Speaker 1 (00:02):
What would you talk about on your on your podcast,
Firm Presents Minute Morning Show Morning You. Now, this could
be a very weird fifteen minute morning show podcast. I
don't know if it's going to be, but it just
seems like it has all the ingredients for a very toxic, toxic,
(00:26):
toxic brew. Of course, I'm Elvis. There's Bethany around the table.
We've also got Dave Brody, great Tea, the frat Boy.
There's the Positivity. Yeah, there's Garrett. And there's Danielle Beautiful
Danielle Scary is here in Straightennate. Let's let's start with
straight name. Oh no, no, les, start with someone else.
Today is not the day exactly. Okay, this is why
(00:46):
we're starting with him. He is a mess today. You've
been He and I've both been sleepy all week for
some reason. But you really look like you've been beaten.
Took that well right now, You like messed your hair upping,
and you like you look like a puppy loss. You don't.
You don't look like you're with it. I'm not with it.
I haven't slept, I'm tired. We had a good night
(01:07):
last night, but it was a long night. A lot
of things going on. We took his wallet and his
money he left out on his desk, like at seven
o'clock this morning, Bethany hit it and he hasn't even
thought about it to look for it. I finally realize, like,
oh what, I don't have my wallet or my money.
We've had it for three hours, all right, but you
are out of it. I'm sorry? What well? No, no, no,
(01:29):
no, no no no, this isn't a fish. If we're not
fishing for apologies, I want to know if you're okay,
because you're you don't look like you're having a good
time of it. It's there's been a lot of stuff professionally, personally,
let's start with the personal. No, no, no, no, no,
it's it's good. I'm making a making a move. Are
(01:51):
you moving into the home with a still you're making
a move? Expensive our engagement rings nowadays, you're getting married?
Oh I am not. Are you moving in? About about
the dog? She has a cat and you have an
anaphylactic reaction to she found a home for her cats
(02:16):
with l found a home for her cat because she
likes me enough to find a place for her cat
to live. All right, So you're not sleeping so obviously
this is bothering you. Maybe it's sick. I haven't. I haven't.
I'm getting older and I haven't had a real relationship
in a long time. And why is that fear of commitments?
(02:39):
I mean you want that alphabetically. Um, No, I haven't.
I haven't really dated anybody seriously in a long time.
And I'm smoothing with someone. Well you could do. You
could look at it like that. They've been together longer
than some people think, because he was hiding it for
a while and I found out about it on an
airplane ride because he was talking her on the phone.
(03:00):
I'm like, who are you talking to? Like? Why is
it stressing you out somewhere? Because it's it's a huge step.
Like Elvis said, I'm fine living in my apartment. I
mean it's great, but at some point you have to
I don't want to say grow up, but take that
next step if you want a relationship to go somewhere.
(03:20):
And if it doesn't go somewhere, great, go back to
that first step that you were at. Are you keeping
your apartment? Yes? So she's selling hers, she's were moot.
This is really getting granular here, boys and girl, because
you're you're you're telling the truth. We're getting to know Nathaniel. Yeah,
I'm trying to keep my personal life somewhat private. We're
(03:41):
not doing that right now, I know. Alright, So should
I have just said I don't want to talk about it,
that you're progative. But the bottom line is this you
look like you you've you've been shot at and missed
and shipped on and hit. Yeah, that's not entirely because
of my personal life. I'm not saying. It's also because
of your professional line. What's wrong there nothing, It's just
(04:04):
a lot about some of this stuff that we Alright,
here's doing a microphone here, what's scary? Yeah, No, Nick
goes through a lot behind the scenes. Sometimes I feel
like i'm your psychologist, which is really bad. Thing gets
to that level. But it's it's really true though. I mean,
there's there's a lot going on to so many there's
so many, as you say, Elvis balls in the air,
(04:25):
and you have to have to parts moving parts, spinning, spinning, Yes,
and so I see what goes on on a daily
basis around here. Now it's Friday when we're recording this
podcast after ten am. It's almost like let's creep uh,
let's silently tiptoe out of here before we start guns
of blazing. Let lighten the whole place up, and having
(04:48):
fire drills on Friday afternoon because the email change will
go on through the weekend if we don't do that
until Monday. I know that's that's the business we're end.
I know it sucks. Sometimes it's easy for me to
say because I don't have to deal with I go home. Yeah,
aren't you usually gone by this time? A fast? About
two things. One, in terms of Nate's life situation, it's
(05:10):
sort of you're at the phase because I was there,
many of us are. You're at the phase of the
roller coaster where you're you're scared of roller coasters, but
you're going up the hill and you you want to
get off, but you can't stop. And is that nervousness
and you have to realize that ultimately after the fear
has gone and you take that big hill, that's the
fun part of the right where you're going fast and
it feels really cool as long as there's yeah, this
track there. But it is a scary to make a
(05:31):
big decision like that. It's it's a big deal. But
there is that anxiety. The second thing is and you're
all missing this. There's a there's an elephant in the
room that we're not addressing. What You've been here four
years now approximately. For four years you've been the wingman,
the partner, the guy who agrees with everything Scary says
about being single, about being bros, about never committing, about
staying young, never growing up. And now you're about to
(05:52):
do that, and Scary will be alone because Scary you're
his hero, You're this guy, right, well, this is the
natural progression of things. That will keep an eye on it.
But you totally fine. You need some sleep, I do.
I know, I'm kind of worried about this for Scary.
Why is that not? Here's why, because Nate and and
his woman have not been in it as long as Scary.
(06:14):
So this is where Scary woman you cannot judge. You can't.
Can't you let her speak pleases, Where Scary woman looks
at Nate and goes, Scary, look at how long they've
been together, because she's cool and she doesn't do that,
and she doesn't relationships. I don't think I have to
I have to respectfully disagree with that logic. Everyone's different right,
(06:36):
you know, and you are like the Yenta of the room.
You're always like Danielle is not happy unless she knows
you were in the relationship. She wants you to be
when everyone to be happy, but some people are happy
being the way they are touching themselves. He is very happy.
Don't impart your feelings on my relationship in life takes
(06:56):
two to tango, first of all. But the thing the
bottom line with this, it's all the bottom line with me.
As you know, Danielle means the best she wants. She
has found a relationship that is so beautiful and so great.
She really thinks that if we just give our lives
a chance to have that same kind of relationship. Will
totally understand. But it's not gonna be that way for
all of us. You have to have to understand. You're
(07:17):
great and you're a beautiful person for wanting the best
for all. I know you do. But at the end
of the day, out of everyone in this room, Scary
seems to me to be the happiest. Really, but I
legitimately am the happiest because I'm currently not under pressures
that everybody else is in here for you. So there
could be something to speak for that. All right, Now
(07:37):
let's talk about something else, shall we. Let's talk about
Greg Tea. I was behaving myself, Great Tea. I want
to challenge you next week. I want you to come
to work and not ship all over everyone, because what
great Tea does is he will hold court in the
other room and just start bad mouthing everyone behind their backs,
and we all hear about it, and it's You've got
(07:59):
to stop that, you know, Elvis. It's so difficult for me.
I come in here so positive on a Monday, but
then all of a sudden, I have these thoughts that
go through my head. But when I can't, I can't control.
It's like no filter. Help him out. But why are
you so mean to people behind their backs? Because I
can't in front of that thing? Why do you think?
Why do you think that you're holier than thou with
(08:22):
all of us and that your best and everything else
we do is ship? Why is that? Why don't you
get your act together then you can make fun of us.
It's so easy to poople on everybody else. But it's like,
I try so hard to be your friend, and I've
tried so hard to earn your trust in the time
that I've been here, and like I know you said
when I first joined the show that you had a
really hard time trusting people. And so now to know that,
(08:44):
like you're talking crap about me behind my back when
I've tried so hard to like form a friendship with you,
that sucks. What did I say about you? I don't
know what you talked about everybody. I assume that you
talked about the assumption I think today the assumption is
we all think you're saying crap about everyone, because that's
what you do. So if anyone knows it's Garrett, Garrett,
(09:05):
you spend more time in that other soundproof room with
Greg T and Scottie B and my assistant Andrew than
anyone else. And that's room right now. He constantly goes
through on any given day, a rotation of people to
pick on any given day could be anybody for any
simple reason, whether whether they laughed the wrong way or
they like something different. Yesterday it was it was me
(09:27):
because I decided to bring my wife to the the
summer and it was great to see Ali. We love Ali.
Why are you bringing her? What are you doing? Why
is she coming? You're getting mad at you I heard
the conversation and I said, T Garrett wants to bring
(09:48):
his wife, is it your business? Let him bring his wife?
Why don't you? Is it making you miserable? Like a ship?
Why why do you have to like belittle people because
of that? It was well, I didn't think it was
the thing that we're all gonna be hanging out like that.
We we all had jobs to do, we had a
purpose to be there yesterday. But was Ali getting in
(10:08):
the way of you doing your job? Then? Why is
it your business? I don't know. And Ali can hold
her own and she knows everybody, and she's fine on
her own. And then walks in today and looks at
Scary says, your shirt is fucking ugly. I don't like
your shirt. You see what I bought this shirt? It
said something to it spoke to me. So I wanted
this shirt and I got it on sale. I'm like,
(10:29):
I'm getting it. I'm taking this shirt because it's it's,
you know, the neutral white shirt. But why do you
come in and look at his shirt and start belittling
his shirt. I can't filter it. I can't keep it
in my head. It has to come out. I don't
know to stop that. You know what I'm thinking of
Today when um our guest was on with us, Madison Beers, Okay,
she was talking about bullying, and remember she said that
(10:52):
when somebody picks on someone else so much, we said,
it's usually a problem they have within themselves, so we
should all feel bad for them. So maybe now instead
of think angry at Gregory, we should all look inside
of ourselves and start feeling really bad for him, because
obviously there are things that he needs to work on
with himself. We've got a text message today that said,
people who hurt are people that hurt. I'm hurting. I'm
(11:13):
hurting obvious. I don't know, but I gotta tell you that.
You know, we have to keep some some form of
peace here in this very hectic job that we have.
So it could be helped out if you would just
stop being an asshole. I don't make fun of my
hash brown hoodie. Okay, So starting on Monday, I'm starting
(11:34):
today right now. I'm starting right now. You don't quit
smoking next Thursday. You don't stop eating fatty foods next Thursday.
You start doing it right now. If that's what you
need to be doing, just because you have do do
in your sphincter. Doesn't mean you need to crap it
all over the place. Can we let him out right now? No? Okay,
(11:56):
go ahead, go ahead, you have three minutes, purge, go
around the room until there's nothing to go around the
room and tell everyone what you hate it. Daniel already
called me Gregory twice or three times. Why won't she stop?
You see? But I've asked her to stop it. She
won't stop. Okay, okay, bring it. I don't know. Oh,
you have tons about it bother me today. Nate's betting
(12:17):
pretty cool today. Train on top of train, you guys
blew it off. I mean it could have been. Okay, okay,
go ahead, unload on me, go topic train. I guess,
but that's all right. What about Brody? You got a
lot to say about him. That's a whole other podcast. Honestly, today,
by didn't do anything today. I didn't nothing, really, all right?
Scary Yeah, I hate your shirt shirts, damn ugly appreciate.
(12:40):
What about Bethany? No, Bethany I said she looked like
a living Newton genreally because if you know what, because
if you remember a living Newton John from Greece at
the very end, which he's dressed all in black when
she does the dance, You're the one that I wanted.
Looks like Sandy. Yeah, you look like Sandy. It wasn't
a bad thing, though. What else. Let's say, I'm not
upset about that. No, No, that's that's two inside. Really,
(13:02):
it's not really like he's upset that I'm continuing to
do a podcast with David Brody the Brooklyn Boys talking
about that, and we're doing the podcast and I'm not
working with him anymore because he quit the off air show. Okay,
the the off Air Show just disappeared, and it's scary.
And Brodie, you're doing a podcast without you. You're different podcast.
(13:25):
You're off in the dust. I have another one getting
ready to start, and it is another one of the wings. Okay,
we encourage that. What kind of podcast would that be?
It's gonna be great. It's gonna be with Danielle and Garrett.
Do they know this? Yeah? Have you guys worked with
him before, because you know, it's impossible to work, to
be honest, we work together every day, we do the
pre show in New York, and we actually have a
(13:46):
good time together. So I'm kind of hoping that it won't. Yeah,
the chemistry is building. You tell him the name of
our new podcast begge Ham. Well, I can't even remember that.
What is it? Fedge ham edge He will tell me
what it means. He just wants to use that as
our podcast. He thinks it's so weird that people will
remember it. Bethany listens to a podcast called The Dollarp
(14:08):
and I thought that was really weird. But but we
know what a dollar is. A dollar is like a
like a little little scoop or something like a dollarp
of whipped cream on top of a Sunday. What's a
fedge Ham? I just made it up? Okay, you know what.
I think it's stuck in the middle or caught in
the middle, because I'm stuck in the middle of these two.
I like that, like that poop over fedge Ham. Ready,
(14:35):
fedge Ham could be poopoo, right you? Nobody else is
really getting it exactly. Fetch you don't even knows what
a fetch hamp Elvis is reading me. It's funny, it's catching.
I mean, how many huge brands are words that don't
mean anything exactly? Famam is Amazon spice, But I don't
know if that perfect alright. Positivity is the fifteen minute
(14:59):
morning show
