(01:04):
on your on your podcast, pon Elvis represents show. All right,
here we go fifteen minute Morning Show podcast. Two days.
Everyone's acting like a Friday. It's Elvis along with Bethany

(01:25):
and Dave Rono, and there's Garrett. There we are, there
we are, and there's a scary what's up? And there's Danielle.
All right, so welcome to the fifteen minute Morning Show podcast.
What's good to be here? Two days in a row.
Here he is not happy? Why because when you're not here,
he sits at the gold mic and runs the board,

(01:46):
he runs the thing and he just walked over to
this back microphone with the saddest look on his face. No, no,
I'll tell you why. I don't. I don't mind one bit.
In fact, I welcome it. I like to just hang
out with everybody around this table, with the people. The
thing that I the thing that sucks because I know
it's coming, is this is about to turn into a
bash scary session because I already heard whispers. That's why
I'm just like, okay, bring it, okay, Well, is this

(02:08):
the topic you're talking about? I was told as I
walked into the room for the fifteen Minute Morning Show podcast. Oh, Els,
we have a topic. Um, and I asked you what
is it? And then Bethany said, oh, we got it covered.
Don't you worry about it? Not about you. Okay, good,
I'll happily popen. So what is it? Scary does something
you've all experienced it? Maybe you didn't realize it, but

(02:28):
as soon as I tell you'll go, oh yeah, that's right.
So Bethany showed me a very funny video apparently that
when viral and I hadn't seen. I was laughing. Scary says,
what are you laughing at? And she says, oh, the
such and such video. Oh I saw that a month ago.
You just see it now. Scary can't just say, oh,
I've seen it. I enjoyed it. Also, if you say
have you been to this rest I found this new restaurant,

(02:49):
I've been going there for six months, he has to
tell you you should feel bad for just getting on board.
He's been doing it. He's a cutting edge ahead of
the curve. He can't just say, oh, I saw that.
What that is is you be being so freaking your
neurotic in your own brain that you're making up You're
making up things because to me, I all I'm saying
is I'm giving you factual information. You could do with

(03:11):
it what you want, but you choose to put a
narrative in your head and think that I'm belittling or
being condescending to you guys for telling you that I
saw Oh yeah, I saw that a few I saw that,
like six months ago. I don't I don't feel said.
It's all the inflection. That's how I said it. So okay,
So we're going to see both sides. So scary. I
see your side of it where you're like, oh no,
I'm just giving the information involved in my story through

(03:33):
information out there. From our perspective, it feels like you're
being condescending. You're insecure and have low self esteem. The
thing of today's show, Yeah, you're hanging your ship on scary. Now,
I will tell you, coming from the point of view
of someone who knows everything, I get accused of being

(03:54):
a no at all. My problem is I just know
too much. So and I will tell you this. I've
told this to Nate because sometimes you know he's a
know it all. And I'll tell you why he'ven't know
it all, Because Nate is very knowledgeable. He does know
a lot. He's very well read. He studies, he reads
a lot, so he knows a lot of stuff. I
told Nate do what I do. Sometimes pretend you don't

(04:16):
know what they're saying. Like, for instance, if I said
to you, Scary, I went to Nobo last night, rather
than youre going, oh, been there many times. I've been
a lot before you were over there. You should so
oh my god. You should say, oh my god, tell
me how it was, rather than being Mr Rod been there,
so bring it back to you. That's what you're saying.
So so ask you a question, so pretty much saying

(04:38):
things like, oh, how is the food? Did you enjoy it?
But can I slip it in there? Like oh did
you try the me so black car? And I thrown that?
Because that's kind of like me letting you know that
I've been there without me letting you know that I've
been there. What does it have to be about you?
Why can't you? Why can't you wait till Elvis says, hey, Scary,
have you been there? Oh? Yes, I was there list month?
Why does it? Why do you have to let everyone

(04:59):
know that you've been there? Because everybody sounds like everybody's
being self serving? Is there really an answer to that. Well,
there is. There is one answer to that. If I say, ho,
I've been to NOBU and you go, oh, I've been
there too. Rather than us thinking he's one upping us,
he's actually being relatable. He's actually pointing out the fact
that he's experienced the same thing. And so we we
we are on a different level, agree about that topic, breed.

(05:21):
But it isn't an insecurity thing. It wasn't that scary,
said I've seen it. Also, isn't it funny? He said, Oh,
I started like a month ago. You just sing it now.
I didn't saying that the tone of it. Did he
say it that way? Yes, he's oh, oh yeah, yeah,
I saw that a month ago. So that's an asshole.
I felt a little bit like you guys are a

(05:42):
little behind the curve, right, Okay, Well, it's like I'm
tired of seeing that. It wasn't I wasn't insinuating anything.
I was just letting you know that I want to
be in the note too. I want to be part
of the converence. I want to said, as you said,
it's all in the inflection in the words you choose.
If I say I've been to Nobu and you go, oh,
I've been there a long time ago. I was there
months ago, being just a dick. It's a dick movie.

(06:04):
But if you say, oh, yeah, it's great, isn't it
what you eat? You know that's totally different, right, Bethany,
you guys women. Garrett hasn't said anything about any of this. Well, no,
I'm just listening. I would like to see play it
out like with the advice you just said Elvis, where
Bethany and and Brody tells Scary Hey about this viral video.
See how Scary will respond now learning what he just did. Okay,
so you want to do a little uh morning lay,

(06:29):
So that's so good? What do you guys? What do
you have? You seen the video with the two cats
and the tuba and they're they're spinning around and the
one goes inside and he like pokes his head backs. Funny. Yeah,
that's awesome. I saw that too. Yeah is that funny? Yeah?
What did you like most about that video? And loved
it when the cat comes back out of the tuba
and he's wearing a hat. All right, So, okay, has

(06:52):
that same cat I see? Now you're run up? He
started from the beginning. Only have I seen the video,
but my cousin has that cat so so Garrett, how
do you feel about how he still doesn't learn, Danielle,
it's scary accept him for face value. By the way, Uh,

(07:13):
the reason straight and It is acting weird today is
because his scalp is crawling. He's on active fed or something. Andrew.
It's some sort of a fedron or something. Listen, some
sort of a feder some sort of bit blown by
by note by Boes a little bit. You sound like
Mr Program doctor fer It's kind of antihistam jacksie up

(07:36):
a little bit o fun. Yeah, it's it's uh speed
kind of it does it makes your Yeah, because I
think it's supposed to be drying your whatever out and
at the same time it makes your skin crawl. This
is what you have to sign for sometimes at the
pharmacy because kids were using it to make pat I
was getting so mad. I would go I would go

(07:57):
to um Walgreens and say, I need some you know whatever. Well,
we don't have that because the kids were making smack
in the kitchen with fuck you kids. Because I don't
need to make any smack. I don't I don't I
don't need anything. I'm not making scissors, I promise you,
That's all I want to do is drive out my

(08:17):
fucking Sinos can't because the kids didn't. You can't buy
almost glue or borax anymore because kids are making No
kids make slime now at home and they stuck up
on glue and borax. Everybody sold out. By the way,
you're taking a fedroan. Scary. Scary took that back in January.
He had hay favorite long before. I don't know, Scary.

(08:40):
Here's such a good sport. I learned. In conversation, you're
supposed to use the word you and not I. Really yeah,
to use I, and in conversation you use if you're
doing an example, oh gosh, oh you you really like
that video? Not I like that video. It's oh you
really like that video. That's great. That's a good idea,

(09:01):
and it shows that you're more interested in the person
you're talking to, as opposed to you being interested in
yourself and drawing attention to yourself. I heard that theory
when I was in high school. You are Have you
ever let me ask you a question? Have you ever
gone through an email or a text and try to
eliminate some of the eyes just to make it more

(09:23):
of them, unless you I've been done that, because it's
so se s easy to just say, hey, I'm so
happy you sent me a text. Okay, delete, great hearing
from you. Big difference. She started eliminating the eyes. Now
we're all afraid. My sister is kind of an amazing

(09:46):
human because she is a high school teacher and she's
always doing tons of research just on like human behavior
to try and better relate to her students. And one
thing she taught me is that there are three different
kinds of people. And now I'm so paranoid about this.
There are people that when you tell them a fact,
they referenced it back to themselves. When you tell them
a fact, they referenced it back to this situation, or

(10:08):
they reference it back to you. Okay, let's let's let's
play that out. So, for example, if you were if
you said, oh, you know what, I'm going to go
to Santa Fe this weekend. I'm gonna do this ready, Okay, Hey, Bethany,
I'm going I'm going to Santa Fe this weekend. Oh.
I went to Santa Fe once. It's so beautiful. It
was a really good time. I loved it. Well, it's
not necessarily bad, it's just one way people do it. Okay.
In the second way is, let's do just reference the situation.

(10:30):
I'm going to Santa Fe this weekend. Santa Fe is
such a stunning place. It's like so natural and the
you know which, first that you've been there without making
a big deal out of it. Okay, Hey, the third one, Hey,
I'm going to Santa Fe this weekend. You are You're
going to have so much fun. I remember you saying
that you really love Santa Fe and everything about it.
What are you gonna do in Santa Fe? Okay? What's

(10:53):
the fourth? Hey? What are you doing this weekend? I'm
going to Santa Fe and I'll be on my couch,
I having no life. So what is the best way
is that? I mean, Danielle, Danielle, I'm going to Santa
Fe this weekend. Don't give a ship ways in Santa

(11:15):
years ago. I want to take I want to real
take away from this the best way using the Santa
Fe conversation, what is the best way to actually engage
a person and and not seem like a dick and
not seem like you're being selfish. Is that the third way?
The third way, I guess I think that's probably an
appropriate time forever. I mean, if you really have something

(11:37):
legitimately awesome that happened to you in Santa Fe, that's
worth when you add that to the conversation when when
there's actually a point. But like if you're just making
conversation to make conversation, I think that the more you
can reference it out it is probably better. But going
back to what I was saying earlier, I really truly
think that you're sometimes assumed to be one upping when

(11:58):
you're actually just trying to be relatable. That is exactly
and Scary says, when you guys saw that video, he
thought he was actually merging into your your space by
being relatable when saying he had seen that video before,
but it was up until the point he went, I
saw it months ago. If you just said that, my
friend sent it to me. Okay, here's another one from

(12:19):
Scary me. I read them the text you sent me
the other day. So the other day I was in
front of my hotel wedding for Scary to pick me
up to go to promotion. We were in Miami. Okay, dude,
work this and uh, you know, you know what I'm
talking about. Okay, I said, uh. He said, I'll be

(12:41):
there in just a few minutes. And I said, well, okay,
I'm I'm waiting for you at the front door. He says,
I'll be there in just a few minutes in a
Mercedes suv. Okay, that was me being descriptive, because you know,
hanging out, you know, in front of your hotel, there
might be several SUVs, there might be there might be
a Chevy suburban and of your hotel, and the windows

(13:01):
might be tinted. So that was me adding extra detail
and painting the picture. Wouldn't you be the guy in
the car that you got out of Like when you
got out, I was just over see. To me, all
I was doing was just making sure. But he's okay,
here's where it was. I'm like, where are you? He said,
we are about six minutes await in a Mercedes suv.

(13:23):
It just reads funny, see what you're saying. But I
grew scary. He wanted you to know which car to
look out for, right, And you know what, no matter
what kind of you, but if it was a GMC,
would you have said you were in a GMC. Yes, No,
that's my point. Yes he was. He thought he was
high profiling and like living high on the hog. And

(13:45):
the difference if I had sent, if I had sent
that same exact text, would it have had the same connotation.
And because it's a Pavlovian response to anything you say,
like even you were about status. Yeah, even the comment
you made to Bethany and Brodie, because you said it,
it has a different connotation. That sucks. But you set

(14:10):
that up. Do you have If you asked me, I
would say a charger. I wouldn't say with the engine,
size of the rt S and the letters if you
s scary, he says, bm W convertible FI series. That
is true. You do that because you're more into the status.
I don't do it on purpose, thought, I don't do it.
I don't know. It must be subliminal because I don't
do it. Realize subliminal, subliminal. I must say it subliminally, right,

(14:34):
is that the right word? Sublial? But you don't realize.
You say things in full name and you just drop names. Often.
I describe everything that's an old people thing or or
an older person like my mom. My mom's friends will
say like they always use the last name of everybody,
Like I'll say, hey, mom, yeah, I was hanging out
with Belinda Sanchez. I'm like, ma, she's Belinda. Yeah, well

(14:56):
you just in case you don't remember, you only have
one Belinda friend. Why you have to tell me her
last time? Sanchest. But the old people do that, they
think I don't do it on purpose. No, I don't
think you do. I think. But you've also said, like,
you weren't the most popular kid in school, and so
now you're at a place in your life where you
can kind of have not the most popular kid in school. Yeah,
that's what. You're at a point in your life where

(15:19):
you can have the nice things that I think you
probably always wanted. And so you're really proud of him.
You like to talk about him, you like to be
around him, because that's not what you got to do
growing up. And I've always told you, scary. You don't
have to say say you're doing anything to try to
impress this. You already impressed us by being a great guy,
very smart guy, hardworking producer. But sometimes you do get

(15:40):
into the statusy things and you think that it's impressive.
It's not as impressive as as you just being you. Okay,
really quick, let's all go around and say one thing
we like about Scary. I like that you're nice. I
like that he forgives me because he forgets stuff that
we said about them. He's very caring. He has a
tight asshole. The Morning Show
