Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the morning show.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Oh, we'll see, uh, maybe go around the room, see
what's on your mind.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Still trying to find Nate in this train.
Speaker 4 (00:12):
Okay, let's go around the room. See what's on your mind.
We'll start with you, Gandhi.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
What's going on? All right?
Speaker 5 (00:18):
So it's Wednesday, which means my podcast comes out today
and sauce on the side. My special guest is Jim Kerr,
our friend from down the Hallway four. He's amazing. He
said something about radio that I had never thought of
in the way he said it, and our boss Mark
Adams sort of just hit on it a little while
ago two and he said, there are no experiences like
this anymore, where everybody is sharing something at the same time.
(00:41):
You're going through something at the same time. Sometimes you
can be in your car and look over and the
person next to you is singing the same song at
the same time, and it's a shared experience that now
with streaming and everything on demand, has just dwindled so much.
And that's why live TV gets such a big push
when there's a Super Bowl, the Olympics, things like that.
It's really important to take a mon and take that
in because it's like you're sharing this experience of life
(01:03):
with friends.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
We are a live event every day, every day, and
I love that. That's a very good point.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Go Jim Kerr, we love you.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Hey, producer Sam, what's going on with you today?
Speaker 3 (01:12):
I want to know if.
Speaker 5 (01:13):
Anyone else does this ELVISI we're having a conversation earlier,
and I didn't want to interrupt as I walked through,
so I crouched down.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yeah. I do that all the time.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
It was my whole life, and it's come to my
attention that not everyone does that for people. It's almost
as you know, if you want to walk in front
of a camera, you got you bend down and so
you're not in the in the lens. Yeah, the lens
of scope, whatever scope of lens. I was face to
face with David Katz out there, and she walked between us,
but she went down like she was like head was
(01:42):
like at my navel, like.
Speaker 5 (01:43):
Your I First of all, you know how I love
your navel, And second of all, I didn't want to
break I don't like breaking up.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
People's eye contact when they're having conversations.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
So I don't want my head to go through the stream.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
I appreciate that, but I think the fact that you
did the like dilembo right there in front of him
was more distracted.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
If you just walk through, it might be true.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
All right, I'm standing erect.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
Henceforth in shame on us for like hogging up the
whole walkway.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
That happens. We have narrow walkways in spaces. It's true.
We got to fix that. Thank you so much. Your
fag is foggy? What's up with you today?
Speaker 6 (02:14):
So Danielle was here yesterday. She's in our Jacksonville studios
and this morning everybody here in the building is trying
to print and there's all this stuff just rolling off
the printer and I'm like, is this yours? I go
around every studio is yours or no? I realized Danielle
was printing all of her stuff there. She was printing
it here.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Sorry, isn't that crazy? How am I here printing in
jacks Head?
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Around?
Speaker 3 (02:38):
That crazy?
Speaker 6 (02:41):
So now I got to go find more paper because
Danielle basically printed enough to yell a forest.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
And can I just I was looking for the because
I always shred all the paper after I do it
so that we can recycle it.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
And I was looking for the shredder yesterday there was
there's no shredder.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
We don't have that. They don't have Florida doesn't believe
in shredding. No, we don't have that. Here.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
They're people, Hey, uh, scary, what's up? You know it's
been said on the show before, but it's worth repeating.
And that is, if you're if you're taking a route
from to and from work or wherever you are in
life every day in doing the same thing and it's monotonous,
do something different. I start Gandhi encouraged me to start
(03:19):
taking a new way to work home from work rather
and then Sam said, hey, why don't we go this way?
So you see new things, You experience new places, You
see things that didn't you knew that didn't know you
knew existed. And now I'm telling you and challenging you
if you're going to the same toll booth or you're
going to challenge yourself to make a left instead of
a right.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
People with OCD are driving up the road right now.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
Do something completely different, buy a different products right, do
something different that hasn't been done right, like well, for instance,
that was Nate's around the room.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yesterday wasn't really you're kidding me right, exactly what he
said yesterday?
Speaker 3 (04:02):
My god, deja vu.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
I tell you what now, Nate, you do your around
the room so we can see what's scary is and
to talk about tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
I can't wait for you to tell us about the
fax machine tomorrow are scary?
Speaker 4 (04:12):
You know?
Speaker 2 (04:13):
I just realized that we were having that discussion. People
didn't know how the fax machine work. I did some digging.
Did you know the fax machine was invented before the telephone?
Eleven years before the telephone?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Really, you can.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
Send a picture from England to France faster than you
can speak to somebody.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Sorry, I just had to I don't know how does
that work. I still don't know.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
Still I said, the pulses of electricity are easier to
transmit than voice.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Maybe, I guess. I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
Scary tomorrow, the fax machine fascinating, Danielle, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (04:42):
So when we were in Hollywood studios in Disney, they
had these huge carts, you know how Taylor Swift gets
on and off the stage sometimes to like hide those
big big so a bunch of them kept coming through
and I'm like, who they wheeling through?
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Is Taylor Swift here? Like who is Justin Bieber? Like who?
I'm trying to figure it out. I'm like something, maybe
who is it?
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Well, you know what it was, you know those three
D rides and the glasses and then they have to
clean the glasses and bring them back. Yeah, that's what
it was, some buzz lightyear game things Swift.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
It was not Taylor Swift. It was glasses.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
And there you go. Never hurts to be curious.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
No, I was curious, and you know what it's And
to fantasize that maybe that was, you know, Chris Hemsworth
in there.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
I did think that at one point it was a
little small for him.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
You can bend him around. Daniel
