Speaker 1 (00:02):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
Firm Presents. This place is a mess, and I'm playing.
I'm playing with the little pieces of food they're stuck
to my desk here in front of the microphone. Yeah,
(00:23):
you know how sometimes you scratch off a little bump
on the table, You're like, oh, this little crumb selling.
I did that, and then as my fingers slipped a
little closer to me, I hit another one and another one.
The whole desk here is kiked on stuff. I don't
sit here. You know, you're sitting where Uncle Johnny makes
his cocktail. Yeah, stuffing before Oh gosh, we gotta get
this mess cleaned up. This is a ship hole. Take
care of that. Scary? Can you please clean? Hey? You
(00:45):
know scary? No? No No, no, what are these wipes right here?
I'm gonna start wiping the Wait a second, I don't
like those. Are those the clorox one? The ones? I
don't know? Those for the bathroom, those for the toilet bowl?
Those were anything there for? You're not supposed to wipe
your your hands or your butt with it? Oh scary,
I don't like those. Well, good, you know what. I
guess when we're in your studios you like. I guess
(01:07):
I do not want to Scary as many sponsors, Otherwise
he would tell you for them. Can we talk about that?
You know, we had some complaints this week that Scary
has too many sponsors. I don't know, because people people
think that you're I mean, you're always selling something. You're
like a carnival. I stand by what I sell. I mean,
I really do. Okay, you sold the diapersperm it was,
(01:27):
it was, and the vape pens. Yeah, well I never
said I smoked. I never said okay, but you're standing.
And the tampons I never okay. That's where I drew
the line a second. I will tell you, Scary, you
do a fantastic job for our partners. And I'm not
going to take that away from you, but you do
a lot. Okay. Well, I'm okay with that. Okay, it
is Scary season, though, this is the season where Scary
(01:49):
does the most selling. Here. Yeah, this place, so Gandhi.
Every time I turn on the radio station, I hear
Scary selling me something. I hear it also, and he
does a fantastic job doing it. And I'm not I'm
not debating that. I mean, right, he's very convincing. Well,
I do a lot of research into what I sell.
I I actually make sure I go to meetings. So
(02:11):
when you're selling the Pampers, let's talk about that. That
wasn't one off. Okay, you keep going back to that
one thing. T you're here just in time. We're talking.
We're talking to the salesman. Yeah, we're talking about the
fact that every time you turn on the station, it's
scary selling something. Yes, of course, But like he when
he was selling Pampers, I thought you should sell Pampers
because you've had kids. That that does I still I'm
still scarred from that. That was a tough one to error.
(02:33):
But the point is, I will tell you I do
meet with these partners of ours, these potential partners. I
get a feel for them. I hang out with them,
and I'm like, you know what, these are good people
do so I do my recent. You do a great job.
I'm not saying you don't. What I'm saying is you
do too many. I think you should be more exclusive,
really value your brand more. Yeah, well, I guess I
guess I get the least amount. Maybe that's why they
(02:55):
come to me, because I'm the lower, the cheapest and
the cheapest. Now do you undercut Great Tea in the
sales department? I think he does. This is fascinating. People
don't know in the deal you have you guys, you
guys get a fee for being spokespeople for these See.
I don't so when you need to hear me doing
commercials for that's just a part of what I get.
That's a part of myself. I don't get. I don't
(03:16):
get this. How do you make ends meet? I was
wondering about, very good question. He has another job, Yeah,
I have another job. Anyway, we had a very dangerous
show today. Another reason I'm happy you walked in Great Tea.
Uncle Johnny made his turkey lurkey margit margarite. And now
what was in that Gandhi? Um? It was apple cider apples.
(03:38):
I believe tequila was in there, a little bit of
it and cinnamon and then there was a cinnamon stick
and probably some other stuff that I don't know about. Right. So,
Great Tea, as you know, is allergic to apple seeds, right, apples,
So what happened it is an apple. What really happens
is that pollen drips into the apples and hangs on
the tree. And then it gets inside the core and
(03:59):
then when I start to eat it, I'm digesting pollen,
so which all of a sudden gives me such a
harsh reaction that I now have to be an EpiPen
carrier for apples. So you you went to drink the
turkular key Margherita that Gandhi just described, and I actually
had an apple slice floating in it, yes, which is
very evidence. It says I know I had. So my
(04:21):
ice was chunked up, and then the apple was so okay.
So Gregory starts to drink this uh toxic, toxic cider,
and then you realize you're probably uh in trouble, right
because well, so all of a sudden, my shoulder started itching,
and then it went all the way down my arm,
so my arms start was itching. And then I'm like,
(04:43):
something's wrong. And then as I took another sip, I
looked inside I could see the apple slice sitting there.
So Danielle knows where my EpiPen is. So I quickly
ran over to Danielle and I whispered her, ear, I
just drank this. It's got apples, and I'm getting reaction.
You thought you were done. You thought you were a gonner.
I was, yes, I didn't know what to expect, correct,
So I'm it's a phone call. So all the allergies
(05:04):
and the doctors and whatnot, and they finally got back
in touch with me and the doctor. My one doctor said,
please just take to benegeral. It should wear off. I
think you need to actually digest the apple slice in
order for it to really spark something in you. Uh
and then so true enough. I'm okay. Now my eye
swelled a little bit and it was really itchy. My
(05:24):
arms were itchy, and then my earlobes were itchy. But
everything everything went away, all right, So we're good now.
But I know my favorite thing is Gandhi in the
middle of him back to worrying and calling the doctor
scary walks back. He says, hey, Ti, I know you've
got something going on, but we really need to work
on our on our show, our show list. Yeah, we
have some Thanksgiving replay shows. Either. He wanted you to
(05:47):
totally abandon the fact that you were dying get to work,
because you're ruining for everyone. I just want to say
that for the record. Gret T was sitting upright in
his chair, slumped over like, let's say President Lincoln. He
was not gasping for air, he wasn't scratching his skin,
and he looked perfectly fine. I'm okay, maybe it was
(06:10):
just a mild I was on the phone, which was
the doctor. Okay, let's stop everything, so Gandhia what you're
learning now. Even though Scary is a great salesperson and
he's a sweetheart of a guy, he is sometimes oblivious
to what other people are going through. We called it
a lack of empathy. Okay. I can assure you though,
that next week, Scary, we're doing live reads for EpiPens,
(06:31):
apps or apples, deadly apples. I don't have an allergy,
but I have a friend who does. I like to
think that I have a heart heart too. I think
maybe just engage the situation correctly. That's because we were
all sitting in here, and then you came back in
and said it. The way you pitched it to all
of us was like t was out of line for
(06:51):
not doing what you wanted. He was mad because you
would not do the work for him, even though you
were back there on the phone with the emergency room. Unbelievable. Yeah,
I went to go tell I went to tell the
whole room. I said, I can't believe it. I'm like,
it's like two hours before we have to get out
of here, with a lot of work to cover. I
don't want to stay here till two He is possibly
going to do like eight hours in the emergency room.
(07:12):
But you didn't take it. If he could write you up,
if this so, well, So here's okay. So here's how
one person is so disconnected and the other one cares.
So what happened was so after Scary like he did
that to me, he turned around and walked away. So
our producer Sam was back there. And Sam comes over
to me and she goes, she grabbed my arm, and
she goes, I wasn't here for that. I want to know,
(07:33):
are you okay? Do I have to do anything for you?
And I'm like, I used about a glass of water.
She's like, no problems to really got me water, and
and I like sat with me for like five minutes
while Scary was all right, we've been going on and
on and on about this, and so I want to
go back to what I was saying, and let's let's
investigate this. Gandhi. Now we're not saying Scary doesn't have
a heart, because his heart is huge. Scary just has
(07:55):
this way of not truly always being in the moment
in his mind and is always thinking of other things.
And you can tell it sometimes when he'll start start
to talk on the show and not know what he's
talking about. He will go on and on about stuff.
Sometimes it don't it doesn't make sense with what we're
talking about. But it's not because he doesn't like it
doesn't because he's doesn't do it because he's not brilliant,
because he is. Sometimes he's not in the moment, like
(08:17):
right now, what are you thinking of privacy? The game? Okay? See,
because he's not even listening to what we're doing now.
So so you can describe it better than anyone. Like
he was in the house with a TV set and
the house God Forbid caught on fire and everyone was
running out screaming. He would like, were you guys going
you're missing a great commercial. He would be focused on
(08:38):
the TV they like, scare the house on fire? Yeah,
hold on the games coming back? Would not hear the
fire see the fire as a man as right now
we're starting off on a lie. But comes okay, Men
and women are made differently, and I've studied this. The
way the brain works. A woman's brain is a multi
lane highway, which is why you're able to multitask. You
(08:59):
were born that way. It's in your DNA and it's
in your brain where you can you can talk on
the phone, you could watch TV, and you could you
could be talking to in front of you at all
the same time. And you guys can you can absolutely
have in your head. You know you're a female. The
female mind is more powerful and your mind has accomplished
more at the same time, the male mind is a
(09:21):
single lane dirt road where it's just weird. We're just
one thing at a time, and I am the ultimate
in that. I am. I ultimately focus on one thing
and that's where my head is. There could be things
going on around me and I don't even realize. I'm
alouf to the situation like Gandhia address. I think that
(09:42):
would be valid were there not four other men sitting
in the room who did not do the same thing
right nice if he didn't notice that because he only
notices what he noticed. For instance, so Brody will get
up and start to walk out of the room. Brodie
will open the door and he's about to walk through it,
and Scary will walk right in front of him and
almost kind of no, no, I'm kidding. He'll sort of
push you over to get out of the door, and
(10:03):
he won't even say thank He doesn't even recognize that
there's someone opening a door, or a door has been
opened by someone else. He just sees the door and
goes through it because he's thinking of something else. We
consider that rude, but he's not being rude. He's he's
being a man. He's not. He's not being rude. He
just cannot pay attention to more than one thing at
a time and drive a car. It's always been ultimate downfall.
(10:25):
It really has been. I've been that's not your ultimate downfall.
I think it's the it's the Dr Fat loss programmer.
Is your ultimate downfall? Are you talking about? Gary was
talking about the highways, so I agree with him. He's
a one lane highway. But it's also a mixture of
a goldfish. Because today we had Mariah carry in right
(10:48):
and we're going to play her song, but it wasn't
in our system. So Scary comes in and goes, hey,
we need this song, no more than for me to
take a deep breath, Scary turns and goes outside, comes
back the studio. Hey, so do you have that song?
I'm just following up because if if it falls out
of my brain, I'm gonna forget to follow up. Okay,
I don't want to turn this into just a bashing
(11:09):
Scary thing, because that's not really the point. The point
is a lot of people are like this. This isn't
just you, right, There's a larger discussion to be had here.
Men versus women. No, no, no no, no, no, no. You
don't think a certain people know you focus on this
is this is just some people versus other people. I
wouldn't say this is solely a men versus women thing.
Just because you read one article once, it doesn't mean
(11:30):
that that's the end all for this conversation. I would
like to like that. I would like to defend Scary
though in Great T situation, because we we've been ragging
on Scary that he wasn't helping out Great Tea. But
from time to time, Great T is the boy who
cried wolf. So you do not know when Great exaggerates things. Yes,
this was a matter of life and death. Yeah, he
(11:51):
may have when it comes to eating apples. I would
probably think we should we should. Uh, well, we didn't.
Scary defense, and he didn't apple. He didn't know at
the time him he ate the apple. He just thought
he was. He was because it also but I gotta say,
I'm sorry, I have to disagree if he if he
put his lips up to an apple, it is. It
(12:11):
is also the season where Gregg T checks out on
a Monday because we're all because Thanksgivings on Thursday. So
come Monday, Gregg T goes, you know what, I'm gonna
start celebrating Thanksgiving. Greg T on the phone with doctor
when comes and it's scary defense. Although we all told
him that Gregg he might be having allergic reaction, Scary
was focused on the game privacy at the time. Okay,
(12:33):
there is that. There is that. So Garrett, let's let's
put let's put this ball in your court. You're a diabetic, okay,
And when's the last time you had a serious diabetic
a couple of years ago? Yeah, okay. Now, would how
would you feel if someone said, well, you know, to
be fair, there was sugar, but I don't know in
his insulin level. We don't know. Sometimes Garrett exaggerates. Now
(12:54):
would you want us to not if I exaggerate? If
I was known as the guy who exaggerates from time
to time, I could see why you wouldn't believe, you know,
But if we're talking we're talking life in death situation.
We're not talking about like a little get that. I
get that in that case, and and for for him,
I get that. But nine times out of ten it's
(13:16):
exaggeration from Greg T. Nine times out of Garrett was
having a diabetic attack, Scary would most likely offer him
a snickers. He would save my life at that point. Yeah,
here he would. He would accuse you of being angry.
I mean, Gandhi arguably you know, the smartest person in
the room. So where do you Where do you fall
(13:37):
on this debate? I am actually on the side of
all of you, I think, just today, but Scary what
I'm saying you guys versus Scary. Yeah, And I love
Scary and I think he can be very like he
was really helpful trying to help me fund an apartment.
But I did notice that today. And then it was
extra funny when he came in and was like, listn't
a T and what he did? And then he's having
(14:01):
a problem, like he could be he could be dying.
I think you should cut him a brain. It was
the same thing like when when we when this first
happened where I was diagnosed as major alogy. Scary was like, Oh,
you're gonna be fine. Sit in your car, just put
some air conditioning on, you'll be fine. You imagine if
you were in a war and you got shot and
(14:21):
you were on the battlefield and he required help from him, Oh,
just just walk off the bullet. But I gotta I
gotta go. I got an appearance. But I think this
is a learning moment for all of us. I will
not be turning to in case of an emergency. And
the first thing I said, I was like, Oh, maybe
we should get like a list of everybody's out Here's
here's what's dangerous about Scary Scary. Here's what's dangerous about
you. You You are the sweetest guy, and you have great intentions,
(14:43):
and you have a heart the size of the universe.
It's just that you are a little singularly focused sometimes,
So maybe we should keep that in mind at all time.
I'm gonna pay closer attention to that. No, you're not
everything right. Morning Show
