Speaker 1 (00:00):
Fifteen minute morning show podcast coming up, but we got
to talk about Blue Apron. Thanks to Blue Apron. The
next fifteen minutes around them. Every Wednesday, my Blue Apron
box arrives full of fresh produce, all measured out so
I don't have any waste when I cook these meals
that their chefs come up with. They give you this
easy to read card with every meal, and every meal
is under ten dollars if you actually learn how to

(00:22):
cook from them. And like I said, they're ingredients are
from right up the street. They're all from farms in
your region. It's affordable, like I said, less than ten
dollars per meal. Lots of varieties, new recipes every week.
They're flexible with what you want. If you don't want fish,
they won't send fish. If you need to take off
a week or two or the three or four days,
just do it. They don't charge you, and guaranteed freshness
every single meal. They do the heavy lifting, They do

(00:44):
all the shopping, and like I said, they don't give
you too much food seed to waste. Any food. You
just chop it, saute it, and eat it. It's so delicious.
Check out this week's menu. Get your first three meals
for free and free shipping by going to Blue Apron

(01:05):
talk about on your on your podcast firms show nice
and Fresh? After a week back, a week a week off,
we're back finally. Yeah. So excited, aren't you guys? Excited? Yeah?

(01:30):
I haven't been on the podcast in almost three weeks,
so I'm excited. We're really excited. Welcome back, buddy. If
you forgot our names, I'm scary. Nate's over here, Bethany's
over there, There's Garrett, there's Greg t and Brody who
hasn't been here in three weeks, very very sick. Yes, oh,
and shout out to the twelve of the fourteen people

(01:51):
I work with who checked in on me. Yeah, well
I would I would think I was one of the twelve.
You were one of the twelve not check in on you.
I'm not going to mention names, but both of them
are in the him right now. I checked in on Brody.
He didn't, Yes, I did. I tweeted you. I said, oh,
somebody's feeling better after you put out your very first
political tweet. I said, that is not really checking in

(02:11):
on my healthy, but shout out to all the people
that noticed I wasn't on the podcast and asked about
my health. I really want to check in with each
other vacation. Isn't that one of those he was sick.
He wasn't on vacations in the hospital. But I knew that.
I figured out that you got better by tweeting out
your political and Nate, why didn't you check in on him?
I had what Brody had before. Yeah, I didn't give
a ship who checked in on me? No pun intend no, seriously,

(02:35):
I had that that. I didn't care who was checking in.
I just wanted to get better. So I've been there.
I learned my lesson last time Brody was out and
I didn't check in and I got I got grief
for it from him. So I checked in. I was
one of the first to check in. I only checked
in for the grief. Yes, I was legitimately worried. Yes,
I actually there was a period of time you were

(02:57):
so sick that I actually thought you might I and
that's not an exaggeration, And I was like, this is
all right, this is who I gotta start feeling. I
started to prep with how I would feel if you died.
M I mean, I got through it all you and
you and Dannielle were very, very very involved. I appreciate that. Anyway,
I'm fine. If you're listening to this, I'm fine now.

(03:18):
Although I did get into a fight at the doctor's office,
of course you did so before I went into the hospital,
I had to go for one more checkup, so and
my doctors obviously have to sign in. There's a clipboard,
but I feel like this is an episode of Curb
Your Enthusiasm. I was a little lightheaded, but I'll trying
to recreate it. So I was already like not feeling well.
And the clipboard has a it's a clipboard. So under

(03:41):
the clip was a gray pen from a gray big
pen was the cap, but no pen. So I'm looking
around the waiting room and there's a woman using the
pen to hit things on her iPhone. Older woman. So
I said, excuse me, can I have Are you done
with the pen? She says, I'm already signed in. I
don't need to sign in. I said, but I need
to sign in, and you have the pen. This is

(04:03):
my pen. So I said, no, you have the gray
big pen that goes with the cap that's still on
the clipboard. So she says, we'll find you can borrow it.
I said, I'm not borrowing it. You took the pen
from the clipboard. That's the pen. It could match the cap.
It's not doesn't necessarily mean it's the same pen. Lady,
I'm sick. I don't have time for this. You took

(04:25):
the great big pen. That's the great big pen. Cap
they match. Your pen doesn't have a cap. The cap
doesn't have a pen. Give me the damn pen. Well, fine,
but give it back. I need it. It's not your pen.
And she said you don't know that. I said, lady,
I'm pooping blood. Give me the god damn pen. So

(04:46):
I got the pen and she gave me a har rumph.
She gave me a yeah, I'm sorry, the cap was there. Yeah,
that's it. So I got into a fighting. Sorry all
these trouble, it's all right. Most of you are sorry.
I really not bad. I'm glad you're back up and running.

(05:06):
I really am. I'm sorry. Day twenty one, I tweeted.
He commented, I tweeting goes, oh, I see you feeling better.
Get tweeted you did, true though, when you're feeling, when
you are feeling better than we noticed that you're funny.
You heard nothing from him, and listen, Bethany kept us
something date what was going on, and then you heard
nothing from you, and then all of a sudden, there

(05:26):
was the tweet, and I'm like, somebody's feeling. They called
you a couple of times early on, but once I
went on vacation, I'm like, okay, I'm out. Yeah, No,
it's fine. You're checked in. It's fine, which is merely
checking in with somebody here on the show makes me
feel like I'm back. And I don't want to feel
like I'm back, because the moment I'm gone, I'm gone.
That's it. I don't want to know. But I died,
it would be like I don't want to go to
co worker's funeral. It's like I'm at work. I gotta

(05:50):
see everybody I work with. I gotta get to put
a suit on. I got an email yesterday afternoon to
make sure that we talked about the beautiful video that
Jake made about for Mother's Day. And I looked at
that and I was like, I get it, but I
was again he felt like I was back at work.
I was thrusted back into it again. Well, here's the thing.
I went into the hospital on Thursday while you was

(06:10):
still at work, and Friday while you would still at work,
So it wasn't like you've given up vacation time. But
at that time, just like Nate said, you were so
deadly ill, and like Bethley said, we thought you might
be dying. That is not the time to be texting
you like, Hey, how are you feeling? Text my wife?
He help, hope, David's okay? Okay, you got about that,
you could have got Okay. The story I heard in
Mexico is that you didn't even let your wife know

(06:32):
that you were sick. Okay, I was so sick. I
couldn't call her. You couldn't call You can't say no,
and I didn't want to worry her. What could she do?
So you're getting me. Ship wouldn't even tell your own
wife that you Okay, wait a minute, but once I
told her, she cared. Why didn't you tell her every time?

(06:58):
It's like a moment. I didn't tell my wife because
I didn't want her to worry about me, and she
has a lot of things to do. With the kids.
We have three kids, and she was running around and
the last thing she needs to worry about is me
being sick in a room. And so it happened. Is
that so? Kathleen then texts your wife, Oh yeah, my
wife didn't know. And then kath web girl Kathleen texted

(07:20):
my wife were So, I actually have a picture taken
outside your hotel room of all of a standing stone
face trying to get ahold of you in your hotel
room because you weren't answering the door, wondering like we
had a candle light vigil. I was on the phone
with the front desk trying to arrange a doctor for you.
Is he dead? So I have a thing when I
when I check in the hotels for less than four days,

(07:42):
I don't get my roommate up. I don't want it,
I don't like it. I put a dunut disturb on.
I like to nap. I don't even knocking on the door.
So by day you guys came by, like the second day, right,
I hadn't been out the day of the pool party,
right right, And so I hear knocking on the door,
So I think it's housekeeping, like they they're not paying
attention to the sign because they're like, oh, he must

(08:03):
want his room clean. It's been two days. So I'm screaming,
go at your room clean. Yeah, I was in bed.
I was like, go why about I'm really yelling, Brownie,
are you alive? We haven't seen you? You missed los five.

(08:28):
Finally I go to the door because I'm gonna yell
at the people from the hotel for knocking on my door.
And I opened the door and it's Elvis and like
seven of you right, very concerned and how did I
look like like like you know in Beauty and the Beast,
the animated one where they say try the gray stuff.
It's amazing and it's like a dollop of something gray.
You were that. So so Elvis says, can I come in?

(08:51):
BRONI mo worried about you? I said, yeah, you only
come in only you come in, And so he sits
down and he's talking to me and he's asking me.
I'm like, and he says, everybody seeing worried about you.
And that's when he said it, what do you say?
He's everybody come in here? Brody up, Nate. You know
how it felt I did the last thing you want.
Anybody seven coworkers like looking at you. I'm in like

(09:15):
clothing for two days. I'm just a puddle of smell,
the smells you smell, your own smells, and everybody you
don't want to check in on you, But seriously, I
want to. I want to be okay when I'm in

(09:36):
the room, in a pool of my own everything. I
don't want you check in. All right, all right, But
I don't get it. But a week later, when I
missed a week, a word and you and I send
you a picture that I have an I V in
my arm and I'm in the hospital. But that's okay,
That's that's when we can check in on him. A
text message wouldn't kill you, just like I'll help you

(09:58):
death in a foreign country. You don't want us to
help you. And then, because I want to keep Nate
in the loop every night I missed, I emailed Nate
the night before and I said, I'm definitely ill. I'm
not going to be in tomorrow. Not even a freaking reply,
not even why guys did I wouldn't even expect him
to email me in the first place, professionally talking like

(10:20):
you cover it until he's back in professional get out Brownie?
How Brownie? That's the neighbor's wife. There's always yelling, you
making you're making him work. You're making the guy really
harder because first of all his right arm, like you know,
the guy can't even type in text. He's really hurt
between you got two of you not getting in touch
with me and that woman with the goddamn pen so far,

(10:48):
thinking about the year he had so far. He walks
around with a bowling glove. Right, okay, you know what's
the receptionist behind the count I heard the fight I
was having this woman and she says, I have another
pet and I said, I don't want your pen. I
want that pen because that's the penchie stole. It's about
that time where he gets on the phone with a

(11:09):
pool company. He's about to undo the pool and it's
always a problem. Every single May, there's a problem called
my coble guy and he says, already booked up. I
said it was in a hospital. I couldn't make an appointment.
He goes, I'm sorry, I go, but I'm your guy.
You didn't notice I didn't call. He goes, I'm sorry,
no appointment for you? And you called your wife and hey, honey,

(11:32):
deathly by the way, called the pool guy. You know, Bronie.
Now I'm mad that I even checked in on you.
It is all about communication. You clearly did not communicate
with your wife or your pool guy, which is just
as bad. That's terrible, Brownie. If I tell my wife
I'm sick, she rolls arise and goes, oh, what is
it with men? They can't take anything. You're always catching

(11:53):
and complaining. But what she gets instead Kathleen text from
Kathleen going is your husband in the hospital? And then
poor years do you want me to call a doctor
for your husband? And She's like, I don't know what
you're talking about. It's okay. I live for the conversation
with the pool company that I'm telling you. I've known
Brody for many many every No, but the pool company

(12:17):
is prices, understand. He's like, He's always like, what do
you mean you can't get there? I I have somebody's
waiting for the house, somebody's at the house right now,
They are there right now, or it's the pump, or
the pool's rising, or the liner's coming up. There's always something.
You know this because you you I have I have

(12:38):
gotten into every May. Every May. I don't. I don't
know what this is like. I don't have a pool.
I don't even know what you guys are talking about.
Just I didn't know. Okay, but all right, So how
is your vacation? How Once I got the pen from
that lady, it was fine? But when did you start

(12:59):
feeling better? And I put it in the cap? No? Like, um,
we're able to yet? But I would say, what's today? Monday? Yeah,
last Wednesday or Thursday? I was up and around a
little bit. I got you. You got four days? How
about great Tea going to an amusement park with his
wife and making his wife go on the rides by herself? Wait,
how did that? When did that happen? Are we going

(13:19):
to go there? What happened? I don't listen. I love
amusement parks, yes, and I love to go there and
see the smiling faces and whatever. I'm just not a
ride enthusiast like Elvis throws me on the rides to
be like the you know, the guinea pig. So that's
what I do for my job, But I don't really
go on like rides. Trish loves rides, so she goes
I take pictures. Can I say I love that instead

(13:41):
of saying I don't love rides. You said I'm not
a ride enthusiasts. I'm not. I love that is affecting you.
I love I wish I felt good enough to go
on rides. Checking on with me and my allergies. It

(14:02):
was all week I've had allergies, so I don't need
to check in where you was. I the only one
who actually got away, went out of town and of
this whole group here Francisco. Actually you trumped me on that.
You you went to San Francisco. I went to Chicago.
And now you kissed because you just had to shut up.
You had to use the word what I said. Stop.

(14:23):
You know you said I trumped that. I didn't mean
like that. You can go there and Garrett, you one
up to me, Yes, you one up to me, because
I'll let me tell you, I would have much rather
have been where you went in San Francisco and in
Napa Valley, the home of wine making, right the motherland.

(14:44):
Do you feel a little bougie walking around Napa? You know,
until you have to find those like little mom and pop.
You know, twenty five year old that opened up a
winery based off of his great grandparents. And uh, and
that's that's cool. Yeah, I took a NAPA for six days.
Yeah no, checked on you nobody, that's it. But no,

(15:04):
but I went to Chicago. When I went to I
went to a Cincinnati and went to Nashville. I did
like a road trip of like the Midwest area. Is
there anyone who listens to this podcast or our show
that doesn't know every second of where you are? What? No,
it's excited. I got it very excited. Here's why because
and I'll just be straight up and I'm just gonna
I'll just say this one thing. Um, I had this
preconceived notion that like, place like Nashville is just boots

(15:27):
and saddles, and it's a whole lot. I've learned it's
a whole lot more than that. Actually houses and cars.
I'm just saying, they've come a long way and they're
they're in there. They're probably No, this is a this
is going to be the future of sound like a genius.
They stopped plumbing, oh my god, and traffic like no
trying to sound backwards? Oh no, not at all. Can

(15:48):
we continue this tomorrow? Because this made me I didn't
even get a chance to like, I'm not even gonna
get to finish the fifteen minute morning show
