What Tom Cruise does to look taller. He puts like
little lifts in his shoes.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
Yeah, he puts lifts in his boots. Anyway. Yeah, it's
weird being tall. I don't like living in a world
being tall and living in a world. There, boy, I
can barely breathe. Oh my god, an airplane just hit
me in the head.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I love it because whenever you wear heels, people tell you, oh,

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Exactly.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
That's what you need to bring that part up.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
A small house fire, never heard anyone.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
Let's get into the three things we need to know? Gandhi,
what's going on today?

Speaker 3 (04:21):
A lot?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
All right?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
After hours of testimony, the Texas State Board of Education
narrowly approved to allow Bible teachings and elementary schools. The
curriculum designed by the state's Public Education agency would include
teachings on subjects like the Golden Rule and lessons from
books like Genesis. Under the current plan, schools would not
be required to teach the lessons, but they would be
in line for additional funding if they do. Talk show

(04:44):
host Alex Jones is suing The Onion. Attorneys for Jones
filed a lawsuit Monday, claiming that the website, which we
all know is rife with satire, submitted an illegitimate bid
for the assets of his parent company. Last week. The
Onion said it was buying info Wars with the support
of Sandy Hook Families and was planning to relaunch the
conspiracy website as another satirical website. In twenty twenty two,

(05:06):
Alex Jones was ordered to pay one point four billion
dollars in damages to the Sandy Hook Families for claiming
that the twenty twelve shooting massacre was a hoax.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
What a mess?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Such a mess.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
It's interesting. I've never heard someone say, well, they defendant?
Is the Onion right?

Speaker 10 (05:22):
Like?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
What? And finally, Texas officials are announcing what caused a
piece of the roof of AT and T Stadium to
fall onto the field on Monday night. A statement from
the city of Arlington summed up the findings of a
city building inspector, the Deputy fire Marshal, and the Cowboys organization.
The metal piece that crashed to the ground was the
cover of a cable tray containing low voltage electrical wires.

(05:45):
The cover had not been properly secured, and when the
roof was open, the wind blew it loose. That mishap
took place before Monday night's game against the Houston Texans,
but it did cause a little chaos. And those are
your three things you guys.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Ready for your Wednesday.

Speaker 11 (05:58):
Yeah, coming on Elvis Duran in the morning show. We
are f Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

New York City night last night. You know, Danielle usually
is the at the forefront of going out, like seven
nights a week. Yeah, usually shows and dinners. I went
out and had a little dinner last night.

Speaker 3 (06:26):

were pretty. It's a Mediterranean but with a fun spin.
Just unbelievable. I can't wait. We got we gotta go
to these places.

Speaker 7 (06:38):
Yeah, I've never been there. I never even heard of
that place.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
It's z o U z o u s. Look it up.
It's the most beautiful, beautiful restaurant. It's gorgeous. It was nice, nice, anyway,
it was a nice, like glittery night, and it was
kind of funny. I was driving down some street, you know, anyway,
and I could see at the end of the street
Mickey Mouse's head floating by.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Oh.

Speaker 7 (07:02):
Yeah, there was like a big drone show last night.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Yeah. It was you have the ship, you know, the
Disney ship. Yeah, and anyway, they had a big drone show. Unbelievable. Yeah,
it's weird. When I thought I had too much to drink,
I don't know. I saw Mickey's head float by.

Speaker 7 (07:15):

Sounds like my family, and so no one wanted to
go to the tiki you know, I'm your tiki room person.
I don't get it. The tiki room is it's just
it's it's tradition.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
It's like it is.

Speaker 7 (08:43):
It's part of the original Disney structure. It's like you
time stands still in the Tiki room.

Speaker 5 (08:49):

Speaker 5 (09:04):
When I go to Disney, I have to go alone.
I just sit in the like here's a grown man saying,

I love you. See, I don't want to say these
things because we have to take Gandhi to Disney for
the very first time, and she's she's going to run
from the Tiki Room.

Speaker 7 (14:11):
The Tika Room's right across the street from Aladdin's Flying Carpet.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
It's right there. You go on that first, and then
you run over to the teak.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
It's all the old stuff. Come on, Gandhi, please promise
you'll go to the teka room with it.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
I will absolutely go to the tea room with you, guys.
There's nothing stopping me. I'm excited.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
Did you know the Tiki room is actually sixty one
years old? Is it really it's older than me? Hey,
I'm Scotty B.

Speaker 14 (14:34):
And I'm Andrew and we have a podcast called serial Killers.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
Have you ever been in the Cereal Island?

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Elvis Terran in the Morning Show, all right, we want to.

Speaker 15 (14:55):
Let you in on a little secret that's helping people
find relief from that annoying, itching, scratching feeling that you
get from dry eye that just doesn't seem to go away.
It's called my BO, also known as perfluoro hexaloctane ophthalmic solution.
My BO is used to treat the signs and symptoms

(15:16):
of dry eye disease, and it's the first and only
prescription drop that directly targets the number one cause of
dry eye, which is too much tear evaporation. Remove your
contact lenses before using my bo, and then wait at
least thirty minutes before putting them back in. Eye redness
and blurred vision may occur. If you're looking for dry
eye relief, ask your doctor about a different kind of

(15:38):
eye drop prescription my Bo Call one eight hundred five
to five three fifty three forty. That's one eight hundred
five five three fifty three forty, or visit MyBO dot
com and that's spelled mii ebo dot com to learn more.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Elvis Terran and The Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
Oh my gosh, we're I went thirty six minutes in
and we're already eating.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
Absolutely, the You know, when we do research on our show,
we talked to hundreds of thousands of people. Ask them, Mike,
what do you like about the show? Yeah, it's the
show that eats.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
That's yeah, we are known as the show that he eats.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Or sure, going on, I'm watching scary do it?

Speaker 5 (16:15):
What's he doing?

Speaker 2 (16:17):
He just jams something in his pie hole. I don't
know what that was.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
What do you eating that sandwich? What is that? Well
ask Jared? Jared's the chef. Good morning Jared, Hey, good
morning guys.

Speaker 16 (16:27):
Well, yeah, he wants to know what's on the sandwich.
So what you're looking at is my take on a
steak and eggs. It's a brioschban with a fresh fried
lodka ribby steak, little chipoleoli, samarugula, and a fried egg.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
There you go. It's got that potato pancake on the
hanging out. So you know, when Andrews said you were
coming in, he originally called you dinner parties with Jared
or something like that. So you're kind of famous for
dinner parties. Like what's the dinner party concept that you would?
What Gandhi's in?

Speaker 4 (16:57):
What?

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Oh is this?

Speaker 2 (16:58):
I see we know him through a common friend, and
I see that friend posting these massive dinner parties all
the time.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Is that you?

Speaker 5 (17:05):
That is med been through Nick? Right?

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Whoa?

Speaker 5 (17:07):
Yeah? So okay, So tell the story about dinner parties
because we all love throwing them, but I don't.

Speaker 16 (17:12):
Know if we know how to do it like you, Well,
for starters, I'm going to say that you guys called
me famous, so I can hold that for the rest
of my life.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Okay, Right, So dinner parties.

Speaker 16 (17:20):
I came back to New York around November twenty twenty,
and I always tell people that it was when things
were closed. We can only have about I think eight
people in the room. It was one of those things,
and I'd come back to the city and I've kind
of wanted to socialize with some of my friends, anyone
who was kind of left in the city. I'd spend
twelve months back in Los Angeles, where I'm from, and
I had been throwing. We'd been the game the designated

(17:42):
GameHouse at my family's house. Every Friday, we'd have the
same families over, our friends over. We would host dinner
parties there and I would cook for them. And then
I always be like, what's on the menu every Friday.
So when I came back to New York November twenty twenty,
I said, you know what, I'm going to do this
every Friday. So every Friday, I'd have a group of
like six to eight people over. We would do a
very small scale type of menu, maybe like steak, salad, potatoes, whatever.

(18:03):
It was, and we would just kind of you know,
chit chat socialize in a time when it was really difficult.
And I feel like as more and more people came
back to the city, you know, as the city started
to open up, everyone was like, I.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
Want to come to this dinner party. So you had
to keep doing it, even though the pandemic was like
not roaring anymore.

Speaker 16 (18:17):
Honestly, I'm trying to stop, but I'm too deep in
right now. So I feel like I thank it up now.
So what had happened was it kind of got to
the point where it was growing and everyone will say this,
I can't say no. I just don't know how to
say no. And so people will constantly be like, hey,
can I come, And I'm I mean, I only have
so much true in my apartment. But I would say
we average about twenty five and thirty people every dinner party.

(18:37):
And so what happened as I stopped doing it every Friday,
and I said, you know what, I want to do
this every other Friday. Get people a little you know,
ability to socialize. Yeah, And you know what I was
telling Elvis is that we kind of turned it into
a democracy. There's like a group chat people try and
fight into the group chat because there's twelve or fourteen
different themes of cuisine that the group votes on, and
then all send out a menu and then everyone will
claim a seat. Wow, and so we won't we won't

(19:00):
repeat a menu item until we get through all fourteen
of them. So it gives everyone an opportunity to kind of,
you know, try some different food and also just kind
of see a different crowd.

Speaker 5 (19:08):
I love this. You know, here in New York City
and in many cities and towns, there are these dinner
parties where you sign up, you go and there's no
one there. You know, you go meet these people, you
sit next to them, there's a chef bringing out this
great food, and you're talking. It's it's really a great concept.
A lot of people are afraid to do it. They're like,
I'm all nervous going to a party with people that
don't know. I think it's an awesome, awesome concept. Yeah,

(19:29):
and so okay, so we would sit down, so so Jared,
we would sit down and we would vote on a
theme for the party. Correct, so it could be Mexican
or Asian.

Speaker 16 (19:37):
Yeah, there are traditional themes that you would think of.
You have like you have breakfast for dinner, you have Asian, Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean.
I say, every year, or every time we get through
the cycle, we try and add some new ones. So
this time around we added like pies and pockets right
meeting Shepherd's pie pie imants in a pire pocket every time.

(19:57):
So I mean, I like to say, so I basically
charge my friend twenty five dollars. That's it, and they
can come, they can drink my booze, they best at
my apartment, and they leave.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
It's pretty much like the cheapest part. Why would we
go anywhere else?

Speaker 10 (20:08):
Right?

Speaker 5 (20:08):
Exactly because he says he can't say no. I can't
say no.

Speaker 16 (20:14):
But I think what I've come to love about is
what I tell people is that you know, Elvis, like
you were saying, it's becoming a new thing because people
are looking for new ways to socialize and looking for
new ways to meet people. I've always had like a
very diverse friend group, and I've always been about very
pro like crossing your friends because you never know what's
going to stick, right, and so it's nice if you
have girls and you have guys. And what I also say,

(20:35):
what I think is kind of uh, you know, you're
really under the radar or really under the microscope in
New York because you have a city where you know,
so many people expect you to be doing something every
day or and I feel like I've been there and
I know what it feels like to not have plans
then have to respond to those people about wanting to
go out, and then you don't have anything. And so
that's why I like dinner Party has kind of grown
into something bigger than what he started. Is because everyone

(20:57):
knows they running the consistency of every other Friday. If
you don't have plans, you can always show up, but
I'm going to let you in, so you can always
have something where even if you're not invited, you can
come by. I'm not going to stop it. And so
that's it's.

Speaker 5 (21:07):
Not meaning new people check my calendar for this Friday
because I do have a spare twenty five dollars. I
got twenty five dollars, all right, So Jared Okay. His
catering company is essentially called wagon Catering because he pulls
everything around this little stupid wagon over here. That wagon's
done right by you. Though, if you just go on
line at Wagon Catering you can see Jared. You can
see what he's doing. I mean, people would have feel

(21:29):
like they're getting value for their hard earned money twenty
five dollars. I got to work with you on that.
We got a light. I mean, do you break even
at least? I mean, do you make a little money.

Speaker 16 (21:39):
I do because I was like, listen, we're inflation proof, right,
so we're good.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
You're out of your mind anyway. It sounds like a
lot of fun. And you know what. I love this concept.
Two concepts you have brought up to this morning. The
dinner party. Have dinner parties at your house. You don't
always have to meet at a restaurant, no, do it.
It's fun and plan ahead so you don't have to
cook while they're there. Secondly, breakfast for dinner. I love
the concept. Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Oh my god, this food looks amazing.

Speaker 5 (22:10):
What are you looking at?

Speaker 2 (22:11):
I think I'm looking at his personal page.

Speaker 5 (22:13):
Uh oh, remember he remember he can't say no watch out,
so just check out at Wagon Catering, jareds are waiting
for you. I love that you can't even Thanks for
this incredible breakfast. I love I love the sausage gravy
on oh Wow, look at you. Look at that thing
an mayo. No, it doesn't.

Speaker 15 (22:33):
That's on the breakfast for dinner and we're eating it
for breakfast.

Speaker 5 (22:38):
That isakfast. I love that.

Speaker 16 (22:40):
So before you leave any of the thoughts, can I
give a shout out to my parents? You can do
just ask me way too many times So West Coast,
I want to say, you know, I love you, Mom
and Dad.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
Mark Foreman and Susan Foreman.

Speaker 16 (22:49):
Would not be here without your unwavering support and also
their incredible ability to be the worst cooks in the world.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
They have a reason to keep it coming back. All right, Jerry,
thank you so much for coming in again. Instagram at
Wagon Catering, Wagon Catering. Check it. Let's get in Danielle's report. Jared,
don't leave. I'm gonna come out there and say, Hi,
I'm just egg salad he made is amazing. Don't eat
it's got man, you and your wag.

Speaker 7 (23:16):
I looked at the box because he's very it's very organized,
and he has everything listed and he has every ingredient,
which I guess is good for people with allergy stuff
like that. So a while, Oh this has mayo, Oh
that has mayo. Oh this has Mayo like, oh, well,
that's all right, This fruit salad is delicious, Mayo, no
Mayo on that.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (23:35):
All right? So today is the.

Speaker 7 (23:36):
Day we are putting Liam Payne to rest. His funerals
being held today. It will be a private service attended
by a close family friends and of course Louis, Nialls,
Zane and Harry, all of his uh friends from one direction.
And a source is saying that Liam may have been
a global superstar, but to his parents he will always
be their little boy. So yeah, gosh, man, I got

(23:58):
goosebumps just saying that Travis Scott is this year's highest
selling black artists in the world based on ticket sales.
He is followed by Usher and then Akon, So congratulations
to Travis.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
So can you believe this one?

Speaker 7 (24:10):
Netflix is facing a class action lawsuit over that poor
streaming quality during the Mike Tyson Jake Pal Fire.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (24:18):
So the guy that filed His name is Ronald Blue Denton.
He's from Florida, and he is claiming that viewers experienced
legendary problems including not being able to actually access the fight, glitches,
buffering issues, you know, you know, but I have a
feeling he's not gonna get anything from this. I mean, really,
he's not gonna get anything. He's just wasting everyone else's
money and time. That's thinking at this point.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
But I have a question. People pay for Netflix, so
when you pay for something, you expect it to actually
work and be delivered. There were people who missed entire
portions of the fight. You don't think they can get anything.

Speaker 7 (24:49):
And maybe they can get like a month free or
something like something like that, but I don't think they're
gonna get like major money.

Speaker 5 (24:55):
Don't suffering, don't hold your breath, yeah, anyone, but we'll see.

Speaker 7 (25:01):
Yellow Jackets now has a season three premiere date Valentine's Day,
twenty twenty five, So if you are a fan, you
are excited about that.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
All right, let's talk a little bit about Wicked.

Speaker 7 (25:09):
It arrives in your theaters this weekend tomorrow, little preview start.
I have my tickets for tomorrow. I cannot wait.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Oh my god.

Speaker 7 (25:16):
Anyway, in case you didn't know, and you didn't notice
the NonStop promotion, it is out there. It looks like
it is gonna make about one hundred and fifty million
dollars in its opening weekend. Now five weeks ago. The
prediction was half that amount. But there's been press junkets,
there's been no merch, there's It's is insane.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
The two hour and.

Speaker 7 (25:37):
Forty minute film is very faithful to the Broadway musical,
which I know a lot of people were worried about.
So we're happy about that. It is the first half.
It is the first act because next year we get
second half. You know, That's how it's working. Viewers of
early previews gave it a ninety nine percent favorable rating
at Rotten Tomatoes. For every twenty movie critics, nineteen have

(25:58):
raved about Wicked and screening that thirty eight hundred theaters
will begin tomorrow afternoon.

Speaker 5 (26:02):
Now, I told Daniel something this way. I read one
of the producers of The Crown wanted to do a
version of a Wicked with Lady Gaga and Shawn Mendez.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
So this was supposed to happen.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
Working on it.

Speaker 7 (26:14):
Yes, Gaga was going to be playing Alphaba, that's who
Cynthia Rivo is playing, and Shawn Mendez was actually going
to be playing Prince Fierro, who Jonathan Bailey is playing.
It was going on, they were going to film it.
They were working on it. And then a lot of
stuff happened, scheduling conflicts during the pandemic, people had to
you know, drop out, and it just never happened. And

(26:36):
now we have John Cheo's version, which is supposed to
be absolutely brilliant.

Speaker 5 (26:41):
Can we talk about rotten tomatoes for a second. Okay,
did you know your stupid movie of Frosty? What is it?
Hot Frosty, Hot Frosty. Yeah, got higher rotten tomatoes than
gladiat Or two.

Speaker 7 (26:54):
There you go, there you go, Hot Frosty.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Baby, Oh no, don't do pooh pooh, my hot frost
I was excited about Glady heat Or two and now
I'm concerned.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
Yeah, I know Garrett, Garrett saw it last night. Well
ask him a little bit.

Speaker 7 (27:07):
Yeah, okay, okay, there's a piece of you guys have
seen that piece of artwork. It's a banana and it's
like duct taped to like a wall. And this is okay,
it's called Comedian. That's the title of the art. Now, basically,
the duct tape, if you bite in a store, is
eight bucks and the banana's like twenty five cents wherever
you get it. This could go at auction for over
a million dollars. God, this who I'm gonna tape like

(27:31):
some grapes to something, or like I don't know, an avocado,
and see if I can make any.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Banana not rotten yet. It's been around for years.

Speaker 7 (27:39):
At this point, I don't know. You need to google
that many questions. All right, don't call my house tonight
because I'll be watching Christmas and nodding hill. I have
not watched it yet, but it is my next one
on my rom com list. You also have the CMA
Awards going down tonight. Lady Wilson joins Luke Bryan and
Peyton Manning. You've got all your cargo shows, the Mass Singer.

(28:01):
This one's for you to Gandhi, the serious premiere of
Our Oceans on Netflix. Also the series premiere of wish
List Games on Amazon, and The Married Gentleman on Netflix.
So lots of good stuff to watch. And that's my
Danielle report.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Gandhi has a new game today. What are we working on, Gandhi?

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Oh, today's pretty easy. It's artists who were born in November.
Oh okay, if this place is like Goldilocks, it's too easy,
it's too hard. I don't know what to do with.

Speaker 5 (28:27):
Nobody's going to beat Yesterday's is good, amazing. Yeah, you
know you messed this yesterday, Nate. We had a contestant.
She flew through this thing and she was awesome. Oh man,
I wish I hadn't missed it. That never happens. You'll
you'll miss it today because we'll have a mad contestion.
Lots to do. Also, Kiki Palmer's coming in later on.
We got a thousand dollars fee mini phones. What to day.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
I want to see what we actually look like.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Oolack o fairy princess that resides over the pits of Hell.

Speaker 11 (28:53):
Follow us on Instagram at Elvis Duran show how many

let's talk about gladiat Or two. Hey, Garrett saw it
last night, said he loved it. Yeah, yeah, I want
to see it too.

Speaker 7 (29:32):
I still think that they made a mistake opening at
the same weekend as Wicked.

Speaker 5 (29:35):
I don't know. Well, well, I'm sure Lou great lot
of Paul Meschal fans out there.

Speaker 7 (29:42):
Oh yeah, oh my gosh, Abby's obsessed with him.

Speaker 5 (29:44):
Well, if you love miss gall I know, you drink
Miss gall all you want. It's not pronounced miss caall.
But yeah, they did a story about him on CBS
Sunday Morning this past weekend. It was fantastic. If you
do a search for Paul mescal and CB A Sunday Morning,
you can watch the whole thing. Gandhi, any desire to
see Gladiator two, I'm ready to go.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
I really do want to see Gladiator two. I love
the first one. But now that I'm hearing whatever reviews
from different people, I don't know. I also think though,
it's going to be a completely different audience than Wicked.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
Yeah, yeah, they don't sing in the Gladiator two.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
They don't. They don't whip out their like swords and start.

Speaker 7 (30:21):
Singing kill him.

Speaker 5 (30:24):
Maybe Gladiator three. So our Abbey is here. She's so
excited about Gladiator two because it's historically significant, right, that's
why you want to Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Care a lot about that aspect.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Out except for the hot guy in it. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
I didn't think, no, you would see because of Paul
Paul meskal right.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
Yes, the actual plot is none of my business.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
Stand there and do nothing and I buy tickets.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
I go.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
Did you see that CBS Sunday Morning piece on him? No,
do a search for it. Yeah it was. Yeah, you'll
you'll fall in you'll fall in love with him even
more perfect. And they show them, you know, doing a
walk and talk around some campus. Uh, I think the
college he went to. And then within moments, like five
thousand women are following there.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
Real, that's real of them me.

Speaker 5 (31:15):
So it's a it's a film that has everything.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Yeah, and he's Irish, right he is, he is.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
It's the best part. Has got that accent. Go do
it anyway, So Gabby, thanks for coming in.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
Of course, thank you.

Speaker 5 (31:27):
I don't know what to talk to you about because
you're making me nervous.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
It's so funny.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
Sorry, she's making me nervous. So Garrett saw it last night.
So is he gonna come in? He's gonna give us
a review. Chris Christia, what did you think of Paul
mescal I mean Gladiator too, I.

Speaker 13 (31:48):
Thought it was a fantastic film. I saw it in
one of the mystery movies that Regal amc and Cinema
have and it made mine Monday. It made me so
excited and happy.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
Wait.

Speaker 5 (32:00):
Regal Cinemas they say, hey, we're having a film. We're
not going to tell you what it is, just show up.
And it was that. Yep, it was Gladiator too. How
lucky are you? How fun?

Speaker 13 (32:09):
It was amazing?

Speaker 5 (32:10):
Wow? So yes, no thumbs up, thumbs down.

Speaker 13 (32:14):
Thumbs up, way way up, all the way.

Speaker 5 (32:16):
That's what did you like about it?

Speaker 13 (32:19):
I like that it didn't shy away from anything. It
was super gory. Denzel Washington put his all in it. Wow,
everything had to toe. He was amazing, from the timing
was on screen to his last scene. Paul Mescal also
put his all into it, as I feel like they
were saying that when they were promoting it throughout the

(32:42):
past couple of weeks. I've never seen Paul Mescal and anything,
and I was like, I don't know who this guy.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Is, but he was great.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Wow.

Speaker 13 (32:49):
And he's only twenty eight, So I'm like, well, you
have a great career ahead of you.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
Wow, look at that. So you just gave a glowing review.

Speaker 7 (32:56):
No, maybe this is a good thing because maybe if you,
you know, have people in your family that like different things,
one goes Gladiator and one will go Wicked, and like
you meet at the end and discuss.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
There you go, I'll meet you in the lobby. Here
we go. All right, Well, thank you so much, have
a great day. Thank you for listening to us.

Speaker 13 (33:13):
Thank you so much, Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
Honored to have you. Thank you so much. So, Garrett,
what do you think of Gladiator too? I mean, how
can I top that review right there? I mean, she
summed it up perfectly. It was. I mean, the energy
in the theater was like people that were literally waiting
twenty four years for this film, and just the excitement
the gore was to say, the gore was fun to watch.
It's weird to say, but we see that here every

(33:36):
day in our room. But like she said, Denzel was
amazing too. His storyline in the film is great because
you hear Denzel like where is he going to fit in?
But it fits in perfectly with it. I mean, just
you almost left the theater wanting to charge out like
a gladiator. Oh boy, let's not try that at least. Yeah,
another great thing about this is, of course, Denzel Washington's

(33:58):
out doing the publicity yeah, for the film, and we're
learning a lot about his life now, his past, his
trials and tribulations. He said he used to do a
lot of drugs. He used to get all messed up,
and he's still damaged because of it. Really, yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 7 (34:12):
He's trying to like live better now so that he
can be around as long as his parents were.

Speaker 5 (34:17):
I got to start doing that me too. Wait, thank you, Garrett,
Thank you Abby. Look at that our movie reviewers and
hot after reviewers coming all through it.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
What up?

Speaker 5 (34:27):
Gandhi?

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Oh well, I know I'd just left, but I wanted
to know. She was disappointed that he has a girlfriend
who is one of our jingle ball artists, who Gracie Abrams.
Apparently he's dating Gracie Abrams, allegedly. I saw them doing
like a date night thing for the Gladiator premiere.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
You said, it's fact. I just heard you say that.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
Well, I mean they did make the appearance, but it
seems like they confirm their relationship.

Speaker 5 (34:48):
So well. We love our partners at Paramount Pictures. So
Paramount Pictures Gladiator too. Only in theaters November twenty.

Speaker 11 (34:55):

Speaker 8 (35:41):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Elvinsuran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (35:44):
Hey, hey, you, thank you for listening to us. What
a day? Kiki Palmer coming in? What's she talking about today?
She's got something cool going on. She always has some
memoir master of me. Oh nice, add that to my
stack of things that need to read.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Yes, I love her so much.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
I do too. You're going to love her here in
about an hour. He had dinner with some friends last night.
Another friend joined us at the table for a little while.
We're talking about Thanksgiving. What are you doing for Thanksgiving?
Where are you going? What are you doing? And he
has this look in his face where his all of
his joy in life just melted off his face like
a melting candle. When I brought up Thanksgiving, because he's like,

(36:21):
I'm having it with my family. What's wrong with that?
He said, it's just always always drama. And I said, well,
you're I'm thinking, actually, you're not alone some people I
have to get together with him. They are my relatives,
and I have to sit there and take it and

(36:41):
be okay. I mean I was. I guess I'm I'm
very lucky. I never grew up with that in my life,
and I refuse to have a Thanksgiving with anyone. I
don't have any Thanksgiving with. Yeah, sometimes you don't have
that choice, right, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Right.

Speaker 5 (36:53):
Of holiday fights at the table, politics will be number
one this year, I'm assuming. Yeah, family dynamics, past grievances,
can't get over it, right, past grievances, past grievances. That
would be another another fight that we passed at the table.

(37:15):
Relationships and finances.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
Yeah, finances, Yeah, don't use phrase monstrous exactly.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
Don't use phrases like that wife of yours is why
you don't have any money. Don't use that at the
Thanksgiving table? What if they bring them.

Speaker 7 (37:29):
One like you can't stand like you're like, why are
you still one of that person?

Speaker 10 (37:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (37:35):
I don't know. This is why it's like Thanksgiving should
be a joyous, wonderful thing, but so many people maybe
not maybe not you, but so many people do dread it.

Speaker 7 (37:46):
It's funny because it's supposed to be about all your
blessings and like thanking, you know, being thankful.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
People want to just throw meshed potatoes at each other.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Pie comes flying. I actually have a handful of friends
who are doing Thanksgiving by themself this year because they
don't want to fight with family members. Yeah I want
to get along.

Speaker 5 (38:05):
Hey, if you know it's the possibility, you know, don't
go down that road.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
Yeah, I have a theory. I'm sick for the last
few days, so I was alone that entire time. My
theory is this, I think the reason people are dreading
Thanksgiving is because you are being forced to be with
other people. Yeah, but then they we're spending so much
time alone, right, it's like I don't want to leave
my little comfort zone, which really isn't that comfortable because
you're lonely. But then you're in this situation where you

(38:30):
have these other people and their different opinions, and boy,
you just don't even want to go there with some
of those people. Another dynamic is families. You know, where
you have en laws, but you have a couple they're married. Yeah, okay,
do we go to my parents or do we go
to your parents?

Speaker 2 (38:46):
Yep?

Speaker 5 (38:47):
Sometimes they have to do both and they you end
up eating twice.

Speaker 7 (38:51):
Day and you were at my mom's house longer than
you were at my house like with my family, like
you know, but I never had that problem because you know,
my mother in law and everybody they live in England
or in France, you know.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
So it's like and that's a way to do it.

Speaker 7 (39:04):
Unless we went there to visit like a couple of
days after the holidays, and we never fought over that stuff.

Speaker 5 (39:09):
And Thanksgiving over there is big christmasys, I know. But
one day your sons will be married, then the decision
will have to be made and you're gonna win that
are you.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
I'm just I would like equal time, that's all.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
We don't usually have big fights, but I hate having
to explain myself to extended family. So it'll be like, oh,
how long have you guys been dating ones? Are you
gonna put a ring on it? Like it's something that
I'm longing for and begging for and it just hasn't happened.
I'm like, oh, this is so weird. Don't you want kids?
You should do that?

Speaker 10 (39:38):
No?

Speaker 5 (39:38):
Oh god, no, yeah. I remember on Thanksgiving where they
wanted to know why I had a hole in my
ear lobe.

Speaker 17 (39:46):
Okay, okay, did you get it piercing?

Speaker 5 (39:52):
Yes? Mother? Oh dag god o Lord, and those other
Thingsgivings earlier on. So, want to bring a girlfriend to Thanksgiving?

Speaker 2 (40:04):
What'd you say to that?

Speaker 5 (40:05):
I'm sure I can find someone inquired that would love
to come.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
Have you seen like the Thanksgiving packages that people are
selling online where it's like, for two hundred and fifty dollars,
I get one plate of food and I'll be nice
to you and kiss you in front of your family.
For five hundred dollars, I get two plates of food
and I will compliment you and talk about our future together.

Speaker 7 (40:28):
Wow, it was my rent to gay, my rent to
gay idea. You know people are doing it.

Speaker 5 (40:34):
Yeah, find a nice, good looking gay guy, say it's
your boyfriend, it's your beard, rent a gay. I don't
know what's up.

Speaker 15 (40:41):
Scary, you know, even though our entire family all disagrees politically,
that none of that at all pals in comparison to
what the what the holiday is about for us now,
and that is togetherness, especially since I lost my mom
last year. So you know, Thanksgiving and holidays have become
more important as I've grown old, there to spend more
time with these people.

Speaker 5 (41:02):
So yes, people put we put out differences aside. We
don't talk about that stuff, and yeah, we're happy to
be there and you should and that's good, you know.
And I'm sure you were somewhat happy even before your
mother passed away. Of course.

Speaker 7 (41:15):
Wait, I love bringing that up to the table the
like you know, if Dad was here, you know what
he would say to this, And I dropped the bomb
and walk away.

Speaker 5 (41:23):
There you go, Hello, Stephanie. Hi, So you're planning on
turning your Thanksgiving with your family into something really fun
and festive, right.

Speaker 11 (41:34):
Yes, I am.

Speaker 10 (41:35):
I am going to announce my third pregnancy.

Speaker 7 (41:42):
Nice, but they should be happy about that.

Speaker 10 (41:44):
Now, yeah, yeah, oh yeah, they'll be very happy. So
I want to announce it on Thanksgiving just because it's
just like scary just said, at the time of togetherness,
and I don't think we should stress about politics or.

Speaker 18 (41:58):
Anything like that.

Speaker 10 (41:59):
We should have fun, happy, joyful moments.

Speaker 5 (42:02):
I know you should. But even after you make the
big announcement and then they go into the political fight,
well what about my baby? What are you doing? Yeah?
They so just you know what, that's great reasons to
celebrate right there at the table. You're bringing them a
third Congratulations to you, Stephanie. Thanks for teleask before you.

Speaker 7 (42:21):
Am I the only one that dresses up like as
a turkey?

Speaker 5 (42:24):
Hold? Thank you very much, Stepanie. You want I have.

Speaker 7 (42:27):
A turkey onesie that I wear every Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving
because it's cute and it's comfortable and then I don't
have to like get dressed, so I show up dress
like every Thanksgiving, I'm a turkey.

Speaker 5 (42:37):
That's kind of.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Dark, Danielle, You dress up as a thing you're gonna eat?

Speaker 7 (42:40):
Well, yeah, well, you know, I don't really love turkey,
so that's okay.

Speaker 2 (42:44):
But I do.

Speaker 7 (42:45):
Yeah, And my mom used to have like a q
ottle Pilgrim outfit back in the day, and she used
to she used to wear that to Thanksgiving when she
was cooking in the kitchen.

Speaker 3 (42:52):
It was so cute. We like to dress up in
my family.

Speaker 5 (42:55):
But I just got a vision soone dressed up as
a turkey fighting about the presidential election. Interesting text coming
through my mother in law makes me watch to slap
her with a turkey leg What what makes me? Yeah?
Am I reading that right?

Speaker 3 (43:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (43:16):
It makes me want to slap her with the turkey.
You shouldn't have food fights. This is all good stuff.

Speaker 2 (43:20):
No, no waste of food.

Speaker 5 (43:21):
Come on, if we celebrated spanksgiving, that would be more fun.
We just someone pisses you off, spank to living hell
out of their hair. Yeah, look at these people texting in.
I don't want to go. I don't want to be
a part of this at all. Then why are you
doing it? People? Our families don't get along. Therefore we

(43:41):
have to do two Thanksgiving. That's think two Thanksgivings. That's
not unusual at all. Deanna, what's up? Hey?

Speaker 8 (43:48):
So this is my first holiday season engaged and my
fiance and I both are children of divorce. So we
already had trouble trying to split the time between two families,
and now we've just split the time between four families.

Speaker 7 (44:00):
They at least in like, you know, close distance to
each other.

Speaker 5 (44:03):
Really, Oh damn, you know what, what's trouble with you saying?
You know, we can't do everyone? I love you all,
but here's what we have to do.

Speaker 7 (44:09):
Yeah, we're gonna have to do because pay after like
the you know, the day after, do a couple things.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
Yeah, go on the next thing and get all the
extra food.

Speaker 3 (44:15):
Yeah that's true.

Speaker 5 (44:16):
I know even though you love him, let him go
his way, you go yours.

Speaker 7 (44:20):
And you just say we're not we're not married yet.

Speaker 5 (44:23):
True, but then what do we do when we get married?

Speaker 3 (44:24):
Well then you figure it out.

Speaker 4 (44:25):
All right.

Speaker 5 (44:25):
Well, the overlying theme over the over arching theme here
is God, bless you all the best at Thanksgiving, and
I'm gonna have a good one. Thank got him hanging
out with people I like, Yeah, and I love so
it could be the other way around. What are we
doing here, Danielle We did daniel three things? Oh my god,
look at the time. The time just rolls so fast.

(44:48):
Let's get into a Gandhi. Alrighty, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (44:53):
A hacker has reportedly gained access to testimony and investigations
into Florida former former Florida Congressman Matt Gates. He's currently
President elect Trump's pick for attorney general, and he's been
accused of sexual misconduct. Reports say that a hacker access
to file that contained two dozen exhibits, including testimony from
a woman who claims that Gates had sex with her

(45:14):
when she was seventeen. The file included sealed files from
the House Ethics Committee and Justice Department. According to The
New York Times, the Ethics Committee is expected to meet
Wednesday to decide whether or not to release its report
on Gates, but these hackers said that they have all
the information. Frontier Airlines is adding sixteen new routes starting
next year. The budget carrier will be expanding across the

(45:35):
US and Caribbean. At the same time, competitor spirit Ail
Airlines is filing for bankruptcy. The new routes will be
added in February and March across twenty one airports, including
some big ones like Austin, Phoenix, Orlando, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Reno,
Oklahoma City, Puerto Rico, and a lot more. And finally,
it's been a strange year two years for everybody actually

(45:57):
ever since COVID started, and people are looking for ways
to be happy. So when it comes to happiness, experts
say that there are five habits you can use to
help embrace joy and become more consistent with it.

Speaker 5 (46:08):
Here we go five here number one.

Speaker 2 (46:10):
Okay, first, you have to find things that bring you
into your flow state. Bring you things like you know,
things like music, yoga, art, volunteering, practice, random acts of kindness. Allegedly,
it makes you feel generous and capable. It always feels
good to do good for others. Choose gratitude, celebrate your wins,
and cheer on other people's accomplishments as well. And the

(46:32):
big one, nurture your relationships. We talk about this all
the time. Research shows that relationships are more important than money,
than your job and even your health when it comes
to your pursuit of happiness. And it works both ways.
You can't expect other people to always reach out to you.
It's a two way street. Nurture your relationships, keep them healthy,
and those are your three things.

Speaker 5 (46:52):
Wow, here's the one I guess I won't be spending
Thanksgiving with my brother since he acted like an ass
at my kid's baptism this past weekend.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
Not nurturing a relationship.

Speaker 5 (47:02):
Yeah, okay, yeah, so we need flow, kindness, gratitude, and
nurturing that it was there a fifth one?

Speaker 2 (47:08):
I think there were five in there. Let's see. You
need to things like yoga, our phones here and practice
random acts of kindness. Did you get that?

Speaker 5 (47:14):
Kindness, gratitude, gratitude, and nurture.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
Celebrate your wins, celebrate and celebrate other people's wins as well.

Speaker 5 (47:20):
Thank you very much, You're welcome. I love you.

Speaker 11 (47:22):
Another free money phone tap coming up next day where
the Almis Duran in the morning show Free Money.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
The free Money phone Tap.

Speaker 5 (47:42):
Poor Scotty Be.

Speaker 2 (47:44):
That was the best moment of the day.

Speaker 5 (47:47):
Scotty Be, how are you okay? There? I don't know.
I don't know if I'm okay?

Speaker 3 (47:51):
What happened?

Speaker 5 (47:52):
I must okay? During the song we were trying to
record something, yeah, and every time it was like three
two one, I'd start to talk on the recording and
someone would say something and then someone will walk in.
H Yeah, we do it, we do it, Okay, we
shut up. I gotta do this. I gotta do this
because the song's gonna end. Then finally it was finally right.
Everyone was being quiet. It's ready for me to say

(48:13):
what I had to say to record. Goes coming up
and I looked at him. I said, shut up.

Speaker 15 (48:21):
I'm so sorry you shot park that way.

Speaker 5 (48:25):

telling you, karl Oha everything they make from bamboo, And
keep in mind, we are watching out from our mother Earth.
Oh yeah, when we're using bamboo products, and Karaloha perfected it.
There are other companies that are trying to do it.

(49:44):
Karaloha is a lot different. They got some magic, Like
it's like the Keebler elves. They're like Karaloha elms, some
little tree trunk making this stuff.

Speaker 7 (49:54):
You know when you go on vacation and you're like,
oh my gosh, I want to take these sheets home

mom's coming in for Thanksgiving weekend, so.

Speaker 7 (50:44):
My husband Stephen cannot stand her.

Speaker 3 (50:47):
They don't get along. So I want you to call
my husband.

Speaker 7 (50:49):
Tell him my mom's flight home was canceled, and then
she has to stay a lot longer.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
And she's going to start the call and then I'm
going to hop in later. As like the travel.

Speaker 5 (50:58):
Agent, the evil travel agents. Let's Tod's hello, Hey.

Speaker 18 (51:06):
Honney, do you have a second. I just looked mom's
tickets and believe put me on hold. There's something screw
up with the flights or you know, it's so crazy
right now it's going on and well she's not. They're
not going to be able to put her on a
flight till that Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (51:22):
What do you mean to like?

Speaker 18 (51:25):
But she's going to be It's not going to be a
big deal.

Speaker 4 (51:28):
Come on, just there's not one flight that goes out
that weekend.

Speaker 10 (51:32):
I don't know.

Speaker 18 (51:34):
Why I called you. I didn't understand. She said it
was going to be insanely expensive. They were going to
take this is this is both no? Oh for good?

Speaker 4 (51:43):
No, I can't what do you mean? For god? I
can't know she's not staying Wednesday.

Speaker 18 (51:49):
I know my mother's a little crazy, but just you.

Speaker 4 (51:52):
Know, a little crazy man. She pulled out a crazy
board last time. She pushes my button and she makes
you know, she has to make her sweet datas, which
tastes like I've been feeding them too dogs for the
past few years. I'm sorry. I love you and I
can handle your blong, you know, just for a little
bit of time, but not for a whole week. Oh

(52:12):
my God, I'm being honest with you. I can't do
this for a week.

Speaker 18 (52:16):
You know she loves you.

Speaker 4 (52:17):
We have to fix the plumbing, Jessica. We spend fifteen
hundred bucks clock the toil.

Speaker 6 (52:22):
She clocked the toils. That was not a foul.

Speaker 4 (52:25):
Oh, please come on home. Be coming out of her
get herd.

Speaker 3 (52:29):
Hello, I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (52:31):
This is my husband, Stephen.

Speaker 3 (52:33):
Hi, Stephen.

Speaker 6 (52:33):
How are you need to get him on the line?
Because I wasn't really curious what you were saying?

Speaker 18 (52:37):
So could you sure?

Speaker 2 (52:38):
No, I'll explain it, so, Steven.

Speaker 7 (52:39):
So the problem is is that your wife had booked
your mother in law on a flight leaving to go
back to right and unfortunately that flight has been canceled.
And I'm trying my best to find something to accommodate
you guys.

Speaker 4 (52:51):
You know I'll get a silence license in less than
twenty four hours and I'll fly this flame.

Speaker 7 (52:56):
The problem is is that as of right now, there
are no flights that day or for like three or
four days after so I.

Speaker 1 (53:03):
Told you.

Speaker 4 (53:05):
There's not one flight for three days.

Speaker 5 (53:08):
This is not a rast.

Speaker 2 (53:09):
Excuse me, excuse me, sir.

Speaker 7 (53:10):
I'm trying my best here, and I really wish you
wouldn't take that tone with me.

Speaker 6 (53:13):
I wouldn't say you're not taking that talent for either.

Speaker 4 (53:16):
You never met my mother in law, you've never met me. Okay, okay,
but's got to be a flight. There's gotta be a flight.
I mean, we got to get her out from the
evening or afternoon or even six in the morning. I
don't care.

Speaker 7 (53:26):
I'm okay, I'm trying my best. Give me a few minutes.
I will get back to you.

Speaker 3 (53:30):
Guys, Okay, I want to cry.

Speaker 6 (53:32):
All right, hold on, you are going to listen, rap and.

Speaker 4 (53:38):
Even pay day in my life. You're not twelve anymore.

Speaker 5 (53:43):
You are.

Speaker 4 (53:44):
This isn't a matter of twelve years old. She pushes
my buttons, she starts fights with me.

Speaker 6 (53:49):
J I rip your button's off. If you don't calm down,
we'll figure this out.

Speaker 4 (53:56):
I've never had a problem with blood pressure. And then
every time she gets here of my it goes up.

Speaker 6 (54:01):
Hello.

Speaker 7 (54:03):
So I did find something. But okay, it's gonna cost
you a little bit more money. And I think you
said you don't mind that.

Speaker 4 (54:10):
Well, you know, if it's like an extra one hundred
ball or so, I can do it.

Speaker 7 (54:15):
It's gonna come to almost two thousand. What come on,
and you'd be sending her first class. She would be
relaxing all the way home back to for Lauderdale.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
I think that.

Speaker 4 (54:28):
You could be comfortable.

Speaker 3 (54:34):
I mean, honestly, honestly, sir, sir, let's.

Speaker 4 (54:37):
Get her up by bus. You put buses.

Speaker 18 (54:40):
You're gonna put my mother on a bus.

Speaker 4 (54:41):
What's the matter with the bus? They got comfortable?

Speaker 7 (54:44):
So you know, this seat is actually for larger people.
That's why it's a little more expensive. And Lee is
a little bit larger.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
Am I right?

Speaker 4 (54:53):
A boatswagon?

Speaker 6 (54:54):
Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (54:55):
Here's the bottom line. I don't have two thousand dollars.

Speaker 7 (54:58):
There is one other op I'm going to work on,
but you have to give me a few minutes. So
just discuss the first class issue.

Speaker 3 (55:04):
Because if you were.

Speaker 4 (55:07):
How about a swing, how about a canon? How about
an artillery show?

Speaker 6 (55:10):
You're so hilarious.

Speaker 4 (55:12):
How about we put her in a body of an ICBM.

Speaker 7 (55:14):
The other option, Unfortunately, your mother in law would have
two layovers and she would be staying in the airport
for about two hours at one, and it looks like
about three hours in there.

Speaker 18 (55:24):
It's not fine.

Speaker 7 (55:26):
I know, No, that's about five to six hours of
just sitting around an airport.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
You're okay with leaving you.

Speaker 4 (55:33):
I'm okay with it. She can read a book, she
can tell me to cook sweet potato, she can clock
their toilet at the airport.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (55:39):
So basically I should book that one because you can't
have her stick around for a couple of extra days.

Speaker 4 (55:44):
I cannot have her there for an extra few days.

Speaker 5 (55:46):
Okay, You've got it, Thank you.

Speaker 7 (55:48):
So why don't you just write the check out to
Elvis Durant and the Morning Show. What your wife, Jessica
just phoned up to Your mother in law is actually going
home on that Saturday.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
Don't worry.

Speaker 4 (56:03):
Oh my god, it's Steven.

Speaker 3 (56:10):
The sweet potato is really that bad.

Speaker 4 (56:12):
I really have been feeding, mom confesses to our dog.

Speaker 5 (56:18):
There you go, you're evil, I know evil. That was
really good. A lot people have texting and they love
that one.

Speaker 3 (56:25):
Danielle, thank you.

Speaker 5 (56:26):

Speaker 3 (59:46):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
Yeah, because it's all about her navigating Hollywood and how
you survive fame and the things that she's learned from
her time being there. Because she's been part of Hollywood
since she was a kid, so I'm sure she's been
through everything.

Speaker 5 (59:58):
I can't wait to talk to her. You know, I
just love biographies. I know, Danielle, you were always listening
to books all the time. Oh yeah, and you always
come in beam a little brighter after you've heard or
read a biography.

Speaker 7 (01:00:09):
One hundred percent and listening to the person who wrote
it actually tell the story themselves. It's different because they
always leave the story a little bit and give you
a little bit more than you expected. Like I told
you when I was listening to Mariah, she sings. When
I was listening to a couple of other things. Their
husband will come in and talk and stuff like that.

Speaker 5 (01:00:28):
I can't wait to listen to share. Well when I
was growing up, I mean, if I could turn back
tar she talks about her sunny days. Apparently he was
a manipulating reason. Yeah, apparently he took her took her money.
What yeah, yeah, yeah, the deal was not a fair
deal he got he got like nine tenths of all
the money. Oh and then he wouldn't he wouldn't let

(01:00:51):
her hang out with people. Whatever. Anyway, I'm not gonna
give it away. I'm gonna read the whole thing anyway.
Master of Me is the Kiki Palmer memoir, and it's uh,
it's gonna be talked about in a few minutes. I
can't wait to see here. Oh, thank you to Hannah,
by the way, Hannah from Delongey. Oh Hannah, So we
just figured out we are entering our ninth year of

(01:01:11):
marriage with Delongey.

Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (01:01:14):
I know.

Speaker 7 (01:01:15):
And Hannah always decorates the Delongy cart. I mean it
always looks so beautiful. She does such a great job.

Speaker 5 (01:01:22):
And I drink that. I drink the espresso.

Speaker 21 (01:01:24):
You do.

Speaker 5 (01:01:24):
I know this past weekend they toasted my bread. They
do everything there, DeLonge what's that scary? They're always in season. Okay,
thank you?

Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
Yeah, oh they have.

Speaker 5 (01:01:33):
They have a special thing going on right now. Right?
Where's that? You wrote it down for me, didn't you?
Where's it? Oh? The Magnifica plus sixteen one touch recipes.
It's amazing. You just want a cappuccino, push the button
when espresso, push the button. Won a cup of coffee?
Push the button. The other night I pushed the button
my Delongey. It kicked out of chicken pop pop Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:01:56):
You think pizza.

Speaker 5 (01:01:58):
Whatever you want. It's amazing. Anyway. We also have the
Delongey Days of giving. We're gonna have the big Tree
and we're giving me a gift every day. We love you, Delongey.
We've had quite a relationship with them. Again, go to
delongey dot com that Magnifica Plus is on sale. Yeah,
I got a flat white. So many jokes, so many jokes. No,

(01:02:20):
flat white is an espresso with milk. I guess, yeah,
it's a flat white. I learned this because I love milk,
but I don't like cold milk. It's steamed milk with espresso.
And just push a button. Pushed the flat white button.
So many jokes. Okay, there's that. You know, a lot

(01:02:43):
of people are visiting New York City getting ready for
the holidays. The crowds have already begun. Oh yeah, and
we have friends from Europe that are visiting. We have
friends from all across the country that are visiting New York.
And it's gonna get even larger as far as population
goes in our city, especially around Rockefeller Center in the Tree.
So last night I went to dinner with some friends
at Zuzu's, which is over by Hudson Yards now Hudging

(01:03:05):
Yards for those who do not live in New York City.
It's a newer area where people are all going. I mean,
the hottest restaurants are there, brand new, shiny, stealing glass
buildings everywhere.

Speaker 7 (01:03:16):
Is that what we saw that show last year? That's
Sexy Santa Show.

Speaker 5 (01:03:21):
Yeah, the Dirty bur lest It was awesome. That was awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
I love that.

Speaker 5 (01:03:24):
Anyway, So we were walking around Hudson Yards last night
and went to Zuzu's for this amazing dinner. Amazing dinner,
and it's a whole different look. You come to New
York City, you expect the old townhouses, the old buildings
built you know, at the turn of the century, two
centuries ago whatever. This is all new, like I said,
stealing glass, gorgeous, modern, clean, It's a different side of

(01:03:48):
New York City. I love it. I'm like I almost
moved there last night. Enough of this old crumbling structures crap.
I just want to go live somewhere where new structures
that are crumbling.

Speaker 7 (01:03:58):
It even looks really nice in the summertime because there's
a lot of flowers and trees that they planted around there.

Speaker 3 (01:04:03):
It's nice.

Speaker 5 (01:04:04):
I'm taking you got a zoo, guys to Zuzu. Okay,
it's Mediterranean, but with a fun twist, like every dish
is just fun, all right? Z o U z o
U apostovs. Look it up. It's a gorgeous room. What's scary?

Speaker 15 (01:04:14):
And you know the famous honeycomb structure. The vessel reopened
to the public last month. You can actually go back
in it and walk up, walk in the It's like.

Speaker 5 (01:04:22):
So it's safe to walk stuff. Yeah, yeah, put up stuff. Yeah.
For its very sad reason they had to close it down.

Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
Anyway, there's summer bashes every year too.

Speaker 5 (01:04:30):
We do it. We do it right there. We own
huts and yards and that's why we got to move
our studios there. I've decided we're moving.

Speaker 3 (01:04:35):
Yes, okay.

Speaker 5 (01:04:36):
Uh had a list of things to get to. What
else was on the list? We got a lot coming up? Okay,
Well that doesn't help me.

Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
You have your list.

Speaker 5 (01:04:45):
I of mind. You did everything you need to do
for me, right. You said you have two jelly roll
stories coming up?

Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
I have I can I do have two if you'd like.

Speaker 5 (01:04:51):
Them, one including post Malone.

Speaker 7 (01:04:53):
I have a post Malone one and I have one
about him in the Invictus Games.

Speaker 5 (01:04:57):
Yes, and uh, Harry, yes.

Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
Harry, did you see that the commercial?

Speaker 5 (01:05:05):
Can I talk about it?

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
Go ahead?

Speaker 5 (01:05:07):
Prince Harry is lying on his back and a chair
and Jelly Roll is giving him a neck tattoo.

Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
It's awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
Yeah, is that real?

Speaker 3 (01:05:17):
So no, no, no, So I'll tell you what it is.

Speaker 7 (01:05:19):
So it's a it's a film promo for the Invictus Games.
And you know the Invictus Games. Prince Harry throws them
every year. They're a multi sport event for wounded injured
and six service members and veterans. So they did a
new promo and Prince Harry meets up with Jelly Roll
at a tattoo pollar to discuss his appearance at the
Invictus Games.

Speaker 3 (01:05:38):
Then there's a little bit of a misunderstanding.

Speaker 7 (01:05:40):
And jelly thinks the Prince wants him to give him
his first tattoo, And after convincing Harry it's a good idea,
they get funny and he finds himself with a neck
tattoo that says, I am jelly Roll. It's very cute.

Speaker 5 (01:05:55):
You know what, Harry should come on the show talk about.

Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
That would be awesome.

Speaker 5 (01:05:59):
Nate, Okay, we need Harry and share. I'll call the
Queen her king. Now the Queen is no longer with it,
so I'm the only queen left.

Speaker 7 (01:06:09):
Speaking of post Malone, who you just talked about too.
He was talking yesterday about his twenty twenty five tour
plans and the name of his tour is called the
Big Ass Stadium Tour, and it is going to have
so many amazing people out there with him, including Jelly Roll.
April thirteenth and April twentieth. Of the first dates are
headlining Coachella, So post Malone will be headlining Coachella. Then

(01:06:31):
we got twenty five more dates, big cities, big venues.
I mean, it's gonna be crazy. And of course you
can go to post these website if you want more information.
Du Lipa announced the release of her live album Dua
Lipa Live from the Royal Albert Hall. It comes with
a primetime TV special titled and Evening with Dualipa. She
recorded it during her one off performance at London's Royal

(01:06:52):
Albert Hall last month. She had a forty three piece
orchestra with our Acchoir. She did a surprise duet with
Sir Elton John. So this is all going to be
happening and you're gonna all get to see it on
television in December, very very soon.

Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
Ah.

Speaker 7 (01:07:05):
So two more people have come forward for Diddy, saying
one's a guy, one's a girl of saying you know
he did things? I you know, I can't when you
read what what they say he did? Just how did
another human being even do things like this? I just
can't even. But anyway, did he did have a rare
win in court? The judge ordered prosecutors to destroy all

(01:07:27):
copies of the twenty pages of material seized from did
he cell during a ring?

Speaker 5 (01:07:32):
Really?

Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
Yep?

Speaker 5 (01:07:33):
Did you know that other inmates are lining up at
Ditty's cell so they can make his bed and clean
his cell?

Speaker 4 (01:07:40):
What?

Speaker 5 (01:07:40):
Yeah, yeah, didd he's got it. He's got a fan
base in jail.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
It's not surprising, but.

Speaker 7 (01:07:48):
The parties, I guess. So, oh god, oh gosh. Another
sad thing today. Of course, we are saying good bye
the Liam Payne. Officially, his funeral is being held today,
will be a private service attended by close family friends
and of course Louis Niles. Zane Harry from One Direction
and a source said that Liam may have been a
global superstar, but to his parents he will always be

(01:08:09):
their little boy. She's so sad, so yeah, so so sad.
So ariana Grande originally auditioned for Alpha BA in Wicked
kind of So here's what happened. The director, John m
Chuo says, I was like, oh, yeah, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
She's coming in.

Speaker 7 (01:08:25):
She's gonna audition for Glinda. And then the casting director
was like, no, she prepped for Alpha BA. She's coming
into audition for Alpha BA. And then John said, well, no,
that's not the plan, that's not what we thought. But
she prepped for Alpha BA. Of course she didn't get Alphaba.
She wound up getting Glinda, which is what they really
wanted to give her. But it's kind of cute that
that's what she thought. She was coming in for Beyonce.

(01:08:48):
So one of Beyonce's former collaborators wants a reunion.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
Who would that collaborator be. That would be Almo.

Speaker 6 (01:08:57):
Alva.

Speaker 5 (01:08:57):
Yes, Beyonce, stop it, stop it now.

Speaker 7 (01:09:01):
Anyway, they may get back together. You know, he's inviting
her tossessme Street. We'll see if it has.

Speaker 5 (01:09:06):
I will tell you when you do that ELMOI voice,
it does. I fantasize like physical, physical violence.

Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
I'm not a nice meet.

Speaker 5 (01:09:14):
Alma needs a frying pan to the head.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Am I love you? Okay? All right tonight.

Speaker 7 (01:09:19):
The fifty eighth Annuel CMA Awards are going down, Lady Wilson,
Luke Bryant, Peyton Manning, You've got the mass singer, all
your Chicago shows, Watch what Happens Live are Oceans on Netflix,
Wishless Games on Amazon, and The Merried Gentleman on Netflix.

Speaker 3 (01:09:32):
And that is my Daniel record.

Speaker 5 (01:09:33):
Scotty Bee almost died this morning. We're gonna find out
how that happened. Also, is it true? Is it true? Gandhi?
The Instagram has updates on the way that could help
me clear out my algorithm and start fresh. Yes, thank god,
I'm so embarrassed. I look at my algorithm. I'm just waiting.
I'm waiting for the FBI to break in.

Speaker 2 (01:09:52):
Oh God.

Speaker 5 (01:09:55):
With that said, into the three things we need to know,
Keiki Palmer coming up pretty soon. What's going on? Gandhi?

Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
At least one person is dead and hundreds of thousands
of people are without power as a powerful bomb cyclone
is brought heavy rain and winds to the Pacific northwest
north of Seattle. The woman was killed on Tuesday night
when a tree fell on a homeless encampment. The National
Weather Service reports strong winds across the region, including gusts
of more than one hundred miles per hour off the

(01:10:21):
coast of British Columbia. Gusts exceeding seventy miles per hour
are blowing across Washington, while winds are reaching about fifty
miles per hour in western Oregon. More than seven hundred
thousand customers are without power in Washington as of early
this morning. Did you guys see the story about Jay Leno?

Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:10:39):
Yeah, man, what a mess? What happened?

Speaker 3 (01:10:40):
Crazy?

Speaker 2 (01:10:41):
Well, the man is seventy four years old and he
is now recuperating after rolling down a sixty foot hill.
He talked to TMZ the other day with a bruised face,
an eye patch, and his arm in a bracaying that
it happened Friday night before a stand up show. He
apparently stepped out for dinner before going to a show
at the Palace Theater and decided to take a short
cut to a restaurant. He wound up tumbling down sixty feet,

(01:11:03):
hitting his head on several rocks along the way, and
he said, despite his injuries and they did look pretty bad,
he still went on stage that night and performed. He
said the show must.

Speaker 5 (01:11:12):
Go on Daniel over there, old lady at the.

Speaker 7 (01:11:15):
Broom getting a little headache, advil. I think it's you.

Speaker 5 (01:11:21):
Typically is made.

Speaker 3 (01:11:22):
But by the way, Jay Lettle gets hurt a lot.

Speaker 5 (01:11:24):
I know, his car explode in front of him or.

Speaker 3 (01:11:27):
He's got to be more careful.

Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
Always something very dramatic. Yeah, it's not just like I
tripped and felt it's like I rolled down a sixty
foot hill full of boulders.

Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
Crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
And finally, what do you guys think of this one?
Airbnb and Paramount Pictures are teaming up to offer two
nights of entertainment next year at the Coliseum in Rome.

Speaker 5 (01:11:45):
Really yeah, they can do that.

Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Apparently, So there's a little controversy. It's meant to celebrate
the release of Gladiator too. It's not going to be
an overnight stay, but guests will get to tour the
coliseum and then train in gladiator combat over the course
of three hours. Airbnb says the event is all about preservation.
They've already donated one point five million dollars to the coliseum.
But people are pretty upset because some members of Parliament

(01:12:09):
in Europe are saying you're turning the Colosseum into a
theme park. And we don't like that at all.

Speaker 5 (01:12:15):
Now I would go for that if I if through
my donation, through my money I pay through Airbnb, it's coliseum.
I could throw a friend in there and have a
lion eat them.

Speaker 2 (01:12:25):
You should propose that. That's cool authenticity.

Speaker 5 (01:12:27):
Yeah, let's relive history.

Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
Wait, who are you throwing in there?

Speaker 5 (01:12:31):
Nate?

Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
Okay, yeah, cool, let's sey.

Speaker 5 (01:12:33):
It's got to be fun to watch you. They're a lion.
You know you could? You could beat the lion. I
have a chance. I'll grab its tongue. It won't do
a thing, that's right. Where do that.

Speaker 4 (01:12:45):
This?

Speaker 5 (01:12:45):
I read this. If you're ever okay, if you're ever
almost eaten by a lion or a tiger, you have
to grab its tongue. I read this. You feed him
your left arm first if you're right handed, and your
right arm first if you're left handed. Love that, you
know that? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:13:00):
Wait, grab his tongue while he's biting down on your
arm with.

Speaker 5 (01:13:04):
Your left arm if you're right handed. Yeah, that's trust me.
I'm an expert on these. Only give it your lame arm.

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
What how are you Once you grab the tongue and
it releases you, do you just hold onto the tongue
for dear life until someone comes to save you, because
as soon as you let go, it's gonna eat you.

Speaker 5 (01:13:18):
Again until your arm comes off.

Speaker 3 (01:13:19):
Yeah, oh my god.

Speaker 5 (01:13:22):
Again, I can't wait to feed. I cannot wait to
feed night to the lions at the coliseum. Is that
your three things?

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
That's right?

Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
Three?

Speaker 5 (01:13:30):
Great? Elvister Wan in the Morning Show, don't miss Minnie
Mouse's big debut in Macy's ninety sixth annual Thanksgiving Day Parade,
live on NBC and streaming on Peacock from eight thirty
am to twelve noon in all time zones. It's not
Thanksgiving without Macy's Parade. So let Macy's be your guide
to gifting. Find details at Macy's dot com.

Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (01:14:03):
So this morning, before everyone else gets here, Scotty Bean
rolls in. He says, you know, I have to draw
up a will, a last will and testament?

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
Why?

Speaker 5 (01:14:16):
I said, well, yeah, well why I almost died this morning?
Yeah yeah, So Scotty who was also he's also the
Queen of Drauma, as you know, No, no, yes, I.

Speaker 14 (01:14:28):
Was just wondering if I was just wondering if there
was ever an event in your life that you're like,
oh my god, I need to have a will just
in case working here with you people.

Speaker 5 (01:14:36):
So anyway, so he walks in and says, I need
a will. Last one in testament, something happened to me.
I almost died. Yeah, what happened?

Speaker 14 (01:14:42):
Well, I was driving like seventy miles an hour on
the left lane of the Long Island Expressway, and all
of a sudden, a rock bigger than my fist comes
flying at my windshield, right in my face, and it
smashes right in front of me. And of course Ice
screamed really high pitched and swerved and I almost hit
the the middle thing, the barrier, the median thing, and

(01:15:02):
I was like, oh my god, and I swerved back,
and I was like, I was breathing really hard and heavy,
and the first thing I thought of was my kids.
I was like, oh my god, good, I never did
my will. Good, that's the first thing I thought of.
You should think of that, You should get that well done.
You know what, People are so scared to think about
doing a will because it means they're going to die
one day. Hey, guess what, you're gonna die?

Speaker 4 (01:15:21):
Way.

Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
Unfortunately, we're all going to go.

Speaker 5 (01:15:24):
You can't take it with you, so you might as
well leave it to the people that deserve it and
make sure it's all in writing so when you do
pass away, they don't have to worry about it. But
it's so much paperwork.

Speaker 14 (01:15:36):
Well okay, how come you can't just write a thing
that says I give my kids half of everything signed
to be done the other half.

Speaker 5 (01:15:43):
I mean each gets half. Okay, yeah, well you could
do that, but it may be more problematic for them
to like probate and all that stuff. Just get it done,
get your will done. It's not a sad thing. It's
a relief. You're doing it because you love them. Now,
if I was your daughter and you died and you said, well,
I didn't want I want them to have to deal
with that after I died because I didn't want to

(01:16:04):
deal with the paperwork. We know few dad, Yeah, never
liked never loved you. Any way, God, you should do it.
It's it's it's a it's relief for you. Get it done.
I'm going to do a few like paragraphs a day.
I'm gonna start doing that. It's a lot.

Speaker 7 (01:16:19):
My friend's dad he had everything, not just his will,
but he had his funeral like everything in like a folder. Good,
what songs he wanted, what he didn't want there, what
he wanted there like they had.

Speaker 3 (01:16:30):
They just basically handed it over and was like, this
is everything you want.

Speaker 5 (01:16:33):
Me too, man, it is. I have an entire an
entire paragraph in my will devoted to cremation. Really, I
don't want people looking at me at the box same.
I don't want you exactly Gandhi were the same.

Speaker 2 (01:16:45):
Yeah, not a chance, man. I would like you to
remember me at my best, not whatever happens there.

Speaker 5 (01:16:49):
No exactly. I think a pile of ashes would have
me at my best, Gandhi, don't you agree with that.

Speaker 3 (01:16:55):
Without a doubt.

Speaker 2 (01:16:56):
That's everybody should do that. You should totally plan it
because it's also very stressful for the pole in your
life when they're going through something. So sad to have
to plan that. Yeah, but I do have some questions
about what happened to Scott in this morning, because we
do know that he's a drama queen. So he's telling
us it was a boulder the size of his fist.

Speaker 5 (01:17:11):
Yes, it was.

Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
I saw it, and then I asked him if he
would send me pictures of the damage. Or what happened.
I've gotten no pictures.

Speaker 5 (01:17:16):
I didn't see that. I'll send it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
So I'm feeling like it could have been a pebble.

Speaker 5 (01:17:19):
No, it wasn't. It was like you know, rock came
from bullets or the size of pebbles, and even even
pebbles hitting your windshield at seventy miles an hour can
be allowed and windshield you will know, Scott. That's all
I'm just saying. Blue my ear jumps out to my
ears were ringing like half an hour. It was so loud.
It was so loud. Well as they say, see fish

(01:17:42):
safe fast that the other coming out.

Speaker 3 (01:17:44):
You know, that happened to me when I was in college.

Speaker 5 (01:17:46):
Wall you died with a rock hett in your windshield.

Speaker 7 (01:17:49):
A rock hit my windshield. You will no, it cracked
into a million pieces. And the police said, you're lucky
to be alive right now. And it had caved in
on you, yeah, you would have been done. And I
didn't want to drive anymore. And my dad said, if
you don't get in the car now, you're never gonna drive.
You need to get back on the horse and drive right.

Speaker 5 (01:18:08):
And I always think, what if it's a two by
four that comes off a truck and it tails me.
It doesn't matter what it is. Gets your will done. Yes,
back to what you were saying about not wanting to
be laying there in the box, right you're a little
Waxi guy, or you know you ain't he cremated, remember
I think he was gandha you sent me that picture.
There's a culture in Africa that at your funeral dresses
you up as your profession. So you would be sitting

(01:18:29):
there with hand arms and phones on behind a board.
I'd be out on the stage at Madison Square, Mass
Square Garden introducing Renee. Somebody I don't know, like Danielle
would have a computer in front of her with a
scattered bunch of papers with their mouth open, laughing.

Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
Yep, just taxidermy, like you're finding right there.

Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (01:18:48):
You know a friend of mine went to a well
memorial service in someone's home in the Caribbean somewhere and
they they have them sending up in their suit in
the corner.

Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
This is on Instagram. Now, somebody like behind like a
fake car driving the car. Dude, No, it's free. Could
you imagine walking in and there they are like, yeah,
driving their car.

Speaker 5 (01:19:08):
It's a part of their culture. Okay, and you know what,
I think that's awesome. It's great. I mean, I don't
you know, I don't want you to have me sitting
in a car in the corner. You want to have
a choice, you'll be dead. We could do whatever want.
It's in my will. That's my point. Moving on. So
if if you go to my Instagram on my iPhone
right now and you do the search and the algorithm

(01:19:28):
comes up, yeah, good god, I want to clear that.
I've done everything in my power to clear that thing. Well,
you need it. I don't like this thumbs down there.
I don't. I don't have time. But you're saying they're
about to change that.

Speaker 2 (01:19:39):
They did change it. Yeah, so already they did.

Speaker 5 (01:19:41):
Yes, I gotta go.

Speaker 2 (01:19:43):
So Adamisemi, who is the head of Instagram, he was
talking about how they've made some mistakes and that's why
our algorithm pages and our Instagram pages suck. Right now, now,
before you do this, keep in mind, when you do it,
you're really gonna wipe all of the things that Instagram
knows about you. So you're gonna be starting from scratch.
But you get to build it, Yes, the way that
you want to build it.

Speaker 5 (01:20:02):
See, I'm not like you guys. I don't rely on
social media. I don't care. Yeah you guys do. You
guys are always and you should. They actually want you
to hear at iHeartMedia. I'm the one they hate because
I don't feed my Instagram. I losing followers every day.
I don't care.

Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
I've been shadow band for like a year and a half.

Speaker 5 (01:20:21):
What did you do now? Your shadow band again?

Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
I don't know what happened, but somebody sent me the
thing that when you search me baby hot Sauce, a
warning is still popping up saying, hey, you could be
checking out dangerous content. So whatever. But if you want
to reset your algorithm, you go to content preffer, You
go to your profile settings and then content Preferences, and
then you have your options to just completely wipe it.
He says he doesn't recommend doing it all the time

(01:20:45):
because you're going to start from scratch every time. I don't,
but yeah, like through political season, through everything that's been
going on, if you just need a cleanse and you're
like I cannot look at these things anymore in a
bad place, reset it.

Speaker 5 (01:20:56):
You can do that, now, Okay, how do I do it?
Again one more time.

Speaker 2 (01:20:58):
You go to your profile set and then content preferences
and you can wipe it that way.

Speaker 5 (01:21:04):
All right, thank you, Scotty, one more time. All right?
Moving on. Hey, you know we are the godparents of
Norwegian Bliss, in my opinion, the most beautiful ship in
the world.

Speaker 3 (01:21:18):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:21:19):
Norwegian has since come out with other ships that they
claim are more beautiful, and they are stunning. Of course,
Bliss will always be our favorite. We have Katie Perry
as a godparent, We have Louis Fons as a godparent.
I mean, we have tons of ball Pitt Poll. Well,
now they're coming up with another beautiful ship, Norwegian Aqua.

(01:21:40):
It's gonna be gorgeous. They have chosen, in my opinion,
an excellent choice. Not only will he be a great godparent,
but a great spokesperson. You'll see him on the commercials,
You'll see him all over the place. Eric stone Street,
of course, who played Cameron Tucker on Modern Family. Yes,
he will be the godparent of Norwegian in Aqua.

Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
That's awesome.

Speaker 5 (01:22:01):
Nice of course.

Speaker 4 (01:22:03):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:22:04):
Their line that I love with Aqua is make new waves.
I love that. Uh, an all new Thai restaurant on board.
I love those drunken noodles.

Speaker 7 (01:22:14):
Yeah, I hope when they launched the ship, I hope
they get Aqua to saying Barbie Girl at the uh oh,
dear lord, this doesn't make so much sense.

Speaker 17 (01:22:23):
It is the name.

Speaker 3 (01:22:26):
Makes sense, so.

Speaker 5 (01:22:27):
Eric stone Street was the only thing in this conversation
that makes sense. Also, they have the world's first hybrid
roller coaster and water slide, the Aqua Slide Coaster, which
I cannot wait to get my badass on. I'm so excited.
Norwegian Aqua offering a series of cruises to tropical destinations
including the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and Bermuda from Miami, Orlando

(01:22:49):
and New York. How do they get a ship to Orlando?

Speaker 4 (01:22:53):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:22:54):
My god? Is Disney World that big wheels it? It's
gonna be amazing. We love Also the fact that Akua
will be taking us to Ncial's private island. Great stirrup key.
So it's all about Norwegian and Aqua. Congratulations to our
new godparent, Eric stone Street. We want to meet him,

(01:23:14):
talk to him, hang out with him. Yes, Nate, what
advice as godparents would you give Eric? Oh, take advantage
of all the free things we get from Norwegia, lots
of perks, what else, you know what? It is great
to be a brand spokesperson because we are so in
love with Norwegian and everything they're all about. And he's

(01:23:35):
gonna love doing that, especially if it's a brand, you
really do love it.

Speaker 3 (01:23:39):
So it's awesome.

Speaker 5 (01:23:40):
Should we take the break? We should take it a break,
so Keiki Palmer her new memoir, new memoir called Master
of Me, and as Gandhi says, perfect timing for everything
she's riding about in here and more. We'll find out
more with her coming up.

Alista ran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 11 (01:24:15):
Live from the Mercedes Benz Interview Lounge.

Speaker 5 (01:24:18):
Wow sounds impressive, don't it It is? Anyway, we love biographies.
We love learning about people their lives and the fact
that I wrote one. You learn a lot about yourself
when you write your own story. I mean, you read
it in the third person like, Oh my god, this guy,
he's had a really screwed up life. Oh that's me.

(01:24:40):
Kind of cool. Anyway, Kiki Palmer has been doing the
business since she was so young, and now here she
is in her thirties, she's still doing it. She wrote
her book called Master of Me, and this is, as
Gandhi was saying, a very perfect, perfectly timed book of course,
with all the stories coming out where we learn more
about people who grew up in the business. What's it
all about? Uh, she's putting she's smoking a cigarette.

Speaker 1 (01:25:03):
What is she doing.

Speaker 5 (01:25:05):
She's putting a lipstick.

Speaker 3 (01:25:06):
Okay, it's doing the lipstick motion with his hand.

Speaker 5 (01:25:10):
I thought you she's out. Kiky's out smoking a cigarette.
She'll be here in a moment. I don't know. Is
lipstick done? Kicky Palmer, come on in here, y.

Speaker 4 (01:25:22):
Right here?

Speaker 3 (01:25:22):
How are you are you? Oh my gosh, she is gorgeous.

Speaker 4 (01:25:27):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (01:25:28):
By the way, when you walk past Danielle, she does
the sniff tap.

Speaker 3 (01:25:31):
Yeah, you smell good.

Speaker 5 (01:25:35):
It's kind of creepy when guests come in and the
first thing we talk about is the way they smell.

Speaker 3 (01:25:40):
But also smelling is a good you know.

Speaker 5 (01:25:42):
Smell can you keep an eye on Key's microphone level.
Make sure you're good. Yes, hey, welcome to the show.
And as you know, when you put a book out,
you gotta get up early in the morning.

Speaker 3 (01:25:53):
Oh my gosh, boy, the last couple of days four am,
four am, there's been no joke.

Speaker 5 (01:25:57):
Welcome to our Hell's no, this is why we look
like this. So Gandhi, our co host is in she's
in Columbus, so she's doing the show there. Froggy is
in Jacksonville up there, Daniel's here, and I'm Elvis, your host.
How's your espresso.

Speaker 3 (01:26:13):
It's fabulous. I do appreciate this obviously for you.

Speaker 5 (01:26:16):
It's honey, this is need Mama needs fuel. You know
what I'm saying. What made you? You don't have to,
You don't have to. The hair's looking perfect, thank you,
headphones ruined, great hair. What made you decide to do
a book? I mean it's a very general, easy question,
but no, what what's your story?

Speaker 17 (01:26:35):
So I did my first book when I was twenty one.
I think it was kind of like it's called I
Don't Belong to You is really about the realization that you,
you know, starting to understand that I don't really, I'm
never going to really get life, you know what I mean.
I think at eighteen, you're assuming, because everybody's like you're grown,
that something's going to click, and it didn't happen. And
so I think I was like living with that, and
I wrote that first book, you know, and it was
about realizing that I don't belong to other people's ideas

(01:26:57):
of me. And so I think this is kind of
like an evolution of what those beginning theories or themes
were in my life, and now it's about mastering me,
mastering and controlling how I feel about those ever changing
waves in my life.

Speaker 5 (01:27:10):
Do you ever look back at your first book and go, Wow,
that was me then, And I'm definitely not there now.
I'm not thinking that way, And I have grown.

Speaker 17 (01:27:16):
Yeah, since then, I think yes, especially my ideas around
the things that I was talking about back then, I
think that's evolved.

Speaker 3 (01:27:24):
My understanding of it has.

Speaker 17 (01:27:25):
You know, you have perspective with time is you know
you're not going to ever really see things for as
they are, I think until you get away from them.
And so when I look at all that's happened in
those ten years and how it's informed my experiences I'm
not the same person.

Speaker 5 (01:27:38):
I'm much clearer.

Speaker 1 (01:27:40):
You know.

Speaker 5 (01:27:40):
Well, so what you're thirty one thirty one years old? Honey,
I am thirty. I'm thirty years older than here, and
I'm not going to tell you right. Oh, oh my gosh,
come on out, really thirty years old. I'll explain this
bad mustache in a second. Thirty one and I'm a
sixty one year old. Oh, she doesn't know anything yet.

Speaker 4 (01:27:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:28:00):
This is the journey of life, the things you grow
and learn, the good, the bad, and God knows, we've
all had all of it.

Speaker 3 (01:28:06):
Yeah, and I talk about it. So I mean, I
agree with you.

Speaker 17 (01:28:08):
I think there's again, life is going to keep on
teaching you more and more and more like what I
thought it twenty one changed from what I think at
thirty one, and it's going to keep on going forty one,
fifty one, et cetera, et cetera. But I want to
remember myself the way that I know me. I think
that's also a part of why I started to love
writing books like this is because I get to tell

(01:28:28):
my own story. You know the subtitle, it's Master of Me.
But it's the secret to controlling your narrative and I
think that's so important in life because so many people
try to tell.

Speaker 3 (01:28:36):
You who you are.

Speaker 5 (01:28:37):
Well, now I have two books on the top of
my stack, my mountain of books, Key Keys of Course,
Master of Me and Share Part one.

Speaker 3 (01:28:45):
Oh my gosh, yes, Share Part one. Now where's part
two at?

Speaker 5 (01:28:47):
She hasn't even started it.

Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
Yeah, wow, So part one came out yesterday.

Speaker 5 (01:28:52):
She almost didn't do too.

Speaker 3 (01:28:53):
I love that it's just being known though it's known
that it's coming.

Speaker 10 (01:28:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:28:56):
Before, so Gandi and I were talking, we were all
three talking earlier about how the timing of this book.
We are in very much assumption that it is perfect
for the times with other people who are in the business,
right Gandhi, what were you saying?

Speaker 1 (01:29:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:29:10):
Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (01:29:10):
Can she hear me without the headphone?

Speaker 5 (01:29:12):
Oh well a little bit? Can you hear?

Speaker 1 (01:29:13):
Yeah? I can't.

Speaker 5 (01:29:14):
Now, don't miss with the hair, don't miss what the.

Speaker 2 (01:29:18):
Hair is incredible? No, I just I know that so
much has been going on, and you've been in Hollywood.
Growing up on its own is crazy. Growing up in
Hollywood has to be crazier. And now we're getting all
of these stories coming out where people are finally stepping
forward and saying Hey, here's what I saw, and here's
what I am not okay with. In that context, what
have you learned?

Speaker 17 (01:29:39):
I think the biggest thing I've learned or I realize.
And maybe this is just you know, my reframing, but
is that we all? I mean, the industry is so sensationalized.
Being a child entertainer is so sensationalized. It's a unique experience.
I'm not going to doubt that. But I do think
a lot of us were parentalized children. I mean, you know,
especially those of us that grew up in an inner
city community or you know, not with a.

Speaker 3 (01:30:01):
Lot of money. We had to get out and do
it our own way and handle you know, kind of
like lose our innocence to a certain degree.

Speaker 17 (01:30:07):
And so a big part of what I talk about
in the book when I do share my stories, you know,
it's not just to say, hey, this is my life,
but it's to show the similarities of what we're all experiencing,
trying to make it, you know, losing our innocence, the
necessary losses that come with growing up. So even though
minds are in the backdrop of entertainment, I really always
try to pull it down and ground myself These are
the themes we all experience in life. You know you're

(01:30:29):
not gonna get your childhood back, and there is no
perfect childhood. There's always some stuff that you wish you
could have did, especially when you watch a Disney Channel
show and you're like, why my life ain't like that?

Speaker 3 (01:30:38):
You know what nobody is?

Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
You know nobody's I think that you have been able
to figure out a way to still navigate Hollywood and
maintain your innocence and still be a kid, Like do
you have advice for little kiddie stars right now?

Speaker 3 (01:30:51):
I don't.

Speaker 17 (01:30:52):
My honest answer would be the innocence will be lost.
It will be lost. Innocence is lost in responsibility, and
I think it's a necessary loss. I mean think you
should try to, you know, pace it out right, because
you don't want to be overwhelmed. You don't want to
take on too much. But sometimes that's what life hands you.
And so I think I deal more in not feeling
bad around that it is what it is. I think

(01:31:14):
acceptance is so important. We can sit and we can
dwell and we can say, well, I wish I had
it more like this. I wish I had it like that.

Speaker 3 (01:31:20):
But overall, I.

Speaker 17 (01:31:22):
Am grateful for the discipline, the responsibilities, the things that
I learned having the childhood that I had, you know,
and I don't think it you know, I don't. I
wouldn't change it, and I don't think it can change
whether you are Keekie Palmer, lebron James, Kobe Bryant. You know, sports,
doing anything that you're going to be focused on and
putting your all into is going to require you to

(01:31:43):
be responsible and for you to take on things you
otherwise wouldn't And there is a loss of innocence for
a child in that.

Speaker 5 (01:31:49):
Okay, are you at the age where you finally can
look back and say and look at the most awful
train wreck moments of your life and go, you know what,
I can but I needed that, yes, you know, and
it's hard to do that because you never want to
put yourself through that or any other you don't want
anyone to lift that. But you did and you got

(01:32:11):
up to the other side.

Speaker 1 (01:32:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 17 (01:32:12):
I mean I've had so many situations like that, personal
and professional. You know, it's like you know, you call
it like a situational accelerator where the situation slowly it's
it's situational accelerator. I got this from Society Fast Sensational
Situational Situational Accelerator. Okay, so it's like, you know, the
situation literally accelerates you without it, otherwise you maybe wouldn't have,

(01:32:35):
you know, be at the place you are of understanding
or perspective or whatever it is. And so yeah, I
feel like for me in my life, I've had so
many moments where I've the situation has accelerated me to
seeing things in a different way, having to lean into it.
I'm big on leaning and surrendering into it because that's
the only way that you get through it. And it's
cliche when we say that, but it really is true
because I have to be honest with myself. If I'm

(01:32:56):
not honest with myself in these situations, then there's no
way for me to overcome.

Speaker 5 (01:33:00):
Denial is zerr enemy, It really is, It really is.
I grew up in a house of denial. I mean,
we we would just all that, all that's awful that happened,
Let's have lunch and you get nowhere. You do not
grow with that.

Speaker 17 (01:33:14):
Yeah, but it's tough. It's tough, the emotions pieces tough.
I FuG we beat ourselves up so much as human
beings for having emotions, you know, but it's like that
is the experience, you know, we kind of have to
have them.

Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
That's the experience, you know.

Speaker 17 (01:33:25):
To feel sad, to feel happy. If we wasn't, we'd
just be like some floating things that don't feel not that.

Speaker 5 (01:33:30):
We're We're all loving the roller coaster, right, we got to,
we got to. Do you want a straight train track
or you want a roller coaster? I prefer the roller
coast way. We learn, we learn.

Speaker 7 (01:33:39):
And now you worked for Universal, you've worked for Disney.
So do you if you had a pick one, do
you have a preference?

Speaker 5 (01:33:45):
Say it right now?

Speaker 17 (01:33:48):
Yeah, I mean, I will be honest. I love working
for Disney. I really did love working for them because
I love what their brand stands for. I like the
stories that they tell, you know, whether it's Pixar, whether
it's walk where, you know, all the different aspects of it.
I think they're a great storytelling business overall. And then
if I could say who I liked working with just technically, hmmm,

(01:34:14):
I don't know. I guess that they would be the
best one. Because I've worked at every different version of Disney.
I worked for what I did gm A, I've hosted
for them for Disney. Plus I've did Disney Channel.

Speaker 3 (01:34:23):
I did you know?

Speaker 4 (01:34:25):
Uh?

Speaker 17 (01:34:25):
I did what is the one we did but with
light Year? So yeah, I mean, yeah, I think I
liked working with Disney, you know what I mean. But
I liked working with Universal as well. It was a good,
enjoyable time. But yeah, yeah, Disney is fun.

Speaker 5 (01:34:39):
Hey, you know, and I'm stealing this from so when
I read I read this from the other day. Look back,
I mean, let's go back to barbershop too. Let's go.
Let's let's go back where I first fell in love
with Dicky Parker. Let's go back to those days to now.
What is a memory you can just flash on right now,
A memory you want to hold on to forever, something

(01:35:01):
you never to let go of. This memory just be one,
doesn't have to be the one.

Speaker 17 (01:35:07):
Right exactly. I mean, I just remember turning. I think
I turned ten on that set, and I remember Michael Ealy.
He was so fine even back then. Okay, but I
think I remember being on that set, the feeling of
being a performer and like the cameras being on you
and doing I always loved following directions. I always loved

(01:35:30):
the act. I think that was the sportsmanship of acting.
Aside from the emotions and all the other aspects to
being an artist. It was a director. I'm helping a director.
I'm collaborating with a group of people to get a
vision across. And when I first discovered that, you know,
to be that I could be used in that way
for a bigger picture. That's what I fell in love with.

Speaker 5 (01:35:50):
So at ten years old, it wasn't playtime anymore. You
saw there was something else going on. As a young girl,
I did.

Speaker 3 (01:35:55):
And I couldn't articulate it.

Speaker 17 (01:35:57):
But like even as early as being in a church
I talk about this in the book, like seeing my
mom perform, I wouldn't have been able to articulate it,
but I knew that there was a chain reaction from
her singing and what the audience felt and us in
the congregation. That being something that brought people together, that's
what I wanted to be a part of. And I
think artistry was an entry point and it still is
an entry point for me to get to that.

Speaker 5 (01:36:19):
You've ever done stage work done Broadway?

Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
I I did a Cinderella.

Speaker 5 (01:36:22):
Did you find some satisfaction in that.

Speaker 3 (01:36:24):
I found a ton of Saturday because they're there.

Speaker 5 (01:36:26):
Yes, I mean, if they don't like you, you kind
of feeling. So it's on.

Speaker 17 (01:36:32):
It's on immediate gratification of that audience watching you, you
watching them, You performing and NonStop.

Speaker 3 (01:36:38):
There's no cut you know what I mean. It's just
action and you go until the show is over.

Speaker 17 (01:36:42):
And it was an amazing experience that I realized for
me was I was, you know, even though I hadn't
done a lot of theater yet, I was a theater
kid because my parents were in theater and that's how
they trained me as a performer.

Speaker 5 (01:36:53):
Hey, Gandhi had another question for you. What's that? Gandhi?

Speaker 2 (01:36:56):
So you have so many talents. You've done a million things,
from hosting to acting. We know that you're a good singer.
You've obviously done Broadway. Is there a chance that we
get more of that in the future from you?

Speaker 17 (01:37:05):
Yeah, I would love to do Broadway again. You know,
it's so funny. I just was watching a clip of
Dinzel online. He was like, you don't learn how to
act the movies. You learn how to act on stage.
And I was like, shit, I got to be back
on stage. But I am actually gonna be doing something
next year, and I'm hoping everything goes good. You know,
it's so hard to get one of those Broadway theaters.
But there's a project with spring Hill and Debbie Allen

(01:37:25):
called Ali and Fletcher about the Mohamad Ali story and
his relationship with Stephen Fletcher. And I would be playing
his Mohamad Ali's first wife, Sanji, and so I'm very
excited about that. It's just it's a play, so there's
no music. But I love being on stage. I would love,
obviously to work with Debbie Allen. She's iconic.

Speaker 5 (01:37:43):
Debbie Allen, the full package.

Speaker 3 (01:37:46):
Yes, you know, she really does well.

Speaker 5 (01:37:49):
I could be like the first old white gay guy,
Debbie Allen. She's gonna spin her coffee, uncle, Debbie Allen, come.

Speaker 3 (01:37:58):
On, guncle here for that.

Speaker 4 (01:38:02):
Why not?

Speaker 3 (01:38:02):
Oh my gosh, I mean why not. By the way,
I have a question about the book. If I listen
to it on like an audible, are you telling you
the story?

Speaker 4 (01:38:09):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (01:38:10):
Yes, so taken on the audible.

Speaker 3 (01:38:13):
I live take an edible. Turn on audible. Now that's
a move.

Speaker 5 (01:38:16):
That's a move if you're just turning us on. A
master of me is her new biography. It's Keiky Palmer.
Of course I love the cover. Thank you, Okay, of course,
I'm sure you've been asked. I'm gonna ask you again.
It's a beautiful photo of Kiki and she's holding a marionette,
who obviously is you, I'm assuming yep. So meaning you're
a puppet, you're being you're controlling you, or someone's controlling you.

(01:38:40):
This is the old you that's now being controlled by you.
You just be controlled by others. What the hell is
going on?

Speaker 17 (01:38:45):
I think it was a lot of everything you just said.
I think I think that the truth is I've always
been controlling me. But I think as you grow older,
you become more concrete and intentional behind the moves you make,
and the influences outside of you don't have as much
of an impact anymore. And so I chose this cover
because also as a performer, people are always trying to

(01:39:09):
tell you who to be and how to be, or
even just existing as a performer, you're kind of seen
as this one dimensional thing. And I'm moving in a
place for me in my career that I've always wanted
to because I'm not just a performer.

Speaker 3 (01:39:21):
I have ideas behind that you know, I put you
know for me, Keiki Palmer.

Speaker 17 (01:39:26):
It's a brand that my mother and I created, and
I want to start to tell that full story, not
just the story of what movie I'm doing or this
thing that I'm in, but like the real meaning behind
why I started in this business, what it means for
my community, where I want to take it, and what
I want, you know, not in this overly drawn out thing,
but what I want my legacy to be.

Speaker 3 (01:39:44):
I don't want it to just be me, Kiki. I
wanted to be.

Speaker 17 (01:39:46):
Everything I stood for, you know. And so that's that's
the next chapter of what I'm talking about. When it
comes to the story I'm telling to my audience.

Speaker 5 (01:39:53):
Well, in just fifteen minutes, look at all of the
definition that she is has shown or shined the life
on her. And we've learned so much about you. But
you're not leaving yet.

Speaker 7 (01:40:03):
Yes, yes, So now you're growing up in this business.
You know all about this business, you're writing about it.
Your son comes to you and says, Mom, this is
what I want to do with my life. Do you
say yes or do you say run.

Speaker 3 (01:40:13):
The other direction?

Speaker 17 (01:40:14):
I say yes, but I tell him exactly what I
was just telling y'all which is it's going to come with, Like,
by the way, if it's not entertainment, it's going to
be something.

Speaker 3 (01:40:22):
You know, he's gonna want to do something.

Speaker 5 (01:40:24):
And you can see it already because.

Speaker 17 (01:40:26):
You know everybody likes something. I want him to find something.
If it's sports, if it's writings, painting. Oh my god,
he's not even too yet. He'll be two in February.

Speaker 5 (01:40:33):
But you know what he's already in his eye could
be a ham stage. Yes, yes, he can take the spot.

Speaker 17 (01:40:38):
Personality is coming through. And it's crazy, it really is.
He's always attacking his aunties.

Speaker 3 (01:40:43):
It's too much.

Speaker 17 (01:40:44):
But yeah, I would just tell him that what my
parents told me is that you start something, you finish it,
you know what I mean. I think that's tough sometimes,
but I think it's so important. And even though it
was tough for me in moments, I'm really happy that
I stuck through my thing, which was performing, and I've
learned so much about myself through staying committed into that.
So that's why I would let him know, is that
if you're going to start something, you need to finish it,

(01:41:05):
and I'm gonna make sure you finish it. So if
you would soccer, if it's acting and we commit to
doing it, son, then that's gonna be the thing until
we realize like maybe you know, finish it all the
way to the end. If you still don't want to
do it, then cool. But when you get over that,
heel that you start to have that true relationship with
that thing.

Speaker 5 (01:41:23):
Wow, you know, and just hearing you speak about your
life and how you definitely are taking the reins you're
in charge. There's a lot of power into being able
to as an actor sit back and let someone else
take a little bit of control over your movements, your thoughts,
how you process apart. Yes, and the story absolutely. So

(01:41:45):
you have to really trust yourself to be able to
let So it's like I have to go I have
to go in for brain surgery. I have to know
I got to give up. I gotta or let the
surgeon's in charge now, Yes, the pilot in front of
the plane, he's in charge of my life now and
I have to submit to that.

Speaker 1 (01:42:03):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (01:42:03):
And it takes self love to be able to let
others drive the car.

Speaker 1 (01:42:08):
It really does.

Speaker 17 (01:42:08):
And it's there's so much autonomy. I think we get
scared sometimes with that reality. But there's so much an
atonity autonomy in saying I choose you as my doctor,
or I choose you as the director, or I choose
you as the producer I'm gonna make this, I choose
you as the collaborator that I'm going to do my
show with. There's still autonomy and you surrendering yourself to
that person. And that's why I always say you should
have partners that you respect. You know, anytime you go

(01:42:29):
into a situation like I'm gonna set sometimes and I'll
see an actor going back and forth with director, I'm like,
what you did this movie for?

Speaker 3 (01:42:36):
If you didn't trust the dude, why'd you do the movie?
You know what I mean?

Speaker 17 (01:42:39):
And so for me, that's one of the most exciting
things to do as a collaborator in anything I do,
is to surrender with my partner and to find that
thing together, you know, because that's I think that's what
it's about.

Speaker 5 (01:42:51):
We only have a few more seconds, Gandhi head of question.
I took the headphones.

Speaker 2 (01:42:56):
We go again. I know that you were re simply
talking about your experience with the mac Gala. Is the
mac Gala something you would recommend other people going to?
Or is it something people should avoid.

Speaker 17 (01:43:08):
I don't know that people should avoid it, but I
definitely don't know that it's for everybody.

Speaker 3 (01:43:12):
Right, you go back, So wait, what was your experience?
What did you think?

Speaker 5 (01:43:16):
I just felt out of place. I felt uncomfortable. I
didn't like what I was wearing, all these people around
me were and I was being pushed around. I feel
like it was in a hallway.

Speaker 3 (01:43:23):
Most people could feel that way. It's a lot going on.

Speaker 5 (01:43:26):
It doesn't matter how much big of a celebrity or
whatever you are, you still get you feel pushed around,
and a carpet.

Speaker 7 (01:43:32):
Like the most exciting thing, and then once you get
inside it's not as exciting.

Speaker 3 (01:43:35):
Yeah, I think that.

Speaker 17 (01:43:36):
I mean, there's like a performance aspect. So if you like,
you know, if you're interested in who's a performer, or
if you know people in there, you know you have
people that you want to talk to. But ultimately, I
think it's like a you know, I realized and without saying,
like a networking event. But essentially, it's a place for
you to collaborate with fashion, you know, as an entertainer,
whatever your medium means, it's an opportunity for you to

(01:43:56):
find other people to collaborate and tell stories with. But
I don't think that you feel that way going in
the first time. It's kind of overwhelming, you don't really
your fashion can feel elitist, so you sometimes are like
did I wear the right thing? And you're questioning, you're
a vibin, did I get the theme right? But once
you've gone back a couple more times, you realize, Okay,
this is I'm really with a group of storytellers and

(01:44:18):
they're used in fashion to tell their story, and then
that becomes a little bit more interesting, you know what
I'm saying. Like the first couple of times I went
with Sergio Hudson and he was the person that really
helped me to understand it from that standpoint, you know.
And then I you know, went the second the next
time with Mark Jacobs and the same thing. And so
it can become a really cool thing if you're into it.
So if you're not, then it's like, uh, but if

(01:44:38):
you are, you know what I mean, then I would say.

Speaker 4 (01:44:40):
Go for it.

Speaker 5 (01:44:41):
You know who I'm loving this is a designer who
listens to our show's been listening to our show since Okay,
He's amazing. His name is stand By Evan hirshh Okay,
he's a big he's a big listener. Hew, he's got
a lot of stuff. I mean, I need to see
you some. And Evan Hirst, you do you do?

Speaker 3 (01:44:58):
I gotta get Evin stun me.

Speaker 5 (01:44:59):
Come on, So did you get to did you get
the answer to the question? Because we don't want in off,
we splintered off.

Speaker 2 (01:45:05):
Well, I saw that she said Nicki Minaj. She thought
Nicki Minaj was gonna curse her out.

Speaker 3 (01:45:08):
So because she doesn't play, okay, I don't heard something.
So I was like, now, wait a minute, Nikki. You
know I don't do it to me. But yeah, she
was actually really really sweet.

Speaker 17 (01:45:18):
She's I've always had a really good relationship with her
whenever I've seen her. It's not a real relationship, but
like she helped me get my pictures for my for
my uh you know, my baby photos for David la Chappelle.
And then when I seen her at the mc gala,
she was like, you know, pull me to the side.
I didn't know what she was gonna say, because, like
I said, I don't talk to her that much. But
she was really encouraging and it's something that I mentioned
in the book. That I think, and I'm sure you

(01:45:39):
feel the same way. You know, you got all of
us in our industry, you know it, we're normal people
and stuff like that, but the job sometimes makes our
experiences very unique, and even the people closest to us
don't always know how to help us with that. So
I felt, really, I really loved the moment of her
what she shared with me, which was to make selfish

(01:45:59):
choice is even though I feel the weight of people
watching me. Wow, say that again, It's okay to be
selfish and make selfish choices even though people are watching me.
Because your life is your personal life. You're allowed to
have it. And I think I am somebody that takes
my being a public figure quite seriously. And so at
that time when she said that, it was very encouraging

(01:46:20):
to me because it's like, yeah, you know what, every
choice I make and everything I do don't have to be.

Speaker 5 (01:46:24):
For the world.

Speaker 3 (01:46:25):
It's okay if it's if it's just for me.

Speaker 5 (01:46:27):
This can apply to people who are not in public,
I mean, anyone, in everyone. No matter what you're doing
in life, you can make selfish choices. You can, and
you should because no one will make those selfish choices
for you, for you. Hey, so there's someone here wants
to meet you. David works in our promo department. He
brought you. He brought you flowers. Don't mess up the

(01:46:48):
hair going on. You brought you some flowers.

Speaker 1 (01:46:52):
It's so sweet.

Speaker 5 (01:46:54):
David was so excited you're coming.

Speaker 17 (01:46:56):
In here todays Babe, David.

Speaker 5 (01:47:00):
David, Kiki Palmer, Damon. Were you nice to meet too?
I never get nervous, but like for you, I'm shaking. David.
What what's your question? So I've been what what have
we learned from Kiki so far? Today? Everything?

Speaker 20 (01:47:18):
I think your book got on Amazon yesterday, so it
was waiting for me when I came home. But your
first work, you talked about not being type casted and
you know, trying to not stick to one role. And
that's kind of what I've been through in my career,
not trying to stick to this one box.

Speaker 4 (01:47:37):
Right.

Speaker 5 (01:47:37):
I was following you forever, and I was telling Diamond
like I was channel hopping with you.

Speaker 20 (01:47:42):
So when you were on Disney would jump in and
then Nick with True Jackson and my grandma and I
saw Kila and the Bee like I was there. So
I'm such a big fan and just thank you for
the representation of me, like growing up being young gay,
not having anybody.

Speaker 5 (01:47:59):
To look up to.

Speaker 20 (01:48:00):
I was like, okay, well I'm not a girl, but
I could definitely watch and learn from you, like just
having that representation, having kind.

Speaker 3 (01:48:10):
I love you, Thanks so much everything that you just said.
It means so much to me.

Speaker 20 (01:48:14):
Seriously, not idols and idols that are still here, still working,
still getting coins.

Speaker 5 (01:48:23):
For everyone, for everyone David you meet. There's hundreds of
thousands of other David's out there, or Donna's or you
know or not my pronoun is it? What does it want?
It's on the phone. But anyway, but David David is

(01:48:43):
vocalizing what many people want to say to you. So
just he is the chorus of of your fans. So
just enjoining those flowers.

Speaker 3 (01:48:50):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (01:48:52):
And I got to tell you, Kiki, it's a pleasure
and honor to have you here. The book is called
Master of Me. Obviously you've heard many reasons why you
need to make this thing in New York Times Bestseller
Are you I learned this with my book. If you're
just on that New York Times bestseller list for one minute,
you've got it because I was for about a.

Speaker 3 (01:49:11):
Minute, Harrie, and I know that's right. Well, you gotta
let me rub on you.

Speaker 5 (01:49:15):
Oh my god, David ky Popper, just love me.

Speaker 20 (01:49:19):
Event.

Speaker 5 (01:49:20):
Thank you so much for coming in. Thank you. It's
you've got a long day when you're pushing books.

Speaker 3 (01:49:25):
You get to my come Gandi. You know y'all got
to be in a studio, y'all got to be.

Speaker 2 (01:49:28):
How sad I am right now? I'm so sad. Every
time we mentioned you, I was like, I'm so sad
that I'm not there today.

Speaker 10 (01:49:33):
I'm not.

Speaker 5 (01:49:35):
You were definitely definitely here, So you are. It's Katy Palmer. Everyone.
Thank you so much.

Speaker 14 (01:49:39):
Thank you guys.

Speaker 18 (01:49:41):
Good morning.

Speaker 5 (01:49:45):

The event only last through November twenty third. Let Macy's
be your guide to gifting shot now at Macy's dot com.

Speaker 4 (01:50:08):
All.

Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
This is Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (01:50:11):
I hate this mustache. I can't wait till this month
is over. I'm sorry, did I say that out loud
into a microphone? Here's the thing. As you know, Alex,
my husband had testicular cancer and thanks to Norfail Health
University standing on the University hospital, he is now walking
proof that when you find the best in the business

(01:50:33):
to take care of you and keep you alive, you
live and you want to go tell their story. That's
why during this month Men's Health Awareness Month, we are
raising money for a Florina cancer center with Norfolk Health
on Staten Island. And uh so one of the one
of the you can't take you seriously with that mustache,

(01:50:57):
Dr Brahem is here. Uh thank you so much brought
him for being here. We appreciate it so much. Now
Northwall Health, I got to talk about this. You know, hospitals.
Usually people think of hospitals, oh my god, that's the
emergency room in case something happens down the street. But
our relationship with Northwill Health has taught us that you
are much more than that. Of course, it's it's a

(01:51:21):
nucleus of incredibly talented people, the men and women who
run that hospital and work there every day in and out.
But also what you do for the community is unheard of.
I mean, and I don't know if you guys take
enough credit for it, So I'm shame on you for
not taking more credit for all the great things Northwell
does and all hospitals in this country of ours do
for the community.

Speaker 21 (01:51:41):
Talk about it, Yeah, if you think about it, it's
the most important building in the community, right It's where
you go when you need help. It's where you go
where when there's something that needs to be changed about
your life in a positive or negative way, when you
know when you're having your baby or when you need
to have your.

Speaker 5 (01:51:57):
Heart fixed up.

Speaker 21 (01:51:58):
But at the same time, it's also the place where
most people first understand what it's like to actually have
a career in healthcare. So that's why it's one of
you know, we feel so strongly about connecting to our
community and making sure that people understand all the amazing
careers that you could actually have actually helping people. So
it's really connecting the hospital to the community is a
big part of what Northwall tries to do in every
single community because we believe so strongly and people actually

(01:52:20):
staying in their own community and being taken care of.
It's a big part of what we believe and by connecting,
that's really how you get there. So many things they
do Daniel Gandhi.

Speaker 5 (01:52:28):
Yes, For instance, everyone in while they'll just shut down
the operating room and open it I mean, which is
a big business operating rooms, they'll shut it down and
bring in people from the community who need to have
teeth cleanings and things like that. And I mean, yeah,
I know, but you know what they don't. They're so
proud they don't take out headlines and the newspapers, so
they depend on us to tell the story. Yeah, okay, seriously,

(01:52:50):
And there's always a million and one things that hospitals,
especially Northwall Health are doing in the community that's so
far beyond the emergency room and going in the heavier heart.

Speaker 21 (01:53:00):
Fixed Well, if you think about it, which is a
major thing, if you think about it, if you have
a development of the delayed kid who needs to be
sedated to have their teeth cleaned, where do you go
to do that?

Speaker 4 (01:53:10):
Right?

Speaker 21 (01:53:10):
I mean, they're not going to let you do it,
and you're not going to just let their teeth fall
out of their head.

Speaker 5 (01:53:14):
So what are you going to do?

Speaker 21 (01:53:15):
And the question is you need to partner with somebody,
and we take that as our responsibility. So yeah, we
set a side time to make sure that people get
what they need because those things are just important.

Speaker 5 (01:53:24):
So if it's Northwalld Health, down the hall, down, down
the hall, down the street from you go onto their
website learn about all they're doing for the community, because
I know you guys do a lot so Flreina Cancer Center.
This new facility is amazing. Maybe maybe when you're there
for a visit, you'll stay in the Alex Carr and
Elvis Durant waiting room.

Speaker 3 (01:53:44):
Oh wait, do you have a waiting room now?

Speaker 5 (01:53:46):
Yeah, I'm sorry, talk to my manager. I have a
waiting room. Anyway, it's a beautiful facility and we took
the Grand tour and we were blown away because you know,
when I was a kid going to hospitals, it sucked
back then because it's frightening. It's fighting for a kid,
it's frightening for an adult. You guys and your staff
have this way of just making everyone calm and understanding

(01:54:10):
what's going on, why they're doing what they're doing. And
they're human beings that make sure you're comfortable. And that
seems to be I know for a fact, that is
the culture there.

Speaker 21 (01:54:20):
Well, the reality is having cancer stinks. I mean, there's
nothing positive about it. So that anything you could actually
do to create the kind of environment where people are
going to be able to put that aside and at
least enjoy a small part of their day while they're
actually there, whether it's the nice environment, whether it's a
smile from people, that connectedness, because I mean, thankfully, I've

(01:54:40):
never had it personally, but I have gone through it
with family members. At the end of the day, it's
an awful experience. So anything you can do to get
people's mind off that and thinking about some of the
positive things is worth it.

Speaker 4 (01:54:51):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (01:54:53):
So let's talk about raising money for Florina Cancer Center.
I know that Alex is just one piece of that puzzle.
I think he's around twenty thousand dollars so far all
over that I think, wow, wow, Yeah, how much were
we up to? Look I saw on my website. Hold on,
So if you want to donate, it's car Crushes Cancer.
You go to Northwell dot edu slash elvis. It's Northwell

(01:55:16):
dot Edo slash Elvis. We are up to twenty two thousand.
His goal is fifty thousand dollars. So where's the money go?
Florina has so many moving parts. Where does the money go?
When it gets there, so.

Speaker 21 (01:55:28):
Really it goes towards the services that actually take care
of the community.

Speaker 4 (01:55:31):
Right.

Speaker 21 (01:55:31):
So there's so many people that go there that are underserved,
that actually that don't have insurance, that actually are able
and the actually go get the same care. Like that's
one of the whole marks of Northwell. We take care
of the whole community, right, regardless of who is actually there.
So money is used to make sure that we have
all the services that everybody needs, some of the nice
to haves versus the you know, you have to have it.

(01:55:51):
So obviously you're always going to have your chemotherapy, you're
always going to have your radiation. But some of the things,
like some of the social programs that you have there,
some of the things that we do with the kids
in terms of toys, in terms of things like that,
those are big deals. You know, we have a box
that spits out books for kids when they're actually coming there.
You know, these are the kinds of programs that we
need support with and some of the nice to haves

(01:56:14):
are really really important. And then you get to the
stuff like equipment. Right, if you think about the fact
that now the cost of medical equipment, you're starting for
a plain old basic monitor and you know, and the
teens of thousands of dollars, you know, just for the
most basic thing. Stuff gets expensive, so it really goes
from the smallest of things to actually take care of
the individual patients all the way up for planning for

(01:56:36):
the future and making sure that people have the most
update equipment.

Speaker 5 (01:56:38):
Well, it is Men's Health Awareness Month, not only physical
but also mental health for the guys you love. That's
why we have these mustaches. Daniel has a mustache as
well mine.

Speaker 3 (01:56:49):
I wear mine all year alone.

Speaker 5 (01:56:51):
She wears it year round, so I can't. I cannot
wait till the end of the month to take this
mustache off. But until then, I love telling the story
because if I must just look great, no one would
ask questions. Looks great, but no one asked you like
why why are you wearing that? Nasty busts like me?
But see, at least I can tell the story, and uh,
it's easy. Go to northwll dot edu slash Alex or

(01:57:13):
Elvis slash Elvis if you want to donate now, and
thank you guys for coming in. This is a This
is a lot of you know, there's a lot going
into this for us as a family and for any
family this is going through cancer or went through cancer.
You know exactly what we're talking about.

Speaker 21 (01:57:27):
And so thanks to you and your team and Florina,
thanks you so much for having us men get your screenings.
If everybody else in your life, make sure your loved
ones get their screenings and saves lives.

Speaker 3 (01:57:37):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (01:57:37):
Yeah, guys, never never be afraid to while you're taking
a shower, check things out. I forgot you this morning, Nate,
can you come here? And so we'd love for you
to once again to check out Northwell Health Northwell dot
edu slash Elvis God, there's so many things in my

(01:57:58):
brain right now. We love Northwell Health. Thank you guys
so much for coming in today. Fabulous Alis daurand dear God,
what's this woman doing?

Speaker 1 (01:58:07):
And the morning show?

Speaker 5 (01:58:10):
All right, shows done, Let's get out of here until
next time. Say peace out, everybody, Peace out, everybody,

An unlicensed lizard psychologist travels the universe talking to strangers about absolutely nothing. TO CALL THE GECKO: follow me on https://www.twitch.tv/lyleforever to get a notification for when I am taking calls. I am usually live Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays but lately a lot of other times too. I am a gecko.
