What would you talk about your on your podcast? Fine
sixteen morning show. Let's go the fifteen minute morning show podcast.
We got them all here except for Danielle. Danielle is out.
She stayed at home this week. She's not feeling very well,
but she's okay. Let's not panic. Over in the Serial
(00:27):
Killers Podcast booth at Scottie b Then here in the
big room, we've got Gandhi and Scary and Garrett and
Straight and eight and Hi. Hello, thanks again yesterday for
that great birthday surprise yesterday, yesterday, yesterday.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Ye, you're awesome. You actually got surprised.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
That's the goal with a surprise party, had surprise.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
I'm not for sure. Scotty ruined it. I was positive
because when we were walking down the hallway to go
get coffee, he walked across. He passed us with all
the balloons, stopped, stared at us like a freak, and
then we do ran away.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
I saw balloons running by, but I assumed they were
for someone down there, and.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
We were trying so hard to schedule things and get
in at the right time.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
And how would I know they were for me? Because
that's two weeks away from my birthday, so it wouldn't It.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Didn't, right, but I was worried because I was like, Scotty,
just be cool man, because how you just kept walking,
it wouldn't have been anything. By the way he stopped
and stared and then like squeaked and ran. I'm like,
oh this.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
A lot of people were dumped around the corner in
the kitchen, and I remember El was walking toward the
kitchen and he said to me that was the Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:30):
He stormed out of the room and I went to
go follow him and I and he goes, I need
something sweet.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, And you started heading toward the kitchen and three
people tried to get in front of you to distract you.
I don't you remember that.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Roughly eight fifteen because I go to Tommy. I go, Tommy,
go in there, go in there early, distract him, just
chat with him. And you talked to time people like
ten seconds and you go, I need something sweet.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
So I run out there and I'm like, no.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
I don't know what it was that got you back.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
And I thought I told him that he needed to
record something and I have cereal.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Well, yeah, so I thought he was going to walk
him back out because he came in and he goes,
I need to record something, and no one's like, you
don't need to record anything, and he was about to
make the U turn.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
It's just so hard to get you. I wanted something
sweet and all the time. There was a birthday all.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Time, and you so Scary was like freaking out because
you came in and you're like, breakfast. What are we
getting for breakfast? And we knew there was food coming,
but we still ordered the breakfast. Scary's like, what is
this a decoy breakfast?
Speaker 1 (02:25):
What has happened to?
Speaker 2 (02:26):
What is going on to keep.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
The rooms decoy? I'm like, this is going to be
a decoy ordering something.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
I remember sitting with Andrew. He goes something, he wants breakfast.
I go just keep it going. Oh it was. It
was a really bad alvacado toast.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Also you got your egg salad that you enjoyed.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Oh, the excellent was great.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
And normally he ordered it very quickly, like we have
like a fifteen twenty minute window and he's like under
three minutes, all.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Right, So everything worked against it, but it still worked out.
You gouts surprised the hell out of it. It was amazing.
I was so great I felt like maybe you were
playing along because you always know, you know you was
to wear you know, I always know.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
I didn't know, and I know you hate surprises, and
I got that evil eye.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, Well.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
It's weird being on the other side.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
I get there's a flow, you know, we're doing a show,
and then all of a sudden there's people here, like
there's a lot of people. Then there's a lot of people. Yeah,
then there's a cake. I'm like, wait a minute, what
is this.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
The problem is is normally I'm able to use your
balloons for my birthday because it's the next day and
I don't think these are going to last two more weeks.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah, did you get yourself balloons for your Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:28):
I always get the lever.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Can you get to the balloons? There's no camera on
the balloons. I guess swing the camera around.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
I wish she saw so as you were driving in
Sheldon drop Daniel's husband dropped off the balloons. But he's
sitting in his car, and it's just like all you
see is balloons in his car, Like We're like, is
that is that?
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Sheldon for doing that?
Speaker 2 (03:48):
So Danielle really did the Lion's share of the planning
for this thing. So she called me at three point
thirty yesterday morning.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I'm sick, I can't come in. I'm like, who is this?
It sounds like someone from our sales department.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yeah, but so yeah, she she we we figured out,
we made it work and it was.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Apeaking of that. You know, what else is kind of weird?
Speaker 4 (04:13):
I realized yesterday when Danielle called me at four am,
even though that she knew I was waiting. Isn't it
weird calling somebody at three or four o'clock in the morning,
even if you know they're up.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Well, you guys, if someone calls it three or four
in the morning, that means something. Something's wrong. Yeah, something
that cannot wait a minute, you know. But texting is fine.
The phone ringing is a little alarming for me. I'm
a little triggered. Yeah for a moment.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yeah, I knew it was something important when I saw
her name, and I knew it yesterday was so.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
She's doing better now, so she's good. Oh what else
is going on? Oh? So okay, So yesterday after we
did shots of tequila, Ralph Machio comes in from the
interview and so we sit down with Ralph Montill and
we did a great interview. We played it back on
Today's show, the Thursday Show, so we had forty minutes
to kill. We had nothing to do for forty minutes
(05:07):
because everything's pre produced and producer Sam edited the thing
up beautifully. So Gandi exhibit says, what are we gonna do?
I said, let's go for a walk. So Gandhi and
I went on a walk in Central.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Park and I would like to do it more.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
It was awesome. Yeah, thank you Ralph Baccio for that
brief recess.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
It was like recess that was the best part of school.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
Did you track your steps, like, like, did you go
a mile?
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Or oh, I don't know. It probably wasn't a mile.
I don't know. We went sixth Avenue all the way
to the park and then down through the park and
up to up to Central Park South again.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
But it isn't Isn't it crazy? We have this destination
three blocks away that people come from the entire world
to go see and we're so close. Andrew and I
one day, it was just some random day of the week,
and I looked at him and go, let's.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Take a walk.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
We walked through Central Park and we see these people
taking pictures.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
It's right there. The language. We're like, how great is this?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
We have this destination, one of the most photographed places
in the world, and it's right here.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
And we're never there.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Yeah, we're never there.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
We're never there.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
But the spot we hit from where we are, if
we go right past, like one hotel, that's the best
spot of Central part well, to me, it's one of
the best parts of Central.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
There's a lot of reservoirs. Pretty cool. Yeah, go uptown,
go to the Bramble for the bramble. Oh yeah, that's
what the gay guy used to blow. Gay guys used
to blow each other at night.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Wait, oh, well, I didn't hear that part.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
About I didn't do it. I've never done that.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
You seem to have a lot of knowledge.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
No, no, no, no, it's a big It was a big thing.
I think they still do. I don't know, Scotty Bee,
maybe should hit Um, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go
take a walk. But what I noticed was, and we
talked about this on the show, we're in this room
during rush hour, So while you're in traffic, while you're
walking around streets of New York City, or in a
(06:49):
traffic jam on some highway somewhere in the world. We're
in this room. We don't really experience morning drive. We
don't experience the morning rush hour.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
One of my old program directors one day, he goes, Hey,
record tomorrow's show. What I want you guys to do
is just drive around because he wanted us to see
what it was like to be a listener and commuting.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
It's interesting. Traffic fucking sucks. Why I don't want to
deal with traffic, dealing with time seven o'clock. But what
we did dealt with today was walking around on the
busy streets of New York City. The buzz is going on,
people are going to work, people at jogging. It was wild.
There's a world going on out there.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
This city is alive, it is. It's a lot happening.
People are exercising, a lot of people in backpacks, people
with suitcases. There's so much going on.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
We went to the park and we bought pastries.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
We did.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
It's funny.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
All the crackheads from across they vanished.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
I don't know where they go, though, I.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Think the cops come and clear them out.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
They have to go to the park, they go for
a walk.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
We saw we saw one, and well then the second
one was wrapped in a blanket on you saw that
may not have been on crack though, I don't know.
The person was standing completely still in the middle of traffic.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Maybe they were dead. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
And then the little junkie town that usually sets up
right behind the studio that wasn't there today. So it
was a nice, clear little walk.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
I like it uptown. You know, I'm a downtown guy,
but coming uptown it's okay. I kind of like it
up here.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
We sell some apartments when we'll look at Yeah, we
got things to do.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
We should take your wienie roller out to the park
and sell some hot to make some money.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Get your license now, Okay.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
So that's just my only thing. There's that one area
when you walk into Central Park where all the horses are,
and it smells like horseshit and pete and there are
two food vendors right there. I feel like you really
need to separate those things.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Horseshit and pieces a part of New York City, you know,
it was that part of it. Anyway, It's gotta get
used to it.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
That.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Yeah, there's it spells like horseshit and you look at that.
That's stand. It has like the meal, the wheel of meat.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Yeah, you're like, god, no, God, how much time?
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Oh, we're eight medicine.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
You know.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
It's sorry, it's our fifteen minute morning show podcast, but
it's the summer hours. We only do five an hour
up to eight. Yeah, we're done? Are we done? Media
