Speaker 1 (00:02):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast?
Firm Elvis Presents Minute Morning Show, what would you talk
about on your podcast? You know it's at the opening
of every fifteen minute morning show podcast. It's me saying,
what would you talk about on your podcast? It seems
(00:26):
like we could re record that and make it seamless. Well,
you have to say podcast on the main show in
a sentence so they can pull that clip and then
use it. The only reason that's in there is that
they look for anything had podcast in it, and they
stuck that in. I don't I don't know what that means.
It means if tomorrow's show on Tuesday show, if you say, God,
I love I love a good podcast, then Josh will
take that audio and stick it in the opener for
this thing. But the only reason that's in there now
(00:48):
that what would you talk about on your podcast is
that that's the only time you've ever said podcast up
until that point, and he took that and stuck that
in there. Remind me on the next big show I
say something about a podcast, we can review the opening.
So around the around the Hey, what we go is
there's Bethany with her new hair color. We've got to
talk about that on today's podcast. They're Scary. There's Dave Brody,
there's Great Tea, the frat Boy, and there there's there's
(01:12):
there's Garrett, and there's Danielle and then a straight and
as like just kind of satelliting around and he's in
and out. Well, let's get going. Let's start with Bethany's
hair color. Yes, I saw you post this last night. Yes,
I saw the preparation leading up to it, with all
the all the bowls of it looked like fruit loop colors.
You know what it reminds me of is that scene
(01:35):
in the movie Hook when the Lost Boys pretend to
have food and then the food becomes real and it
turns into gloves of brightly colored stuff. Right, that's what
That's what it looked like. You can see that on
Instagram at ms Miss Bethany Bethany Watson. Right. I love
that you got the miss plot right, but couldn't remember
the beth watch a Friday. That's a Friday. It's Friday,
(01:56):
and I'm fried I every day. But then after you
see the picture of the actual outcome the hair, I
saw it, I went, oh, I love that. It's it's fantastic. Thanks.
I did it because I dyed my hair pink about
four years ago. And then my younger sister was going
through old pictures and she saw that picture. And my
sister is like the smartest person I know, and so
(02:19):
even though she's younger than me, she I basically do
whatever she tells me to do. And so she said,
you know, you should go back to your natural hair
color pink. And I'm like, okay, and so I did,
and that that's the story behind the story. It look
looks fantastic. So check it out. What do you think
about her hair color, Danielle, I told her yesterday, Actually
I saw it right before I went to bed last night.
It's like I got to say when I went to bed,
(02:40):
it looks. It looks I love it. Danielle was sworn
to secrecy because she knew I was going pink. Yeah,
she wasn't allowed to tell you. I don't tell anyone
is a surprise. Let's go around the room and get
your honest opinion. If you have a talk about me,
If you have a problem with it, let's confront her now.
Because I I've for one, I honestly love it. It's
just fantastic. Yes, Gary. So normally I don't like the
(03:02):
color pink on hair for people, but it does work
for some, and it works for our friend Dina who
does kiss and makeup, right, And I do think you
wear it well, Bethany. Okay, there you go. I do
like it. Yes, uh, let's see. Let's go to day Brody.
I loved the way he said that I don't like
the color pink on hair. What do you just say,
pink hair? No, he said, the color pink on hair
(03:22):
on No, he said, on people. So I'm gonna need
your help afterwards. I love it, but I'm gonna need
your advice on how to handle it when you see
someone with a hair cut or a color that you hate,
because I'm about to have that in my life. Let's
come back to that. I'm gonna kip grat Tea because
I think I know his answer. I think it's gonna
(03:43):
be different. Let's go to Garrett. Garrett, what do you
think of Bethany's hair? I love it. I love anyone
that can go outside the norm and do something different
and pull it off all right. And Daniel already said, yes,
it's straight and eate. But we'll look at me with
my hair, Well, what about it? I had the bravery
to do it myself, but you were going you did
it because you wanted to be Colonel sandersfired did but
(04:06):
then I died it again. I like it, Yeah, I
died it again. It was what did you call it
pewter blonde or something like that, Well, it's it's more
of a blonde blonde now. It's very blond now. But
I love it. What do you think of miss Bethany's hair?
I gotta tell you, I I liked it from the
date of the minute I saw it. I thought you
would hate. Jada colored her hair pink a while ago
(04:27):
as well. Um so I love that. I like that
Bethany does things that she wants to do and that's
who she is. I think it's terrific. I think everybody
should more of those things. Do what you want to do,
because a couple of years ago, when it was a
couple of summers ago, when I went blonde, everyone had
an opinion like you you collect ship. I did not
say that you look a fucking drug atic like that
(04:50):
was from my boyfriend. I love the people just do
different things for whatever it is. I love it. I
will say this though. I don't like when people go
silver for no reason. I mean, just like I'm just
like that platinum, like a grayish. Bethany did that six
months ago. I didn't like that, and I tried to
do that, and that's what I wanted to make. You
know what. It's a tough thing to actually pull off,
(05:11):
because for me it went green. But that's why I
bought a silver wig. Big have you ever won a
wig to to to work? And we didn't know it? No? No, no,
because the wig that I have, I'm gonna start pulling
your hair every morning. It looks realistic if you have
a hat on, but it doesn't. But the seam isn't right.
(05:31):
It's not high quality. So we don't have money like
Kim kar dashing right, have a question and get this
kind of thing her. So, Bethany, it took six hours,
you said, right, I have trouble talking to one person
for six hours straight. What do you do? You have
that awkward silence? The nice thing is that, like I
have such a good relationship with Dina that I can
go silent if I need to, like just be quiet,
(05:52):
and she'll just go about do my hair. She'll talk
to other people in the salon. I slept twice for
probably forty minutes each while like it's processing, because we
had to lift the color up to a white before
we could diet pink. So that's hours. I will tell
you this. And for anyone who's never had their hair colored,
and most guys in this room anyway, they're never going
to have it done except for straight night. Uh. The
(06:14):
upkeep is time consuming. First, I mean every time I
sat in the first time I sat in the chair
took three hours. The second time I sat in the
chair to to lift it took two hours. The next
time was three hours because everything changes, the chemicals changed,
they don't get the recipes right. It's very time concerned.
When you go in, your roots needs something different than
(06:35):
the rest of your hair so that it matches, and
they have to sit there for the roots. And then
in twenty minutes of this, it's like, oh gosh. And
then Dina does another treatment on top of everything too,
called plex to make sure it doesn't fry your hair.
So that's another like five ten minutes on top of everything.
You could have binged a whole Netflix series for real,
But so you have to sort of plan your entire
day around it, and you have to do it when
(06:56):
you're ready to do it, because it is kind of
an endurance thing. So it's it to go to someone
you trust because then you can fall asleep and trust
that they're not gonna That's why I do the show
with you, guys, every money. I trust you. I sleep
during the entire Yeah, I'd like to know. Why is
it that you think that Nate would be the only
guy in the room to dye his hair like you
would like you can't picture me dying mine? No, I
(07:18):
don't see. I think if anyone else would be next
to dye his hair, it would be Garrett great team
doesn't have hair. Dave Boody would never dye his hair.
Dye some of my hair clear. But when I did
have hair, I got it firmed and then I had
it frosted. Remember that that's why your hair fell out.
You know what Scary's doing right now, So you know
what Scary do it? I dare you to dye your hair.
I don't know if I could do that, what color
would I go. It's an individual thing, that's the whole point.
(07:40):
I kind of color shut up, not look good as
a blode. You would not look good as a blonde.
Now you can't picture, and neither would. I have to
dye the eyebrow too. But wait a minute, the eyebrow.
Back to Brodie. You said you're about to have a
conversation with someone about how you don't like their hair. Well,
I don't know yet, and I just want to be prepared.
(08:02):
And what you first expert advice? Why is someone asking
if you like it or not? Well, so, I have,
as you know, three daughters. My middle daughter has really
long hair, and you guys know, I'm very partial long hair.
I've given Danielle crap about it for years. Keep your
hair long. My middle daughter, who does gymnastics, she made
her hair a little longer than shoulder length and it's
cute on heart, but it was longer. I kind of
liked it better. My oldest daughter, who was kind of
(08:22):
a rebel, she said, oh, I was reading Vogue and
they released their new hairstyles on what's going to be trendy?
And I said, oh, okay, sure, great. Now my wife
says it's about them, it's not about you. So I'm trying, Yes,
I'm trying to get better at encouragement. She so I said, whoa,
what are you gonna do? She's well, I may dye
my hair blonde, which is her original color. What that's great?
(08:43):
And said, yeah, so which hair caut are you gonna get?
It's just well, there's one way you shave one half
of your head and then the hair flips over. I
don't know how I feel about that, and I have
to go, oh, it looks great. How old is shed?
Being a parent? There are a lot of things that
(09:04):
are worth fighting about hair. It's not one of those battles.
Not going to fight over it. Just I want you
guys to give me advice on how I hair. Is
one of those battles where I say, you like it
makes you happy, go right ahead, do whatever you want.
But I can't. If Bethany said what do you think
of my hair? And I say, oh, if it makes
you happy, Bethany, it's great, I have to say I
(09:25):
like it. So you never know. You don't you lie
to your children, your children, Bethany, My children wouldn't. I
wouldn't want my parents to lie to me, especially my dad.
I wouldn't want them to lie to me. I think
having been a theater major and so going to all
of my friends shows and Brodie has like a comic.
You know this too. When you go to your friends
shows and the show is terrible, you have to find
(09:46):
something nice to say because they're going to say, how
what did you think of it? So it's about it's
about a just like raising your daughter. You're always gonna
be honest with them. So if you hate it, you
hate it. But also saying like, you know what, that
took a lot of guts. I'm really proud of you.
You decided to do something that like that, that you
know risky. Good for you. I'm proud that you decided
to make a bull choice. But Dad, that doesn't tell
(10:07):
me do you like it or not. I'll be honest.
I loved your hair before, but I think this will
grow on me. Where's the line? Where's the line that
you draw? Is it right in the middle of her head?
Piercings and tattoos have to you have to like those two.
But Daniel brought up a good point when when choosing
your arguments with your kid, because we'll never be parents,
(10:28):
it will never know when you choose your arguments with
your kids, where do you draw the line? I guess
it's an individual things. Individual thing. I mean for me, honestly,
ear piercings, tattoos probably wouldn't be argument worth either. It
be as long as they were of an age you
have both of those, as long as yes, but as
long as they were at an age where you know,
(10:49):
I felt like it was okay. How is your oldest
son now? What if he said he wanted to get
a Prince Albert? Okay, see I found one at him.
But like nowadays nowadays, for me right now, uh, social
media is worth an argument because my son is twelve.
(11:09):
He's asked for Instagram, A lot of his friends have
all that crap, and I don't feel he needs it.
He doesn't go back and forth with me and argue
about it and whatever. It's usually like okay, Mom, I
get it you. I tell him he can use mine
he wants to follow ever he wants to follow, follow
my blah blah blah blah um. It hasn't been a
crazy argument yet, but I just don't feel he needs
to have it. We have taken many courses at school
(11:32):
saying keep them off of social as long as you
possibly can because of the dangers of it. Nowadays, get
it and and so to me, that's I don't know
about psychology when it comes to kids or anyone. But
if I know that my mom and dad are cool
and they encourage me to grow my hair long like
he has done, and they would not put a stop
(11:53):
sign up if I wanted a pierce my ear or
you know, get a tattoo. But they're that serious about
social media. To me, that tells me they're putting emphasis
on social media, then maybe there is a reason to
listen to them. If you said no to everything, I
can see how they could be a little rebellious. Yes, no,
he goes the same in relationships to like, you know
when to choose and pick your fights. I mean something
(12:14):
about hair. You're not going to fight with your significant
other over unless you're really passionate about it. And that's
the one thing that you know that is going to
bother you. And hair grows back, that's always No, it
doesn't do it, but your daughters will. Elvis, do you
mean it's a little personal? What do you think in
(12:34):
your relationship? The line is because like your partner didn't
love your blonde hair, but it didn't end your relationship.
It wasn't like I won't do this because I know
you hated that much. Do you know where that line
would be? I don't know. Oh fun, I don't know
find Alex. So what Alex and what he will tolerate
that I can do, and vice versa. Like if he
decided he wanted to shave his head, I'd be fine
(12:56):
with it. If he decided he wanted to get a
full chest, play a tattoo of a phoenix rising from
the ash, if he wants to do it, I'm all for.
If he decided he wanted to put a tattoo of
his of your face on his back. Uh hey, if
he wants to do wanted to marry a woman, we
found a line marry a man or a woman, marry anyone.
(13:19):
I would have a problem with that. Okay, Yeah, you're wow.
It's it's feel kind of weird. It's worth trying to
find that line because I don't this is what's going
to cause a fight at the dinner. Is obviously a line,
but like, but what other line? Yeah? Is there? I
don't know? If we smoking is a lot, Like I
can't date him if he smokes? Yeah, and he won't. Yeah, alright, good, Okay,
(13:41):
so we have a line there there's a line. It's
nice to find, like where they all are? I know,
but you know, the smoking, and that's like a typical
thing that you it's it's it's people don't waiver on that.
But but the other one, the other ones, we never
talked about. I wonder, I don't know. I wouldn't be
able to to be with some who was of a
different political view than I was. But that's not everyone's line,
(14:03):
right See, I am I could never state date scary
because I'm a mouth chewer, Like if you chew with
your mouth open like that just gets me like that
just grinds my gears inside where I just go crazy.
So scary and I would never work out. I'm sorry.
Here's a couple, we're best friends. You're such a defeatus.
(14:24):
I'm going head of a sexual Gary. I feel like
you don't have a line. I don't have a line
because I'm easy going. I didn't care. Oh there's a
line there, we'll find it. Maybe this is our our
goal defined everyone has a line. If she did massive
amounts of heroin, oh I would have to take her
to rehab. How cool was the club that she was
doing it in? Really cool? Yet with the needles. Yes,
(14:51):
so drugs are aligned like hard drugs. Friends Morning Show,
