your podcast? Firm Elvis Presents show. So we can increase
(01:28):
our numbers, we're changing the name of this podcast from
the fifteen Minute Morning Show podcast to The Brooklyn Boys
with Scary and with Elvis, Brody and Scary. I'll take it.
I'll take it seriously. Brooklyn Boys podcast is doing really,
really well. It is the Crown Jewel. I actually was
(01:49):
on it yesterday and I was so excited. Can we
talk about what you guys were talking about? What we're
talking about about mother's pictures kids? Oh my gosh. It
was hysterical because Brody's mom is awesome and she puts
all his pictures up, but he's an only child. Scary's mom,
on the other hand, all the other kids because they're
getting married and having babies, and having all these life moments.
(02:10):
His pictures are being taken down. And even though you've
been dating Robin for how many years? Your mother will
not put a picture of you and Robin up because
you're just dating. She didn't say that she only puts
up life's important moments. She's just she's just saving the
real estate for the milestone markers. And with a brother
and a sister who both got married, those are milestone
(02:33):
markers that take precedence. And then the birth of my nephew,
you know, Lucas, so that's a milestone marker. And now
Lucas is getting older, so there's got to be a
picture every week. So my question is this, if you
are single and you don't have a marriage going or
a baby, you surely have some milestone marker we can celebrate.
(02:54):
What do you think is going to be your mom?
The last milestone marker was my double my double image
graduation picture that we've all had, and it was in
a frame and it's been there a current day. What's
something your mom could put in a frame right now?
Something from this center. He wanted to put the picture
up with him with Elton John. He thought that was
a milestone moment, okay, whatever, but they siddy. So so
my mother's like, well, you're still You're still in pictures
(03:17):
you and your girlfriend, you you know, in in your
sister's wedding party, your your brother's wedding, and I worry
she's telling you something you haven't done enough in your
life to make her excited for you. So listen, thank
you for coming to the fifty minute Morning Show podcast.
Around the Room, we have Gandhi her first week here.
We'll get into that in a few moments. Dave Brody
(03:38):
is from the very very wildly successful Brooklyn Boys podcast
with Brody and Scary, and you know we might as
well say, Scary Brodie, let let him have one milestone moment.
Of course, Garrett is here today from Beautiful Staten Island,
who's had many milestone moments with a wife, a child.
There's Scary, who has no moments, and there's Danielle who's
(03:58):
a walking load of moments and straightening, well, straighten, Nate,
you're single. Do you did your mom have any pictures
of you in your milestone moments? You know she has
tons of pictures of me? Up, Uh, why wouldn't she?
But also my other two brothers, and then just to
you know, my my older brothers are both married, so
there's a picture of them and their wife and their
(04:19):
family respectively underneath their baby picture. And then there's a
picture of me with my girlfriend underneath my bare That
was nice. So there wasn't you and your first jeep
or something like. It's it's it's it's the families that
we're creating. Now. You know who else has a lot
of pictures of Nate up around the house. Nate, you
(04:40):
know those are mirrors. Thank god you're not a vampire,
because you would have no reflection vampire ever. Okay, so
all right here it is. It's Thursday you're hearing about
you know, our current problem was scary and his pictures
and all the other things you've been learning about Gandhi.
I mean, do you have any thoughts? I mean, I'm
sort of putting you on the spot. Is there anything
(05:01):
you want to comment about something that's sticking out to
you as being a headline on the show so far
or what anything. I know you're probably not gonna like
this answer, but the truth is, before I came here,
I did a lot of digging and investigating to try
and find out who the crazy one was, who the
week link was, who I was maybe going to be
scared of or have a problem with, And everyone said, no,
they're all great. They're the best people ever. And so
(05:23):
far it seems like that. And like I said, I'm
suspicious if you had to pick a weekly a week link?
All right, yea fair? Oh well it is okay, So
it's gotta be weird because you know, we've had this
show in motion for way over twenty years and most
(05:46):
of the people working here have been here. Nate, you're
the last one. It was it was hard to this
train is moving and you got to catch up to it.
How long have you been here? Five years? Five years?
Like a week and a half really, So it is
a moving train. You gotta catch up with it. I
always said that it is, and I'm loving this so far.
I'll run as long as I have to to catch
(06:06):
this train. But I feel like we're doing well. I
think we are to think, Yeah, we're definitely doing well.
You caught the train. You're already moving up to business classes.
In fact, Scar's mom has two pictures of her already
rating Danielle. Danielle, I gotta tell you when we were
out there searching for our new sister. Yes, you were
(06:28):
very instrumental in, you know, leading us toward or away
from people that we were talking to. What was it
about Gandhi that clicked with you? Did you settle for this? Yes,
something like a couple of days. One thing was when
she came in and she kind of was like hanging
out with us. You weren't here, you were in Santa Fe,
and she still was able to hold her own with
(06:49):
you not being here, which I know in my head
he tends to do it a lot, and when his
Santa Fe studio is built, he probably won't come in anymore,
so that's not true. I felt like, if she do
that when you're not here, what could she do when
you are here? And then I just felt comfortable with her.
I felt like she was a friend that I've known
for a while, and I just felt like we were
getting along and kidding around and laughing together, and it
(07:11):
was just this comfort thing. We'll tell you. When Nate
and I were out there really really thinking about what
to do, you were the first person we always thought, okay, well,
Danielle first, the Danielle filter must be satisfied. So you
have fulfilled the daniel filter. Yes, And to be honest,
I felt the same way about Danielle when I left.
I was like, you know, I know this industry is tricky,
(07:32):
and she was such a welcoming, lovely woman and I
feel like a lot of times I haven't encountered that
there's like competition, maybe a little animosity, and she was
just awesome from the beginning. Thank you, I think, very kind.
What's cool about Danielle is she there's no competitive bone
in her body when it comes to what she does
for a living. She knows she's made it. She knows
she's great at what she does, and if it were
(07:54):
to end tomorrow, she'd be okay with it and be
happy for what she accomplished. And I think I wish
we could all be more like that. And so you
know what the funny thing is, I feel like there's
so much room for everyone and there's something for everyone.
So what the things that I don't give, you'll give,
and the things that you don't give, Elvis gives. And
you know what I mean, like even with like, even
with like I just just in general, I think it's
(08:15):
just stupid. We were we're We're lucky. To be here
and to do what we do, and and I, you know,
just at the top of the mountain. This is it,
like there is. I can't think of where else there
would be to go but here. So why not be
inviting and happy and loving towards each other. Maybe we're
the top of the mountain because we just don't really
believe we're at the top of the mountain. I just
noticed something, and I think I may be onto something here.
(08:37):
Danielle mentioned how Gandhi felt like she knew her already
and she was so comfortable and so nice. But that
was about two minutes after Gondi admitted she researched everyone
so she'd know how to handle everyone. However she did it,
she realized I better be nice to Danielle, the queen
Bee and the research after coming in when I decided
that you guys were going to have to kick me
(08:57):
out of the building to get rid of me. You
don't love about Gandhi, but she doesn't have any baggage.
You show, you are what you see is what you get.
And you're not pretentious. You're you're you're eager, You're you're
you're one of the For me, you're one of the
guys you like. You know, I think you appreciate my humor.
I feel like I'm already bonding with your research. I
(09:17):
really know. I think I don't you don't judge me,
I don't judge you. I don't pre judge you. And
I think that that's important in catching up with the train.
As you said earlier, you know, and like being as
part of the train. You fit right in, like a
perfect puzzle piece. I said that to Elvis. I said,
a lot of times when someone starts or they're here
for the first time, they hold back and you don't
get the real person for a while. But I feel
(09:39):
like we got the real person from day one. Let
me say something about that. About the bat. You said
she has no baggage. Of course she has baggage. We
have baggage, And you know what, her baggage just does
not appear as other people's baggage here in the room,
And you know what, everyone is motivated to say the
things they say, and fired up just do the things
they do, and then discourage from doing things they don't
want to do because of this weird baggage and will
(10:00):
slowly find out what her baggage is. So far. I've
been making notes, and I have discovered some pieces of
baggage with right here unpack. I don't care, No, it's
only that it's only the fifteen minute morning show more
like groceries, like a treat. I will tell you this
I had. We had a great launch. We had some
(10:20):
wine together, and I learned some things about Gandhi that
were fantastic. It made me get to know her. It
accelerated my my knowledge about her a little bit. I
and I loved having that moment. Therefore, we know that
with a little alcohol, she opens wine. When Uncle Johnny
comes and starts making drinks, forget it, we'll get in
(10:42):
trouble because if we all get very happy, even very
quiet about about so. I love Gandhi. I think we've
connected on many of things, from sneakers to just we
learned uh this morning that we're at the same age
and uh. But I noticed one thing with Scary. So.
Scary has been trying to petition Gandhi to live in
New Jersey with near him. And that's great. But what
(11:05):
Scary did was I'm gonna take you around town, show
you this spot. You can come in my car. I'll
drive you home. Then you can take the train home.
So he'll offer taking taking her to Jersey, but then
she's on her own to get back. I want to
show her what a commute is like. Commute is like
via a train. I also want to it's like in
case you cause a flat tire and you have to
(11:26):
walk home and I'm not driving. I see what you're doing.
It's a very easy commute. Actually, I think he wants
you to see the ease of commute and how that
could weigh in on your decision. Again, he'll show you
what it's like to be car jacked. He's gonna drive
you to a neighborhood dared trying to make scary out
to be a lazy fuck, and he's not. He's not
(11:49):
always considerate. But a lot of times you'll walk up
to the door to walk out the door, and you'll
open the door for you to walk out, he'll run
through it and not even say thank you. Every good
times where he has wished me over right, and then
and then that time that OBLIVI can't blame. What's that
(12:11):
time where he went with greg Tea and they both
had an appearance and greg Ta was having a allergic
reaction to apples to apples, and instead of taking into
the hospital, Scary decided to stay at the appearance, and
he made Gret to go by himself. He left him
on the side of the road. I would barely breathing
(12:33):
up until that point. And knowing greg T, and I
knowed him, I had known him fourteen years to that point,
he had never had an allergic reaction to anything, let
alone apples. I didn't even know apples could give it
an allergic reaction. But besides that, Greg T is the
boy who cried Wolf and all that together, and I'm like,
this guy's working with me, so I'm not gonna go
anywhere his as his his throat was closing up. I
(13:00):
will defend Sary on that Great Tea of anybody is
the boy who cried Wolf. I never know when he's
telling you the truth on something, so I could totally
see where you made that mistake. And Great Tea does
exaggerate from the part where he was turning blue. He
was really selling it, really selling it. Is a video
that Jake put together of Scary an appearance at a
casino where he took his girlfriend and someone else so
(13:21):
in the cab. Scary was by the door. He made
his girlfriend sit bitch in the middle, and he gets
out of the cab, doesn't turn back to help her
out of the car, so she gets out. He's two
thirds to the revolving door, goes through the revolving door,
and the door had time to stop revolving by the
time she got there. He didn't even wait for her.
Gentleman here, he got into a car that was stopped
(13:42):
because he thought it was a zuber and it was
somebody else's car, and he sat next to a car seat.
You have it his baggage. I gotta go. You know
what I have to say that I have gone out
with Scary many times where he was a perfect gentleman.
He know he's great for things. He's waited from my
(14:03):
uber to make sure I got there and I got
in on time. We give Scary hell because he does
have a side of him that where he's oblivious sometimes,
but he is more locked in than most when it
comes to making sure people are happy, well fed, and
uh driving a car worth a lot of money. He will,
which is very important to him. He's very, very very
(14:24):
into People who can afford BMW's are also get used
to having one of every appetizer on the menu when
you got to dinner with him series scary that well,
you'll see it too in my garage. I'm kidding. You
know he's on the phone right now. Did he did
he get up? And really he's driving a three series?
(14:45):
I think very upset. No, the whole point this is
these are the conversations that bother him. Oh really, I
will say this about him. He's so weird about that,
the status thing. Anyway, go ahead, yeah, and I'm by
the way, I'm not getting an eight series. I know
we only have like a minute left real quick. But
he doesn't have kids, he doesn't have any accomplishments to
(15:08):
revel in, so he's got to get a car. He's
got any I was going to say. Through this whole thing,
Scary has actually been super nice and he's reached out
a lot to see like, are you okay the nicest
and I won't say the nicest obviously you intend you'll
have been the nicest and brody last um No, but
he's been gry. He's really tried. Well, that is scary
(15:31):
on a cracker, and now he's out of the room,
we can say nice things about it. You actually said
on that note, you're afraid to get up to go
to the bathroom because you hear what we say about
people when they get up to go to the bathroom.
I will die of like going septic before I leave
this room today. What you say, We can't say anything.
You go too quickly. And I do have a penis
(15:52):
when it comes to that, and I am the fastest
pier around. It's impressive. It is it is. Yeah, put
it on your profile there The fifteen minute Morning Show.
I guess the next one you hear will be uh
from Monday, as we returned from Las Vegas and the
I Heart Radio Music Festival. Oh we're coming back. We
may not even go The fifteen Minute Morning Show
