Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
Elvis represents show here parts We went from this studio
to the next studio and back to this studio. Because

(00:24):
I don't know, we're pawns in this game. Because it's
important what's going on. Elvis's is shooting the cover to
his book, so it's exciting. I heard the back cover.
Is it the back cover? Yeah? I think the I
think front cover is probably going to be like this,
like studio esque picture. Oh yeah, not like a radio studio,
but like in a studio with you know, the big

(00:44):
model lights and flashes, crash service tables. That's it's becoming
a reality for him. Yeah. I was laughing because Dina,
our makeup artist Dinner with the Pink Care, came to
do his makeup and I go, Dina, what do you
need abbruction of bronso like he doesn't so easy for her.
I went and visited her yesterday. She did my hair
and she told me how excited she was to come

(01:06):
to Elvis's makeup versus when she comes to do our makeup,
because she said, when it's our makeup, she's dragging like
five cases, especially like you and I are different colors
through the city, and she's like with Elvius, it's literally
five things I put in my pocket. Nice, it's a comb,
a jail, yeah, easy nothing cargo shorts, can't hold nothing.
Elvis said that we all have a book in each
one of us. Of course we all do. I tried

(01:29):
to think about my life's narrative, and I'm like, man,
I really haven't had an amazing life. I mean, it's
been a great life so far, but there's nothing that's
like ju see, nothing raunchy, nothing, nothing provocative. There's nothing
there that it would be of interest to anyone just
having these jobs alone, the things that you have seen
behind the scenes and things interactions with artists, stuff that

(01:51):
we know has gone on behind closed doors. Like so
my plan is when I get fired, I'm ready to
tell all about everyone. And everything's great. So you're got
Gandhi's open to uh to telling her story scary. I
think if you dig deep down back into your Brooklyn roots,
there's stuff in your childhood that you might not be

(02:12):
comfortable with sharing with us right now. Rightfully so, but
but if you think about it, like you know, the
the weird uncle in your family or like stuff like
that where you're you're comfortable in your life to say,
you know what, I don't care. I'm going to tell
my story and that's it. Yeah, you know, who needs
a book? Uncle Johnny? Oh my god, that dude has

(02:34):
told me. I'm like crying laughing and it was the
weird I shouldn't be crying laughing at this because it
involved like death, but the way he delivers so I
was outrageous. I don't think the book will do do
a justice. The audio book will do it even more justice.
It should only be an audio. But the people he
slept with and hung out with and like the greats
back in the day, and people that you didn't even
know we're gay he wound up sleeping with. And you

(02:55):
know it's all right, so scary. You don't think you
have a book, Ganda, you have to tell all book
ready to whence you get fired? Danielle? Book in or
no book? Yes, I have a book. I I could
talk about the beginning of of like you know, all
the boy band era and all the stuff that you know,
Well that's just your job, but your life in general. No, yeah, yeah, definitely, huh.
So I don't think so nothing nothing for you. I

(03:16):
don't think compared. But the other thing is I'm comparing
it to a guy like Elvis who has a book
out from his entire career. He can't do that, So
I got to really break it down to think about it.
But as of right now, I don't think so. So
what Gandhi was saying before was more observational, like scary.
You could talk about all the people and all the
things and experiences that you've seen and all the stuff

(03:36):
happening around you. But I'm talking about a book from
within pect scary joke, but like you haven't been around
some of the crazy things and partaken and some of
the so that is you inside. You know, it's not
it's not stuff that see. I feel like a book
needs to be you need to have like a transformation
and an aha moment where you know it's like this

(03:57):
is the rest of your life now and now you're
you've yeah, you've changed, you've shift gears. See. I feel
like every it's like every good episode of pick your
favorite drama that's not a drama as a comedy, a comedy.
My life's enough drama. I don't watch that stuff on TV. Right, Okay,
I'm sorry. My headphones are just okay, hear anybody? No,

(04:19):
I just I don't think every book needs to have
a transformation necessarily. You can always pick up a drug
poblem right now and then kick it in like five
years behind the music and okay, vh ones behind the
music is the perfect example of how a book should go.
It's like, you know, you're early upbringing, and then you
become popular, and then and then then is the tragic

(04:42):
moments a drap overdose, some kind of crazy death in
you're in families or went off the deep end of you,
you're in jail, and then you're on the You're on
the happy trail again because you've been correct. I got
my happy trail taking care of with laser hair removal.
You know what I'm saying. It's almost like a getting
in the middle of the end. There's a what do
you feel like you have? Like right now, what do

(05:03):
you have in your life? There's no crescendo the beginning.
Obviously the dramatic moment in my world. I don't even
believe you right now. I'm sure I feel like you're
lying to all of our faces. There's nothing crazier dramatic
that has ever happened in your life. And I'm not
asking for details. I just bet that there's some darkness
about Scary really puts himself in a situation where he
has to like call for help, like he's never in

(05:25):
that drama situation ever. You know he does though, he does,
but he doesn't put himself where, you know, in harm's way,
where he's in the bathroom and there's a line of
people doing blow. You know, he doesn't do that. He
doesn't have those stories a little more fun really, Okay,

(05:48):
all right, I'll take you up on that. You don't
have one thing that happened in your life though, where
you realize that was what made you make a change,
because I do. I'm not I know, I'm not going
to say what it is. I've never told anybody. But
would you it in your books? Yes, I would put
it in my book. But you don't have that. No,
I'm trying to think that you have to have it,
but you don't realize it, like I need to change now.
I mean for me, it's it's boring, it's it's the

(06:10):
it's the weight lost thing. It's like I looked at
a mirror at one point a few five years ago,
and I'm like, oh my god, I don't recognize myself anymore.
And I'm like, I got to make a change. That
was my big life change. So I went on this
weight lost that that's just like a chapter exactly which
is goes back to my original port. But I don't

(06:30):
think there's a book in me. Elvis is a book
and everybody. I don't think there's one for me. But
see that you got to sit down and talk to someone,
and and by talking I mean like fully front to back,
day one, falling out of your mom to present day
and everything in the middle, like really unpack it, like,
don't keep the secrets. I think that's a big part
to your story too, is being open and honest about

(06:53):
all this stuff. I'm not saying that you're not. I
don't really know you that well like that, but I'm
just saying a lot of people are like, no, I'm
just boring. But then when you dig a little bit deeper,
you're like, you do what with monkeys? What? Okay? I
don't have any strange habits either, nothing. No, I just
refused to be with that. Well, I really don't. You

(07:14):
could have a whole chapter about Greg t and what
you used to put in your face and all that.
I mean, yeah, that would be that would be a
moment Gregg and I. You know a lot of people
realized Gregg T and I were roommates for four years. Okay,
so to that. One of the things you talked about
while we were on the fifteen minute Morning Show was
you and Gregg T have secrets about each other that
you would never tell anyone ever. So right, there's probably
why I have more secrets about him. You could write

(07:37):
about how you Scotty Be and Gregg Tal shared that
one girl that time. You could write about that, Yes,
but this is the same write about You could write
about how remember we were on a vacation somewhere with
the whole morning show and you tried to take some
girl you wanted to bang on the bus and we
all yelled at you. Years ago, you've been to a

(07:59):
book about lastic. You could talk about the time where
we were away somewhere and I wanted to get some
sleep and greg Ta kept calling my room because Scary
brought a girl back and he didn't want to sleep
in the room with Scary and the girl getting it on.
So we wanted to come and sleep in my room,
I like when we first signed on Miami. But these
are the things that happened in the past. Doesn't mean

(08:21):
it didn't happen, right, Well, that's true, but those are
those are just regular everyday stories, does not I think?
I think I know where you could craft your book
to about your relationships. Yeah I could, and how they
get no, no, but but how they But it made
you the better, It made you a better person because
of those relationships. You didn't become a horrible human being

(08:42):
from relationship and relationship. It built you to become a
better person. It did, it did. So there's two chapters. Okay,
well great, all right, Well and mine is going to
be one of those uh impulse buys at the at
the grocery store where it's like, you know, like it's
a small book. It's kind of like the THO. It's
never getting to hardcover, it's staying at there's a lot

(09:02):
of pictures. Yeah, exactly. So he's still five minutes left
to do whatever you guys want to talk about. I mean,
where's where's by by the way, where's by Brodan's attempting
to be on time for something, because you know, he's
never on time when he says stuff. So he's trying
to First he had a meeting and then he has
to do another podcast with my ride home. So I've
really been like hung it up going out to the

(09:24):
podcast the podcast Awards speech, it's streaming. Well, hold a second,
it's gonna be streaming online at i heart dot com
Friday night, Tomorrow night at eleven o'clock Eastern, so eight
o'clock Pacific. So yeah, it's tomorrow. We're leaving right after
the show or during the show. You've gone from the
airport straight to the awards, just like a true celebrity.

(09:47):
Flights on time. Yeah, I hope so too. Guys, my
first class did not put us in first for those
who even pay for your ticket paid for no, no, nope.
So Brian are nominated in the Best Comedy pod Cast Arena.
Now that award and now hold on a second, hold on,
it's for the Brooklyn Boys. And here's who are up against.
These are the heavy hitters, Mark Marin, Bill Burr, Anna

(10:10):
Faris to Dope to Dope Queens and Joe Rogan and us. Now,
let me ask a question, did you did they say
to you you have to be here, like, did they
say to you. You guys got to be there because
normally at an award shows, if you show up to
the award show, there's a good chance you're winning. The
day it wasn't well, I made that mistake. I should
have waited for them to invite me, right But the
day that it was announced that we were nominated, I

(10:33):
got in touch with the people Premier who basically you know,
they were in contract with them for our podcast, and
I said, hey, we um, you know we're nominated. We'd
love to just go out and be a part of
the experience. And they said, okay, so they're flying us
both out and they're putting us up for a few days.
The thing that I don't I should have waited till
they last minute to play that cat and mouse game,

(10:55):
because but if you waited and they never sent it,
then there was the chance that, you know, you're not
winning right now, chance you guys take it, because you
guys may be the only people in that group that
actually show up and voted. Now with that, did you
write your speech? Did not write my speech? Brody has
a speech. He he already wrote a speech. Yeah, I
didn't an acceptance speech. Rody has probably had that speech

(11:17):
ready to go, since I just what would you say?
I mean, you knows you better thank me because I
you know, I've shouting out it all the time. Hold on,
you know who to thank first? Without this, you wouldn't
be anywhere without Elvis. So Elvis is the first. Elvis
is the first one. Then I would thank your listeners
because without that, the slices, I gotta thank mom and

(11:38):
dad for raising you in Brooklyn and the weird awkward
music that they're going to play. The You probably won't
Brody probably will, Brody probably telling you. I know that
guy has like front and back pages. Yeah, you better
write something because if not, you're not going to get
a moment to speak take over the whole time, or

(11:59):
you don't write. It's bru talent. Is it scary Brodie?
Brodie scary? Who speaks first? Well, it's always it's scary
Brodie because I invited him to do the podcast. It
is of my idea to do a podcast and then first,
And it doesn't matter. I don't care about that. Oh yeah,
yeah he might try and Brodie scary, So all right,
I don't care. You know, That's the thing. Didn we

(12:20):
talk about this yesterday don't be a beta. Don't be
a beta. Take that, Mike, Well, you know, truth is
that's the name of the podcast. Look at the logo,
says with Scary and Brodie, that's what it is. But
because I invited him to be a part of it
and then he's like he didn't want to do it,
I had to convince him that the two of us
would do a good podcast. And then we did this
article for this paper called A M New York, which

(12:41):
is out today, but it's also online. If you follow along,
it's a A M New York dot com, m N
Y dot com or m A M M y dot com.
You'll see the article on us and the article there.
He literally in the article it says it's the podcast
with Brodie and Scary, and it says because Brodie told
me to write it that way. She writes it in

(13:01):
print in the article, which means he pulled her aside.
But I guess when I wasn't looking, and says make
sure I find that do not write a speech for
this reason, only because I know when you're you're excited
and nervous, you don't put your thoughts together, which will
be great for us to play back on Monday. I
see where Scary gives his acceptance speech and uh, we

(13:24):
turn you into a meme. Yeah, you say on l
A all weekend on Monday. The night after that is
the Alternative Rock Stations show on A ninety point seven
is doing alter ego. So the Killers are playing shine Down.
I think a bunch of the Revivalists and a bunch
of others come back Monday. You have coming back Monday.

(13:45):
We come back Monday. Great, that's gonna be a fun
weekend for even if you don't win, you'll have fun. Ye.
Who are you going to do in l A together? Like?
Go hit the town? Is broadly gonn hit the town? Well,
Friday Saturday will be together. He's might go to Disneyland
on Sunday night or Sunday afternoon. We know with his cousins.
I don't know out there. This is part of the book.
Whatever they do in l An do some shaty stuff.

(14:08):
Here's your chance. I'm gonna call Charlie Sheen. I'm gonna
