Speaker 1 (00:03):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast
Phone Presents show. It's the Friday pre irma podcast. Yeah,
I guess we we have right now. Yeah, this is
the last podcast broadcast before it hits. Yeah, don't pull

(00:25):
the plug, Nate, I'm not pulling the plug. You have
that look do you know that? Wild? Yeah? Yeah, don't
do it? All right, I won't do it. I really
wish you know. I want to put a pile in
of this production we have, which is fifteen minutes exactly,
and have a the Nate version which is only seven minute.
I think I might do that for next time. By
the way, when you volunteered it, Look, I got something
for today, already pulled it out. It's Friday eleven weekends.

(00:53):
Guy's gonna pull the plug on the DAF the podcast.
But used to Hey guys, hey guys, if I pulled
the plug, you'd be happy. Be happy, don't lie, don't happy.
But I know that if my favorite podcasts did that,
I'd be pah. When my favorite podcast is a day
late uploading, I'm like, what the hell you'll be happy to? Podcast?

(01:14):
Is up? Podcast? Wait? Wait? What? I listened to the
Brooklyn Boys podcast for the first time yesterday. I loved it.
What do they talked about? What did they talk about?
Because that's not my favorite so you've never heard it,
I haven't. What do they talk about talk They have
little segments like they do jokes that were rejected like that,

(01:37):
so jokes that Brodie wrote that were rejected and they read.
It's very funny. They Brodie complains about something at some point,
but it's very funny. It's not annoying. They are fighting
over whether or not they should announce birthdays. Um it's
and then yeah, and the listeners and the birthday lists
in like self submitted lists, the entire list of our listeners,

(01:58):
and they want us to do the they listen, they
want scared to do it. I want no part of
it on our podcast also, and then they also talked
behind like stuff that goes on behind the scenes in
our office and stuff that we're working like. So it's
so it's kind of like a view behind the scenes
of what goes on. And then we pull people in
if we need them to back up one of our stories.
Second favorite podcast, can I if I may indulge in, Wow,

(02:22):
this is really it was a joke. I don't need
to hijack your moment here, cut this thing short, big
plans not. I know you have a big topic coming
up in a minute here, but I wanted to. I
just wanted to call everyone's attention to this. This is fascinating.

(02:43):
I got this text message from Bethany yesterday and she wrote,
if I can only find it, I listen to the podcast.
It was a whole straight it was between me and
Brody and her, and I can't find it anymore, So
delete it, you assholes. I don't delete texts. They're all
on here. I correct his grammar thought a sentence with

(03:05):
me and Bethany, she writes, I'm obsessed with your podcast.
Can I please be a guest? Despite not being from Brooklyn?
And I said fuck yes, And then I'm like, are
you serious? And she writes yes, and then Brodie goes, huh,
you've heard it? You've heard it? No, really, and then
she says it's so listenable. I listen if I wait, wait, wait, wait,

(03:25):
that is the biggest complimence I've heard. Hey, I enjoyed
your meal. It was edible. Exactly what was Bethany? Can?
She continues, I listen if I didn't work with you guys,
you compliment each other so well, more chill and Brodie

(03:46):
is more anxious. It's funny, and I wrote, oh wow,
thank you. That's so. I have a question. Bethany's text
message read the one about the coworker thing again. It's
so listenable. If I listened if I was if I
didn't work with you? Okay, did you mean if I
didn't work here, I would listen? What did you mean?
I would listen even if I didn't work here, even

(04:06):
if I didn't work, because it sounded like you meant, well,
if I didn't work, head listen to it. But since
I do, I don't have to because I hear you
rant all the time, Brodie, I don't need extra ranks.
Even if I didn't, even if I didn't know you guys,
I would listen to it. Like that conference call that
we had to be on. It's not like a choice.
This one is kind of her choice. Not if you

(04:29):
missed our conversation yesterday about the conference to it was
the biggest classed at twelve o'clock. It didn't actually start
until twelve fifteen. They made everybody hang up and recall
back in because the thing kept dinging, and then people
continued joining the conference call for forty five minutes, and
all you would hear is people joining, and it would

(04:50):
ding to announcing their presence. And then every once in
a while, someone would think they had to say their
name when they joined, so they'd be giving the presentation
and then you would hear if oh hi, um, so
I'm on the screen author ding have their microphone muted.

(05:12):
I don't understand, I think, So, okay, I'm gonna tell
you something that I'm gonna tell you something to watch
on YouTube is the conference called the phone conference call
in a conference room. So there's this comedy group that
does a phone conference call in a conference room and
it has this guy where he's sitting in his chair,
you know, that person that always drops the phone always drops.

(05:34):
So he's sitting there and all of a sudden he disappears,
and then you see him walk back in the room,
like the door opens, like, hey guys, sorry, my phone drop.
And then you see that person that that is looking
at their watch and they see that there's like a
happy hour or something goes oh yeah, bad self service,
and he's closing up his computer and like trying to
sneak out of the room. It is the funniest thing.

(05:55):
Go to YouTube and search conference call conference called bit
on the Big Show yesterday, at least seven people texted
in what you just described. And I have to say,
it's really funny? Is it? Is it watchable? Much like
your podcast? If I didn't work here, I would watch
Can we just go back that that is barely a compliment?

(06:17):
Bethany clicked. If I was in a full body cast
and I couldn't tell the dust to turn it off,
I would blink twice. She was enough to give it
a listen. If I was shocked and I told you that,
I said, Bethany, I'm shocked and flattered and honored at
the same time. And then I texted back, who's holding

(06:38):
Bethany's Let's play it out so scary read the text
messages as if you were Bethany. Can you get how
about this? You all pull up the text conversation and
you re enact this conversation because I want to hear
Bethany's take on her own text. Hold okay, because I'm
sure it sounded different when Bethany actually said it out
loud in her head. Okay, I gotta find one. So

(06:59):
it's Star said five o'clock PM yesterday Afternoon with Bethany.
My phone says, five oh one, I got pull up
your damn script. I'm working on it all right, ding,
okay ready, I'm obsessed with your podcast. Can I please

(07:22):
be a guest? Despite not being from Brooklyn? Fuck? Yes?
Are you serious? Yes? This is your line? Oh? I wrote? Um,
huh huh you've heard it? No? Really, it's so listenable.
I listen if I didn't work with you guys, you
compliment each other. Well, Scary is more chill, Brody is

(07:43):
more anxious. It's funny. Oh wow, thank you, Bethany. That's
such a sweet thing to say. Who's holding Bethany's phone?
Give it back to her? Elo exactly that? Which one
did you listen to? I I'm listening to the most
recent Gonna Work My Way Back. I'm both flattered and honored.

(08:05):
Both Nate and Elvis trashed it on the fifteen Minute
podcast yesterday. I disagree with them. Wow, I'm flattered and shocked.
I guess that caller during yesterday's fifteen minute morning show
who loved our podcast? Help us win you over? I
got bored with my podcast and remembered yours, and I
love it. Put down the whiskey, but thank you. Today's

(08:27):
is long. I like the tangent. Elvis has never heard
any of my podcasts. He's just not into me or
his perception of my style. Ditto, he's only heard about
my podcast. I please stop you guys. Do you know
what this sounds like? I took film and video in college.
This is like a script of four year wrote a movie.

(08:49):
Let's shoot it. This is exactly what that sounds like.
You are my best friends. You are my best friends.
That is such a good podcast. Um. Then I wrote
it's frustrating eating and I'm sober, smiley face Brodie nice, Nice,
And I wrote, heart are all text conversations? Wait a minute,

(09:10):
you left? And then I texted Bethany what do you
think of Nate? And she wrote I hate him? Wait
she texted that to me. Can we go back to that? Yeah?
So this is like two or three weeks ago in
the show. So uh, Sam's birthday was happening, and I

(09:30):
had wanted to so long story short, we wanted to
arrange for Sam's mom to call it, and then as
the break started, Elvis all of a sudden decided he
wanted to do it. Right then and there and watching
the clock because I always do. I knew we were
running late. We had something else we had to get to,
so I didn't have a chance to get Sam's mom on.
So Bethany, who had set this up with Sam's mom

(09:52):
and who was texting Sam's mom up until that moment,
that moment, really excited to be on the show, had
been texting Sam's mom like you just said, And so
I couldn't get Sam's mom on the phone because we
had to take commercial. He did not communicate to me
at all. And as I was pointing to my wrist,
all right, this is where the fight starts. Again, this
is where the fight starts. Okay, don't even start. I

(10:16):
got a lot of pressure. I got a lot of
people coming in for a lot of things. So then
we go to commercial, and then I see the disdain,
the anger, the anguish on Bethany's face. And I like
this by saying that Nate is responsible for time keeping
and to make sure that everything stays on time. We're late.
It's his head on because he's always piste off that
were late, communicating to the team what is happening that

(10:39):
doesn't happen. So I'm gonna read. I'm gonna read. I'm
going to read the texts from that morning right from Bethany.
So Bethany at fourteen am, Sam's mom wants to call
in and wish her happy birthday on the air. Is
that possible? And I of course said yes, So she
sends me Sam's mom's contact information. Then the break happens
and we don't get Sam's mom. I look at Bethany

(11:01):
and she's typing furiously in her phone, angry, and then
I get this text I could kill Nate and then
hang on, he never called you? Did he? Question mar?
Question mark? Question mark? So then me seeing this and

(11:23):
seeing your typing furiously, I picked up my phone and go, um,
that's me than she's ever been. I looked up and
I said, I could kill you because at the point
you just got to own it absolutely, and I feel
like you were going to say something anyway. Yeah. Yeah.

(11:44):
I was really relieved that I had written something like
that and not something like you know. It's something like
secret that I knew. So what's worse? Talking behind someone's
back or texting behind someone's back the same. But I've
done that before, where I texted the person and I
realized it when and I I but to be honest,

(12:04):
in the end, it worked out because we actually sat
down and talked over our problems. Sometimes it's we became
We talked about this on the air. Is didn't Ozzy
Osborne do this? He sent an email to his White show.
He was sitting next to her on the couch. On
the couch, what was and he emailed his his mistress,
but he actually sent it to his wife next to her. Well,

(12:25):
I just got another text from somebody that didn't mean
to send it to me from Brody. Wow, Bethany really
was a dick. That's why Bethany didn't look over and
smile at me. A story you want to that for you?
You know what I was thinking about you when Yeah,
thats what happened. So because you have because you're so

(12:46):
fed them that you have them in your head. And
so I'm like, there was one time that I was
having a text conversation with I'm gonna use fake names,
so we'll say Mike and Mitchell, Okay, So I was
happy so to the first I was having a text

(13:06):
conversation with Mike while I was sexting Mitchell. And there
I mean, they look the same, and I had to
be very and luckily I did not make a mistake,
but I had to be very very careful, Like every
time I was about to send a text, I had
to go back, double check the name, double check the
content of the text, and then send it on its way.

(13:28):
I do it now every time I look at the
name and I double check. Ever since that happened to me,
I'm like, you know that feeling though, when you see
your whole body turned like that pale color, like you
feel when you're like nation. You turn off your phone
like thinking that it's not gonna say I do that.
I don't. As an Android user, I don't know the

(13:49):
answer to this question from the iPhone end. On Android,
you can set on the text message programs a delay.
You can you can set like a ten second delay
or a five second delay, so you can look at
it and then even if you hit said, it waits
and then it goes, yeah, we don't have that. You
don't have that, But I don't have that turned on

(14:12):
because I go, who's ever going to need that? Email?
Actually has that? An email? But you've got to turn
it on. They have a a thirty second delay after
you send an email and you want to take it
back re send it. Uh, so it doesn't send out
because I've done it before with credit card information and
uh I've gotten screwed because I didn't have it turned on.
Well we are like thirty seconds from wrapping up, so UM,

(14:35):
it's been fun and uh, you know this is our
last conversation for if you're in South Florida, turn this
off and protect yourself. You don't want this to be
the last thing you hear and the Carolina or if
you're listening to this, how the phone service right now?
That's what do you have? What kind of generate every
