Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sylvis Durand at our twenty twenty four iHeartRadio. Jingle Ball
presented by Capitol One, Live from the Mercedes Been's Interview Lounge.
Madison Beer had a great year. Let's talk about rhyme
it did?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
It did?
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Madison Beer had a great year. Boom, Let's see a
tour and album. Yes, jingle Ball ending.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
The year, truly ending my years. My last show of
the year. So you grew up.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
In this area in Long Island, right, Long Island? So
was jingle Ball a concert you ever got to see? When? Yes?
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Absolutely so. It's insane being here insane?
Speaker 1 (00:29):
What was it like? I mean, were you in the
seats going that's the stage I want to be on
one day?
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Oh? Of course. I mean even just the fact the
word MSG has been my dream since I was god
knows how old, and I've been talking about it forever.
So to be here tonight is surreal. I don't think
it's going to hit me till I get off stage.
I'm kind of in a day's dream right now.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Okay, you'll come up stations, its just faint. Probably the
paramedics will rush you out, an I think that's.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
The best plan, you know, I think if I thought
about it too much before the show, I won't end
up getting on stage. I'll be so afraid. Don't do
that and I'll just faint after.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Don't be rushed off this aged by paramedics and PTONA
control what happens anyway. Yea, but what an incredible dream
come true story. Yeah, a little girl, that little hell
o were you when you came? I was twelve, Okay,
your little girl sitting at Madison Square Garden and you
look upon this stage, are going one day? Yeah? And
here you are. So if you ever have little girls
(01:22):
coming to use going, I want to do what you
do Madison Beer. Oh do you say, well your dreams
or your dreams?
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
I want to encourage, especially young passionate girls like I
was just loved to say and wanted to perform so badly.
Just follow your dreams. It hasn't been easy, and I
try to make it known. It takes. It's you know,
it's the journey here is long, but it's so worth it,
and I'm so proud of myself. And yeah, I would
I would love for anyone to follow their dreams.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Of course, Well, I'm sure there have been many challenges
because good things come from being challenged totally. What was
one of the challenges that used to irritate you and
you just didn't think you were doing well with it,
and now you've you're managing it and you're like, uh uh,
that's that's the thing in the review marreor it's my past.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
I mean, while I was dropped when I was sixteen
from my label and my management, I got sign when
I was twelve, dropped when I was sixteen, and thought
that was clearly the end of the road for me
and that nothing was ever going to happen because all
these powerful music industry folks said that I was not
good enough, essentially, and I stuck my heels into the
ground and I just kept going at it and I
didn't let anybody dictate my future other than me. And
(02:23):
I think that's something that I've grown to be really
really proud of, especially now that I'm twenty five looking
back and when I meet sixteen year olds and like,
you're so young. The fact that I had that resilience
at that age is something that I I'm just so
proud of myself for And yeah, it's just all surreal
to be here now. So that's something that I'm like happened,
but it made me better.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Well, imagine do you ever feel that being dropped from
the label to sixteen years old was probably one of
the best things I've ever happened.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
And dis guy's for sure that time, how I didn't
know that, Oh you're devastating of course, So yes, I
think it was a blessing in disguise, and it just
lit that fire under me even more and made me
want to prove these people wrong.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
So there, literally take your head and do so.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
I'm a grown man.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
It's great. Rolling into twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, which is insane.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Are you even thinking about what you're doing in twenty
twenty five? Are you just wanting to take a break.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
No, No, I'm gonna take a break after this and
be home for you know, two three weeks with my
cat and playing Fortnite and that's about it. And then
I'm gonna get back in the studio and finish my
next album, hopefully get it out soon.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Have fun. We're all gonna be watching you on stage
at the garden make You, and while you're singing it,
I'm gonna look out in the audience. I'm gonna see
a little girl out there looking at you think, oh God,
that's her.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Literally, thank you.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Beer, everyone at Jingle Hall, thank you.
