Well, so what's the great news now two years after
all that flooding, Now two years.

Speaker 8 (02:50):
Later again and back it up a little bit, like
we flooded again on the anniversary again last year, but
not as bad, not nowhere as bad, only like and
then now I'm opening a restaurant in Woodstock, Vermont, a
second location of Oaks and Evylyn. So we're super excited.
Uh yeah, it's gonna be so much fun. And it's
just cool to bring the bring that kind of food

(03:12):
up to that area and it's a little closer to home,
so it's it's nice.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
Wow, now you have two restaurants that flood. This is great,
This is awesome. Yeah, no, I'm kidding.

Speaker 8 (03:21):

there you go, our first caller of the day, our
last first caller of the day of the week. As
we rolled into Friday, the three things we need to know, Gandhi,
Let's see what's going on in the world.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
I don't know, man, Like where you guys want to start?

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Man, start with the drama.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
The trauma is raging.

Speaker 9 (05:03):
If you missed it yesterday, I'm not sure where to
even begin, but we'll start with this. Elon Musk says
President Trump is in the Jeffrey Epstein files, and that's
the real reason that they haven't been made public. It
comes as the two have engaged in a war of
words over Trump's big Beautiful Bill. Musk posted quote time
to drop the really big bomb before saying Trump is
in the files. We know that Epstein was a convicted

(05:25):
sex offender. He died in twenty nineteen by suicide. Allegedly earlier,
Trump said he asked Musk to leave his administration, while
Elon claims that that Trump would not have won the
election without him. The manhunt is growing for a father
accused of kidnapping and murdering his three young daughters in
Washington State. Wow police are looking for as much help

(05:47):
as they could possibly get. New evidence has led authorities
to believe Travis Decker might be near the Pacific Crest
Trail in the Cascade Range. Decker has military training and
could survive on his own as well as hide from searchers.
Court documents show his three girls were bound with zip.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Ties and suffocated.

Speaker 9 (06:04):
He faces three counts of first degree aggravated murder and kidnapping,
and finally, scary you might want to pay attention. Game
Stop says it's looking into reports that new Nintendo switched
to consoles were actually sold damaged on launch day. That
new console hit shelves Thursday, and reports came in pretty
immediately that some screens had been damaged when the receipts

(06:24):
were stapled directly onto the boxes. One user said the
company eventually made things right by finding other consoles in
the area to replace the damaged ones, But you might
want to be.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
Careful and double check that. And those are your three things.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
Let's get it on you guys, ready for your Friday. Yeah,
let's go.

Speaker 6 (06:42):
We're not normal, Elister Ran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 10 (06:52):
You're here to keep on going, keep the world.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
Moving, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
Yep, that's what we do. We got to keep the
world moving here on donut Day. We'll get into that
in a minute. So I'm just watching the news upstairs.
Fox five, Good Day in New York. It's always on
in the kitchen. Two out of five Americans are bad
at mornings. Okay, okay. Without thinking it through, I mean, Danielle,

(07:18):
are you bad at mornings? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (07:19):
You know, I think I'm good at mornings?

Speaker 6 (07:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (07:21):
What about you? Gonde bad or good?

Speaker 4 (07:23):
I think I'm good, You're good?

Speaker 5 (07:24):
What about you? Scary? I think I'm great at mornings.

Speaker 8 (07:27):
I love.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Oh wow, Froggy, how about you with mornings? Oh I
love being I love being up early. They bother me
in Allisland. Okay, you're good at mornings. Well this makes
sense because we're all in here doing a morning show, right.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
It'd be really sad if we sucked at it.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
Yeah, well, I know, but there are mornings, you know,
that are more difficult than others. We do agree on that, right, Yeah. So,
the survey says thirty eight percent of Americans admit they're
bad at mornings. The average person gets out of bed
later than they planned eight times per month. Ten percent
of people, it's more like twenty times per month. Sleeping
in too late can make morning is even harder because

(08:01):
you get into that rush, that panic as you know. Yeah,
they're saying forty three percent say they use an alarm
to wake up in the morning, with the average time
of the first alarm at six thirty three AM. So
this morning I went into a panic. I don't know
if this ever happens to you. I use my iPhone
as my alarm. I saw it was set last night.
I haven't set, you know, every day to come on

(08:23):
at a certain time, right, I don't do you do
the same thing. Yes, yeah, this morning my eyes opened
at the time I'm supposed to wake up, and the
alarm wasn't going off, and I'm like, what's going on?
And I looked in there and it was off. Oh
I know for a fact it was on last night.
So something tripped my alarm. Does that ever happen to
you as well?

Speaker 9 (08:43):
I feel like I'm usually the one that does it. Yeah,
but it has definitely happened where my everyday alarm is
somehow turned off.

Speaker 10 (08:50):
Or I sleep through it, it goes off. I hit
it and I'm like, that's the word.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Did it go off?

Speaker 10 (08:54):
And it did, but I just didn't even realize. And
I just hit it because I it's on my watch.
I sleep with my watch on and it vibrates and
wakes me up, okay, and then I hit I'm constantly
just hitting it.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Well, no, but it never turns off on its own,
That's what I meant. It doesn't. Okay, good. Well, so
it freaked me out a little bit bit. This morning.
I'm thinking, well, is this gonna happen again? It's happened before,
as I recall, But how do you deal with people
who are bad at mornings. Avoid I mean avoid Okay, well,
what if you're sleeping next to one.

Speaker 9 (09:23):
Yeah, Brandon is horrible with mornings. He just like wakes
up angry. I'm like, why you're not.

Speaker 11 (09:28):
You just woke up.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
You should be happy that you're awake.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
A lot of people do wake up angry because it's
just I.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Don't do naps well.

Speaker 10 (09:35):
Like if I nap too long, I feel like a
mac truck ran me over and or an elephant like
trampled over me, and I just am so out of it, Like,
do not talk to me for like the first half
an hour after a nap if it's you know, if
it's a long one.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
But people are checking in, I'm god awful at mornings,
it says someone in Ericut, nine seventy three. This person, holiliady,
I'm totally bad at morning. So I get up at
four am. Oh God, sorry about that? Well, so do
we sometimes? So Yeah, here's that I would.

Speaker 9 (10:04):
I'm kind of to Danielle's point, I'm really terrible at
being woken up. If somebody wakes me up, I will
verbally assault you, potentially physically assault you.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
Just let me sleep.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
Yeah, it's rad Okay, what up.

Speaker 12 (10:16):
Scotty B my teenage daughter in high school cannot wake up.
She has six alarms set. The last one is and
it goes off for twenty minutes. So what I do
every morning is at six point forty I set off
the smoke alarms and co two detectors from my phone.
And that's what That's the only thing that wakes her up.

Speaker 11 (10:34):
That's amazing.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
Yeah, this is insanity.

Speaker 12 (10:36):
It's crazy.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
But thankfully that wakes her up. Well, I know, but
thank god she wakes up at that if if God forbid,
it was a real alarm. Yeah, that's about it.

Speaker 12 (10:45):
I've got video of the for thirty minutes that she
doesn't wake up.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
It's insane, all right. Well, okay, so if you're good
at mornings, thank god you're here. If you're bad at mornings,
I guess that's why we have a job, because there
are people who are bad at mornings. They need to
hear this nonsense. Yeah, tomfoolery, this poppy cock. Anyway, let's
get on with the Poppycock show. Who are you doing
your horsecopes with?

Speaker 11 (11:08):
Today producer Sam We had a special crest.

Speaker 13 (11:10):
It is Adriana's thirty ninth birthday and she's a huge
Disney fan.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
So she asked for hour Danielle, Oh.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Thank you having.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
Let's go all right?

Speaker 10 (11:18):
So it's interesting who's celebrating today Jason Isaacs from White Lotus,
Paul Giamatti.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
And Carol Baskin. You remember from Tiger King?

Speaker 5 (11:25):
Oh, how are you doing? Why does she call us
little kittens?

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Little?

Speaker 7 (11:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (11:31):
Was it little kittens?

Speaker 1 (11:32):
He cat?

Speaker 5 (11:34):
Cool cats? Cool cat?

Speaker 10 (11:36):

Speaker 5 (13:41):
Well, let's get that done. Let's get that done. Also,
it's new music Friday. We just gave you the new
Mariah Carey type of dangerous. I want to play that again.
We have new Sabrina Carpenter. We have new Dualipa. I mean,
we got a lot of stuff with Alipa. Oh God,
I get them, you know, I get them all mixed
Rita Aura because I love Rita Auray and new Rita

(14:02):
Ora music Today too on New Music Friday. God what else?

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (14:06):
People always ask us like, what do you talk about
while the songs are on? Well, welcome, welcome to bougie theater. Okay,
we're talking about coffee beans. So Nate walks in and says, oh,
sniff my bag of beans, and then Daniel says I will.

(14:28):
He says, yes, Daniel, sniff, sniff this bean. He opens
up his coffee bean bag and Daniel takes a wolf
and a whiff, and then Daniel goes ooh, I smell
subtle tastes of something I can't put my finger. I'm like,
what is going on with you? People?

Speaker 6 (14:43):
Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (14:44):
It was a totally boogie.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
It was ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (14:46):
Well, okay, so what coffee bean are you talking about?

Speaker 16 (14:48):
What?

Speaker 5 (14:49):
What bean are you thrusting up people's noses?

Speaker 17 (14:51):
Credit to Lord Scary who yesterday he sprung for a
bag of blue bottled coffee. This particular blend is three
hours africas and the tasting notes are golden raisin, whiny blueberry,
and lemon.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Suest sounds like something that sounds like something on the
cereal aisle. It does.

Speaker 16 (15:10):
Usually I go for the single origin coffee, but I
will say, blue Bottle is definitely high, high ranking.

Speaker 5 (15:17):
Yeah, that's right. You're listening to bougie theater.

Speaker 17 (15:20):
Fruitiness, gentle, citric, brightness, and depth all in this Okay,
three africas you just.

Speaker 5 (15:27):
Described me do that again. The three things are describing.

Speaker 17 (15:30):
Fruitiness, gentile, citric brightness, and yes, where.

Speaker 5 (15:36):
Three africas are there in that bag? Well, here's the thing.

Speaker 17 (15:40):
Two are from Ethiopia and once from Central Africa.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
Yeah, okay, okay, So I use this stump Town coffee,
which I happen to love. Here are my beans. This
is a national coffee. It was born and raised in
I think Portland, Oregon. Right, So I this is Hollor Mountain.
But they also have hair Bender, which is always a
great way to wake up. So let me read this one. Uh.
This is one of their signature blends, a versatile and

(16:08):
full bodied blend. Holler Mountain doses out a bright burst
of citrus that pairs perfectly with creamy notes of caramel
and hazel nut.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
What kind of coffee is that?

Speaker 5 (16:19):
This is from stump Town. It's called Holler Mountain. Okay,
creamy and caramel. But they also have hair Bender, and
they have another couple of them. I love them.

Speaker 16 (16:27):
I feel like coffee is permissible bougie though, because people,
well a lot of people like who drink their coffee black.
They want to taste it, and I don't think it's
all that expensive of a price. Voice in the grand
scheme of spending money, If you're gonna gonna splurge, splurge
on a good bean, who doesn't want a better cut
of coffee? Seriously, well, seriously exactly? Okay, I get that

(16:50):
these bee, but what about this one? Here's another one
I have in my cupboard. This one describes it is
described as a subtle coffee without a lot of complexity,
with a light sweetness and a slightly acidic taste.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
Which coffee do you think that is? That would be
your Folger's crystals? So yeah, exactly, wake it up. It's
the best part of waking up. Bolger's crystals. Just a
little little teaspood in your hot water. You're ready to go.
You know.

Speaker 17 (17:18):
They call this what they write this, They call this
romance copy, a real romance.

Speaker 11 (17:24):
Very romantic.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Read it romantically.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
It's in a sexy bag. Look at this bag. Look
at that bag.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
I do like that blue.

Speaker 5 (17:30):
I must say that you guys, have lost your mind?
Is like, I love.

Speaker 10 (17:36):
That We're about to paint my my basement. We're redoing
the basement and this is the color I think that
we want to.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
Do the walls. What coffee brand is that with coffee bottle?

Speaker 6 (17:48):
Call?

Speaker 5 (17:48):
So you're doing so you're you're painting. You're were painting
our babies nursery blue bottle bag. All right, well, there
you go. It's our bougie talk of the day.

Speaker 9 (18:01):
I love that this moves you all so much. Yeah,
that's important. Passion is important.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
It is Oh, I'd like laughing at them.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Okay, you'd be nice.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
All right, let's get into our Danielle repet Danielle. What's
going on this morning?

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Start with gorilla poop? Shall we need to go to Johnson?

Speaker 10 (18:18):
To go to Johnson confessed during a detector test conducted
by Vanity Fair that she used the poopsenders dot com service.
She explained that the story goes back a long time ago.
Her best friend got her heart broken, and so she
sent a gallon of gorilla poop to the person's house.
Poopsenders dot com, by the way, offers to deliver any
size of cow, elephant, or gorilla poop to anyone in

(18:39):
the world. Three pound megapack costs forty nine dollars and
you will be anonymous unless you take a lie detector test.

Speaker 5 (18:48):
Nick, Wait a second, hold on. So, speaking of coffee,
beans and poop, when we were in Bali, we were
we were drinking coffee that came from beans that had
been eaten and digested by an animal.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
Yeah, yeah, poop, and then they washed him.

Speaker 17 (19:01):
I hope kobe luak. Isn't that what it's called. Yeah,
it's a kope luak.

Speaker 5 (19:05):
Yeah. So we sat there, we sat there. It just
got really really high on this this poop coffee. Basically,
all right, anyway back to you, okay.

Speaker 10 (19:15):
Nick Jonas has been cast as Paul stan Lee in
the Kiss biopic Shout It Out Loud. Deadline is reporting
that he will do his own singing, but he will
need vocal training to replicate Stanley's voice. This weekend's headlining
acts at the World Pride Music Festival in Washington, DC
our Jennifer Lopez. That will be tonight and then tomorrow
Choy Savon, who celebrated his thirtieth birthday This week. Tom

(19:38):
Cruise set a Guinness World record. He performed sixteen, burning
parachute jumps for Mission Impossible, the final Reckoning. Now, you
guys know he loves doing his own stunts. The guy's nuts.
In the film's climactic scene, he leapt from a helicopter
at seventy five hundred feet, igniting a fuel soaked parachute
and then deploying a shoot after the main one disintegrated.

(20:03):
What the you know what, It's insane, But he's set
in records, so that's pretty cool. So it was day
seventeen in the Diddy trial and the judge in the
trial threatened to have Diddy removed from the courtroom for
unacceptable facial expressions and attempts to influence the jury. The
judge told the defense team, your client was looking at

(20:24):
jurors and nodding vigorously. This cannot continue, or I will
take measures, including getting your client out.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
Of the courtroom. So yeah, that's going on.

Speaker 10 (20:34):
So I don't know if you guys ever saw Kiss
of the Spider Woman on Broadway. I know I saw
Cheeta Rivera in it. She was brilliant.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
While it is.

Speaker 10 (20:41):
Coming to the big screen and Jennifer Lopez is the
lead in this movie. It is an incredible story. It's
old Hollywood glamour and music and you know the the
I don't know if you saw the trailer. The trailer
actually looks pretty good, so we'll see what happens. But
j Lo is the star of this one.

Yeah, our buddy Rob Shooter, naughty but nice Rob. He'll
be on with us in less than an hour talking
about the day trial and what shocking strategy the prosecutors
have showing the actual sex tapes yikes to the jury.
They're saying, some of these things are more more dramatically
awful than the video of him dragging Cassie down the hallway.

(22:57):
How could it be worse than that? Kes my gosh,
Haley Beaver stuff, prenup stuff with Justin. We're gonna hear
what he has to say about that and anyway, on
the way Tony Award predictions for you, Danielle. You guys
can argue about that stuff, okay. Also, our friend Julia Michaels,

Speaker 3 (23:48):

Speaker 5 (23:49):
There you are. So we received your text and we
had to call you and ask you what this is
all about. Nancy wants to know the name of that
company you can contact that will send poop to people.
So obviously there's someone in your world that needs a
box of poop? So what's this all about? Nancy? Can
can you elaborate?

Speaker 11 (24:10):
Yes?

Speaker 18 (24:11):
There is two people in my life right now that
deserves a box of poop.

Speaker 7 (24:17):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Two people, Okay, yeah, go ahead.

Speaker 6 (24:21):
Two people.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 18 (24:22):
You know, we moved into an area that we thought
was gonna be the best for us, and it turned
out not so great. These two people made our lives miserable.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
So I figured, why not send them a box of pool?

Speaker 9 (24:33):
Well, are you going to sign it that is from you?
Are you gonna leave it anonymous?

Speaker 18 (24:38):
Leave it anonymous?

Speaker 7 (24:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (24:39):
Okay, okay, leave it anymous.

Speaker 18 (24:42):
I mean they probably figure out of me, but I
don't care.

Speaker 6 (24:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Well, so obviously they've done enough to damage your world
that they would go, Okay, I know who sent.

Speaker 18 (24:51):
This me and my family, and you know, you know,
I'm known as the crazy person in the neighborhood, and
you know my family members not as a crazy person now,
so I figure I might well just give in to
that title.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
A wow. I mean, I don't know why you'd be
known as the crazy person as you send poop to people. Yeah,
I tell you what, do we have the name of
the company that we've talked about. Here comes Daniel to
the rescue.

Speaker 10 (25:21):
It's poopsenders dot Com. Yeah, and it's really good because
you can get cow, elephant.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
Or gorilla poop.

Speaker 10 (25:29):

for fifty bucks about forty yeah.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
Wow, oh that's it is worth the price.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
There you go.

Speaker 18 (25:40):
This is like the fact to prevenge.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
Okay again, the name of it is poopsenders dot com,
but poopsinders dot Com. Don't get those confused with the
bags of expensive coffee beans that we have coming in.

Speaker 18 (25:53):
And I think the gorilla one would be perfect.

Speaker 5 (25:55):
Okay, there you go, all right, I can see the
steam coming out of yours. Well, there you go. Congratulations Nancy,
poop cenders dot Com. We're gross.

Speaker 10 (26:05):

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Oh my god, it's half off poop half off? All right? Good.
Yesterday Gandhi brought us a great contest. It's one of
our favorites and it went very well. We had a
good contestant. Thank you you got. Yesterday's contest was finished,
the commercial finished the commercial. Yes, today, she's come up
with another one. Yes, because we played a song yesterday
and we were like, oh my god, we haven't heard

(27:11):
this song in so long. It's one of those songs
we totally forgot existed. I don't remember the name of
the song. What was it?

Speaker 4 (27:18):
It was Paris by the Chainsmokers exactly.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
So what is your contest today? This is brilliant.

Speaker 9 (27:22):
So when we were playing the game, a listener actually
texted in and said, hey, you should make a game
of songs that we've forgotten.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
So I did.

Speaker 9 (27:31):
So these are really big hits that you probably haven't
heard in a while, and if you have, just play
long and.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
It's our fault because we haven't been playing them. So
we take responsibility. Songs you may go, oh my god,
I forgot that song existed. Nice songs that we've totally
forgot about. This is a tricky one. So you really
need to know your music. Is there an era or
is it just all over the board.

Speaker 9 (27:53):
Well, I mean they have to be old enough that
we would have forgotten. So it's not going to be
something from last year or the year before. But it's
all within the two thousands.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
Okay call me now. Eight hundred two four to two
zero one hundred songs we forgot.

Speaker 20 (28:07):
Waking up in the morning, taking him on so many things.

Speaker 6 (28:13):
Telvis Duran in the Morning.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Show, never forget. Join the Tunnel to Towers Foundation on
its mission to do good in honor of America's heroes,
donate eleven dollars a month at T two t dot org.
That's t the number two t dot org. You have
gone on the right day. It is not well, not
only is it National donort Day, but it's also a
new music Friday. We gave you the new Mariah Carey song,

(28:37):
which is incredible. I'm gonna play it for you again. Also,
Ed Sharon had a song at Sapphire Actually that came
out I think yesterday with a new video unbelievable, unbelievable
sound from Ed Sharon. That's gonna be played for you
in a little bit but right now, let me play
you the new Sabrina Carpenter. It's called Manchild. What year
is this? Listen? There you go, Wow, it's a fader.

(29:02):
We love a Fader, brand new from Sabrina Carpenter. That
is men Child. I love it.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Isn't that great?

Speaker 6 (29:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (29:07):
What do you think?

Speaker 2 (29:08):
What do you think?

Speaker 5 (29:08):
Gandhi?

Speaker 4 (29:09):
It made me dance a little.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Danielle.

Speaker 10 (29:12):
Yeah, we love it and we just love her. She's
just such a sweet person. She's wonderful.

Speaker 5 (29:17):
Well, you know, we got to get her in here.
I have her. I have her phone number somewhere in
my phone, but it's I always put it under names.
You know what I'm saying that it's not her name.
So I got to figure this out. She is doing
like a top secret concert somewhere upstate New York, somewhere
I don't know.

Speaker 17 (29:35):
Yeah, there's there's details. If you go to Z one
hundreds Instagram Z one hundred New York, there's details where
you can register and it's it's so top secret. I
know nothing about it except that it Okay, Okay, there
you go.

Speaker 5 (29:48):
Sabrina Carpenter on New Music Friday, It's now time to
play songs. We forgot set this up. Gandhi.

Speaker 9 (29:55):
Okay, so yesterday we played Paris by Chainsmokers, and everybody
in the room was kind of like, damn, we forgot
about that song and would.

Speaker 5 (30:00):
Have totally forgot about it.

Speaker 9 (30:01):
Yeah, so I thought there are a bunch of other
songs that I'm sure were big hits at the time
that we just haven't heard in a while.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
So made a game of that.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
All these were these.

Speaker 5 (30:12):
Yeah, you really got to know your music, because if
we forgot the song there, we probably forgot the name
of the song. I don't know. Let's go to Christy,
who is an educator, a teacher, a high school special
ed teacher. Ready to play. Christy, do you know your music?

Speaker 1 (30:28):
I know it pretty well. I'm hoping Gandhi's too great.
Pritty's tough with these actually is.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
To do it.

Speaker 9 (30:35):
All you need is the name of the song. We
won't do the artist.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
And Christy, you listen to us Here in New York
comes the one hundred.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Right all the time. This year has been a little
bit tough.

Speaker 8 (30:46):
I just had a baby girl, so I drive about
an hour to work each morning, and uh, thank you guys.

Speaker 5 (30:52):
Well, a lot of these songs they've been out for
a while, so I'm assuming you've been listening for years
and we've played each and every one of these. I
do believe. All right, here we go song songs. Oh God,
this is gonna be a tough one. Songs we forgot.

Speaker 15 (31:03):
Number one came around.

Speaker 13 (31:07):
Wow, Oh gosh, it's not boyfriend, I'm making this up.

Speaker 8 (31:16):
I know what it is.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
Do you know who it is?

Speaker 10 (31:21):
Oh gosh, that is.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
All right?

Speaker 8 (31:30):
Oh, I know who it is.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
It isn't it's jaw Rule, Jo jaw Rule.

Speaker 21 (31:37):
What's the name of it?

Speaker 5 (31:41):
Okay, we forgot it. It's Ain't it funny by j
Loo and jaw Rule? When she used to play that.
We played that so much and then it just disappeared.
This is gonna be a tough game. Let's see how
you do with this song. As we forgot. Here is

(32:01):
a song, lies on us, Lies on us.

Speaker 7 (32:10):
Club.

Speaker 13 (32:13):
I know this song, you do, We all do, but
we don't know it.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
It is is Britney.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
I'm good at the artist.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
I'm getting the artist.

Speaker 9 (32:23):
Gandhi you are, look at you?

Speaker 5 (32:29):
Okay ready it's Britney's Fears and will I Am. It
definitely sounds like will I Am and scream and show
stream and.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Shout let me out.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
Saying, will.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
There you go?

Speaker 5 (32:50):
If you would have said brittany, bitch, we would have
taken that as the answer. I'm sorry, it's okay, but
you know the good the good thing about this. You're
kind of a sacrificial lamb a little bit because we
don't think you're gonna get a lot of these. None
of us would. But it's great to hear these songs again.
Here is songs we forgot. Number three, who was all right,

(33:13):
remake tell you my angel, you're my doll? There you go,

Speaker 9 (33:57):
There was a time that song was on every station.
You try to get away from it, and it was
still there, yeah everywhere.

Speaker 7 (34:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
I think some of these, you know, I think some
of these we just kind of fried them up so much.
No one wanted to ever hear them again. Maybe we're
kind of famous for that. All right, Okay, you're doing okay, Christy,
better than I thought you would.

Speaker 8 (34:14):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
Here is songs we've forgotten.

a solo artist now.

Speaker 3 (34:53):

Speaker 10 (34:53):

and it's called That's hilarious. How did you come up
with these? Godi? I mean, how did you come up

(36:25):
with songs that we don't remember?

Speaker 9 (36:27):
I just went and looked at some of the biggest
hits from the early two thousands and then the twenty tens,
and I've tried to find songs I thought we played here,
that's it.

Speaker 5 (36:37):
Wow, Okay, here we go. That was okay? Here, I

Speaker 5 (38:17):
I don't know. I don't know. There's I like bum
bum Bump, I like Carmen like, oh my gosh. We
like them all and we forgot them. What songs that
we're playing today are we gonna forget pretty soon? Hmmm,
we'll come up with another list. Usually have a contest
called game songs we play now that we're going to
forget soon. Okay, anyway, you did really well. How many

(38:39):
did Christy get?

Speaker 17 (38:40):
She, by the skin of her teeth got the majority.
She got six out of ten. So we're gonna give

contestant here. You did a great job.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
Good job, Christy, you.

Speaker 5 (39:07):
Look at school today. Thanks for listening to us. We
appreciate it. Hold on one second, now, do we play
bump bum bump or is that you know, is that
something we should not play? Or oh well.

Speaker 11 (39:19):
You're sending this one out to all the ladies all
over the world.

Speaker 5 (39:21):
Oh my god, I feel hard got okay, I gotta
be honest, I feel very dirty playing the song. This
is someone sent a text in and says, uh, this
is so problematic. I love it, but you know what
makes it worse? Not only b two K bump bump bump,
It's got Diddy all over it. It's written by R. Kelly.

Speaker 11 (39:42):
Tell me.

Speaker 9 (39:42):
The music video was produced by Harvey Weinstein.

Speaker 5 (39:48):
So that's that's your new game. The new game should
be songs we can't play anymore, and we really shouldn't.
We just played it. Oh lord. Yeah. The first thing
Froggy said was this is making me feel very dirty.
I need to take a shit.

Speaker 15 (40:00):
I heard Diddy. I'm like, oh god, it's weird. How
it changes everything.

Speaker 10 (40:05):
I know when you hear the lyrics that he says,
you're like, I throw up in my mouth a little bit, Like.

Speaker 9 (40:09):
We see, we all forgot that he was even on it.
I think that's what happened here.

Speaker 5 (40:12):
Well, but he reminds us in the middle of the song,
is God, did he all right? For those who are offended,
I'm sorry, I don't know. I don't know what to say.
We feel dirty, We apologize. Yeah, we're not trying to
groom anyone with music. We're just trying to have a show. Okay,
moving along. It's a conversation you can have with your friends. Today.

(40:34):
It was a little weird, but it's over into the
three things we need to know from Gandhi. Your phone
taps on the way Gandhi, what's going on?

Speaker 1 (40:39):
All right?

Speaker 4 (40:40):
The gloves are off?

Speaker 9 (40:40):
And the drama that many are calling the real housewives
of the GOP. President Trump and Elon Musk s meant
most of Thursday engaged in a war of words that
started with Musk's criticism of Trump's so called Big Beautiful
Bill earlier this year. This week, things have now escalated
to the point where the world's richest man posted on
x that Trump could not have won the election without him.
He also agreed with the idea of impeaching Trump and

(41:01):
replacing him with Jade. Vance accused the President of being
mentioned in the Jeffrey Epstein files and threatened to have
SpaceX decommission its Dragon spacecraft immediately. The Dragon is the
only US spacecraft being used to transport crew to and
from the International Space Station. Meanwhile, Trump has now threatened
to cut Musk's government contracts. One of the ten inmates

(41:22):
who escaped from a New Orleans jail nearly three weeks
ago is declaring his innocence on Instagram. The image posted
yesterday appears to show thirty two year old Antoine Massey
standing in a parking lot above the caption I'm innocent.
The US Marshall's Office says the post is under review
by several law enforcement agencies. Massey is one of the
inmates who escaped May sixteenth from the Justice Center in

(41:42):
New Orleans. Eight of the ten inmates have been captured,
Massey and the twenty seven year old Derrick Groves are
still on the run, and finally, Disneyland in Anaheim, California,
is dealing with ride malfunctions. Several guests were evacuated after
a car derailed on one of the rides at Tomorrowland
this week. The incident cruise to shut down the Utopia ride.

(42:03):
No injurres injuries. I'm sorry, we're reported and those are
your three things.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Hey, I'm at Sharon.

Speaker 11 (42:09):
Hey, what's up with Sweni?

Speaker 2 (42:10):
What's good? As metro booman?

Speaker 4 (42:12):
Dan?

Speaker 5 (42:13):
Elvis Duran in the morning.

Speaker 14 (42:14):
Shout it, don't answer the phone, Elvis Duran, The Elvis
Duran phone tap.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
I'm scary.

Speaker 5 (42:26):
What's it all about?

Speaker 23 (42:26):
So a few weeks ago, Haley had wanted to play
a phone tap on her mom and got in touch
with us. She was finishing up her finals and had
wanted to phone tap her mom about, you know, saying
that you know, she's less than a role model students,
she hasn't really quite been there all semester. So I'm
going to call her mom, pretending to have dialed her
by mistake, and listen to what happens.

Speaker 5 (42:44):
See what happened to the scariest phone tap?

Speaker 15 (42:46):
Hello?

Speaker 5 (42:47):
Can I speak to Haley?

Speaker 3 (42:49):
Haley's not here? Actually, can I take a message?

Speaker 14 (42:52):
Though?

Speaker 5 (42:53):
Just can tell her that I got the uh I
got her delivery for her?

Speaker 3 (42:56):
So I'm sorry, why are you whispering?

Speaker 5 (42:58):
I can't.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
I can barely even hear you, my dogs, but looked
as quiet.

Speaker 5 (43:01):
I got the delivery and twenty dollars a pill. Okay,
twenty dollars a pill?

Speaker 8 (43:06):
What are you talking about, Maydia?

Speaker 5 (43:08):
I should be dealing with her on this.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
No, twenty dollars a pill? What the hell are you
talking about?

Speaker 8 (43:13):
What pill?

Speaker 5 (43:13):
She ordered some adderall so she could cramp for her finals, So.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
I'm not following you. You've got what are you talking about?

Speaker 16 (43:19):
Apparently she got troubles staying awake and she's got to
learn a lot and a little bit of time here,
so uh.

Speaker 5 (43:24):
This is going to boost up her grade.

Speaker 3 (43:26):
Add all, it's like part of the.

Speaker 5 (43:27):
All family, you know, Thailand All propofol Adderall. Then, Oh, I've.

Speaker 3 (43:31):
Got an All family too, and it's called I'm All
Gonna beat Draft. You ever heard of that family?

Speaker 5 (43:35):
This is your official study buddy, keeps you up at night,
makes you study obody.

Speaker 3 (43:39):
My sister is a study buddy. You want to see that?
Why don't you come over and drop it off and
I'll put it through your face. Do you want to
do that? Yeah? Winsor rotten play didn't go to school?

Speaker 5 (43:49):
What am I supposed to do with this order? Why
do you do that?

Speaker 3 (43:53):
Here are your bag that it came in and take
to tell your slap up?

Speaker 5 (44:00):
This is college crack. You want you to do it
to have high grades?

Speaker 8 (44:02):
Huh.

Speaker 5 (44:02):
It's like drinking seven doctor peppers, except it's just in one.

Speaker 23 (44:09):
Kelly.

Speaker 5 (44:11):
Yes, she's.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
Oh my god, I'm crazy. Oh my god, Oh my god.

Speaker 10 (44:16):
She's cleaning right now.

Speaker 16 (44:17):
Okay, don't answer it, and I'm gonna dial her back
real quick and just say you missed the call or something.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
Okay, okay, hold on, hello, Hello, call me. I just
missed your call right now. I'm at school.

Speaker 15 (44:31):
What do you What do you mean?

Speaker 8 (44:32):
Where am I?

Speaker 7 (44:33):
So?

Speaker 3 (44:33):
I'm gonna just called me telling me that you are
looking for pills because you're very stressed out because you
haven't slept and you've got finals that I was twenty
dollars a piece. You aren't called daddy right now? I
will call daddy. What do you think daddy's gonna You
gonna call daddy. You're gonna come clean right now. I'm
gonna count to three and you're gonna come clean.

Speaker 8 (44:51):
Do you understand me?

Speaker 3 (44:52):
Okay, I gotta call you.

Speaker 10 (44:55):
Press on me.

Speaker 13 (44:55):

Speaker 3 (44:56):

Barley charting all night with your girlfriends stown the campus.

Speaker 8 (45:13):
On my door.

Speaker 5 (45:14):
Hold on, hey, I got your Addmirle. I think I
dialed the wrong number earlier and it spoke to somebody

Speaker 3 (45:21):

Speaker 9 (45:22):
I gotta go.

Speaker 3 (45:22):
I can't talk to you right now. I have to
call you back the pone right now. I'm not.

Speaker 8 (45:29):
Right now.

Speaker 5 (45:29):
Okay, let's talk to me.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Well, that's where you go.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
Hello, you get the her room right now. If I'm
sending the police.

Speaker 5 (45:37):
She's got a past class. She feels the need, she
feels the need for speed.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
Calling them right now. Listen to me. Stud's a bit.

Speaker 5 (45:45):
If you need prozac, I got some of that for you,
because you need to calm down. Okay, I'll get out
of a room. Okay, but first, I just got to
let you know that you've been phone tapped.

Speaker 3 (45:55):

Speaker 11 (45:56):

Speaker 5 (45:57):

Speaker 4 (47:10):
Yeah, can't lie when you smoke a lot of putt?

Speaker 8 (47:25):

Speaker 5 (47:27):
Robeveral of us? There you go, the votes in majority

much easier in life if I was, Oh no, you
don't know that it would be. I get way more.

Speaker 17 (47:40):
I get way more guys sliding into my dms than
girls wayms.

Speaker 5 (47:44):
You're saying it would be easier for you to be
a slut if you're a guest. Absolutely, I would be
a great man slut. Okay, well, there you go, slut.
Speaking of man sluts. Welcome, Rob Sneery. What a song?

(48:09):
Every time I enter a room that place? There you go,
Rob shooters. Here, what a festive Friday. You know we
have new music Friday going on. Robbie, I'm playing new Mariah.
Did you hear the new Mariah Carey song?

Speaker 22 (48:23):
Fifty times? I'm obsessed? It's like old school Mariah. And
why is she back on a car in the video?

Speaker 5 (48:28):
She loves the car.

Speaker 22 (48:30):
She's on a motor car in every video Mariah said
that motor car. Well, yeah, she likes it.

Speaker 5 (48:35):
In the boot they say, we have have you heard
the new ed Shearon song? That came out yesterday. We're
playing that today. Great song, great song, great song.

Speaker 22 (48:46):
I love you when these songs come out and you
remember them and they've got tunes to them and you
can hum them all day.

Speaker 5 (48:53):
I love that. Now we've got things to cover with,
not even nice rob. Let's start with Diddy, you know,
just right downtown? Did he on trial? Every day more
drama comes out? What are you looking at? Yeah?

Speaker 22 (49:04):
So I was down there a couple of days ago
at the trial and talking to people and seeing what's
going on. And what's interesting to me is for the
last two weeks we've been hearing about these freak off
sessions and tapes, but we've never seen them. The jury
hasn't seen them. And so I asked the lawyer what's
going on, and they explained to me that's going to
be the star witness at the end of the trial.

(49:26):
They're saving it to the end. So they want this
jury to go into deliberations with these images scored into
their mind, and so they're going to save that till
the end of the trial. And then the big question too,
is did he going to take the stand? My insiders
say that they wouldn't be at all surprise. This is

(49:47):
somebody who believes in themselves for twenty thirty years, has
been able to talk their way out of pretty much
anything they want. And so did he might take the stand.

Speaker 10 (49:57):
Do they still say they're going to be done earl year,
because I know they said they were ahead of schedules.

Speaker 22 (50:01):
Yeah, they're really flying through this, and so I think
they said eight weeks at first, it looks like it's
probably going to be six nine. But it does feel
like it's been there a while, doesn't it. I'm ready
for this now to to wrap up.

Speaker 8 (50:13):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (50:14):
Wow, Well that's what's going on there. And of course
yesterday some drama was Diddy actually looking at the jury
the jury and making making facial expressions and like puff puff,
you got told off by the judge.

Speaker 22 (50:28):
They d said, I'll kick you out of this court
if you keep sort of smiling and nodding making making
faces at the jury.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
I do have a question.

Speaker 10 (50:37):
When they pick you for the jury, do they have
to tell you ahead of time that you might see
visual images that will disturb you so that you can
say yes or no whether you.

Speaker 1 (50:46):
Want to be part of this.

Speaker 22 (50:47):
Yeah, I don't think you're allowed to say yes or no,
though they warn you, they give you the heads up,
but you can't just opt out because something's something's going
to happen that you don't want to see, because nobody
then would be on a murder case or any of
these really awful cases. But these videos, I'm told, are shocking,
and they're going to show them not to the public.
We're never going to get to see these. This is
just going to be for the jury.

Speaker 4 (51:08):
That's not traumatic for the people who are in them.
You now know that a lot of other people.

Speaker 5 (51:13):
Are going to see into Yeah, I wonder if any
names are going to come out. I think if there
were names that come up, I'm assuming we may have
heard of it.

Speaker 22 (51:21):
Yeah, we would have known about them by NAMA. And
I think too the reason that this was a secret
for so long is did he seems, allegedly he kept
it pretty small. It looked to me as if there
was only three people in this room. It was Cassie,
it was Diddy, and it was potentially a sex worker.
And so these were not Initially before the trial started,
I think we all had this image that it was

(51:42):
going to be like eyes wide shut, that there was
going to be thousands of people in these massive orgies.

Speaker 5 (51:47):
They weren't.

Speaker 22 (51:48):
They were really small, small events in hotel rooms with
a camera. And so that's probably why it was a
secret for as long as it was.

Speaker 5 (51:58):
And how does Johnson and aunt and feel about the
baby oil concept? Can you imagine it's no good luck enough? Well,
they didn't mean to careful. Hey, let's move on to
Hailey Bieber. You know she's been in the news past
couple of weeks with as her company became worth over
a billion dollars on paper at least. But how is

(52:20):
Justin merging into this story?

Speaker 22 (52:22):
He's really complicated. They've had trouble for a while. I
think it's been pretty obvious to anybody that has been
watching it. Justin's been through a lot recently. He's been
very very honest about his own mental health issues and
so things there are very very tense. Throw on that
now a billion dollars at a time when Justin might
be struggling financially.

Speaker 5 (52:43):
It's a lot.

Speaker 22 (52:44):
And so in mindsight is it telling me he's adjusting
to this? You would think if your partner was suddenly
worth a billion dollars, you would be out celebrating at NOBU.
I would be out every night, I would love it too. However,
if that relationship was based on Justin being the star,
the breadwinner, the guy in a traditional sense, it's quite tricky.

(53:07):
I think for just Into it just now that really
the person in that family, and now that has the money,
it's her, She's got a billion.

Speaker 10 (53:16):
Been the reason a couple of celebrity couples have broken
up in the past because one started out the bigger
star and then the tables turned and the egos couldn't
handle it.

Speaker 22 (53:26):
I witnessed it when I worked with Jessica Simpson when
Jessica married Nick.

Speaker 5 (53:29):
Nick was a star. Nick was really well known.

Speaker 22 (53:32):
Jessica had had some music, but she wasn't really doing
that well, and so when Jessica exploded on the Newly
Weds and became the star, you could see the tension.
It's it's it's I think in all relationships, not just
celebrity relationships, when the rules.

Speaker 5 (53:45):
Change is when trouble happens, that's wild. It is wild.
But I don't know. I still think of Justin as
being the star in the family just because he's having
some awful money problems allegedly, you know, But I'm know
I hope it all works out because they're both they're
both really nice people. And I've always been a big
justice Even when the people were going at him, we

(54:09):
were always on his side.

Speaker 9 (54:10):
I remember one thing you said, there's no prenup. No,
so then he's not really in debt, is he?

Speaker 5 (54:16):
Well?

Speaker 8 (54:17):
She now?

Speaker 22 (54:17):
God forbid they break up her if they decide. You know,
they were married in California and it's communal property, so
Justin could work walk away with hundreds of millions of dollards.

Speaker 5 (54:25):
There was no prenup.

Speaker 3 (54:28):
Uh you know.

Speaker 5 (54:29):
Danielle gave us a j Loo story today.

Speaker 1 (54:32):
Yes, Kiss of the Spider Woman.

Speaker 5 (54:34):
Have you seen Jennifer Lop Have you seen? I've seen
the trailer?

Speaker 1 (54:37):
What are your thoughts?

Speaker 5 (54:38):
I love her. She's old school fabulous. Just is from
a different era.

Speaker 22 (54:45):
She's not human, she's an avatar or an alien like
so ridiculously fabulous and I mean it in a RuPaul
type way, and that's a compliment.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
She's like, she's just.

Speaker 5 (54:58):
This this screen, wait on the.

Speaker 8 (55:09):
Should take it?

Speaker 5 (55:11):
Did you see Cheeta Rivera?

Speaker 22 (55:13):
And that was fabulous, so fabulous, And so I think
Jaylo is maybe the air apparent to Cheata Rivera.

Speaker 5 (55:19):
She can dance. I know people who worked on the movie.

Speaker 22 (55:22):
She shot it in like two months, in a real
short period, and they said she didn't sweat. I know
some dancers that they said she did number after number
after number. She just never And there was an incident
too where she was dancing on a bar and somebody
had left to drink like a coffee on the bar

(55:42):
and Jaylo kicked it by accident and then everyone froze.

Speaker 5 (55:45):
Like, oh my god, she's gonna go mad. She was fine,
clean it up, going. She was a real probe. I
want this to be a hit. I love musicals.

Speaker 22 (55:53):
I love this genre, and if anybody can bring them back,
it's not Tom Cruise, it's Jayla Well I love that too.

Speaker 5 (56:01):
And you know what, and I've always said, you know,
we've had Jennifer Lopez on the show many times. It
never was hers a problem. I think she surrounds herself
with people that work for her that turn it into it.

Speaker 22 (56:10):
Why was the problem? I worked with Jayla two and
I was an awful, awful person.

Speaker 10 (56:14):
Okay, behind the scenes, you always hear they demand these
things in their dressing rooms and then they're like demons,
is it you that's demanding or is it them that's demanding.

Speaker 22 (56:27):
It's a combination, a little bit of both. I think
it starts the slippery slope where when they start becoming
famous they want extra stuff and not crazy stuff, but
like some water would be loving in the dressing room.
I turned up today Gandhi and there was no water
for me. No however, so I think these riders get
bigger and bigger. But I remember I was with Jennifer
once and I had to explain to her that they

(56:49):
didn't have her Asian pairs that were on the rider,
and Jennifer was like, what are you talking?

Speaker 3 (56:56):
No?

Speaker 5 (56:56):
Hold on when she came to visit us, they had
that on the rider as well Asian parent and some
you weren't working with her then it was other people.
But then they also asked for some tea we couldn't
find anywhere. And then when when we mentioned it to Jlo,
she said, I never asked for any of those. She
has no idea.

Speaker 22 (57:12):
It's a really funny thing, isn't it. When you become
that famous and you have people around you and I
don't even know if you need to be famous, like,
but when you're in a big job and you're the boss.
People do talk on your behalf, so be careful who
you hire.

Speaker 4 (57:25):
Oh, that happens with Elvis. I'm partive.

Speaker 9 (57:29):
You get blamed for so many things that other people
don't want to do. Well, Elvis doesn't want to do it.

Speaker 7 (57:33):
I know.

Speaker 4 (57:33):
One questions that.

Speaker 22 (57:34):
They're like, Okay, well that's going to stop right now
until tomorrow. X. I've got a reservation tonight under your
name at a restaurant. Thank you, Elvis.

Speaker 1 (57:42):
All right, okay, my question about go ahead.

Speaker 5 (57:46):
He's going to don ang tonight on us. Got a
hair Gandhi and.

Speaker 4 (57:50):
The diva stuff. Is it true that she basin Evian water?

Speaker 22 (57:53):
No, absolutely, in a shower like the rest. When you
see her when she's not j Loo, she's got no
makeup on, her hairs pulled back in a ponytail, and
you're like, oh, Jennifer.

Speaker 5 (58:04):
Shut up and sit down. No, she's like a regular
you forget. Like, I think we love these people so much.

Speaker 22 (58:11):
They like pick their nose, they get to the bathroom
like like they're regular sort of ish people.

Speaker 5 (58:18):
They take duties just like the worst of us. I
know you want to talk about j Lo and Leah
Remedy because they were really good friends for a while.

Speaker 22 (58:26):
Up, Yeah, they had a falling out. Leah is on
the cover of a s weekly this this this week
talking about that falling out and saying they did reconnect
a little bit after they both got divorced.

Speaker 5 (58:36):
They reached out to each other.

Speaker 22 (58:37):
My Jennifer sources are saying to me, absolutely, yes, but
it's probably not gonna they were.

Speaker 1 (58:43):
They were besties, haven't.

Speaker 22 (58:45):
They had a falling out over Ben She didn't really
approve like Leah ultimately turned out to be right. She
warned Jennifer that this is not a good idea. But
you can never tell a friend that when a friend
dates somebody, you can't tell them the truth if they
have to figure it out themselves. And so now I think,
you know, maybe we've had this happen I have in

(59:05):
my life. People you were once really close with, you're
not enemies with anymore.

Speaker 15 (59:09):
But you move along.

Speaker 5 (59:10):
Jennifer's moved into a different place. Rob shooters here, of course,
are not a but nice rob. One more thing we
got to talk about. Then I got to play the
new song from Edge Shearing, which everyone loves. The Tony Awards,
our own Danielle is going to be on the red
carpet representing I heart Broadway. We're so excited for her.
It's great. So they're on Sunday. I have you've got
a gown, Daniel, would you have a gown? Yes?

Speaker 22 (59:30):
I think, very very nice, And so on Sunday, let's
do some predictions. So best musical. I think it's going
to be Maybe Happy Ending.

Speaker 5 (59:37):
Me too, I think so too.

Speaker 1 (59:40):
I wish it would be Death Becomester because I love it.

Speaker 22 (59:42):
But I think it's going to be maybe the best
best actor. I think it's going to be our friend
Darren Chris Wows in Maybe Happy Ending.

Speaker 5 (59:51):
My God, his ego is going to be bigger than ever.
I think best actress, Best actress is going to be
Audra Madonnald's.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
I have a question about this.

Speaker 10 (01:00:00):
So I heard that the whole Patty Lapone controversy really
gave Audra of the upper hand and helped her.

Speaker 5 (01:00:07):
It did. They're still voting until today.

Speaker 22 (01:00:08):
So when Patty went after Audra, the Broadway community suddenly realized, Wow,
we really love Audra. And the one that's going to
miss out here is Nicole war And I also.

Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
Heard that because of Nicole's political views, there was issues.

Speaker 22 (01:00:19):
There all of this happens when you vote for people.
You don't just vote for their policies or their performances.

Speaker 5 (01:00:25):
You vote for them. So big, big night. I'm going
to be watching it, Daniel. I hope I see you.

Speaker 22 (01:00:30):
I think I'm going wave brave wave. When you interview,
is there one star you want to talk to? George Clooney,
who is it?

Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
No, I like to you know, the real, the Broadway Act,
the real Great Night.

Speaker 5 (01:00:42):
By the way, speaking of George Clooney, good Night, good
Luck of course, doing really well on Broadway. Uh, and
it's live on Sorry, that's the new music. We gotta
play new music. Alarm, good Luck, good Night, good Luck
is on Live on seeing An n HBO Max Tomorrow
night or Sunday Night one or the other. Make sure
you watch that. We love you, Rob, I love you guys.

(01:01:05):
Out of all we're gonna play your theme, Don't Worry.
And then out of all of the uh, that alarm.
I gotta work on that. Out of all the new
music I've talked about, it's out today Mariah and Sabrina
and Ed Sheeran. You said that you liked Ed Shearon
the most most, So we're gonna play that. For you, right,
thank you in a couple of seconds. But first, where's
his theme there?

Speaker 22 (01:01:24):
It is.

Speaker 5 (01:01:28):
Very everyone. By the way, before you leave, tell everyone
how they can keep up with you at all times.

Speaker 22 (01:01:41):
Do a podcast on your division. It's part of your
your your growing podcast group. So every day wherever you
listen to your podcast, Naughty but Nice with Rob Alvis,
am are your favorite of the group?

Speaker 5 (01:01:52):
Who else do you have?

Speaker 3 (01:01:53):
No?

Speaker 5 (01:01:53):
There is no one teachers I know. Here we go.
So Sapphire came out yesterday the video as well. Danielle,
you're the biggest, the biggest ed Shearan fan in the world.
But he's also with Arjit Singh? Right?

Speaker 7 (01:02:13):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (01:02:14):
Is that?

Speaker 5 (01:02:14):
Yeah? Am I saying it correct? I don't want to
mess that up.

Speaker 4 (01:02:16):
I believe you are Arjit sing whoa stop it in
the video.

Speaker 5 (01:02:21):

Speaker 6 (01:02:59):
This is Elvis Duran in the Morning show.

Speaker 5 (01:03:03):
Danielle, What did you do last night?

Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
What did I do last night? I went for a walk.
I had a meeting yesterday afternoon.

Speaker 5 (01:03:11):
That was really Ita Gandhi? Yes, what did you What
did you tell her? What you did last night? I
know what you did, but tell them what you did.

Speaker 7 (01:03:19):
Oh.

Speaker 9 (01:03:19):
I went to something called the Radio Mercury Awards, and
I was able to present a bunch of awards to
some really really cool creative people who come up with
some of your favorite commercials that you hear on the air.

Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (01:03:31):
Nice, Well, I voted for top Dog Law. I hope
they won't there.

Speaker 9 (01:03:35):
Maybe next year, Yeah, maybe next year. This year they
did not take how many awards.

Speaker 5 (01:03:39):
But well, check out what Gandhi looked like last night.
It's got the amazing You had your hair blown out
by Dina with the pink hair. Your dress was just gorgeous.
You look. I know it's the Mercury Awards, it's a
big thing for advertising in the and media. But you
look too good for that room.

Speaker 9 (01:04:00):
I'll tell you it feels nice to get dressed up
because you know, I roll in here like one step
above a sleep every day, and it's nice to get
dressed up and get your hair makeup done every now
and then.

Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
It's a good time. And you guys are the best
self esteem boosters of all time.

Speaker 9 (01:04:14):
And because of you guys, I went and bought that
same exact dress in another color because yeah, it's on
my Instagram story.

Speaker 5 (01:04:22):
You looked awesome. And I saw producer Sam was hanging
out with Carla Marie. Was that last night?

Speaker 1 (01:04:28):
No, that was at her bridle shower this past last weekend.

Speaker 5 (01:04:31):
Oh she posted it. Well, I'll see she posted last night,
so then I assumed it was last night. Yeah, that
is cheating, but beautiful there. It was like I think
the Bridle Showers has, you know, a bunch of women
getting together like and then whatever. Everyone was dressed up.

Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
It was we had rules.

Speaker 10 (01:04:46):
We were told we had to dress in color at
the Bridle Shower, so everybody you had like we had
a task, so everybody got lots of color to wear.

Speaker 5 (01:04:53):
You know, Nate, we don't dress up anymore. We don't
end up foggy scary. We gotta dress up we gotta
go do something. They were just stressing.

Speaker 17 (01:05:00):
I would probably say at least half a dozen times
throughout the year that we would have to get dressed
up in suits and go out and do these these
gallas or parties.

Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
We don't dress up anymore, and when we.

Speaker 15 (01:05:10):
Used to get dressed up, people would always say to us, Wow, good, thanks,
that's a crap sandwich.

Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
Well that's what they told to wear a gown on
the red carpet this weekend. I was like a gown.

Speaker 15 (01:05:22):
My gosh, my grandma used to wear.

Speaker 5 (01:05:27):
I'm gonna send you a risk ursow, pretty fabulous like
the prom Yes, Gandhi.

Speaker 9 (01:05:31):
I've been trying to convince people very unsuccessfully around here
that we should maybe once a month, once every couple
of months, get dressed up really nicely and go drink
in the fancy hotel lobby and what happens in those,
you know, super pricey hotels.

Speaker 5 (01:05:47):
I'll go to Carlisle with you.

Speaker 6 (01:05:48):
I think we need to do it.

Speaker 4 (01:05:49):
I'd be so fun.

Speaker 16 (01:05:50):
I can't tell you how many times I've gone out
to a bar or restaurant and where the women are
dressed to the nines and the guys look like absolute trash.
We don't dress up. We should put more effort into it.
But I'm like, look at this, this is a total mismatch.

Speaker 5 (01:06:04):
You know what I want to see Froggy in a tux.
That's what I want to see. This is what I'm
looking for. We gotta fly you up here and get
you a tux.

Speaker 7 (01:06:11):
All right.

Speaker 15 (01:06:12):
The last time I really put a suit on was
your wedding.

Speaker 5 (01:06:15):
Oh my gosh it the last time I put on
a suit. Oh well, I am there is something to
be said for sweats. Now let's get into sound with Garrett.
It is new music Friday. You got a lot of
stuff going.

Speaker 19 (01:06:25):
Yes, good morning, all right, let's start with Sabrina Carpenter.
You might have heard it. If not, this is Manchild
all right, Addison Ray is back. This is called Times
like These. That is so smooth yep, kind of trippy,

(01:06:58):
kind of dreamy. And then Elvis you had mentioned this
earlier in the show. With all the new music out today,
including Rita or this is called Heat, there's our Rita
Aura Rah.

Speaker 5 (01:07:16):
We'll play that for a little bit. We'll give you
the official world premiere on our show. In this little bit.

Speaker 19 (01:07:20):
There we go, all right, little Wayne's album is out
today and he has a song on it with Jelly
Roll and Big Sean.

Speaker 5 (01:07:26):
This is called Sharks.

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
Jelly Sane always in the Sharks Always.

Speaker 5 (01:07:41):
Jelly Roll is not gonna be happy until he collaborates
with every single person in music everyway, because I bet
everyone's lining up to be with him as well, don't
you think.

Speaker 19 (01:07:51):
Yes, Well, we'll see if he can get a collaboration
with Mariah Carey maybe down the road. And she has
new music out today as well. This is Tight Dangerous,
which we started the show.

Speaker 21 (01:08:00):
Away on Annie Mariah I've ever heard yep.

Speaker 5 (01:08:14):
Agreed, that's great.

Speaker 19 (01:08:16):
And then finally we'll end off with Ellie Goulding and Marshmallow.
This is called Save My Love.

Speaker 8 (01:08:32):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (01:08:33):
Also some new music that we're loving, the new Julia
Michael song. We're gonna have her and playing it for
her new music all the way. She'll be here in
about ten minutes. And uh, you're fabulous. You're a good
American day. Thank you so much.

Speaker 19 (01:08:46):
I just want to say the room, happy anniversary, Happy
anniversary to my wife this weekend.

Speaker 5 (01:08:51):
Oh my god, who is she married to? I don't know.
I've got to figure it out. Hello Ali and in
the happy anniversary to you guys. Hope you have a
nice night. What's on your mind? Danielle, We'll start with you,
what's going on?

Speaker 10 (01:09:03):
Do any of you have a certain place on your
face that crumbs or food winds up?

Speaker 1 (01:09:09):
Because mine is the left corner of my mouth.

Speaker 10 (01:09:13):
There must be yeah, there must be like a little
crevice there, because every time I look in the mirror
after I've eaten something, I'm like, yeah, there it is,
and nobody tells you.

Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
So do you guys have a place like that?

Speaker 10 (01:09:23):
They one specific place with a beard on your face? Yeah,
that makes sense on your beer, Yeah no.

Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
Mine's not on my face. My crumbs all fall on
that shelf, which is my stomach.

Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
I got to I have one tooth that always collects something.

Speaker 1 (01:09:37):
Yeah, why.

Speaker 4 (01:09:40):
No, they fixed it. That's why it does it.

Speaker 5 (01:09:43):
It was better when it was broken.

Speaker 18 (01:09:46):
Up with you.

Speaker 5 (01:09:47):
Today we have the best listeners.

Speaker 16 (01:09:49):
You know It's been said time and time again, but
yesterday I was asking for the Nintendo Switch to which
came out and sold out immediately, because I'm trying to
get it from my my nephew.

Speaker 5 (01:10:01):
And a listener was listening at that moment she went.

Speaker 16 (01:10:04):
Into Target, got the last one, bought it, and then
texted us about it. So yesterday afternoon I met up
with Giselle from Closter on a shady street in Newark
to do the deal where I just basically she gave
me the Nintendo switch to and I gave her some
some Elvis Durman Morning Show apparel money, and I gave
her I ven wote heard the money. But it's just

(01:10:26):
amazing and fascinating the way she just said, you know what,
I'm gonna do this, and she went ahead and did
it and then texted me about it afterwards.

Speaker 5 (01:10:33):
She said, I got you a new thing. And I
know it's a self serving thing, but it's really very
show how awesome are our listeners are awesome? And you
know I would I would love just a month on
the beach in the Hamptons in a house. If someone
could into the universe, I'm gonna put it out there.
I'm going to create it.

Speaker 11 (01:10:52):
We could do.

Speaker 5 (01:10:54):
No, I didn't invite anyone, Sorry, no, I think. Okay, okay,
you're all in it up for a night. Okay, good
around the room to Nate. What's going on?

Speaker 7 (01:11:04):
Nate?

Speaker 17 (01:11:04):
Okay, I've got some words of wisdom, Words of wisdom
here from pop pop you ready, yes, pop up, Live
every moment, Love every Day because before you know it,
your precious time slips away. I would like to take
credit for that, but no, those are the lyrics of
Ario Speedwagon. And I heard this song on the iHeart
eighties channel on the iHeartRadio app, and you're able to

(01:11:27):
look up the lyrics. I gotta say it's one of
my favorite features. And uh yeah, every once in a
while you're listening to a song and say.

Speaker 5 (01:11:33):
You know what, that hit home?

Speaker 17 (01:11:36):
That hit home, Live every moment, Love every Day because
before you know it, time slips away. You see, I
loved it until you told me it was from Ario Speedwage.
That's why I didn't want to say that first.

Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
Well you did.

Speaker 5 (01:11:48):
You should have said that.

Speaker 17 (01:11:48):
It conflated my tire. It is live every moment. Yeah,
give them a little credit here on the iHeart Radio
eighties channel.

Speaker 5 (01:11:55):
So there you go. There you go, Hey, Froggy, what's
up with you today?

Speaker 15 (01:11:58):
Well, other than Nate, which is the op, does anybody
else in this room ember find themselves doing old person things?

Speaker 1 (01:12:04):
Yeah, of course, I'm sure.

Speaker 5 (01:12:05):
I think everything I do at this point is an
old person.

Speaker 7 (01:12:08):
So it is.

Speaker 15 (01:12:09):
It is Friday and Monday. I went to Chick fil
A on the way home and grabbed I got just
a cup of ice and coke zero from Chick fil A.
I am still using that same styrofoam cup. I've washed
it out probably fifteen times. I'm still using it. I
know styrofoam is really bad for the environment, so I'm like,
I'm going to use this cup until i can't use
it anymore. It is basically stained with the colors of

(01:12:29):
the ligis I've had in it, but I'm still using it.
I'm gonna use it until the bottom falls out.

Speaker 14 (01:12:34):
For real.

Speaker 15 (01:12:35):
I don't I like the cup. I don't want to
just go and get another one because I know styrofoam
is not a good thing. But I'm reusing it. I'm
washing it out right now. It's in the dishwasher. I
didn't turn the dishwasher on, but it's dry the dishwasher.
No no, no, I didn't turn it on. I washed
it and I just used the rack to dry. It's drying.
I use it again later, all right, let us know.

Speaker 5 (01:12:57):
Let us know how long it lasts, and then when
it when it finally disintegrates, we'll give it a burial
of some sort. Fall out of it, all, right, Yeah,
we all do old things old people. Speaking of that video,
I said to you guys that I DMed you the
video of what we used to look like as forty
year olds twenty years ago or thirty years ago versus now. Ye,
why do we look better now at forty or fifty

(01:13:19):
or sixty than we did back then? Their assumption was
we drink more water now and we're not doing as
many bad things to our bodies now.

Speaker 7 (01:13:25):
It is that.

Speaker 5 (01:13:25):
What do you think the answer is?

Speaker 6 (01:13:26):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (01:13:28):
It's that, and yeah, moisturizer. But also there's so much
stuff now that people care about. I think they didn't
care about before. Like guys used to go bald and
just have the halo. You don't really see that anymore.

Speaker 22 (01:13:38):
Now.

Speaker 9 (01:13:38):
You either see hair plugs or they shave it off completely.
Women have all these extensions and so much makeup and
surgery and filler botox.

Speaker 5 (01:13:44):
There's a lot.

Speaker 15 (01:13:45):
Don't forget the salmon stuff people are doing.

Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
The salmon's.

Speaker 5 (01:13:50):
Yeah, all that rons. We gotta hurry. I have a
nine to thirty appointment with my semologist. What's up with
You Today producer Sam trying to.

Speaker 13 (01:14:00):
Keep an open mind about this, but it feels a
little weird. I have a neighbor I am very friendly with.
He's a super sweet guy. We have each other's phone number,
and he called me and he goes, I made a
friend date for you.

Speaker 4 (01:14:09):
Excuse me?

Speaker 7 (01:14:10):
What?

Speaker 13 (01:14:10):
He met someone that he thinks I would like, So
he took the liberty to set us up on a
lunch date.

Speaker 4 (01:14:15):
Oh okay, No, I'm going to do it because he's
super nice.

Speaker 11 (01:14:21):
I'm going to try and keep an open mind about it.

Speaker 13 (01:14:23):
But what an interesting thing to decide to do for
someone like he already put me in the situation.

Speaker 4 (01:14:27):
So now I kind of feel like a jerk for
backing out. So I'm gonna do it.

Speaker 13 (01:14:30):
That's kind of a strange thing to do without asking
someone in advance, right, very Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:14:36):
Good, you're reporting on it on the show.

Speaker 8 (01:14:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:14:40):
I don't know if he listens or not. Dude, you
know I love you.

Speaker 11 (01:14:42):
That's just it's just weird.

Speaker 5 (01:14:44):
Okay, maybe they're not listening. I'm embarrassed for you. We'll see, Gandhi,
what's up with you?

Speaker 4 (01:14:51):
Okay?

Speaker 9 (01:14:52):
We always complain about people taking things from us and
our desks, and I think the call is coming from
inside the house because I've noticed I bring things into
the studio, they get used, nobody replaces them on my desk.
We know that Nate was the culprit for the candy.
I'll bring napkins in every day. I have suspicions about
who uses all the napkins.

Speaker 4 (01:15:13):
Nobody replaces the napkins.

Speaker 6 (01:15:16):
I use all.

Speaker 5 (01:15:18):
She admits it. What's going on here? You're using your napkins.

Speaker 10 (01:15:22):
But the problem is I have very long nails, and
so every all the food gets stuck under my nails.
I'm constantly with the napkins under my nails.

Speaker 9 (01:15:28):
Sorry, you just replace it. That's my cleraton running out, Nate,
I know it's not. I'm just saying we need to
start practicing resetting the room. You leave it the way
you found it. I don't mind giving people all my stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:15:41):
Just replace it's the rule.

Speaker 5 (01:15:43):
Is not leave it the way you found it. The
rule is leave it better than you found it.

Speaker 4 (01:15:46):
I would take that.

Speaker 5 (01:15:47):
If someone's eating the clarton every day, they should bring
two in every day to replace them.

Speaker 4 (01:15:52):
There you go, that's it. That's my beef napkins.

Speaker 1 (01:15:55):
Next break I went and got there.

Speaker 5 (01:15:56):
Well, best to you guys. I can never steal things
from any of you people, do I if I've ever
been caught handed stealing from any of you.

Speaker 17 (01:16:01):
You forget stuff, you leave stuff that people steal. Remember
the toaster O then oh yeah, yeah, well I got
that back. Scary, I don't don't it.

Speaker 5 (01:16:09):
Don't make me mad. It's scary for stealing my toaster oven.
I really I felt like you were looting in my office,
just like, yeah, well you can window in stole my
toaster oven just sitting there. I'm like, maybe he doesn't
because the city there doesn't mean it's yours. You can't
just take things.

Speaker 7 (01:16:23):
I know.

Speaker 5 (01:16:23):
I returned it though, and unopened. All right, Uh, Danielle,
just give us, give us your your idea of what
we should be watching this weekend on TV and streaming
and in the theater.

Speaker 10 (01:16:35):
Well, if you go to the theaters, Ballerina is out.
It is the prequel set between the third and fourth
John Wick movies. But they're still saying Leelo and Stitch
will be number one for a third week in a row.
Of course, the Tony Awards are going down Sunday night.
You want to watch that Game two of the Stanley
Cup Finals is happening. You've got a live performance of
good Night, good Luck on CNN from George Clooney. Because

(01:16:56):
of the Tony's going down, Storage Wars is bad, You've
got La Prie Parade, A lot of good stuff on
this weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
Tucci in Italy. I know you like that season finale.
There so a lot of good stuff to stream this weekend.

Speaker 10 (01:17:09):
What about the Tony's The Tony's, I said, the Tony

Julia Michaels here, Hi Julia, Julie. How many years has
it been since you've been with us on our show?

Speaker 11 (01:18:02):
A lot like forty nine BC. It's been a long time.

Speaker 5 (01:18:08):
And uh, look at all it's happened since then, You've
written the biggest songs, no demand for so many artists.
It's about damn time we hear you singing your songs.
You do your song.

Speaker 20 (01:18:18):
Yeah, I'm so It's been a long journey. I'm so
grateful to be here and be back here.

Speaker 11 (01:18:24):

Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
He's a babe, yeah from he's from France.

Speaker 5 (01:18:39):
From Does he have a large backet?

Speaker 22 (01:18:44):
Yes?

Speaker 11 (01:18:46):
Just got engaged right like last month?

Speaker 9 (01:18:49):
Well yeah, girl, wait, can't we ask how it happened?
I feel like that's always a great story, the engaged.

Speaker 3 (01:18:55):
You know what.

Speaker 20 (01:18:56):
It was like so unplanned and we were just on
like a day date and he was like, babe, and
I turn around and he like got down on his
knee and we were like kind of at the beach
and I dropped my phone in the sand and I
confined it and I was like, what is.

Speaker 11 (01:19:10):
Happening right now?

Speaker 20 (01:19:11):
And I was crying and he was like I had
a speech and I forgot it and it just was like,
you know, there was no cameras, there was no nothing.

Speaker 10 (01:19:20):
It was just us and I'm supposed to saying.

Speaker 5 (01:19:27):
Okay, as an artist, how does your life change? How
does your writing change? How does everything you do as
an artist change when you're in love?

Speaker 11 (01:19:35):
It doesn't.

Speaker 5 (01:19:36):
It doesn't.

Speaker 20 (01:19:37):
No. I mean obviously, like topics will change, you know.
I definitely write things that are like a little bit
more sexy or flirty, like you can see a lot
of that on the EP.

Speaker 11 (01:19:49):
But my process hasn't changed.

Speaker 5 (01:19:51):
I love Try your luck. By the way, We're gonna
play it again in a few minutes, but let's talk
about writing Try your luck.

Speaker 11 (01:19:57):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:19:57):
How many words rhyme with the word cluck?

Speaker 7 (01:20:03):
You do?

Speaker 5 (01:20:03):
I mean you spin out? I think it's I think
it's question. Is it six words that rhyme with uck?

Speaker 11 (01:20:07):
I little have no clue.

Speaker 9 (01:20:12):
All right, Okay, there's right Trump, Cook Cook using nothing
Songsuck Buck, Hello, suck.

Speaker 18 (01:20:22):
Duck.

Speaker 11 (01:20:23):
Oh duck is good?

Speaker 4 (01:20:24):
Yeah, muck yeah, just keep going uck Yeah, we could
get we go all day up chuck yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:20:32):
Oo see, we could all be songwriters. Who do you
think you are?

Speaker 11 (01:20:36):
Julia truly nobody?

Speaker 5 (01:20:39):
This EP is out now, Yeah, and it's got it's
got a fun vibe to it. Yeah, you're I don't know.
It sounds like you had fun doing this music.

Speaker 6 (01:20:47):
I did.

Speaker 20 (01:20:48):
I had a lot of fun. I left my major
label at the end of twenty twenty three, and I
was like really terrified.

Speaker 11 (01:20:58):
I didn't know what to do. I didn't really have
a lot of self worth.

Speaker 20 (01:21:02):
You know, you kind of feel like a cog in
the big industry, you know, you just kind of like
don't really know what happens after that. And I had
written a song with John Bellon called Heaven Too, and
it was kind of that song where I was like, wait,
I really want to do this, and I really want.

Speaker 11 (01:21:20):
To give myself like a real chance.

Speaker 20 (01:21:23):
And I always put my time and effort and energy
into other people and I'm grateful that I get to
do that, but I always kind of put myself on
the back burner because I don't know if I believe
in myself as an artist as much as I believe
in myself as a songwriter. And so I put together
this incredibly beautiful, tiny team and started my own label.

Speaker 11 (01:21:41):
And here we are now, like putting these songs out.

Speaker 1 (01:21:44):
What I like having complete control over everything.

Speaker 11 (01:21:56):
It's been. It's been a really beautiful experience.

Speaker 5 (01:21:59):
People are always wondering, what's it like, what's it like
to not have to answer to so many people and
create a person within myself because of what they expect
of me.

Speaker 20 (01:22:11):
It's so nice because I feel like when you're on
a major label, there's so many opinions, there's so many
you know, like this song that you love, it's like, oh,
maybe three of them like it, and then like six
of them don't like it, and you're like, but I
love this song, and and then and then all of
a sudden, all your art just feels a bit like
muddled and weird. And and so this is the first

(01:22:32):
time that I've ever been allowed to trust my gut
and follow that.

Speaker 11 (01:22:37):
And it's just been. Yeah, it's been amazing.

Speaker 5 (01:22:41):
Look at all you learned about what you don't want.
Look at all your learned the good stuff you've learned
from people that you've met in these labels.

Speaker 20 (01:22:48):
So when people ask me, like, if you could change
one thing about your past, what would it be?

Speaker 11 (01:22:52):
And I'm like, literally nothing.

Speaker 20 (01:22:55):
I have gone through all of these experiences, relationships, like
all of that stuff, and I'm like, cool, these are
the things that I will never settle forever again, these
are the things that I will or like just such
a hard note to me. And had I not gone
through those experiences, I would not have that.

Speaker 5 (01:23:13):
Now you had.

Speaker 11 (01:23:16):
Time, I agree.

Speaker 10 (01:23:17):
Can I go back to Like when you do write
a song for someone, so, how do you do you
pick who you want to give it to?

Speaker 1 (01:23:23):
Do you have someone in mind?

Speaker 10 (01:23:24):
Like if you write something for Sabrina Carpenter, You're like, oh, yeah,
this is for her? Or is there a different process?

Speaker 20 (01:23:30):
A lot of the times I'm with the artists that
that song goes too, so it's not I feel like
pitching songs hasn't really been a thing for a long time.
A lot of the times, if it's a song with Tate,
like I'm with Tate. If it's a song like for Sabrina,
I'm with Sabrina, And it really just depends on the person,

(01:23:51):
depends on the day. Sometimes, like artists won't be like
lyricists quote unquote, but they'll like talking lyrics, and so
my job is to just kind of like pen down
or like retain everything that they're saying to me so
that we can put it into a song. Sometimes someone
will come into like a fully formed uh song, and

(01:24:14):
so I'm there to just be like, oh, let's maybe
change this and like like fix the structure here. So
or sometimes people just have no idea and then I
get to be like, oh, what about this idea that
I had?

Speaker 11 (01:24:24):
Or like what about this? And I mean, the job
is collaborating.

Speaker 5 (01:24:27):
So then I'm just walking to the studio and go, hey,
what you got? So so it writes.

Speaker 11 (01:24:32):
Sometimes people are like, I'm so tired today, I have
no idea what to say.

Speaker 5 (01:24:36):
There's a song right there. I'm so tired, I say.
But so when you walk into a collaboration meeting with
you with your your small group of friends that you're
working with. Now, is the writing process different now that
you know for a fact it's the song you're performing.

Speaker 20 (01:24:54):
I mean, it's always gonna be different for me, like
for songs that I write for myself because obviously you
can't really help putting a little bit of yourself into
everything that you write. But for myself, it's my thoughts,
my feelings, the details of my life, you know, like
in its very raw, unapologetic form, and so yeah, those

(01:25:15):
are obviously going to be a little bit more special
to me because they're my experiences, but it doesn't mean
that they they are not both, you know, incredibly special
to me. You know.

Speaker 5 (01:25:25):
I love it that Julia did for us and Go Yourself.
She had to take the EF word out, so she
went down the street and put a blanket of her
head and record it.

Speaker 11 (01:25:37):
Yeah, so we needed a clean version for y'all to play.
We didn't have a clean version.

Speaker 20 (01:25:44):
So I texted my producer and was kind of like,
if I sing this into voice memo, if I sing
go find yourself, Like, can you manipulate it into a
way that it's going to work. He was like, yeah,
like let's try it. So we're we're walking through Central Park.
It's so noisy, so I like had to go and
like run and find like a quiet corner. I have

(01:26:06):
my coat over my head and I'm.

Speaker 1 (01:26:08):
Like, go find yourself and find yourself.

Speaker 20 (01:26:12):
Yeah, I was saying, go find yourself, which to me,
I think is even more poignant than go after yourself.

Speaker 11 (01:26:18):
It's like baby, go find yourself.

Speaker 5 (01:26:24):
With her coat over her head, singing this just for us,
down do illustrated central hate the.

Speaker 11 (01:26:31):
Way yourself down.

Speaker 4 (01:26:36):
I love so taste.

Speaker 3 (01:26:38):
But it.

Speaker 2 (01:26:41):
Set find your.

Speaker 20 (01:26:51):
Go find yourself over and over and over for him
to try and take really clean takes of it.

Speaker 5 (01:26:58):
And it worked.

Speaker 3 (01:26:59):
We got it.

Speaker 6 (01:27:01):
Absolutely.

Speaker 9 (01:27:02):
I'm sure it looked like one of the homeless people
in the park that's just themselves over now.

Speaker 11 (01:27:05):
I'm sure I was.

Speaker 4 (01:27:07):
Under a blanket exactly.

Speaker 5 (01:27:09):
Okay, so the EPs out, Yes, are you are you
going to hit the road?

Speaker 11 (01:27:13):
We are definitely talking about that.

Speaker 5 (01:27:16):
Not what how do you feel about that?

Speaker 6 (01:27:18):
Not this year?

Speaker 20 (01:27:19):
I I'm equal parts excited and equal parts a little
scared for two reasons. One because I haven't toured in
a really long time. I'm like, I hope people show up.
But two, touring is such a daunting experience.

Speaker 5 (01:27:37):
Talk about that for you, for you, it's daunting.

Speaker 20 (01:27:39):
Why I'm just I'm a I'm a very empathetic person,
so I retain a lot of feelings, even like writing
songs sometimes can be a lot for me, and I'm
also such a creature of comfort. I love my things
and my space and my friends, and being away from
all those things for you know, seven month straight at

(01:28:00):
a time can be really overwhelming.

Speaker 11 (01:28:03):
So I'm scared for that. But I have also decided, because.

Speaker 20 (01:28:07):
It's my way now, yeah, that I'm gonna do it
in a way that's just like conducive for my mental
health and my and just emotionally and physically and what
that looks like. But we're not talking about it this year.
This year, I really am just enjoying the process of
putting out songs and being in that again, like it's

(01:28:29):
been so long since I've gotten to do that.

Speaker 11 (01:28:32):
But we're talking about it next year.

Speaker 5 (01:28:33):
Okay. You know what, Gandhi, you and and Julia have
something in common. Gardening girl.

Speaker 11 (01:28:41):
You love a garden.

Speaker 6 (01:28:42):
I love a garden.

Speaker 4 (01:28:43):
My apartment is indoor garden.

Speaker 11 (01:28:44):
It's what do you have?

Speaker 4 (01:28:46):
I have everything. I have all the flowers.

Speaker 11 (01:28:48):
I got one of the.

Speaker 9 (01:28:48):
Garden Tech indoor gardens. Oh yeah, you can get vegetables
and flowers. I have a giant money tree.

Speaker 6 (01:28:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:28:54):
I have pothos everywhere. And here's my kink. Yeah yeah,
and I'm getting a little hot. I was just talking
about this this morning. Oh my gosh, I'm such a geek.

Speaker 5 (01:29:07):
Do you miss your cause you're traveling around pushing your
music here the EP, you're not home watering your tomato.

Speaker 11 (01:29:12):
Literally, I'm texting my assistant in the morning. Wait, can
you can you please water my tomatoes and import my
baby some love?

Speaker 20 (01:29:21):
No, you're gonna think I'm an absolute psychopath when I
tell you all of the things that I have planted
around my garden.

Speaker 11 (01:29:28):
Okay, I have me, me me.

Speaker 20 (01:29:31):
I have olives, lemons, pink lemons, mangoes, avocados, pistachios, bananas, figs, pomegranates, blueberries,
and then I just put raised beds.

Speaker 11 (01:29:43):
In and now I have.

Speaker 20 (01:29:46):
I have cilancho, mint, red peppers, green peppers, sshieto peppers,
three different kinds of tomatoes, oregano, time, sage.

Speaker 6 (01:29:55):
And bathel.

Speaker 1 (01:29:58):
She's amazing, massive garden.

Speaker 4 (01:30:01):
You survive off of that?

Speaker 11 (01:30:02):
Yeah, I really just want that.

Speaker 20 (01:30:04):
And some of them produce fruit already, and some of
them take like a couple of years to really be
able to flourish. But my I really want to be
able to like walk around my house and just like
eat as I walk, like on a phone call, like
hey Alvie, just like casually eating blueberries off the bush.

Speaker 5 (01:30:22):
You know I want that for you except for Cilantro.

Speaker 14 (01:30:26):
Are you not a.

Speaker 11 (01:30:29):
Big fan?

Speaker 5 (01:30:30):
Okay, you can have all. I'll send your mind please,
So you know, this is this life. If you just
do nothing about write songs and do nothing but perform songs, what.

Speaker 11 (01:30:40):
Do I do in my spare time?

Speaker 5 (01:30:41):
But what I'm saying, if it's all you did do,
that would make Julia a kind of an adult girl,
would be a dull boy. Yeah, you gotta do these things.
You got, you gotta bear in love. You're marrying a French.

Speaker 1 (01:30:53):
You've got to plan a wedding too.

Speaker 6 (01:30:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 20 (01:30:55):
I know we are actively in the talk of that,
which is really exciting. But yeah, I do other things.
I like to be in the sun. I like to garden.
I like to read books. I like doing anything sort
of tangible with my hands. I like to draw or
like I got really into cruschheg. I'm basically a grandma.

(01:31:16):
I'm basically eighty years old. I am it's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:31:20):
Sweater, Yeah exactly.

Speaker 5 (01:31:22):
Because I always wonder what are the artists? What are
our favorite artists doing when they're not being artists, right,
it sounds like everything else you do has a connection
with artist fry of some sort.

Speaker 22 (01:31:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 20 (01:31:32):
Well, I try to do things that are really calming,
I think because when I'm writing songs, like if I'm
writing songs with other people, like our nervous systems are
so heightened, and there's like that part of our brain
that's just so emotionally available at all times, and so
those things for me are like things to just decompress
and get kind of like my brain off of all

(01:31:54):
of that stuff.

Speaker 9 (01:31:56):
When you are writing and you get into that space,
do you have somebody or multiple people who are your
favorite to collaborate with?

Speaker 20 (01:32:03):
Yeah, I mean I definitely have like my go to
producers and songwriters that I love to work with. And
there are definitely artists where.

Speaker 11 (01:32:12):
When I get the call, I'm like hell yeah, like
let's go.

Speaker 20 (01:32:16):
There's so many. Obviously, Tate, I love her so much.
I think she's such an incredible artist. Se Lena will
always answer the phone for I've written songs with her
since I was nineteen years old, and the fact that
we still make songs together all after all these years
is just so beautiful.

Speaker 11 (01:32:33):
I just think the world of her. Yeah, I don't know,
there's so many.

Speaker 1 (01:32:38):
Is there anyone that you want to call that hasn't
called yet?

Speaker 11 (01:32:42):
I've written with a lot of people. Oh my god.
You know there's like, I don't know, Chris Martin I
think would be really fun one. Or what about Jellywall
or somebody.

Speaker 1 (01:32:55):
The Jellywall type of over Yeah, oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:32:58):
I never rule anybody out.

Speaker 20 (01:33:00):
You never know, like we could be completely different people
and come in the studio and write something amazing. You
truly never know what's gonna happen when you go into
a room with someone.

Speaker 5 (01:33:12):
Yeah, but the magic moment is now with you. Your
EP is out. Second Self is the name of it.
It's you. It's you, and that must make you feel
really really great.

Speaker 11 (01:33:22):
It really does.

Speaker 20 (01:33:23):
I I'm so yeah, I'm so happy we called it
second Self because basically, I feel like I feel like
when you're assigned to a major label and you come
out with a song, that song kind of becomes your
identifier a little bit. So like I come out with
this really raw, vulnerable song like issues, and I feel
like there's like this unspoken thing of like, Okay, that's

(01:33:47):
now your world that's where you're.

Speaker 4 (01:33:50):
Gonna live now, you're the girl with issues.

Speaker 11 (01:33:53):
And if I did.

Speaker 20 (01:33:54):
Anything that was kind of like sexier or poppier or flirtier,
I always felt like I was like not allowed to
do that because it wasn't my part of my identifier.
So like anytime I would write those songs, I get
really scared to even like show the label. So I
think like with Heaven two, that was definitely like one
of the sexier songs that I've I had written, and

(01:34:15):
it was like, Okay, this is what I want to do.

Speaker 11 (01:34:19):
Obviously, I am a really raw, vulnerable person. I that
is a huge part of who I.

Speaker 20 (01:34:26):
Am, but it's not all of who I am, and
I really wanted to be able to show that on
second self. It's like, yes, I am these things, but
I'm also these things. I'm also like funny and silly
and ridiculous and flirty and sexy and you know all
of these other things. And I wanted to sort of
just like give myself permission to have those songs as well.

Speaker 5 (01:34:47):
Again, driving a work, listening to Julia Michael's talk about this,
you got to give yourself permission, Yep, you gotta let
yourself off the hook when it comes to certain things,
you're hooked on, ye, and before you know it, you're
doing your thing. Yeah, many many reasons to be proud
of it.

Speaker 20 (01:35:00):
And I'm glad someone's gonna be in their car and
be like, I'm quitting my job today.

Speaker 4 (01:35:05):
The time, I'm not happy.

Speaker 5 (01:35:09):
By kids by themselves in the house.

Speaker 1 (01:35:11):
Don't do that.

Speaker 5 (01:35:13):
By yourself away, Julian Michaels. Your second self is the
ep I've got to play. Try your luck. Let's how
many words can fine with the word clock. Julian Michaels
thinks you're coming into that.

Speaker 6 (01:35:29):
Thank you so much, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
