Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the morning show what's on the mind of everyone
in the room. That's what we call it around the room.
You like that, Nate, I'm starting with you today. What
are you thinking about?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
I was reading the other day apparently in India, Gandhi,
you might know this. Okay, some policemen are paid money
to grow a mustache to look more intimidating.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Really, you know what people with mustaches do look slightly
more intimidating.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Did they pay you to do that day? How much
you make it cash? So our mustaches on police officers?
Is that more intimidating to you?
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Guys?
Speaker 3 (00:45):
I've always said that, you know, like the cops stash,
you know, like you see the some police officers have it.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
I don't know, I kind of I thought about it.
I'm like, you know, what, guys with mustaches do seem
a little tougher to me.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
You see a lot of firefighters with like just the mustache.
There is something just the stash that makes me hesitates
for multiple reasons.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
It's okay, that's why November is always a frightening month
for terrifying and there you go, Hey, I'm producer sandwich up.
Speaker 6 (01:13):
If there's a curiosity, always ask, especially if something has
what to do with art.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
So this shirt I got on.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
My honeymoon and Positano, I just thought it was really cute.
Speaker 6 (01:22):
It's this little sketch print, right, So I asked the
woman who was ringing me up, where did this design
come from? And she lit up, and she went into
the back room and pulled out a really old framed
piece of artwork. Apparently her great grandmother sketched this print.
It meant so much to the family and now they
just have a tiny little store where they sell only
this print on a bunch of different things. So now
(01:44):
I went from just loving the shirt because I got
it from my honeymoon to adoring the shirt because of
the story. So if there's a cute little sketch on something, whatever,
it doesn't matter where it is, ask someone there might
be a really cool story behind it.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I love the story. Everything is a story behind it.
And sometimes we just breeze by with not even a
care to be aware. And I think that's a very
good lesson to learn what's up there?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Gandhi.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
All right, we've heard the old saying people in glass
houses should not throw stones, Yes, And I just want
to remind everyone of that, because keyboard warriors are just
there's something else, right, I know.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Where you're going.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I'm talking about this. I'm glad you're bringing this up.
This is a great story from Gandhi listen to this.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
So people like to pick on me online whatever. For
the most part, I let it go. The other day,
I was on a plane, so I had some time,
so I decided to respond to one person who said
it's just so difficult to look at me, like, oh
my god, I'm having such a hard time, and I
wrote back, dear broke looking toad, please avert your eyes.
(02:44):
This man reported me for bullying and my comment got removed,
but his got to stay. And one, I'm annoyed at
metap because like, why would you let his stay but
you take mine down? And two, if you are that
fragile that you cannot take it back, don't dish it. People.
Don't do it because now and then I'm gonna clap
back and it might hurt your feelings, but don't start
it if you can't, if you can't hang with it.
Speaker 7 (03:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
So I just also would like to shout out Diamond
because when my comment got banned, she went in and
fired her own shots and it was great.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, you have your back. That's the thing. You'll have
someone comment on a post that has nothing to do.
It's totally off topic with what you talked about, saying
you are awful. You're the worst ever. I cannot stand
the fact that you have a job and a radio station.
People like you should just go away. And then you
look at their bio or whatever on there on their
(03:33):
It's like I follow in the steps of Jesus Christ
right always that come on and the ones that call.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Us ugly are the ones that look like beaten, beaten toads.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
It's like the guy who gave me the finger the
other day as he was pulling into the church parking
lot for a.
Speaker 7 (03:49):
Man like like love, appreciation and acceptance, John three six,
But you're a jackass.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Exactly following four thousand accounts, but only have forty seven followers,
no person.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
So we got we got your back, death Thandi.
Speaker 5 (04:03):
I appreciate it. I just I need it to be known.
I will fire back every now and then, every now
and then.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
But how you got you got removed? But he didn't.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
Yeah, this is crap. That's a whole different story meta.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
But we'll get to that at them all right there, Danielle,
what are you thinking about it? All right?
Speaker 4 (04:19):
So, you know, I love when my favorite teams do
amazing things. And of course the Red Bulls are all
about helping others, and they are doing a special autism
acceptance night. It's this Saturday, seven thirty pm. It is
actually their tenth annual. They do it every year because
people living with autism is something really really close to
the organization. And they're playing the Chicago Fire and they
(04:42):
are giving some of the money that they get from
the ticket sales to actually something that's also close to
our heart, Hackenzach Meridian Health there were a special autism charity.
So it's just awesome that people that we love working
hand in hand to make this happen. So if you
go to my Instagram story, I link you over to
how to get tickets, or you can always just go
(05:03):
to of course the New York It's New York Red
Bulls dot com and help our boys out, who, by
the way, are having a kick ass season.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Love them, so please go and support, love you.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
They're having a kickball season exactly.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
You know what, let's talk about that autism awareness, and
there are so many other other things that people are
living with that are now no longer swept under the road,
also mental health issues, things like that. Fifteen years ago,
autism was a small well. Families dealing with and living
with autism was a small community that just kept to
(05:38):
themselves because no one really understood. But the louder they got,
the more we learned about it. And it's the same
with mental health and a whole list of.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Different things, all down syndrome. You know that my nephew
has his little extra chromosome, which I love, and he
is doing so well. And I'm working now with a
lot of down syndrome charities and I'm learning so much.
I'm learning about what a down syndrome can do. It's
not what they can't do, it's what they can do
and how absolutely amazing they are. So I just love this.
(06:07):
It's just so great. I'm so glad, like you said,
that these things are no longer swept under the rug,
that we know so much more and we can do
so much more.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Maybe a good thing that's coming out of social media
is one of the things, Hey, scary. What's up with
you today?
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Well, I'm no yogi, but I was watching this shaman
on TikTok and he told the TikTok shaman, TikTok shaman, Yes,
you got a little guy. He's like, it's best when
you wake up to roll to the right, not to
the left when you get out of bed. And it
makes sense because I was looking at I went deep
(06:42):
into a rabbit hole about the corpse yoga pose the savasana.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
And apparently you supposed to lay there and then roll
to the right because all.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Of your organs, your major organs, like the heart is
on the left, so you're supposed to sleep.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
On your right side.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
If you're a side sleeper and you're supposed to roll
to the right, they say you'll have a better day
and will be a little bit more stress free.
Speaker 7 (07:01):
Now, what if you sleep with someone and they're on
the right side of the bed and you're on the left,
you just roll right over together.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
They gotta get out over first. Well, that that's the
problem with my girl.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
After points, she texted me, she goes, we may we
need we need need to switch sides down, Hold on,
you switch sides now.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
She's gonna die early? What what the solution is? But
that's why I sleep alone? Okay, good point? Roll right, Hey, Froggy,
what's up?
Speaker 7 (07:29):
I saw a meme yesterday, And sometimes you see a
meme and it just it hits home. And it said
A coke from a bottle, a can, and McDonald's are
three different drinks. Why is that they all taste different?
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Different?
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Because they're all different different containers and different delivery methods
and different care.
Speaker 7 (07:48):
I don't care where you go. Nothing tastes like a
coke from the fountain of McDonald's.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Nothing.
Speaker 7 (07:53):
A big ass coat from McDonald's is the best. Why
do you think that it must be the mix? And
he knows that McDonald the mix right.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
So it's not just the mix, but it's also the pipes.
They keep them extra extra cold and they have more
carbonation than when you go o our places.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
And Nate, I think has another.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
I think it's because they also have them in metal containers,
the syrups and metal containers, not in the plastic bags too.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
It's proprietary.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
They do it for them McDonald's only.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
I read an article about this. Oh my god, we've
learned so much. Proprietary sodas and rolled.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
To the right.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
The more you know, The more you know,
