minute Morning showy, welcome, welcome. Hi. That's
two days in a row. You didn't say anything, you're coming,
you do. I want someone else to take the lead

(00:23):
that don't stand by the gold mic. Sorry, it's my position. Hi, Gandhi,
Gandhi's here. Hello, I'm scary David Brodie, Garrett d Morning.
They n here, I said, Nate kind of swallow like
Gandy's back. Yay, I miss you guys. Hey, you were

(00:44):
in Elvis's house. I was crazy, is it how many?
It's like the most Instagram norble house on the planet.
But I would never party there. I didn't drink all
weekend because I was like, if I knocked something over,
game over, you go through the medicine cabinets. No, I
didn't do any of that at because you have an
in ground pool on the side of a mountain. Pretty much,
it's got an infinity pool. Damn it off into the woods.

(01:07):
It's beautiful, really, it's so pretty. I thought you was
at a hotel. I was like, oh wow, what hotels?
Oh shit? How far away from his bedroom was your
bedroom or was it right next door? Completely opposite side
the property. I had to hop in an air of
bus my bedrooms in the Goofy area. And isn't a

(01:27):
huge house. It's because we've been We were in the
last one and that one was massive, so this, I
think this one is bigger. But yeah, it's strategically planned
like you could he could have. I mean there were
five of us staying there and you would never have
known the other people. You know, because I loved when
I was a kid, I loved looking at home plans
and all the unique things that these big houses had,

(01:49):
because growing up we had a three bedroom, one bath house.
So I would see something like a library or a
study on the floor plan and I would get excited.
Does he have a bunker that would like what fancy thing?
Asked him? Yeah, Um, he has wine seller. Definitely a
wine seller. Um. The entire thing is rigged up so
he can like set all the lights and alarms whatever

(02:10):
from his phone. His his floors are heated, because I
walked in and was likeming themselves with the sun. I am.
I have heated floors in my bathroom. But that's that's
all we can know, the entire floors. I'm doing something wrong, Yeah,
in your apartment. You're lucky, though, you've got fungus on

(02:31):
your floors. Un pointed that out. Hey man, you really
need to have somebody scraping between your tiles. You fungus
in your tile? You know, it's like most How are
you going to compare fungus to something else? Right now?
Thought that Elvis had milded, but it was actually caviar
on the floor. Yeah, it was like slightly rusted gold. No,

(02:56):
it's a beautiful house. I can't wait for you guys
to go. Did you talk about getting pulled over? Oh? No,
I didn't. We got pulled over on the way to
the airport. Done it. I was with our friend Dennis
a Lydia. Yeah, and he was going seventy seven and
a fifty five. We got pulled over, and their troopers
over there, very efficient. The guy just walked over and said,
you're going seventy seven and fifty five. Would you like
a ticket that you can just pay for or do

(03:17):
you want to go to court? Wow, they don't even
give you the option anymore. He was like, that's that
never works. How much do you screen profiling? How much
you out? That's not bad York City? You have the
guy cut us a break. He said we were over,
but he just gave us the ten miles over instead
of however many over you get points on your insurance.

(03:40):
I wasn't driving. I don't know what happened here, hoping
to get a hundred dollar bill and keep it change.
But Gandhi did check off the Instagram bucket list though,
of getting a picture through the rear view mirror of
the cop behind her and saying I just got pulled over.
Oh I've done that many times, many many times, but
I missed you guys. It was fun. He had a
good time. Did you have the quintessential question? Like do

(04:02):
you know why I pulled you over? Like every movie,
every cop does that. Not a movie, it's real life.
This cop was like if you could design a cop
and cut it out of paper, that's exactly what he
looked like. Was like those South Park cops, really dark glasses,
the hat, Stanley cup. What is what is their goal?
When they ask you do you know I pulled you over?
Somebody actually gotta buckle and say, oh god, I got

(04:24):
a dead body in the trunk, because most of the
time you go, I don't, I don't, I don't know
what I did wrong. I think you're supposed by you
should know this. I think he's supposed to plead ignorance,
Like I don't know what I did wrong, officer, Um,
that's what I do. But then they call bullshit on
you and double your ticket. But I don't know what
I did wrong. Most of the time, I'm like, like what,

(04:45):
I really don't know? There, I generally don't know what
I'm speeding. Like if I go, I don't like deliberately speeds.
So if I'm over, it's because I just lost track,
of which You've got a great excuse. But I got
my whole thing down. Let's hear, all right that we
get some sirens or something over the great teas driving

(05:06):
all right, make some car noise. First of all, I
give you a little look in the in the rear view,
and I go, I got you, like, I got you like, wait,
you have a gun in your Okay, So okay, I

(05:27):
pull over over, and then he comes over, right, comes over.
And then in my glove compartment, I already have all
my stuff already ready to go. Then there, I already
have my pb A card. I already have everything all
set license and registration. Please, no, you have to say,
do you know why pulled you over? No? No, First
I say license and registration and I go, yes, I

(05:48):
go here you go, you know I pulled you over,
and I do this. I go, Okay, First of all,
that is nasty. Don't be nasty with me, officer. I
swear I'm not trying to beat. Don't, don't want to
don't to be honest, officer, I know exactly what happened.
I was going too fast. I didn't mean it. Um
Basically what happened was have you ever had this problem? Like?

(06:11):
My boss seriously called me and I wanted to yell
at him and I couldn't, so I got angry. Well,
my it's I took it off to get the you know,
license and registration and uh so anyway, and then he
opens it up right and he's gonna look at it.
And then he goes, uh, you know, a PB a car.
Hey look at me when you're talking. Oh yeah, well
I try not if you don't, you give him a
somber loof you look the other way, you know. And

(06:32):
then I go, yeah, so, I you know I was speeding,
but wait, do I smell marijuana? Well? That was that
was my friend that was my friend. But then he says,
and then I'll say, you know where you get the
pb A card from? And then I go, always go,
always go listen. I don't know if you know, if
you're familiar, I'm Greg teth Power, please step out of

(06:54):
the vie, but I don't want to go away. I'm
Greg t from the Elvis dram Morning Show. And uh,
would Christine nag please step out of a lot of
charity work with the police department and a lot of
softball games raising money for children. That's why up backup
called them back up. The Chief of police gave me
this card and side I would have taken you like

(07:15):
a hundred times, stop with the bs, like I don't
just have a ticket because I was I always say.
The chief gave this and he said, if ever you're trouble,
and I don't know if this is trouble, but I
figured i'd give it to you now. And here's the thing.
So great, Tea and I both you're very lucky enough
to get a pb A card. Can you explain that too?

(07:35):
Because people as a New York thing that New Jersey.
To we get New York New Jersey, it's association. It
shows you have a friend or your associate with someone
in the correct So a police officer kindly gave great
tea and I won. One time a few years ago.

(07:55):
They called to get out of jail free card. But
it's not just to get out of jail free card.
This one was specific. It was it was embroidered with
the guy's name on it. It was old. Card had
engraved stop being a dick for a second. Al right,
Gregg T gets pulled over. The cop goes, how do
you know this guy? What's his name? Greg T forgot
to look at the guy's name. Who looks at that

(08:17):
stuff and say thank you when you're getting it, that's all.
So the guy asked, how do you know this guy?
He's my cousin and goes, well, what's your cousin's name?
And I didn't know. He didn't know. I said it
was early in the morning. I couldn't think write. And
he goes, well, I have all day, I'll just stay
here at so you had no idea whose card it
was and he says he it says right here, family member,

(08:38):
And I go, yeah, I know, and he goes, I'm like,
you know, I'm really flustered, right, now I can't think,
and he was will relax. He goes, you know, you know,
don't be flustered. What's the guy's name? And I'm like
the card with his name right in front of him.
He goes, the first name is Italian and I go,
I don't Anthony, Anthony, did the guy end up giving
you the ticket? And he goes he's like, first name

(08:58):
is Gino and I go, I go and he goes
what's his last name? And I go um, and he's like,
come on, He's like your family and officer, and then
he goes, hold on and he went to the car,
got a ticket, came back and he goes, here you go,
and he's like, and when you call your body, that's
you know, part of your family. You tell him to
give me a call and then I'll take care of it.
I ended up going to court and getting tickets and

(09:20):
getting points and odd stuff I did because it's off topic.
So what Once I got pulled over over here and
got a ticket and the lady realized who I was.
I never said I was. She realized it, and she said,
do me a favor. She's like, she'll up the court
and I'll get you off like okay, so when we

(09:40):
get you know, so when we got to court, she said,
she came over with me before and she was listening
to me. This is exactly what you do, and she
told me exactly what to do, what to say, what
not to say. She said, this is what I'm going
to say when we go in there. Don't say anything more,
don't say anything less, and don't say it. Tell anyone
that I brought you here. These people listening to this podcast,

(10:01):
No nobody. I don't know who she's talking we're talking about.
You have no idea talking about a friends. So we
went inside. I did exactly what she said, and she said,
just basically, don't say anything. You don't remember anything about it.
You didn't really know what happened. You don't remember the day.
And she made she didn't have all the information she needed,
basically got me off the ticket. It's nice, totally hooked

(10:25):
it up. So I thought it. I thought a ticket
one time and I go to court because I figured, Okay,
maybe the cop won't show up, which in that case
they throw the case out. They sometimes they don't have
multiple chances. They come back and they have to come
back another time. Come back showed up. Why that's not fair.
So I'm there and the cop shows up. I really

(10:45):
don't want to have to do this, but you know what,
I'm here, I'll go through with it. And so I
sit down and I'm thinking, Okay, this cop is going
to say, yeah, he was speeding, and you know on
this date at this time. He pulls out like records
and like certifications and like my it, our gun was
tested at four or four pm on July. You can say,

(11:05):
did you recollaborate your gun that morning, and then you
can get them that way, And then that's why he said, yes,
I I checked my gun and make sure. Oh he
had like he here Exhibit A, your honor, the certification
from and then you guys, exhibit BE the diagram. And
I'm sitting there. I got nothing and I got no paper.
I don't even have any Yeah, so then you know,

(11:27):
you guys, and that's my case, your honor, And the
judge turns to me and goes, okay, what would you
like to say. I go, I got nothing, I'm dead
to rights. I plead mercy and it was illegal. At
the time that I was in court, it was weird.
I was up for a movie that was a moving

(11:47):
violation and I had to go to court, and then
everyone was going up into in front of the judge.
And while I'm sitting on the bench, some rando comes
next to me like he's going up the aisle and
he goes, hey man, he goes, we could settle this
right here. You don't even have to go take the stand,
you don't have to do any of this. Um, we'll
take all the points of your license. Pay this fee
right now. I did the same thing and they literally

(12:08):
right yeah, they do the fee and they take away
all the points and I walked out scott free. But
then well, this way, I have no points on my launch.
They did that to me in the Bronx. They were
walking up and down and saying is that legal court
number number? Okay, fifteen hundred bucks double feet, know that
and then you can go. It was double amount of

(12:32):
the ticket. Saves them time in the court system, and
also it saves you. And I'd rather pay the extra
money that have. It's like the church basket going around
like like I've been in the Scary God, I've been
in the car when Scary Jones has been pulled over
and he sings like a fairy uh, like his text

(12:55):
no no, no, and he's he's from a certain show.
I was like, no, why do you pull from the
Elvis Durant. It's the only thing that works. I just
feel like that such a risky thing to do, because
if you have to tell someone who you are, like,
you've already say it in a mean way. He very

(13:17):
a couple of p PA cards, a couple of a
couple of Benjamin did and I say, hey, look bad.
And they always wonder what the hell you have more
than one pp a card? And and they immediately, you know, think,
oh my god, who is this guy person? I do
a lot of charity for a lot of you know
places I work. I'm actually on my way to an

(13:38):
event right now. I worked for the Elvis duran Morning show.
You right, and they gave you a tool tickets for
that one. If I was a cop and someone tried
to do that, I'd be like, oh cool, I'm gonna
write you up for every I know he's lying. I
don't care if he's lying, not a big time. Here
we go in your face. Well, Garrett, what happened he got?

(13:59):
Did you get the get from making the Left? Yeah?
It was the oh Man the light was changing and
I had to make an a legal turn or else.
All these oncoming cars we're just gonna take me out,
and I'm scared. I'm a shitty driver. Yeah. Yeah, if
you didn't get the ticket, then you didn't get the ticket.
Have you ever gotten out of an accident by working
for the show. I hope I hit so I have.

(14:21):
I I didn't hit them hard, thank goodness. But we
pulled all over blah blah blah. He said, aren't you
Danielle from Elviston And I said yes, And he said, hey,
don't worry about it, have a good day, because he
listened to the show. But I swear I didn't know.
You never say it's so good for you. I once
used an imaginary car to get out of getting a ticket.
So I was going too fast on the Parkway and

(14:43):
I got pulled over. Obviously, why are you speeding? I go.
Didn't you see that black suv? He was up follow
me and like trying to run me off the road.
I was afraid for my life. No, I didn't see
it go. Yeah, you should report it was Danielle. Fifteen
