Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
You know, we need to send an apology out there
to the universe that we talk about food a lot
on this show, right a lot. Yeah too, And we
know how it feels if you have to if you
have to do a blood draw, you know, they need
to do some testing on your blood. You can't eat,
you have to you have to fast and so wait,
it's not good when you work with people who talk
(00:26):
about food and eat right in front of you, as
we will do. We don't care. Like, remember the other day,
Scary had to go in for a blood testing. We're like, long,
I'm like, that's nice. Samantha online twenty. Here's us talking
about fasting for blood work all the time, and she
can sympathize. She just had her blood drawn. Was it?
When'd you have your blood drawn? Samantha?
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Oh, at seven thirty this morning was my appointment. I
had to go fasting last night at like seven thirty
at night, and normally after seven thirty, Yeah, normally after
seven thirty eight o'clock. I don't eat, But it seems
like the moment they tell you cannot eat, you're starving.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
The whole day the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
That's the point. So no coffee, and the good news
is you got an early blood draw. Can you imagine
if you had to fast all the way till like
one o'clock this afternoon.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
I know, I.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Work.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
I could not do it because I need coffee in
the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Okay. So another thing is when you're fasting for a
blood draw and testing, you start thinking and obsessing over
the first thing you're going to eat when you can
eat something? So did you do that?
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Yeah? Is my doctor conveniently is five minutes away from Wendy's.
So I immediately left our office until five minutes up
the road, got like the baconat or breakfast sandwich and
French toastick.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
And I'm like eating French toasticks.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
Driving on the highway because I lived like twenty minutes
away from And I'm like, yeah, there's still good.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
You're convinced you're going to starve to death. Oh my god,
I've been eaten since seven.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
But you're good now, right, I am, I'm stuff now,
I'm It's just horrible. As soon as they tell you
can't eat, that's when you are the hungry at exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Yeah, it's always that first meal after you get your
blood taken and drawn. Well, I tell you what. Thanks
to our friends at wendy since you're a huge Wendy's fan,
I hear it, We're going to give you a fifty
dollars Wendy's gift card so you can spend it. But
also Wendy's is giving you a two hundred and fifty
dollars cash gift card. You can spend that anywhere in
(02:39):
any way you like as well. Congratulation yea, oh my god,
you do. You're very welcome. My gosh, I'm starting.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
That's not a lot of fasting breakfasts.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
After we're done with this show, I'm like, the first
thing I'm gonna eat. I have some leftovers. I can't
wait to dive into that. All right, thank you so
much for listening, Samantha, Hold on one second. Yeah. You know,
when they tell you you can't eat, you need to
eat immediately. That's how it works because you obsess over it.
So we went to Almah as we always do on Sundays.
We went to Alma yesterday and we were there for
dinner and I brought home some pasta, some soup, and
(03:14):
I brought home some let's see, ohsubuko ragou on on pasta. Oh,
so that's what I've been eating during the songs this morning.
My leftover so good.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
I'm hungry.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
It is so good. By the way, speaking of Wendy's,
they have the three ninety nine Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I'm

bring lunch that you never bring lunch talk you never
brown baggett. What are you talking about it? Because no,
I'm gonna be here several hours today and I'm gonna
have to be carried through the afternoon, and I didn't
think about it.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
So it works.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
There's a Wendy's right down those sixth Avenue, the three
nine nine Wendy Spicy Chicken Sandwich. But you got to
get it when you order it from your Wendy's app.
That's how you get it for three ninety nine. So
you know how it is. How the Wendys app works.
You've got one scary you order it on your Wendy's
app to pick up. Then when you get in there
to pick it up, it's only three nine and nine,
(04:19):
but you got to do it on your app. It's
an in the app offer from Wendys. Try your spicy

in app. Thank you Weddy's. We love you very much. Also,
you know, over the weekend, I went to that impossible

this place?

What is it? It's it's at Louis Vauton on the
Ronald Stith Avenue with.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
The big cases that's like outside, like, oh.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah, it's across the street from that building. Yeah, that's
not really the Louis Vuitton building, but that's the Louis
Vuitton cases that are on that building. Across the street
is the Louis Vuitton store and up on the fourth
floor is the LV Cafe or third floor. And it's
like it's like a five six hour wait to get
into that thing. And during this I'm telling you all
ab uptown and all Fifth Avenue where everyone's shopping. It's insane.
(05:07):
Insane and over the weekend even twice. It's insane. Wow,
But the line to get in isn't It's crazy. Then
they have this chocolate bar and that has an hour
and a half wait just to buy chocolate. Whoa, it's
very good chocolate. Yes, to buy chocolate.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
Did you wait and get chocolate?
Speaker 2 (05:24):
No? Chocolate have like the insignia on it, the Louis Vutan.
A lot of it does. But a lot of the
dishes at lunch have the Louis Vuton logo stamped on them,
like the croutons in the salad had l V on them.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
So how many people? How many people take those things
and put them in their purse?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
I would if I had a purse and if had
to eat them all because they were so good. But
everything we ate was amazing everything. And they brand the
croutons also the little the the top bun for the
like the sliders, they brand the logo there. A lot
of the desserts have their brand all over the built
in and baked in. It's insane. Were you gonna say something, Gandhi?
Speaker 5 (06:09):
I did wait in the line for over an hour
this weekend for candy at a place called Bonbond on
Allen Street. Apparently that place is like popping from TikTok
and all these different social media sites. The candy was
actually really good. I can't even lie.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
So they use natural, more real ingredients than a lot
of the candy. Here there's another dye in it. But
the chocolate was incredible. It was really really good. I
might you bring any Oh no, I gotta decide if
I want to share it with you guys, because I.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Wait, realize I have someone lu baton chocolate chairs. I
gotta go. So we went to all My last night
for dinner, got the poss office who brought it home.
Just ate it for breakfast. There's nothing bad.
Speaker 3 (06:48):

Speaker 2 (06:49):
I love doggy bag leftovers. A lot of people want
to eat them, they refuse to eat them. Do you
know anyone who does that?
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Oh no, I don't think I talked to anybody, but uh, it.
Speaker 3 (07:01):

were at jingle Ball Friday night, they say hi. Akile
says hi. He's dying for us to come back in.
Speaker 3 (07:09):

Almah and I run into them, and I've told you before.
Every time someone goes to Almah, it says they listened
to our show and they heard about Alma on the show.
I get a free glass of wine. Oh wow, they
owe me so much wine. They owe me like fourteen
bottles of wine over there. It's fantastic. I told you.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
I was shopping in like I think it was Bloomingdale's
and I heard a woman on the phone talking about
a bridal shower and she said, have you heard of
this place?
Speaker 4 (07:33):

Speaker 1 (07:34):
I'm hearing it's like the all the rage and that
the food is amazing. And she's like, maybe we should
have the shower there, and I'm like creeping on her,
like listening on the whole conversation.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Make sure you tell them you heard it from us,
because daddy needs more wine. Yes, it's free. I get
free wine at almost I love it. You keep me
