Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
from Elvis Horning Show. All right, guys, good afternoon, good morning,
and good evening. I don't know when you're listening to
the fifteen minute Morning Show podcast. I'm Greg t. I

(00:24):
got Garrett to the left and night I've got Jake
in the middle right in front of me, and I've
got your Ritza to the right of me. So when
you call one two zero, one hundred, usually your writs
to take that very first call, she feels you out
and then put you through to the Elvis duran Morning Show,
which then of course your face and name goes up
on our screen and Elvis can see who was on

(00:45):
callers one through right. So anyway, so here's what's going
on right now, right now. Honestly, there's so many moving
parts of the Elvis Durrand Morning Show, so many people. Honestly,
and I hate saying, you know, the surprection, but people
got things to do, their busy, they've got meetings. But
in honesty, that's what happened today. It was just a random,

(01:06):
weird chain of events that happened where so many things
were happening that the only people that were left to
be a part of the fifteen minute Morning show was myself, Garrett,
Jake and yours. That's every time you writs in Iran
is when they're like, ah, there's nobody here, give yourself
more credit. No, I don't mind. I'm happy to know.

(01:28):
You know what you know, there's there's a saying that
you know, behind every behind every successful person is your
significant other. You know that that really is there is
your supporting cast or else. You really wouldn't be able
to be as successful as you are without someone being
there behind you to really be that support significant Yeah. Yeah, man,
I think that everybody. I think that everybody in the

(01:50):
show has a part, you know, to play, and everybody
helps out in in their in their own way. Listen,
when you go to Elvis duran dot com, who makes
the greatest videos that are at Elvis during dot com? Does? Right?
I mean, for real, We've got an amazing video editor
in Jake, an amazing video editor. Absolutely, you call the shots,

(02:10):
You've got all the equipment, you take, all the videos,
you do all that stuff, and bam, what do we got?
We got a great video? And then we we send
people to the to the Elvis duran uh dot com
website and then all of a sudden, there it is.
It's all Jake's stuff and our YouTube channel or two thousand.
We are two thousand subscribers away from a hundred thousand
right now, which is not that bad because I'm sure
two thousand people listen to this subscribe. That's huge. So

(02:32):
let's so if you, if you, if you take into
the to the account that we that every morning show
needs a quality website and and quality videos and things
to watch and see. Jake, you're that supporting guy Boom,
your significant other, Jake, did you ever think about you know,
he sent you handle you our YouTube page. If you
got one dollar from everyone that's subscribed to the page,

(02:54):
you would almost have a hundred thousand dollars. Wow about
that would be pretty That wasn't allow you to be
a thousand? How about that? I'll take it not bad.
I mean, listen, Garrett, I mean you listen, Garrett. You've
got you've got phone taps that you do. You've got
that the whole sound piece that you bring to Elvis

(03:15):
every day, which is the audio version of the news,
which is awesome. So people are sitting there glue to it.
Let's let's let's be realistic, right, news is boring. Right
when you see an anchor on television, you're like, okay,
and they right, But you're bringing a whole new spin
on it to the radio by giving us the sound
bites of the news for that day. Thank you very much, buddy.

(03:38):
And I think that that helps out a big time
because not only do you are you bringing it in
and Elvis has something to actually spin his wheels on
and talk about, you know. Right after that, let's also
let's not you know, forget about you, Greg t Well, no, no, no,
no freged about me right now? No, I do want
to frege about me. I don't want to go right over.
You want to go to you next, you know, like

(03:59):
sometimes you'll come in go okay, what do I do?
I'm answering the phones, you know, great, I have to
deal with people that are complaining, you know. But behind
the scenes, there's a lot of things that you do.
There's a pre morning show that runs nationwide. Well you're it, say,
you're the one that has to figure out what little
best of clips to implement into that five minute I'm sorry,

(04:20):
into a five five am pre show right seconds. Right,
it's a big deal. To actually to understand and put
it in all, you know, putting all those best of
moments right, those clips. Then of course you also are
you are that that um that that red carpet to
the Elvis Durrand Morning Show because Elvis is allowed to
do the show. There's so many things going on. Could

(04:41):
you imagine not knowing who is behind caller one or
or who's on line sixteen, who's on line eight or nine?
You are that person that says, it's okay, relax, do
your show. I'm gonna make sure you've got a good
call to go to. Its true. Sometimes he does it
at random, and it freaks me, just for fun, just
for fun. He that right, But but the thing is

(05:01):
that is that you need that. I mean, now I
host the five am pre morting show here in New York,
and I don't have anybody that's here at that hour
that can answer the phones. So if Garrett and I
are like, hey, let's take a call, most likely it's
a truck driver, right, And not that I don't want
to talk to truck drivers, but I mean I don't
know what they really want to talk about. I haven't

(05:22):
you know, I haven't you know, talked to him and
figured out where this is gonna go or not. Last
time Greg t really answered the phones was when he
first started here at Ze one Hunter at the radio
station work where we broadcast from out of every morning.
I don't think they knew when Gregg he first got
his job. You know, he showed up in a suit
and tie like every day, or just the first first
As they say, you only get one chance to make

(05:44):
a first impression, So how do you didn't make a
better first impression coming into to work with a with
a suit on. My first impression was falling on all
of the alcohol as I got hired. So I'm just
a drunk, okay. So that might have the best each
their own to each their own. But what what we're
trying to say is at we should never just think
of ourselves as like the Z squad of the Elvis
Duran Morning Show. You know, there is someone that helps

(06:08):
and make sure that the show becomes a success that
it is today and that's the truth. And when I
started answering phones myself, I knew that if I can
go give you know, the morning show a good quality
phone call, the audience that's listening to us, you know,
on the radio, They're gonna go, oh my god, that
shows great. They're gonna go tell their friends, and then
their friends are gonna talk tell their friends. So at

(06:29):
the end of the day, it is super important to
be able to have those great phone calls. It's super
important to be able to tell people to go to
Elvis Duran dot com and see the great videos that
you do. And it's super important that we can say, hey,
what's going on in the world today, And let's not
bore you with a news reporter, but let's get some
sound clips in here. Boring news reporter, is somebody paying
you to make yourself feel better about ourselves today. Did

(06:51):
you have a meeting before this and they told you
we need you to make these three people happy today. No,
I think that, and I do it myself. It's it's
very easy to come into work when you've been somewhere
for a while and feel like no one cares the squad.
I mean, we've been here open to forever, and you
don't think. There's been so many times where I'm like, oh,
no one cares. I I you know, no one cares

(07:13):
about You're crazy. Everyone calls it how much they love it.
But I'm saying in fair turn like you're saying, just
as you see it. Sometimes he feels that same way too,
and you could tell him that that's not true, but
he doesn't see it because he's living it, just like
you're living your situation. And you know, people that are
listening to the podcast right now are definitely going through

(07:33):
the same thing. They They've got a job that they've
been to, you know, and and they may feel at
times where they're like no one cares. But you know what,
I want people to stop and think about what you
really do bring to the table and understand that behind
that company that you work for, whoever it is, that boss,
whatever it's going on, whether you are bringing him coffee,

(07:53):
whether you aren't taking notes, taking minutes, you're a part
of the success of whatever that business is doing right now.
You're a part of it. You absolutely are. And without
the people behind you, there wouldn't be a successful morning show.
Can I paint your face red and blue and put
you on a horse like Mel Gibson a Brave Heart?
I'm just saying, Brave Heart is a great movie. You

(08:17):
know what, listen, think about this? What will never take off?
What are some what are some great movies that you
can recite lines to Mean Girls, but that's not really
what do you got? What's your what's your line from
Mean Girls? You got a line on pink? We wear Wednesdays,
we wear pins. Sorry, but today today we did. We

(08:38):
were done? Is that your favorite movie? That is my
favorite movie. My boyfriend refuses to watch it because it's
like I could just watch you or hear you say
the words come on. It's like I'm Katie Herron. It's
like if you're from a why are you white? Do
you quote the movie the entire time you're watching it? Oh? Yeah, See,
that's why I get why you won't watch. I can't
stand people when you're watching movie and they say every
single line you're watching it your off the top of

(09:01):
your head. How many lines can you recite from Mean
Girls right now? Oh my god, I'm on the spot.
Well you just said one, so you got that? Damn Africa?
What happened to come on? Fetch? Oh stop trying to
make Fetch happen. It's not going to happen. We just kille.
I wish I had a bell to be like ding

(09:22):
dinging every time. Yeah, I love me and girls. Here's
what you do as we keep on talking, just randomly
shutou give me a ding? Can you give me a ding?
Not that I'm making you be a bell, but it'd
be good if you can give me a ding. I'd
be like I got one ding? Yeah, just say I
got one of them. Say Jake, what's one of your
favorite movies? You recite movies movie lines from I think
my most quotable, My most quotable line is from The Ringer. Yeah,

(09:46):
I don't know that. Do I know? The Johnny Knox
fviel uh? He tries to rig the Special Olympics. Okay,
got you know what I gotta tell you. I forgive
me man, I didn't see it. I did not see
the movie. Well, I didn't see that one. I don't
think you need to apologize for not seeing it because
I don't think a lot of people. She's like a pusher, Katie,

(10:07):
like a drug pusher. This is great. So okay, besides
ring is there another movie that you might know? What's
the line from The Ringer? And this guy gets caught
with all the people then he's not supposed to be
taking out right now and he he says, She's like,
where where were you guys, and he's like, I just
took him out for some ice cream. And then somebody goes,
when the fund did we get ice cream? And I

(10:28):
quote that all the time, and people are always so
confused because a lot of people haven't seen the movie.
There you got one? Do you a dingding? Yes? We're
going shopping. What about you, Greg Ta? What's your movie
that you love to? I'm gonna date myself, I really am.
But you know my favorite, I mean, I love you know,
so many action ones in Fast and Furious movies and whatnot,

(10:48):
but the Top Gun has always been just an absolute
favorite of mine. You know, you always go back to that.
It's just it's got so many memories and me, you know,
it was the first time that Trish and I really
hooked up when we watched that, maybe like during or
after during the movie. Okay, and then I know it's
serious because he goes, we made love love? What scene

(11:10):
did you make love to? It was? It was you know,
there is this there is a slow scene in it,
and I think where was the scene? I'm going to
say that it was give me a thing. Yes, Okay,
we only carry in size one, three and five. You
can try sears. That's every time a look at the funniest.

(11:32):
This is great resume and your star movie Mean Girls,
I'm gonna watch Top Gun thinking about great teammaking. I'm
going to hear your quoting Mean Girls as I'm watching
Top Gun. I will say, though, of course I knew
that there's that that's very very sensual scene and Top Gun.
I tried to make the move before. I'm sorry after

(11:53):
after no no, no, oh wait, yes it was. That's
when it was two men shirtless. That's you know. It
was though, because I didn't want us to hooking up. Well,
I don't want to be like so cliche and hook
up during the scene where they're hooking up, So I
waited till after that, and then I said, were you
at Homer in the movie theater? I was in my apartment.
I was living out in Long Island the time, and
I'm like, I'm like in the basement, it's time. Have

(12:14):
you ever made I have not, um No, I've never.
You looked Trich in the eye and said it's time,
and she was like, yes, yes, I'm going to kiss
you now. But you know what when you when you're
first dating, you know you know where the relationship is going.
If you haven't hooked up already and you've been together
for a while, you know, it's kind of like leading there.

(12:35):
So all of a sudden, look, it's Saturday night. We
we just got some food and now we're gonna write
the movie. And we're like, you know, what's happening? No,
I think pizza, you know, I'm not even sure what
we had to eat that Tian when we dated. There
was a lot of Italian going on, a lot of
Talian food. Like she was like, this is who I am.

(12:56):
We eat this all time, you know, and so whatever,
I don't know, it's time you were Rudy, Rudy, Rudy.
We're we're gonna go out. I'm gonna run with the boys.
We're gonna get them. We're gonna run one and keep
on going, gonna run, run, run, run run. We're not
gonna stop until we crossed that goal line. Impressive. This

(13:18):
is Dean, they say, is good. That's great. Rudy better
than them. Rudy is quiet. I want to tell your
Rudy say the movie no wonder why you made love
doing topics After the movie. I wanted to sing the movie,
oh my god, pass me the meat balls. It's time.

(13:39):
I'm gonna start saying this time now, and you're are
time out. Wait, I want to explain what Rudy is.
I want to get control of the room again. Gonna
let me say the line. I'm gonna forget it. This
is where the whole entire podcast is going off tracks.
Right now, we're doing really well and now it's going
over the place. Let her say ahead. One time she
punched me in the face. It was awesome, good right now,

(14:00):
what is Rudy? Go ahead? So Rudy is a great movie,
true story about a guy that really wanted to go
to UM and Notre Dame. Story. Yeah, right, And he
finally passed the exam and he goes there and then
he tries out for the team and all the you
know every yeah, they're all got scholar short and he
makes the team as a walk on and he's the
shortest guy that teams like five four And at the

(14:20):
very end of the season and the senior year, last game,
with like ninety seconds left, they finally put him in
the stadium story to ruin the whole game. Towards the
end of his career, everyone knows he he was promised
to get into play a game. Never did. His parents
are there, now, his best friend, and all of a sudden,

(14:42):
they start slow clapping Rudy, the coaches, Rudy get in
there and there you go. We hope that you guys
enjoyed today minute more DN show. Yeah, there you go.

(15:04):
Are this all mine? M
