Speaker 1 (00:00):
Have a podcast, and don't we hit the button for
what would you talk about on your on your podcast?
All right, ladies and channel man, No, no, I was

(00:23):
gonna say, before you did what you're about to do.
I was about to give people warning of what was
about to happen, what's about to happen to like what
you already did. So I can't give a warning to one. Stop.
Oh god, so loud? Yes, alright, alright, so great Tea
was literally sleeping as a five minutes ago. I was
on top of his desk. It's funny, I was. I

(00:45):
took sleeping here at work to an all new level.
Sleeping on your desk at work. I was with you
six minutes ago. Six I know I could fall. We
were sitting in the studio six minutes ago, obviously sleep deprived,
and you were passed out snoring. Dude, I'm busy. I
got things going on in my life. How busy are
you that you fall asleep that easily. I'm all over
the place. Everybody needs me, need me for podcast, and

(01:06):
need me for hosting events. Now we got Nate here.
Nate needs something, Nate, what do you need? What are
you talking about? Everybody needs something? He was sleeping on
top of his heart. So, yeah, when I woke you up,
right when you woke him up, he was with me
no more than three to four minutes prior to that. I'
he was in my studio. He goes, I'll be right back,
and then he went to sleep. Yeah, it's the sequel

(01:27):
I'm taking. It's not a bad thing, it's you know,
it's exhausted exactly. This has been a long week already,
and I got more to do. I don't know how
I'm getting through. He got a big corporate gig tonight.
I know, I gotta get home, take another nap, and
then get up and come back. It's a lot going on. Bro,
Are you sleeping tonight right on my desk like I was,

(01:47):
I'm gonna sleep on my desk. I need a bed here.
They already got me a shower. I can use a bed.
Why don't we get a blow up mattress? No, it's
not always comfortable at home. You want me to bring
it in for you? You know what we should bring it.
I have an next one to you know, but we
need to bring mattresses. You won't get it here today,
get it, but you know what we should bring in
some mattresses here for everybody we need that. It's a

(02:08):
great idea. I mean I don't trust it though, because
we have a we have a big like uh what
they call it a love sack in the other studio
that's been here for five years. You know how many
times people have watched that? Yeah? No, never, but the
love sack, though, it sinks your body in and then
it makes you like warm, and I don't like to
sleep when I'm more like to see what I'm cold. Yeah,
you're listen to the truth. They told here at the

(02:30):
radio station. We have nowhere to sleep. Nobody's giving us
hotel rooms, and you gotta sleep in your office upstairs.
I have a big you do. It's not that comfortable,
but if you do need a place to sleep, I'll
leave you. See, I'll do that because I was thinking
about the green room. But in the green room it's
too small and there's no window in there. So it's

(02:50):
just like you need a window. Well, it's hot, there's
no air fly gives you're sleeping you but do you
wake up the next morning congested if there's no airflones
You're when did you become a scientist? That's what happens
when you have no air you wake up, it's all
like you're like congested, your eyes are puffing. The next morning.
You need some air flow in order for that not
to happen. Were like the Mariah carry is sleeping. Well, listen,

(03:13):
you know, I think we can mix it up, you know,
because the music is still playing. You can, like, guys,
like the music goes off, Yes it does. I can
think it goes for fifteen minute. A little behind the
scenes in radio is it's it's called the Doughnuts. So
it starts off with the production lowers down and and
we have in fifteen minutes and then it comes back
right before the podcast. Find these these podcasts to be

(03:35):
so annoying, and you know why annoying because you can't
play There's all these rules, like rule number one one
of the biggest rules is that you cannot play music
on a podcast. Yeah, just like if you post a
video on YouTube of you singing a certain song with
your girls in the car, because the record labels get involved,
like you didn't pay for that, So you can't play
a song on your podcast. Blah blah blah. Like I mean,

(03:55):
I'm staring right now at a computer yawn bombing. You
know yesterday that was trending. Yea, that is not trending,
and your standards for your standards for trending are very low. Well,
look going back to all the stuff, like just music
on the screen in front of me, and like I
totally want to like press a button places of his

(04:16):
music and the moment I play it with the paid
for it. You you you have a d D though
you need just one thing in front of you. That's
the problem with you sitting where you're sitting. You have
too many options at you. What I think is I
find it difficult. I find it hard to believe that
people could sit through a podcast and not hear any
like music or sound effects or something that just like

(04:38):
takes them more in depth into the podcast effects. I know,
it's not the same reason to play it. So Jake
has two things. First, he has to go to the bathroom,
h which which you can go when we could time
me and make it a game. Uh. Second, what's the
other thing you wanted to bring to the table. Okay,
so here's this interesting situation. I'm trying to network. Well,

(04:59):
I'll play I'm not going to play music. I'm playing
music in the background, Like it's like a sound effect.
Is that legal? Yeah, that's a sound effect. While you're
gonna tell us a story. Are you gonna tell a story? Yeah? Okay,
so you're gonna tell storytime with Storytime with Jake and
here's a sound effect. Okay. So in our world, networking
is so important. Yes, I'm trying to network with this
guy who works for a company, but I know the

(05:21):
guy tell us because my mom works for his dad.
So I feel so awkward reaching out to him, being like, hey,
my mom gave you gave me your contact info. Yes,
isn't that weird. It's a little weird because that's like
when you're when you're applying for an internship and some
people have their moms send things or have their parents.

(05:42):
I'm like, no, I would never give you that internship exactly.
You don't. Hey, my mom told me I should call
you to your mom. You just jump into it, like, hey,
you know, I know we have, you know, a connection here,
and I just wanted to reach out and like, you
don't have to use your mom and the connection. The
connection is going to be your mom, right, There's no
way around this. Want Okay, so miss your connection and
then miss on the opportunity and sit here and make

(06:04):
pennies on the dollar. No, but I think that I'm
a millionaire. But I get what you're saying. What he's
saying is he rather be like man to man. He
doesn't want to say like, my mom told me that
I should touch with you. Okay, so you're gonna come
face to face with him. Hey, by the way, you
know my mom. You're still going to use your mom
as a as a baseline no matter what. But just
opening with that is so it's opening with it face

(06:25):
to face or opening it in an email face to face.
So you are more brave to go to a guy
and go, hey, you know my mom, as opposed to
typing in an email and being scared to send the email.
But yet you have the confidence to do because if
I send, if I get an email from somebody saying, hey,
my mom knows you, I'm gonna be like right, yes,
and Parson, I'm like, hey, it's awkward. You know my

(06:47):
mom actually works for your dad, Like I didn't realize
that we had this connection in person would be so
much less awkward. That's right, because you can make it
less awkward in person. But over an email. They read
it as they want. What does this person do? Works
for some production company? Okay they do like the company, No, no, no,
they do like the video production for all the like

(07:07):
the I Hearty Music Awards. Right, they do that, all right.
So so I'm like trying to learn that side of
the business as well. Well, let's play it out. What's
this guy's name? Uh? I don't Robert something? All right?
So Robert Robert? Right now, Robert, thank you for taking
my call. So it's only sound effect that so, so hi, Robert.

(07:31):
Let's I would like to talk to you. You'll be Robert.
Okay a wait, so do you want a kid? That's
a sound effect? That's a song? That sound Jake, that's
a song. And now we don't play songs on the podcast,
really play sound effects. Jake, sleep deprived, great tea is
a little bit annoying. It Okay, I'm sorry, Okay, go
ahead ahead, we're gonna replay this. But the phone rings

(07:52):
rings playing Robert Jake playing himself. Okay, you're ready, I'm Robert. Okay,
hello Robert speaking? Wait, why am I call him? He
doesn't know who I am? What I'm not going to
just call him out of the blue. You're not going
to touch with the guy, so you're gonna have to
email him. So you're not gonna send him any you
don't know, I have to send him if you don't
want to respond. You don't want to send an email,

(08:12):
you don't want to call him. I want to, but
yet you want to come face to face. If you
come face to face with a guy and saying hey,
by the way, you know my mom in that your
opening line, I would consider you a creep. Yeah, you're
totally creep. No exactly, so I haven't sorry, Oh my god,
have to sleep this morning starts. I'm going to sleep
on your desk, Tony Jeames. What are you really going

(08:33):
to sleep on your desk? I am going to sleep
so uncomfortable. You know what the problem is? Your garret?
When I hit this other one, the fifteen minute morning
show time time lapse, it reset again. Like I said,
so you screwed everything. You cannot have too many? Now
what do we do? You have to figure out fifteen minutes?
How am I going to figure that out? I don't know.
You have to restart it? No, you don't, well, how

(08:54):
else would you do? I'm restarting it? Now, what are
we gonna do? All right, so it started all over again. No,
you can't start all overhead, But why think we're about
eight minutes in? We were about that time. This is
a good representation of your life today. What it is
you're all over the miss? What's the word? Um? I
don't know. Look now now we can play the music though.

(09:15):
Oh yeah, what's yawn name? My name is Jane. You
did it on purpose in morning show? You can get
the music back. Oh, fifteen minute morning show. Oh yawn bomb,
yaw bomb, fifteen minute morning show. I can't wait till
you get it. I'm gonna be in the same time

(09:35):
you are. This is fun, Jake, Who are you talking to?
Jake's talking about He's trying to get in here yet
somebody coming out here? Okay, mo Bounce is here and
Mo Bounce want to use the studio? Yo? Mo bounce?
Mo alright? Bound, keep on talking? Why I try to
figure out how much time we have? No? Come on now?
Why is already walking past? Hello? There's your other friend. Look, look,

(09:59):
Jake looks friend Deanna the friend. She loves hang out here,
loves to come happening. That's the nice thing about being
in the hang out. Dianna loves to come up here
and hang out. She cannot resist herself. She did you
coming up to hang out here if you were somebody else?
Oh my god, she can. She just loves you. You're

(10:20):
just such a fun human. Yeah right, She's like, Wow,
I need my daily dose of Greg t today. Here's
the thing about this place before, there's a thing about
this place. Four minutes the only time and out. So
if I have a minute and a half left, so
I goes to a one right, and then if I
have is that what you're saying to me? You're you're

(10:43):
the numbers guy. You're you are the rain man of numbers.
I'm telling you you've got now. You probably have three minutes. Okay,
ready from now now it's three minutes. Okay, So I'm
watching the clock. I gotta now I know exactly how
much time for three minutes and then I'll reset the
sound and I'll bring it back up and they believe
it though I messed it up. I have as a
different sound at the end. Can you go and order Jake?

(11:03):
What's your order? Jake? This is a podcast. Okay, people
are listening, and you cannot just remember you were saying.
Now you're talking about time. What are we saying? You know, Garrett,
these kids today, they millennials, Jake, you're all we we
now we've already used seconds because they're wasting my time.

(11:26):
So I wanted to say to people, is that people
don't know, is that we have. We have certain people
that were interns here, right, and then they their internship
is over and they're supposed to go, like leave, leave, leave,
And there's still some interns that love to come back
and hang out. They want to come back here and
hang out, but they work here. Yeah, she works here now, right,
but now she can't stay in her own department. She

(11:48):
likes to come up here and be a part of
everything up here all the time. So she's here all
the time. Maybe if you weren't so fun, people wouldn't
come up here. I was, and Diamond, Diamond now our
new phone producer. She has walked past the window now
like six times. Why is she walking past the window
six times? She wants to be a part of this.
This is the problem about city. Want of this cake,

(12:08):
A piece of this cake, Like right now, I would
want to play cake by the ocean, play this cake
by the ocean sound effect. I can't stop the time.
What if you just call it a sound effect? That's
what I would do. I would call him a sound effect.
But it's not a sound effect. Though. You're gonna get
seating and like, no, I swear it sound effect. I
will say something. Your your bob trending. All right, listen

(12:32):
real quick. I do want to show you one thing
what I think we can do to get around it right,
to get around the music's aspect of things. This is
I'm telling you this really works. You're gonna sing it. No,
I'm not gonna sing it, You're gonna play You're playing
it off the phone doesn't make it. No, no, no,
let's stop with that. Was that? That was oh, yesterday's
podcast about Garrett sant I had a hangover and I didn't,

(12:53):
but I wanted to show you hold on a second, wait, wait, wait,
this is for real. That is how you're gonna get
around it. As soon as I find it, I'm gonna
call it up and then you're gonna be like, oh
my god, he's right. Okay. So let's say we want
to play a song right now, right right? Okay? So
I found music that nobody is ever gonna hear or
know about, and nobody's ever going to report us if
you play foreign music with foreign voice like music. Yeah,

(13:17):
but it's like on YouTube, they're never gonna know. So
this song is called there's like this is called Buba.
It's an Italian song called Bubap. Listen. This is great
but still music, yes, still owned. There's no record label
here United States. It's gonna tell us no, wee in
trouble but Italy. That's why they have robots that catch

(13:40):
your stuff. It just happened. You're playing it out of
the the I Heart app. I'm remixing it. There's no
bad No, it's Italian because you speak Italians. No, but
it sounds good. And how much time we have? Look, oh,
it's worth about that time. We are about that time.

(14:01):
I'm not kidding. Were podcast no lie, Noah, this is
at the time where the music was good. Come back
up and then we would let us know that it's
about over. Okay, bye, I'm gonna I'm doing it. That's
exactly what I'm doing right now. Listen. I hope that
you ladies and gentlemen, h and boys and girls that
are listening right now. I hope that you really enjoyed
this fought in this podcast and all this fodder that
we had tons o see the music is coming on,

(14:24):
see lots of fodder, not farder fadder. Thanks for great
advice today and then help me to batch it so.
Thank you listening to the teammate of Morning show. But
how do we get to the part where it's out
you just let it go? No, you know, figure it out.
I can't get to that part, slopp Okay, this has

(14:45):
been a morn to shop. Great tea. That's Garrett's Jake Peace.
We out we out, we out low bounce need the studio,
We out we out. There's our friends in the other studio. Okay,
