Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the Morning show.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Let's go around the room. What's on the minds of
people in the room. I want to start with you, Froggy.
You're in a room, you qualify what's going on.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
So as you listen. I mean a lot of us
worry about the aging process. Are we aging properly and whatnot?
I saw this really stupid Instagram post yesterday and I
posted and says having sex daily can make you look younger.
That's such bs. Nobody's having sex every day And if
you did, it wouldn't make you look younger. Wouldn't that
make it? Wouldn't you get tired after a while, wouldn't
that age you? I don't know.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
We'll never know. I'm never gonna know.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
I'm just asking if anybody has any if anybody has
any insight into this, if if it is it true?
If you do it every single day, doesn't make you
look younger? I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (00:43):
I bet it does because it's exercise. You're getting your
you know, your chemicals going and you're sweating a little bit,
and they say your face.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Who does it the most of all of us? Who
do you think does it the most, Danielle, Oh, you
think so.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
I actually think Scotty B does it the most because
he's in a brand new relationship.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
So I think, yeah, Wow, Scott embarrassed. Not embarrassing. I
think it's Josh.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
You think John, Yeah, But with Randos, well doesn't matter.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
That is true. Good for Josh. We don't know if
they're Randos. Don't say that, Josh, he.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
Has a rotation.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
He's fine.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
So what's up with you today?
Speaker 6 (01:27):
Okay, what exactly are the rules now for the Amish community.
I'm not I thought they weren't allowed to use telephones
electronic devices. You could always tell the Amish house because
there was no power running to it. But my mom
and dad lived in Amish country, and they called an
Amish store who answers the phone. The guy that works there,
his name is Atticus. So I'm like, Okay, this guy,
(01:49):
I didn't think he was allowed to do this. And
at the one of the stores, they can run credit cards.
Now I didn't think they were allowed to do any
of these things. I thought they couldn't. I thought that,
can somebody correct me?
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yes, Well, I'm not going to correct you, but what I
heard and this is what I heard is if it's
part of income, it's part of a business. They sometimes
understand they need to fold into the more. They need
to cross the lines into more of a public sphere,
and they can do a few things to you know,
be a part of that. Com makes sense because I
(02:22):
grew up thinking, Okay, they couldn't do any of these things.
So if that's the case, good for you.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Nata just googled it and it said Amish rules are
constantly evolving and debated within each individual community, so they
can be changed by elders and leaders of the group
depending on what's needed for them at the time.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Do you know my girlfriend ordered she wanted a gazebo
cover for her gazebo, like a really well made one.
She called the Amish community and they were going to
have somebody drive them up and build it for you.
You can have them build it for you. It's very expensive,
but it's really well done. It's good quality work.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
Did he take the horse and bugget here?
Speaker 2 (03:00):
So I don't think they do that, but at least
we know until they actually drive in the community. You know,
drive by shootings are non existent, right right? They just
takes so long to.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Get bye right.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
It's not a quick getaway.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
It's not.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Anyway.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
It's a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful world that come from. And yeah,
we all benefit, especially up here on the East coast,
upper East Coast.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
We benefit from the Amish.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
They contribute a lot, especially if you go to the
Oh yeah, absolutely, what's going on with you today, Danielle?
Speaker 7 (03:34):
All right?
Speaker 1 (03:35):
So I was just telling gandhi. You guys, remember when
I talked about light and fit by Dan and like
a while ago, how much I love the yogurt. So
I am so obsessed with the cherry yogurt. I don't
know what it is, but to me, it's their best one.
And I add like blackberries to it and blueberries to it.
And you know what else I do. I freeze it
(03:55):
for snacks. So I take like a piece of wax paper,
I put little dollups of it on the wax paper,
put it in the freezer, and then when you want
a little sweet snack healthier for you, I take it
out of the freezer and I eat them so delicious.
You can do it with any of the flavors, but
I'm telling you, the cherry one is amazing.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
I love it. Sofia and it sounds very healthful as well,
is very versatile.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
And is it Greek?
Speaker 2 (04:22):
This is a Greek I did my fried chicken in it?
Speaker 8 (04:27):
Okay, scary, which help with you today? So I was
invited to a Wednesday wedding. Now it's not attached to
a holiday. It's literally a midweek wedding, smack in the
middle of a work week. And so I don't know,
do I now have to give a Wednesday gift versus.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
A Saturday gift? Next? Seriously, is their wedding. It's a wedding.
It's their wedding. They're getting married. You celebrate that.
Speaker 8 (04:53):
Really, I'm just saying it's Wednesday, it's not Saturday night.
So you know they got a huge discount on the
catering hall.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
You're a jerk.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
I don't invite you.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Saying I'm okay, So you guys do come.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
You guys come from the world where your gift has
to be equal to them.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Out. They spent on your plate and dinner. We're scary.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Used to bring a blank check with him and depending
on how well the dinner was, he would write the
check out and put in the car.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
It is awful. I'm known for overgifting.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Okay, but on so, your gift should not be determined
by the party. Your gifts should be determined by how
much you like the people getting married.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
Right, additional, I love them both.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
Also, isn't there an argument that the less somebody spends
on a wedding maybe the more they would need money
from you.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Maybe there's that, Thank you, Gandhi. All right, thank you,
See there's logic there. And also, I would love a
Wednesday wedding. That means I can get home to my
dogs faster because they're not gonna They're not going to
party into the wee hours of the morning.
Speaker 9 (05:55):
I'm not going to skimp out on the gift. I'm
gonna give a Saturday night gift. Give a Wednesday night
gift would more from me. I'm like, yes, I'm gonna
bonushoes because I can go home. I don't have to
sit around for the chicken dance wherever you're doing it. Hey, Gandhi,
what's up with you today?
Speaker 4 (06:08):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (06:08):
I'm not asking you this elvious because I think you
know the answer. But I recently went down a little
rabbit hole and found out that if humans were no
longer to exist on the planet, there is one animal
that researchers belief would build the next civilization, and he
guesses what that animal is, an elepho an octopus. They
say the octopus could totally do it. Yes, they are
(06:31):
brilliant animals. They use tools, they have all kinds of
problems solving. They're just the most amazing genius creatures. And
they say that they absolutely believe octopus could do it if.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
They wanted to.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
So far, they don't seem to want to. But if
they did, it would octopus?
Speaker 4 (06:46):
I think that's amazing. I know, don't eat you know,
and they're so tasty as well.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
Oh man, so glad I stopped eating them.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
I love them. Hey, what's up? Their producer Sam. For
the record, they were my favorite foods.
Speaker 7 (07:00):
So this was a big sundific for me. So I
want to talk about a show I feel like we
haven't really talked about too much.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
It just wrapped up.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
It's season one finale this week. It's Everybody's Live with
John Mullaney. It was so good, it was so strange.
So it's categorized, I think as a talk show, but
it also meshes with his really dry, weird humor, so
there's an element of stand up comedy. It also kind
of flirts with the idea of being a variety show.
There's a musical guest and one thing I super love
(07:27):
is they take live callers throughout and that kind of
reminded me of here where I work. I thought it
was so awesome. So if you want something kind of
off beat, it's a little strange, but I kind of
it's like an inside joke you're in on the whole time.
It's Everybody's Life with John Mulaney. Wrapped its first season
this week and I miss it already, So go check
out something a little weird. It's kind of one of one.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Wow, I love this takes coming, but scary scary people. People,
they're crucifying you, scary.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
That's not your best work.
Speaker 8 (08:00):
I'm still going to get dressed up, driving hour out
of here and then come back and then be working
four and the five in the morning.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
Wait, what if you didn't go and you just gave
them a gift?
Speaker 4 (08:10):
No, because I want to go. I want to be there.
I'm just saying I'm the one. I'm telling you I
want you.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
They're listening to this uninvited.
Speaker 7 (08:19):
I'm the poorest person in this room, and that's an
absurd question, even for me. You are to give the
same gift
