Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the Morning Show
on a show here, more and more stories coming out
about all the flooding going on here in the.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Northeast after crazy storms, and that water is just looking
for a place to go. It can't find a place
other than your street. So be careful wherever you're driving.
If you if you see that lake in front of you,
it's a lake. Keep that in mind. You used to
be a street. Now do not Now it's lake ted Kaka.

(00:29):
Do not drive through there anyway. Be careful. The water
will go away.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Eventually.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Speaking of water, we're all going to be on the
ferry today heading over to Cherry's Cherry Grove for Uncle
Johnny's memorial memorial.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
I don't know what to call it.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
It is a memorial at the same time, celebration. Definitely
a celebration. There's gonna be drag queens involved. I mean,
what could go wrong. Some of our best friends are
showing up to perform in honor of Uncle Johnny today.
I know that Alex is making up. He's in bed
listening to the show right now. It's gonna be a
big day for us. I wonder if it's okay if

(01:05):
I tell the story. Now, I'm gonna ask you. I
have a story I want to tell it. I gotta
get his permission first. Okay, we'll get into that.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Can I say something about this?

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Please do, please say many things.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
If you would have been part of the group chat
this weekend about how we were figuring out how to
get there, who was going, who was driving, what the
scenario was, you would have thrown yourself from a cliff.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Why? What was a fiasco to say the least.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, I mean, it's not easy to get there. It
takes a lot of work to get there.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
So when we were trying to figure out the carpool,
and then Andrew came to the table with, hey, guys,
let's take a party bus. And the party bus price
was I thought, actually pretty good for what it was.
But then people started dropping like flies one by one.
Then Scary came, you know, with his l I got
a limo and this limo drove in Totio Brown when
he had a melt up.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Let you know, it's weird, I say, a limo. Do
they still clubbing or something?

Speaker 4 (02:00):
They do still have?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
By the way, did you did you get a limo
with a stripper pole and first memorial.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
My buddy Kenny Escalade has got all the vehicles.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Oh my god, is that on his birth certificate Cascalaide.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
Well, I don't know if it's his real last name,
but people people in the bas they call him Kenny Escalate.
So so between him and two other contacts, I had,
I put myself out there and I got a very
reasonable quote for like a sprinter or a Limo or
a or a bunch of SUVs to get like twelve
of us.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
There, right, you should call Sammy's sprinter. I hear, well
to the long Lenny Lemo, he's got one.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
The problem is when you open it up for debate
and you give everybody a vote in the case like this,
it should not be a democracy because it's like what well,
it's like either you pay this price or not. Because
now I have like egg on my face because I
went back to all my contacts and I'm like, yeah,
that that price is too expensive.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Okay, But here's the thing about all of it. Andrew
had a price, everybody was like, Okay, that's fine. Scary
comes to the table with three other options that were
the same price. So we're like, what are you doing.
You just jumped in here and made it all complicated
for the same price.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Well, Scary tends to do that from time to time.
I don't think the hourly.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Okay, So how are you so as it ends up?
How are you guys getting to do the ferry and whatever?
How are you getting there?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Scotty bee baby? Yeah, well Scotty's driving. Scotty's driving us
a couple, a couple of us. Yeah. Nice, Okay, we'll
find way home from there.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Of course, because of travel problems, Daniel couldn't get back
from Florida. We'll represent, we'll represent for you, Daniel. We'll
miss you too.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I'm really upset that I can't be there.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
So when does Josh coming in coach to boy, Josh,
we have a conversation we have to have with him.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
I don't know he He.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Actually worked hard on getting some files to and including
Uncle Johnny singing It's wonder Wonderful World and some other
production he did which would be played at the memorial.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Today.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I can't speak, sorry, so it's gonna be an interesting day.
I've never been to a memorial to say goodbye to
a friend and have Dray Queens perform me it's gonna
be a lot of fun. It's gonna be good. It's
gonna be a good day, a day that Uncle Johnny
would love.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
I'm sure. So there you go, Yes, Nate, Okay, when
I go, this is what I want you to do
for me. Don't do anything immediately, right because I feel
like there's sadness. People are still, you know, shocked that
somebody's gone. But after a couple of months, you can
really celebrate the fact that they made such an impact
in your life, you know what I mean, you do.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Look at it differently. It's a whole different point of
view after they've been gone for a little while.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Logoa, if we did this for my uncle several months
after he passed and everybody, I mean, there's still sadness
in some tears, but you can really just realize that
everybody's here because of this person here months later, not
out of obligation, but because you just want to be
there right.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Right, absolutely, and we will. It'll it'll be a good day,
and I'm just so happy you guys are going. You know,
Gandhi and Nate have never been to Long Island, or
Long Island, to a fire Island. No, You'll love it.
It's it's gonna be I mean, it's awesome. There is

(05:22):
a chance of rain today, but it doesn't matter. It's
gonna be covered. And we're good. We're good, and we'll
be together. Okay, we'll have a couple of cocktails, enjoy
the day. Then then we'll move on with our lives.
Why are you giggling?

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Because when you put a couple of cocktails in the
hands of these people in the middle of the day game.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
And yeah, Nate, we got a monitor. You're drinking, no
offense you you do tend to front load. You're drinking,
so you're you're wasted, like in the the first fifteen minutes.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Correct that we have to sit there and look at you.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Well I can't actually, I telling Scottie, I can't really
drink too much because I'm going to be taking some
medication because as you know, I'm camping, and but I
will have to go in because of the dog, so
I can't get too drunk.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
It will interact with the medications.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Oh wait, aren't there maybe supposed to be storms today?
You're going to camp in a storm?

Speaker 4 (06:13):
You know what Our ancestors did it for thousands of years.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
They died they're dead. What happened to them? They're to
get dysentery in his backyard?

Speaker 4 (06:22):
I mean I got knock on wood.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Well, all right, so it'll be another day for us
to get together. You know, this is our third get
together in three weeks, is it not?

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Yeah, keep them coming.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
I love it. I love it.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
I mean we're getting together. First was a surprise birthday
party for me. The second one was a pool party
out here. Now this one is a memorial, But it
sounds like it's gonna be a great day.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
I don't know. We seem to be having a lot
of fun with each other. Have you noticed it? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:50):
All right, let's get into the three things we actually do, Danielle.
We actually tolerate each other.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
You know what.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
There are many days we just do our thing for
four hours and then we just go our separate ways.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
We don't see each other until tomorrow morning, you know,
or the next day whatever. Now everyone's wants everyone wants in.
