Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the Morning show.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Let's get into this.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
This h all around the room is what we're doing. Okay,
around the room. We'll start with Froggy. He's back in
the room. It is food news Thursday. We've got some
food news on the way. But until then, what do
you have going on in your mind today?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Frog?

Speaker 1 (00:19):
So, yesterday I was at the airport in Nashville and
getting on the plane was they were going to security.
Guy in front of me, the person at TSA says,
she was just nicely asking everybody like do you have
your phone out of your pocket? The guy looks at
her and goes, I don't have one of those. And
I'm like, So we got through security, we were waiting
on our bags come through. I said, hold on a second.
I heard you say you don't have a phone. He's like, nope.

(00:41):
I said, you don't have a cell phone at all.
He's like, no, I don't want one. I'll talk to
somebody when I get to a phone, and if I don't,
I'll talk to some when I get to the next phone.
That must be the most screen thing in the entire planet. Guy,
I'm my guess is he was in his fifties. Is
my guest? That would be my guest. Not listen, like
really really old guy, You're not really super young. But
I was like, I said, do you do this bother you?

(01:03):
He's like no, he goes. I used to have one.
It became a nuisance. I don't want one anymore. I
was like, Wow, good for him. I'm the first person
I've ever met that does not have a phone and
does not want one.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I was like, wow, I don't know how you What
does he do?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
What does he do? He has a great life.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Probably if he needs something, has to get old of
a body.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
I don't know what do we do in the old days?
A pay phone? Where's the quarner? They don't make those anymore? Hey, Nate,
what's up with you today?

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (01:31):
I gotta thank the person that invented gummies, not like
you know, the gummies that gets you high, but gummy
vitamins and gummy fiber pills. It is so pleasant to
do your vitamins in gummy form. Its just tasty. You know,
nobody likes swallowing pills, so why not you a tasty gummy?
Thank you to whoever decided to do that. I'm sorry,
I just had to take a minute to do this,

(01:53):
but please, if you don't like taking vitamins, consider gummy
form I bet it Mucil gummies.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
They're ex That orange flavor is so good.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
The gummies have totally retrained you. How do they reached
your vitamin and take and your menemus look forward to
taking your vitamin. Let's hear, let's hear whoever invented glycerin?
I guess is that what that is? Gelatin? For the
gelatin makers?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
What about you? Scarty? What's up?

Speaker 6 (02:21):
So mine has a visual component for the group chat.
Many years ago, I used to do a daily birthday
list on this station and someone and I stopped doing
them for years ago, but somebody approached me he said,
can you do a special birthday for me? So I
always say no, except for this one. Because Celeste Gardner

(02:41):
from Wayne, New Jersey is celebrating her one hundred and
eighth birthday.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Look look how beautiful she.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Is and her beautiful granddaughter, Jessica Rowe and the entire
family wanted to want to get this out there on
the air. Celeste listens to the show and that's kind
of cool. So I said, you know what, We're gonna
make this exception one hundred eight years on Monday, Celeste
Gardner from Raymond Jersey, Happy bird Birthday.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
That's cool. What a cool shout up? Hey, Danielle, what's
up with you?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
So we have the.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Best listeners in the world. So I recently had a
birthday and one of our listeners, his name is Raymond.
He makes candles, and he sent me this beautiful Disney
Princess candle that he made himself. It's gorgeous. I posted
it on my Instagram. He actually sells candles. I think
it's freestyle underscore no free underscore style candle co. But

(03:36):
he is a three time cancer survivor and two stem
cell transplants in his life and now he's making candles.
So shout out to Raymond for thinking of me and
my birthday. Thank you for listening. But we really do
have the most special listeners ever. They're always so kind
and thank you again, Raymond.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Excellent listener for Raymond Raymon.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
I love it. You know, today's rather rue. We've got
a lot of clapping going on.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Yeah, producer, Sam, what's up with you?

Speaker 7 (04:01):
I'm about to ruin that because I want to lodge
a complaint for the first time.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Oh boy, okay, all right, so one thing.

Speaker 7 (04:06):
I mean, listeners probably don't know this, but I collect
and edit the best of so the weekends when we're
on vacation, I have to create and make those puzzle pieces.
And you guys know I'm always fetching for more best ofs,
and yesterday you guys delivered. But you had to do
a good best of about feet.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
I hate feet.

Speaker 7 (04:21):
I was sitting in this room with my chones turned
all the way down, just trying not to cry because
that was my reflex. And today I realized I have
to edit it diligently in detail and get it up.
So you guys suck, But thanks for the best of you.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Well, yeah, we're talking about foot fetishes yesterday, and someone
actually had the nerve to text itselves like Elvis a
fetish If this is a topic show No, I think
feet are nasty, but I thought it. Thought it was
kind of interesting to know how people are into fetishes
and things.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
It got a rise.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
And by the way, stop assuming things out there in
the radio world. I know Daniel's talking about how great
our listeners are. Not all of them are all that great.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Most of them?

Speaker 5 (04:58):
How about most of them?

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Yes, I'm majority of absolutely. Gandhi, what's up with you today?

Speaker 8 (05:04):
Okay, So we've all been talking about this trip to
space that all of the women took, and I read
a quote from William Shatner that I thought was fascinating,
so I wanted to share it with you, guys. Elvis,
I'd already shared.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
It with you.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
I love it.

Speaker 8 (05:15):
But he said I thought that going because we know
he went into space years ago. Yeah, he said, I
had thought that going into space would be the ultimate
Catharsis of that connection I'd been looking for between all
living things, that being up there would be the next
beautiful step to understanding the harmony of the universe. In
the film Contact, when Jodie Foster's character goes to space
and looks out into the heavens, she lets out an
astonished whisper they should have sent a poet. I had

(05:38):
a different experience because I discovered that the beauty isn't
out there, it's down here with all of us. Leaving
that behind made my connection to our tiny planet even
more profound. And I thought that was beautiful because I'm
definitely one of those people that thinks I'll find something
more out there. But he went on to talk about
how it was actually incredibly depressing and it was one
of the strongest feelings of grief he ever had, thinking

(05:59):
that leaving Earth behind would beautiful, when in fact everything
is right here. So today, take a look around and
appreciate all the beautiful stuff that is here, right now,
around you, above you.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
It's pretty great.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Wow, William Shatner.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
You rarely hear him saying anything nice.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
On Priceline, and he's given me a break.

Speaker 8 (06:19):
He did sort of end it with this quote, My
trip to space was supposed to be a celebration. Instead
it felt like a funeral. So it wasn't all flower
But okay, that first part I just thought it was great.
It's beautiful, and you know, appreciate what you have here.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
There you go, William Shatner, in the words of a
famous friend of ours, I think I need to go
take a Shatner
