Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
first morning show. It wasn't so bad. We weren't gone
that long, right, I don't like it. Oh, I'm so tired.
People were so they were complaining, They're like, where's my
fifteen minute morning show? I need my fix? So you know,

(00:25):
before we you know, get started, talk about vacation. We've
been doing this for about three years. This is almost
our third anniversary on the fifteen Minute Morning she passed
I think the twenty second. Yes, somebody and I wished
this a happy anniversary. And we've done like four hundred episodes.
This past Friday would have been out third Danielle, she
just walked in. We're celebrated. We just missed our third

(00:46):
year anniversary of the fifteen minute Morning Show. Less Friday's
crap for three years. Yeah. By the way, before you
guys correct me that we didn't do four hundred episodes,
because it's only like, don't text them, don't there's like
three hundred posted. We switched systems and in the switch
over two and a half years ago, we lost like
the first hundred, but we really did. They're not on

(01:07):
any they're not listed anywhere, and said Garrett read started
renumbering them. But we did like four hundred right, well
agree on that. Aund three years of doing this so great?
And what if we love the anniversary to everybody? Do
we accomplish anything? No note at all. No, We've just
given up our ten to ten fifteen slots of our life.
It's been fun, though, Are we going away? You know what?

(01:30):
Looking back on the three years, I would say we
have gotten to speak about things that we would never
talk about on the Big Show. Uh. Greg t has
has said some things about his life and his house
and some crazy stuff that stand out in my mind
that we would never have talked at. Deeper here, Yeah,
we go deeper. We go deeper. More importantly, Garrett and

(01:52):
I get to talk, which we don't do on the
Big Show that much. Garrett does sound I say, Hanka
Stoughts Thursday, that's just let you talk a lot because
of this podcast. But this podcast, I think is you
know anyway, I don't think the show maybe I don't

(02:14):
speak as much. Yes you do. You're biting your tongue
on this. I I don't even honestly, you don't even
want to do this. I know that's not true at all.
He loves it. No, I do. I think it's great. Listen.
I think we all have our own ideas and of
things we want to talk about or do or whatever.
I've just learned to It took me a very long
time to recognize that everybody hears a microphone, and everybody

(02:38):
has an opinion, and everybody has a voice, and I
it's good to step back a little bit and then
just speak when spoken to kind of thing, you know,
that's all it's uh am, I right? Should I translate that? Yeah?
You know what, Sometimes I just want to get a
point across, but you guys all have microphones and you
talk over me, and you start yelling and debating and screaming,
and I just want to sit back, not get involved,

(02:58):
and I wait for my opportunity. And that's what I like.
That's that's what he means, like to think that we
all get to speak our minds on this podcast again
and then nobody judges. I'm gonna translate, he said. I guess. Yeah.
What he means is I have been noticing. You know,

(03:19):
I don't know how long it's been, but I haven't
noticed in that I think we do, you know, all
talk once clamor we all do those things, and I
see how Elvis wants us to not do that, So
I let you guys all do that. And I mean
there has been a couple of times where I brought
in the the volume monitor on my on the on
my phone on the app, and I tell you how
high the decibels are getting in here on your phone.

(03:40):
That's a great little app. Yeah, okay, but this isn't
the Elvis three in morning show longer. This is a
different thing. It's a podcast. It's a different vibe. Right. No,
I'm good with that, I really am. Translation. He's not
good with that. Really, it's not about me. It's not
about what I care about translation. It's more about him.
He'd like it to be more about him. And it's
no whatever, this is. Everything's awesome. I think people love

(04:02):
the show. Everything is awesome. Did you guys see the
Lego to movie? Okay, by the way, no, okay, So
last night somebody said something on the oscars and I
said everything. Someone said everything is awesome, and I want
everything is awesome and my middle daughter said, don't sing
that song. I can't believe they're making movies with stuff
man at a Lego, Why are they making some at

(04:22):
a Lego Lego Batman. There's a Batman. We don't need
a Lego Batman. My daughter turned into me. He was
pitching about Lego movies. Let me tell you about the
first moment that hard. No. I know, I know Batman. Okay,
but wait, hold wait, did you just kind of a square? Okay?
I really do want everybody? Did you see part two?

(04:42):
I didn't even see part one? Day movies? I know
that this song everything is awesome from the those movies
play in his van. But Darren, how many did you see?
How many Lego movies you see? I've seen about four
you've seen? Did you see the new one? You saw? It?
Nothing like what you all have kids. I don't know

(05:04):
that you can still go though and enjoy it. You
never you never play a theater. Me and my girlfriend
hanging out at the Lego play Legos as a kid?
What you never played with legos as a kid? I did,
but not gonnat no style Jo. You wouldn't watch the
Lego What was the last movie you went to? I
went to in the theaters? That's what went too? Means,
oh my god, you get you jogging my memory? Was

(05:27):
the last time I went to I went to see
um the Last Star Wars in the movie The Last
Star Wars Solo solo, Yah, know, the one in the seventies.
Al Right, listen, I just want to say for the record, okay,
and I want to ask Danielle about this real So
I went to see Lego two. Okay, I really felt
and Garrett, you're the middle guy here since daniel loved it.

(05:49):
Did like the acting, Dude, it was horrendous. I really,
did you want an Oscar quality? You want to go
the Lego? I thought Lego one was so good, so good,
and I thought the Lego Batman Movie was very funny,
and I was really into it, hysterical. I thought Lego
two was so awful, Like I fell asleep one word.

(06:12):
So it was so awful. It really they were like
pushing it on you to make you love it, and
I just didn't love it. Danielle. A lot of plot holes,
a lot of holes. Come, are you really dissecting the
Lego movie? I was expecting. I thought it was cute
for what it is. I mean, I didn't you surprise
it was? It wasn't nominated. Why, to be honest, I was,

(06:34):
but I thought it finished strong fit. The movie finished strong,
but the beginning was bad. Listen, it wasn't my favorite
of all the My favorite Lego movies have been the Ninjago.
Jagos are hysterical, and it's not just for kids. If
you have kids and you think the Lego movies just
for kids scary, you'd love it. There's so much adult

(06:57):
humor in Lego. It's showing in the Batman Batan. The
Batman goes over kid's head. If you're listening to this
podcast at the beginning, you're like, oh my god, the
third anniversary, how do they keep finding things that task about?
This is not This is proof that we have not
found anything else to talk about. Second, now you've piqued
my curiosity. I don't want to see these Lego movies.

(07:18):
We're gonna see him in order. It brings my memories
of a kid playing with Seriously, but I know, but
you know when you said that I was a surprised,
it wasn't. It did not. It was not. I'm saying
you were probably not surprised because I was terrible. I
know that. You know the Spider Man into the spider Verse.
You know one yesterday that got a that's got a
perfect score in Rotten Tomatoes, like it's the highest rated.

(07:39):
Doesn't understand, He goes, I don't get it. How is
getting a lot of rotten tomatoes a good thing? Well?
You don't, right, But then here comes Gandhi. She has
not seen any of these Lego movies. I love Gandhi sneakers.
Gandhi sneakers are super cool. This is like your second
or third pair of seeing her aware of the Jordan's
she loves, she loves. We're about your sneakers, love them.

(08:01):
We're talking about if you've seen any any lego movies.
Have you ever seen a Lego movie? I have not.
You're not the only one. I love the animated movies,
so I should probably go see it. And God's lego sized.
So it seems like, how old are you? Jordan's These
ones are pretty new. I actually got them like six
months ago. Those are looked like you've never worn them.

(08:23):
I know that's the Jordan is your favorite. Yeah, and
I like the ones you wear with the black tips
on them. Thank you. Those are the concord. You gotta
see this. There's a whole like bio about Jordan and
how he signed with Nike and how he wasn't gonna
sign with Nike. And then how it all happened. It
all took place after this. You know, they're not the
college basket player that broke through the bear of Nike's

(08:45):
over vacations. And then and then they showed the Jordan thing.
That's how it came out. Interesting. I um get really
torn because I actually loved Yeasies, but he's such a
d bag now that I can't bring myself to support
if I really want to shoes. When you first heard
of Easy, he was already a d bag. No, not much, Okay,
you watch your mouth. I have to say, we've had

(09:07):
Kanye up here many times. I like him like before
and again, watch your mouth. Okay. Granted, he's got a
little off the rails the last two years since he
got with Kim. When we met him previous to that,
he was a really nice, really nice, jealous, chill, really
cool normal you know. And I understand he's having some
emotional mental issues. We all feel for him, but back

(09:30):
in the day he was seem like a nice guy.
His album The College Dropout is easily one of the five,
in my opinion, best albums of all time ever, so
I'm jealous because you met Kanye Kanye in competit twisted, sister.
But okay, now he's like Kanye Kardashians, a different person
than Kanye. Kanye is, like d E D said, right, whatever,
I feel like Brodie Jenner should change his name because
I don't like it. Associated Brodie Jenner is so hot

(09:52):
and so normal and nice. You should be happy about
he's related. By the way, speaking of my my name,
explain to me how this works. Okay, if somebody dies
in February, they're not always They seem to skip them
in the memorium part of the oscars. Now, is that
only people that died in eighteen? I'll look this up.
You don't need to. I just didn't look it up

(10:13):
last night. Or do they do it right up to
somebody dies. I asked that because Brodie Stevens, who's a
big comedian who's been in movies, who's in the Hangover?
Um uh sort of. It was a Twitter friend of
mine and I have a lot of mutual friends. He
wasn't in the video. He took his own life over
the weekend. They didn't put him in the video. So
I'm wondering that was like Saturday did they do it

(10:40):
till December thirty one? I didn't notice if anyone died
in January that they had in the video. I'm just wondering.
So to shout out to Brodie Stevens, sorry man to
miss You're very funny man. So if you could have
a sneaker deal with anybody? I was asking, we have
an entertainment coordinator. He was on the brook and wondering

(11:01):
if she knew about the rules for the Oscars. She
just wanted to bring the room down for a Minute's
an entertainment question. Did you want to I have to? Oh? Yeah,
vintage Havana. I don't know. I think the travanna is.
Do I have any with the old Cuban sneakers? Sounds
like like their cars from the fifties. Ll she's looking,

(11:22):
she's hit the jingle jingle on you? Why? Who just
slipped in posh mark? But who you? I do it
so much scary too? Who would you have to endorse
your sneaker? Who would I like to enjoy? Who would yeah?

(11:43):
Who would you like to speak for you? Who would
you want to sign with? Brand? I wouldn't you know what? Adidas? Adidas?
It's classic eighties hip hop, Adidas, nice and Gany you would,
of course be would Mike and Jordan's. It's a tight
toss up. I love obviously Jordan's, of course, but that's
kind of someone's got. But like maybe Nike Adidas. I

(12:05):
really like Pumas, like what Rihanna did with the Puma brand.
So Horn, I'm so torn. What about you. You're a
big sneaker guy under armour. Yeah, Spencer loves under Armour sneakers.
My little guy still loves sketchers, my nine year old,
the line up sketchers and sketchers, the lineup sketchers and
like this he loves. I think it's because when you

(12:27):
can see him when he I'm gonna wear my helies
to work? Do you have you? I dare you know?
Hold on, hold on, hold on, I'm calling you out.
You have to wear them now you you just said
you're you have to wear them. But you have to
pop the wheels out and roll. You have to. It
was the last time you are on anything that rolled?

(12:47):
Truth like you fall off your suitcase. Told t be told, no, no, no,
truth be told. I was given a pair of heelies
when they came out and they sat in my closet
for sick months and then I just got rid of
the money. I know you, I know you never wore
them because I've never seen you have a cast on
your army. Who would you have? Who would you want

(13:08):
to endorse your sneaker? You mean, who's sneaker? What I
want to endorse? Yeah, I would say, I love Pumas,
but I'm more comfortable in Nikes. I have to go
to Nikes, but I use the money to buy Pumas.
I wouldn't go with a sneaker. I'd go with a boot,
like like a Timberland boot, because yeah, I like that.
How about a Doc Martin. You know Sand wears a

(13:32):
lot of the docks. She's like Doc Martin fan I
was just dock Martin Fanily. I was like a masher
when I mash. Wait, you were in a mosh pit, Dude,
I used to go to all Time perm Well, I
guess it was done that time. Yeah, I didn't because
I didn't have a skin head. I was just like that.
But I used to go down there and mash down
in Trent in a place called Sydney Gardens. I used

(13:54):
to go to time pit. Just we're being we're being honest.
I did some washing and stage stuff. I staged over, crowdsurfed.
It was purposeful. You didn't fall off a stage. No, No,
I I jumped. Where was which concert was this? Please
say twisted sister. No, it wasn't a megap No. It
was a club in Brooklyn called Lamore, which was the

(14:16):
rock capital of like the East Coast. It was all
the rock concert anyway. Yeah, I did that. You don't
speaking of clud long hair back in the day the
club you sent on an email to everybody, which I
was kind of neat and we closed over and you
mentioned it today, And I don't think the Hell's Angels
had a club New York City. Great people, by the way,
Well I didn't even know that, so you set this

(14:37):
email out. Yeah, they've had the club for almost fifty
years on the Lower East Side. They and they used
to get like a lot of trouble, but they used
to hang out outside. The people took their parking spaces
or set under benchley from the great People. Let's buy
it big fans of Hell's Anger unlike great Taste. Fifteen
