(01:04):
you talk about on your on your podcast represents show?
And we sit down to do this On Monday, December eleventh,
I got audited by the I R S. And I

(01:25):
have to pay that bill today. Oh sorry, you see
now I feel like the asshole, even though I'm just
telling you, you know, just the date, but now I
reminded you of a very bad date. The thing is
that sex is that like I did it correctly. I
thought I did it all correctly. I wasn't trying to
screw the government out of anything, but I guess I
just messed something up. What I learned a long time ago,

(01:47):
if someone pays you for doing something, they're going to
report it. Yeah, you can forget about it, like I've
totally I forget about Sometimes you get paid like twenty
five dollars for doing whatever, and then you get audited
by the government because you didn't pay tax on And
I am so like, I have a whole folder set
up for my taxes. I save all of my receipts.

(02:07):
I save all of my like everything I save, like
I'm obsessive about it. So I was I felt like
a personal failure. Well good, you know what. You're gonna
bridge that deficit gap, you know what I'm trying and
send it today. Today's today. Make sure your post market. Hey, so,
welcome to the show. You know what's kind of cool
is we are coming off a Z one hundred jingle
ball weekend here in New York City at the Garden.

(02:29):
We all gathered Friday night, and in my opinion and
feel free to dispute if you wish, the best jingle
ball we've ever done. Oh my god, it's so much fun.
I think about it. I think because they filmed everything
in l A this year, and normally they filmed it
in New York and so it was so much more relaxed.
That was like a more personal New York centric experience. Yeah,

(02:50):
and they you know, like normally they don't let us
touch the stage because they don't want us on TV.
But this year, like they didn't care. So we got
to do stage announcements and we got like actually see
the audience and interact with people. It was really really fun.
It was awesome. Yeah, it was great. What do you think, Danielle?
I love. My favorite moment was logic and watching him
backstage and how he interacts with people and how he

(03:13):
he cares, and he wanted to make sure he thanked
every single person that was working on the interview, the
guy who was doing the cameras, the sound person, everyone,
And then before he left, he even said, Hey, how
am I leaving? Because I want to make sure I
can get back to everybody to say thank you again
before I leave. That's what he does, I mean, and
he says it out loud. He said, no, no no, no,
I'm not leaving until I say hello to everyone and

(03:33):
the people who are there to you know, take him
from point A to point B too, point SI there, Like,
come on, we gotta go. He's like, no, I'm gonna
say hi to everyone. Love. You know. I was fascinated
by Ed Sheeran's dedication. Um he opened the show at
seven o'clock and then four and a half hours later,
he just marches on stage to do his one verse
with Taylor Swift in her song Endgame when she's closed

(03:54):
the show. I'm like, oh my god, what did Ed
shearon do? All these hours, like where was he and
why did Garrett knows that he did? I ran into
Ed as he was going from his dressing room to
Taylor Swift dressing room with a half bottle of patron.
We gotta and I have to find incentive to keep
him there. And it's interesting because there's a lot of
people that were not familiar with that are just hanging

(04:14):
out backstage. So Edge here and literally has to go
about two doors from his dressing room to Taylor Swift.
He got stopped three times with a bottle of betrone
in his hands. Up, Hey, I met you four months
ago backstage and ed very nice. Um, oh, well, nice
to see you again, and I gotta get going. And
but it was it was interesting to see that go down. Well,
there were some people at the at the concert. We

(04:35):
didn't know that we're there because apparently Sean Paul or
Snoop Dogg was hanging out backstage because it smelled like
pot huge people were crowding around some of the dressing
rooms in the hallway just to get second hand, but
nobody knew who exactly it was. How do you know
that wasn't Sabrina Carpenter, not my Sabrina By the way,
Sabrina Carpenter is one of the sweetest people. She saw

(04:59):
me and a couple of people like twenty feet away
not paying it. She's like, hey, hi, Like she came
running over. It's like, I you know, so I may
have screeched and you were sorry about That's okay anyway,
couldn't have been nicer. Everyone was nice, But you're talking
about Logic. My daughters have been fortunate enough to meet
a lot of the people that they look up to
thanks to my job here. But my my middle daughter
got to meet Logic. That's all she wanted to do. That.

(05:20):
She was meet Logic, and I've never seen her react
like that to anybody. I love hearing that. I mean
to know that people are so into Logic. His lyrics,
his vibe, his his spirit is important because if you
listen to his album, it's all about positivity, it's all
about understanding other people. He really is just an unbelievable
artist for kids to look up to. She her hands

(05:42):
were shaking. I've never seen her like that. She's met everybody.
And he said, what's wrong. She's I'm I'm a little nervous.
He said, I'm Bobby, so nice to meet you, and
she's like, you're You're fantastic. But she but not just
his music. She loves his words, his message, and it
was so important to meet him. And I was so
I knew he was nice, but it was nice that
now she knows how nice he is. That's so awesome.

(06:04):
And we also what you know what else we learned that, um,
Halsey really likes bagels and then when she comes back
to New York, one of her favorite things to do
is go to her local bagel place and have a
bagel with the lushmir on there like that. Daniel, how
does Halsey? How does she do her hair like that? Someone?
I mean the braids? You mean, yeah, I know somebody
did it well. I mean there's extensions in there. Obviously

(06:26):
those are extensions. It must take a long time get
that done. Braid's like that take a long time. So
I've got to say this about what we observed this
year backstage at jingle Ball here in New York at
the Garden. In my opinion, I don't know if you
agree or not. I'm gonna find out in a second.

(06:46):
The artists are getting nicer. They stop down, talk about life,
they talk about families and what they're doing for the holidays.
They ask you what you're doing for the holidays ten
years ago, like it was a friend and I don't
know what's going on. We have a whole new stable
of artists who are really cool. But the artists are

(07:08):
more transparent these days. They're more they're more honest about
their music, and those are the people that are rising
to fame. This new crop of artists. The artists of
today absolutely uh come from a different mindset, whereas the
manufactured artist of twenty years ago, thirty years ago, the
artist that was made by the record label, you know,
uh like who I'm not naming names, but you know,

(07:30):
think of anyone in an interesting way of putting it.
That's how I that's how I view it, and I
think that's probably part of it. I think it is.
I wonder if it's because of social media. But they're
so used to talking to their fans and talking to
and interacting with each other on social media that you
see them who they're friends with, who they follow, and
they're more human because you can just talk to them now.
But also at any moment, somebody could capture them being

(07:51):
nasty on social media and post it, so maybe they're
going extra, you know, out of their way, a little
extra to be nice, so that that's not so being
a bit. I was talking to Gregg's family backstage, his
wife and his two daughters were there, and we were
just walking and talking and Pete Wentz was come in
the opposite way. He stopped, put his hand out and goes, hey,

(08:12):
what's going on? How are you? And then he goes
who is this? So I introduced him and I said, hey, girls,
this is Pete Wentz from Fallout Boy. Uh. He actually
was on your dad's back for a piggyback ride a
few years ago. And he goes, very nice to meet you,
and he goes, can I take a picture with you?
As opposed to the girls going it's nothing like it
used to be, right, Bethany, Yeah, it's true, And I've

(08:32):
said this before on the air. I think that it's
because partly also because it is so easy to find
new talent, because everybody was good as posting their videos
on YouTube, and so if you, as an artist, are
not easy to work with or not fun to have around,
it's really easy to find someone else who will be
just as good as you are. And Charlie poof Charlie.

(08:52):
You know, we've been friends with him since the very
beginning of his career and we still are. He's and
he just we just have conversations about whatever. But Charlie Pooth,
he looks like his mom said, hey, Charlie, wake up,
you gotta get And then and then he runs out
the door and goes to jingle Ball and doesn't comb
his hair. But I love his hair like that. I

(09:13):
think it looks so good on him. Look, no, no,
I would not expect to see him. I couldn't understand
Charlie Pooth any other way. He looks like he rolls
in and then he rolls right back out. No, seriously, Charlie,
wake up. At the Philly jingle Ball, I remember he
We saw him as he entered the building and he's
wearing this torn Mega Death T shirt. His hair is
a mess, his pants are like half on, and I'm like, boy,

(09:35):
he's he's gotta hurry up and get changed. Change. He
goes out on stage in that outfit. That's it. And
then we see him in the parking lot afterwards. You
might want to put a coat on, Okay, So I'm
glad you brought that up because look at all the trouble.
Danielle bet to me, look look at all the trouble
we go through to like pick out the perfect outfit whatever,

(09:58):
And Charlie Booth shows up. He just rolled out of
bed rolls into the garden. To be honest, sometimes I
think a pair of leather pants and a T shirts
the way to go to be honest. Logic. Logic was
wearing an old Star Wars shirt. Yeah, and a Jurassic
Park baseball cab and I wife gave him jelly. Are
we overthinking this? I think so, Yeah, because I love it.
This is really our only time to really dress it up. Yeah.

(10:20):
But I feel most comfortable if I was wearing pants
and a and a cute top. I'd rather not wearing
dress if I don't have to. I feel more comfortable
in gold, LeMay, in my gold y you and DJ
whatever and who else was wearing. There was a lot
of gold. You have like a band going on there
next next year, if I wear gold, I'm gonna get
my gold teeth, my gold tooth, just one though not

(10:41):
the whole thing. It was interesting. It was interesting just
to watch our favorite artist who are just so easy
to hang with just put on a riped shirt and
go to work another night at the Garden. I loved it.
It was unbelievable night. So now we're looking forward to
next Sunday night for the Y one jingle Ball in
South Florida at BB and T Center in Sunrise. I'm

(11:02):
rethinking what I'm wearing? Are you do? Leather pants and
a T shirt? You gotta rip it? Oh yeah, let's
get together with a knife before the show. Just ripped
the pill out of each other's clothes, ripped her pants
while performing on stage. I'll tell well, I'll tell you
it's before she went on stage, we were backstage as
she was about to be introduced, So Sabrina Carpenter and
I were supposed to go out and introduce comedic Caveo

(11:23):
she had. She was standing with her hands on her kneecaps,
bending over and there was a lady behind her sewing
her butt. And she looks over to Sabrina Carpenter in
me and says she's sewing up but hole, you know,
the hole in my butt. We're like, I mean in
your pants? Yeah, the hole in my pants, pant and butt.

(11:45):
So she went on the stage and what did she do.
She told the world, you know what happened to you all,
you know what happened to me. I just got a
little hole in my butt, and everyone's like happy. Jessica
Simpson had that happened too when she went back on
on Jingle Bowl stage, and this is when she was
with Nick and they were singing together, and she's like,
I'd sprip my pants. We got some tight pants going
my pants the other day. Yeah, you should always have

(12:06):
a seamstress and tell everyone backstage, Hey, she's I snapped
my fingers. My seamstress came running as her name is. Yeah,
I didn't know that. We we have, you know, backstage
at jingle Ball. It's this world that a lot of
people don't know about. We do have seams, seamstresses, and seamsters.

(12:28):
Steam room, whether there's a steamer, is that, what is that?
What the support rooms where there was a room female's that? Yeah,
it's whatever you need for your wardrobe or whatever. I
got a little male support when I was over there.
Do you want to explain that to us? They're just like, hey,
you're a great guy. Verbal support. Other way. I took

(12:48):
the video of the night, which I'm very excited about
what's the video of the night. I was just taking
backstage video and stuff and uh, we were backstage ready
to go out on the stage and I was just
filming everybody and then Demi Vato ran off the stage
and hugged you, and that went global. People were all
over every Demi Lavado site. You've got a nice litt
hug from Demiva. She kissed me before Sam was standing
there having a conversation with you. In the moment, reaches

(13:11):
right over Sam to grab you, and Sam's face is like,
what just happened? Here just happened. And someone was fixing
her hair as she was hugging you, which was pretty cool. Yeah,
it was. It was just a great night. And you
know what, um look, it's we get up every morning,
we do the show from six to ten am, and
we do things until eleven or twelve or whatever. I mean,
we have some days more full days than others, and
when Friday night comes, that's when we usually just go

(13:33):
home and just crash. But this week we had to
do a couple of shots of espresso and get all
down to the garden and I'm so glad we did.
What a great night it was. It was a great night.
I love what we do for a living, and it's
it's such a wonderful family reunion too. Like, I know
that anybody who works in the corporate office probably has
this experience where you email people in other corporate offices

(13:54):
across the country and you don't get to meet them,
and then some big work event happens and you're like,
you're the Arroll. I've been emailing from Pensacola for the
whole time. It's such a fun experience to get to
hang out with these people you don't see very often.
One quick story of the pre show. We have jingle
Bowl tickets to give away to people in the crowd,
and so Scary says, we're gonna pick the coolest sign

(14:15):
in Each of us had a pair of tickets, so
I pick out a sign had a lot of puns
in it, like song titles in it. So I read
the girl's sign on like that is a fantastic sign
that is, and I'm holding the tickets. I'm ready to
give him to her, And Daniel says, I like that
sign that says logic takes the tickets out of my hand.
I gives him some and make the other girl cry.
Original girls what I do. Then I went over and

(14:36):
I got her tickets and brought them over to her,
and Brody took full credit for giving them to her.
Like that sign And yeah, the signs are they're getting
very competitive at the pre show. They used to be
like two or three signs. Now like twenty five signs
in there. They have like ornaments and things on them
that light up, that rotate. They have like full working

(14:57):
it's crazy sensors to sign. See the one with everyone's face.
I saw it with Elvis and elf el So one
of the bad things about going to do this long, long,
full day on Friday. Then we dress it up for
the show. When it's over, you know, I want to
I'm like, I'm not ready to go home and take

(15:17):
this stuff off. I'm not gonna dress like this every day.
I want to go party. Yeah, where'd you go? We
went out on the town. We looked for parties. We
ended up going to the after premiere party for the
new Hugh Jackman movie. Dying to see that movie. Yes,
And one of the characters, the Bearded Lady, is played
by Kiala Settle, who we met at Elsie Fest. She

(15:39):
was there. She could not have been more fun. And then, uh,
a lot of the characters were there, except for of course,
you know Hugh Jackman. Yeah, well he's busy, he's but
I didn't want to go home when you dressed up.
You want to stay out all night. I know, I
feel like you're making looking good. Your bronswer was on point.
After that, I went home and put on my stretchy shorts.
