Speaker 1 (00:02):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
Firms Represents Morning Show. Here we go around the long table.
We've got Gandhi wearing her aviator glasses. They met your jacket,
(00:23):
and also they're scouting, and there's Brody, and there's uh,
the one and only Garrett, keep your special title, Garrett,
good American. I can remember what I call you, Good American? Garrett. Here,
I'm here. Where's Daniel He's on our way in? All right,
Daniels on our way in. I think my fiance Alex
should be joining us in a moment, which is very
appropriate for the conversation we're about to have. Where do
(00:44):
you draw the line when it comes to which pictures
you post on on on on social Now, this this
comes from a conversation we had this morning of Monday
morning on our show, the Big Show on the radio.
And uh because and Alex is a perfect person to ask,
because he'll put a picture of him with Satan. He
doesn't care, he doesn't care, He just wants. He just
(01:05):
wants to say, hey, I met Satan. Don't always agree
with him, right, but it's okay. Satan would be a
get Yeah, I'm more about the celebrity of the person.
I'm more about. You know, I don't care about much.
You don't care about why they became a celebrity. Yeah,
I drew. I draw a line in the sand for
if you've killed somebody, I'm not I don't want to
(01:27):
pose with a murderer. But short of that, I personally
think that have an accused murderer. How about someone like
molested someone? You're good if if Kelly the list is growing, Okay,
R Kelly, wanta take a picture of R Kelly? Put
it up? No, because of what he did, he had
he was he's convicted. Now well he's no, I'm sorry, No,
(01:51):
he's he's charging. Here's some question will behavior there. Gandhi
asked about what about the guy from the fire festival.
You took a picture with him, but you failed to
post it when it came around. So she thinks that
I should go back in my archives and post the
picture with the fire festival guy who's in jail exactly.
I would probably consider that. But I think you may
(02:11):
have missed the boat because it was really hot when
those two documentaries first dropped and out a little bit later.
But I was like, man, that's get all gets the
fire festival guys. All right, well, so Alex is here,
high Alex. You here's just in. Sorry to body. He
just walked in the door. I don't know if I
want to be in hit smells we get, you know,
as you know, there's a creek bed under our building
and it smells like it smells like like fecal matter.
(02:35):
By the way, speaking of fecal matter, may I bring
up a point. There was a great article in New
York Times this weekend. There's a controversy going on with
drug companies whether or not they should be able to
market this pill. The pill actually contains healthy fecal matter,
a fecal matter from a healthy human being. And you
and people who have trouble with all those the gut
(02:56):
of the flora flora. People may be they've taken too
many antibiotics or whatever. They can't get that floora going
in their gut. They take these pills and it's it's
been proven healthy fecal fecal matter from a healthy person
can't help you grow that. So the debate is on
is this a medication or like a transplant, like a
blood transfusion kind of thing. That's goot, think about it.
(03:17):
Smells awful, and it does feel like shit. It didn't
smell like a minute ago, Alex. All right, so remember Okay,
over the weekend, Gandhi posted a photo of her with
Bernie Sanders. Okay, Okay, this is great, Alex. Here's here's
the point. You're obviously you're not a Bernie Sanders fan. Okay,
(03:40):
but just for the get of it, just the fact
that Bernie Sanders is celebrity, you would post a picture
with him. Of course I would, even though I'm not
a fan of his. But but Alex, which I wouldn't
say anything negative to you, and you didn't know. You
aren't the person that posted fuck you Gandhi, because somebody did. Yeah,
(04:00):
I said, Gandhi's venom and Okay, so the question is
where do you draw the line? Scary says he will
not he will not post photos with him posing with
murderers and molesters, molesters, No good. What did you say
was a get oh? Like? For instance, Toronto mayor Rob Ford,
(04:21):
the crackhead guy that was Okay, a week a week later,
while that was happening, that story, I saw him on
a street in Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles and I
stopped him like mayor rob Ford. He goes, hey, I'm like,
would you take a picture with me? He goes sure,
And I posted it right up on Instagram despite the
terrible things and the allegations surrounding him. I posted up
(04:44):
right away and were entertained. And that was again, well
you know what that reminds me. My mom used to
watch the Jodi Arias uh trial. Yes, and my mom
loved to talk about remind everyone she yes, tell the
story real quick. Jody Arias kill old her boyfriend in
a very brutal, disgusting way, um all over supposedly jealousy,
(05:06):
but the pictures that came out during the trial, it
was a very salicious exactly. And the lady she stamped
him like a hundred times. Yeah, no, I know that,
And so my mom would watch it. So for Christmas,
when you I purchased one of her paintings that she
made in prison. I bought it and we still have.
I think it was would you take a picture with
(05:28):
jodiarius Let's show your mom. Well, would your mom post
for a picture? Um? Probably not. Well, my mom doesn't
have social media, so maybe she would post for a picture.
I don't know. Danielle just walked in them. Okay, So
where do you draw the line? You would you or
would you not post a picture of you? And uh,
let's say Jeffrey Dahmer, the guy who put Lowatian children
(05:52):
into acid and would eat them. Okay, so scary scary
has a line. The the crackhead Canadian mayor remember him
Rob Floyd? He posted that I would not. Alex just
admitted that he bought Jodi Arisses arias is painting she
(06:13):
made in prison, the woman who brutally murdered her boyfriend.
And it was on the other side of the sheet.
It was like her court papers and it had a
name and court document. Okay, so where do you where
do you draw the be honest go around the room?
Who here would take a picture with O? J. Simpson?
Be honest? I was thinking I would not. I would
take a picture as because he was a football player,
(06:33):
not because you know. But I'm saying, would you scary
murdered somebody? But he's O. J. Simpson? No? Plegedly too
much controvers You would would you take a picture with Ojen?
Would not? I would not, Alex, I would not. He
he wasn't a gun Daniel, would you take a picture
(06:56):
with Oja? What about you? Garrett? No, I wouldn't. I
had friends that actually did on the beach during vacation.
They took a photo, made it into a Christmas card,
and the Christmas card said, hope you have a killer Christmas.
Do a super zoom with the dramatic don't don't if
(07:17):
I saw him but not get in the picture. Well,
so it's really funny what motivates us to or refused
to take a photo of someone, and then beyond that,
what motivates is to or not to post it on
social media. To me, it's very shallow. It's about the likes.
Do it for the Graham every time. If I could
stand between President Trump and and Kim Jong un together
and I was in the or in the oval office
(07:38):
a picture in the I would absolutely not I would
post it. I would push you out of the picture,
and I would get the middle. Because I'm telling you
right now, whether you like Kim Jong or President Trump
doesn't matter. What's going on right now is historical stuff.
Kim Chung has killed people, yes he has. Here's the line. Alright, So, Gandy,
(08:00):
so you you took that picture with Bernie Sanders. Uh,
but you, but you admitted you wouldn't you would not
vote for him, right, I wouldn't vote for Bernie You're posting.
Had nothing to do with you asking people to vote
for him. It was it was Bernie Sanders in the
in the in the building you want to take a
picture with. Yeah. I find him to be a fascinating man.
I think he did some great stuff like activists. He
was a social activist in the seventies, and he just
(08:22):
seems like a wonderful person. I see people today cannot
look past that, and they think you're an awful human being.
F you, Gandhi, You're spewing hatred. It's so so stupid. Well,
the thing is, I am an awful human being. But
that's not what does it. I've taken pictures with celebrities,
singers and people that I don't like their music, and
I've said, oh my god, I can I get a
picture on the big but I don't. And I've taken
(08:44):
pictures with people on both sides of the political spectrum.
Some people I absolutely can't stand. Someone that's so bad.
I told Elvis and he's like, oh my god. And
I didn't post it. I posted on my Facebook page
where my family and friends can give an opinion, but
I would never put it in public. But you did it, Oh,
I did it. Yeah, But it's okay when i'm what
I'm saying here, and I mean, short of murdering and
you know Hana's crimes, I mean, you can take a
(09:06):
picture with anyone you want. My point is it does
an endorsement of the person in the picture. It doesn't
mean we have to hate you because you took a
picture with someone. But why would you take a picture
with the person if they were that heinous? Um? I
had a heated debate with them. I thought it was
fun and then because of the the irony of it,
I knew my family would go, holy crap, you took
a picture with that was I can't remember. I don't
want it because it's for this one. It's someone on
(09:30):
very very very very political Danielle's this one, you know.
But I took a picture with Chris Brown and they're
you know, people have differing opinions of him for things
that he's done in his past. And I posted it
and I got hate. It was it why one hun
jingle Ball and it was why one logo was there
and we were in a public place, and I posted
it on for some reason on his birthday. I wasn't
(09:52):
was it after it was after? Wouldn't I wouldn't. I
would never do that. I took a picture with Buddy,
who was fine at the time, but I got heat
for it because it was still up. I took a
picture with Jared from Subway. I took a picture in
his big fat guy pants right when he was up here.
And then when the scandal broke, people were like, yeah,
(10:12):
take the picture down, but it's still a funny picture.
I'm not endorsing what he did, but am I required
to take the picture down just because he went sideways
or was convicted of something after I took I didn't
know when I took the picture. I would never have
taken the picture with him. Had I known, I really
would have gotten his pants, I would have I would
have taken the picture down. I think I put I'm
not sure if I posted the picture of him, but
(10:33):
I remember taking a picture in his pants partnering big Subway.
I have some old Chris Brown on my page from
a while ago. Yeah, but I don't think I'm gonna
take it down. Well. Also, this brings us to what's
going on right now. I mean last night and tonight's
part two on HBO Leaving Neverland. We watched a part
(10:55):
one last night and it was intense. It was intense
and disturbing. So Michael Jackson argued, really one of the
best artists of all time, with the most incredible songs
he's released, do you still embrace those songs the same?
If you if you believe in what these accusers are saying,
and so it's just you know. And then if you
do say I still like Michael Jackson's music, don't care
for what he's being accused of doing. Are you now
(11:17):
a bad person? It says, where do you draw that line?
And that's the I think that's the hardest part of it.
After Elvis, after watching that documentary like last night, like
you guys did, Michael Jackson, music is dead to me? Well,
and you're and also two children, yes, two children, And
I told you this earlier. I think I would have
had a out of kind of stayed in the middle
(11:38):
if I didn't have two children, But now that I
have two children, for me personally, it kind of made
me go one way. And that way is the fact
that These guys are not out to collect money, They're
not out to to to gain fame from it. The
fact that they're sitting down and being able to tell
their story for the first time ever and someone's actually
listening and believing uh it to them, it's it was all. Look,
(12:01):
I don't have kids. I wish naser that's all I have.
But I'm telling you right now, after watching that last night,
I was I don't know what I'm gonna do that,
but he is the other thing. Like, I get it,
and I know it was wrong what he did, But
I think the parents are to blame a lot too,
because you don't let your child sleep over Michael Jackson's house.
I just don't understand. I don't have to worry about
listening to their music though, you know what I'm saying,
(12:23):
What doesn't change the meaning of man in the mirror
or we are the world. I mean, he did so much.
I'm not what he did is terrible if he did it,
but some of his songs are culturally important, his lyrics
are important, and so yeah, maybe I won't listen to
Beat It again, but he has powerful music that can
still do good in the world regardless of what he
(12:44):
did because he had emotional problems. Well, that's where I'm
totally in conflict. I was gonna say, you know, um,
if he did do it, it's totally wrong, disgusting everything.
But the fact that they're bringing it up now and
he's not he had to defend himself and give his
side of your story, that's well, that's another that's another
part of the story. It's like, well, you know, he's
(13:06):
gone and people could fabricate all this stuff and he's
not here to defend himself. We just don't know. But
didn't they bring there was an interview with him years ago.
I mean, this has been going on for thirty years
with him. It's not like that's a lot of these
people came forward then and are being interviewed now because
they came forward. He did defend himself. He was acquitted
of a lot of it, and not with these two
cases though, right there was some payments to some people
(13:27):
and you can you know, but I mean, look, R.
Kelly is here to defend himself and we don't believe him.
So the fact that Michael's not here to I don't
know if that changes it. They still wore or were
not molested what would Michael say if he was here,
I didn't do it that, Okay, Now you stuf have
to make your opinion. So I don't know. I don't
know where to stand. Well, what if in the scenari
in these cases, And it's different with Michael Jackson because
you're never going to be able at this point to
(13:48):
prove he did it or he didn't do it. But
like with r Kelly, if he gets convicted but the
world still wants his music, can we not listen to
his music? And anybody who downloads or any profits that
happened from it then go to a charity that helps
women of domestic violence or girls who have run away
and needs some type of help. In the perfect world,
that would be that would be a great idea, But
you know who's going to organize that? How do they do?
It's legally, you can't make you look at a song
(14:11):
like I Believe I Can Fly, which is one of
the most incredible songs ever written and recorded, one of
hundreds of thousands of you know, we all love a
lot of music. That's just a very very special song.
So happens it was recorded by a guy who is
very very hated right now, and so what do you do?
What do you do with that song? And that's the
kids movie? Well okay, well it's in space Jam. What
(14:33):
do you do? Do you eliminate from eliminated from Space Jam?
Do you eliminate that song from the world? I don't
know that. I don't have answered. Space Dam two is
coming out. You have to solve this by tomorrow. Podcast
