Speaker 1 (00:01):
Get your hand us together, and we're gonna start to party.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm ready to party.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
See Elvis Duran after Party.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
It's the after Party podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Come on, got a full house.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
We've got Gandhi and we've got straight Innate and Scottie
b is here. I see Garrett, I see Danielle, I
see Sketty.

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Let's go. Uh.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
So we were off for a week and well actually
in a day because we had Monday office both. So well,
getting back into the swing of things. I'm back in
the country. I can actually turn on Netflix again and
watch something. I need suggestions. I am so far behind.
What should I be watching? What should everyone be watching
right now?

Speaker 6 (00:48):
Oh? This is tough.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
So are we talking about earlier?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (00:53):
Oh god, monsters at Geen story disgusting. But I would
definitely recommend that, And I feel we're saying i'd recommend
it because when I went down the rabbit Hole, it
did talk about how this changed the way that we
consume horror and that were kind of horrible people for it.
So I am recommending it, but know that I think
that in my head.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
All right, it's on my list. Okay, done? You ready
out of list? I got a list. I'm ready. Oh Garrets.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
And happy birthday to Garrit, thank you on October fifteenth.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Thank you.

Speaker 7 (01:24):
All right, we'll start with the HBO Task. So Task
is your you know, the typical Sunday night HBO nine
pm show.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
That's what it is.

Speaker 7 (01:32):
It's about a bunch of detectives, uh, dealing with drugs
and uh just.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
A lot of corruption.

Speaker 7 (01:38):
And comes to an end. This this coming Sunday is
the season finale and it's based in like South Philly,
Pennsylvania area, so Nate, you can relate to the areas
over there. Over on Prime too, we got the John
Candy documentary.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Oh I want to see that? Have you seen it?

Speaker 7 (01:55):
I learned so much about a guy who I thought
was just in a handful of films, only to learn
that he was in like almost one hundred plus films
and the things he learned. Did you know he owned
a football team in Canada with Wayne Gretzky.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
No, I had no house spoiler spoilers, But I did
hear that you learn about his relationship with his kids?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I think a little bit, yeh. His kids are a
part of it.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Yeah, okay, all right, okay, Yes, John Candy I want
to see that, Yes, and then a crappy one.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
And I think Mark Wohlberg is kind of like mailing
it in it's called play Dirty. I just feel like
he's just like, all right, I'm gonna make a movie
and just puts it out there without like any concept
recommending it. I'm not recommending. I'm just kind of like
I did.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
I watched it supposed to recommend it this whole point.

Speaker 7 (02:39):
While we're at the point of don't watch that, don't
watch that, Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Okay, so okay, so let's have another category something you
shouldn't watch. But back to you, Gandhi, is there something
other than the game thing Boots.

Speaker 6 (02:51):
I don't know if you guys have seen Boots.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Oh the gay Ones.

Speaker 6 (02:54):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
I love gay things with the name Boots in the title.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
Yeah, it's pretty good. It's about young boy who is
graduating high school and he's gay and he goes to
the Marines and what that experience is like for him.
And it's very funny based on a true story a
guy who wrote a book about his experience there. But
I'm more of like a documentary dork about things. And
there's a documentary that's been out for a little bit.

(03:18):
It's called Assassins. If I could recommend one movie for
everyone to watch my movie documentary, it would be Assassins.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Excellent. I've seen it.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
It was the assassination of Kim Jong Nam from Korea
and what happened there.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I remember when this came out. Yeah, the girls in
the airport and.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
Boom, yes, the girls in the airport.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
It's amazing. We talked about it when it came out.
It's been several years. Let's bring it back.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Absolutely.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
Just go watch it and you'll trust nothing ever in
the world, ever again, because this is all true. It's wild,
but it's a really good one.

Speaker 8 (03:51):
I'd like to bring something back as well. Yes, So
we're watching Good Girls. There's four seasons that started in
twenty eighteen. Christina Hendrix, Manny Antana, Matthew Lillard. So it's
about these women who are like housewives and they need
to make money, so they figure out a way to
do it. It's not legal, and it's all the craziness
because you know, you tell one lie, it leads to

(04:13):
another and all kinds of crap happens. It's so good
that Sheldon and I are watching it and it's one
of those shows where we're like, okay, one more episode, Okay,
one more episode, and we don't want to it's to end.
It's so good. So it's called Good Girls and it's
on Netflix.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Okay, Nate go, So I'm going to give you an
app first of all, that you guys may not have.
Has anybody heard of Canopy?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
KNY? What do they do?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
So Canopy? If you have a library card, you can
link your library card to this and there's a streaming
service that a lot of libraries subscribe to and you
can go see all of their material that they have
licensed through this Canopy app. So I've got several different
library cards. I go there. There's no commercials, there's no ads, nothing,
and they've got a lot of great documentaries, a lot

(04:59):
of British series. I saw this documentary called Impostor. Has
anybody ever seen this? It's from like ten to fifteen
years ago. This Little Boy this true story. A little
boy goes missing in Texas.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, this is excellent, go tell everyone about it.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Vanishes. Six months later, this kid shows up on the
parents doorstep and says, I'm your son. I was kidnapped,
taken to France and Spain, and I'm back now.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Not the sun.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
He is an imposter and the crazy thing is damn
the parents believe him.

Speaker 6 (05:36):
It's the weirdest a blood test or like.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
What I mean testy.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
I mean they needed, they wanted to believe it was
wanted to believe it was him.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
It's sad. It's really well done though, but it's so
well done.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
And the kid he says he was abused, so he
has to wear a hat and glasses and a scarf,
so he's not You can't really, but this guy is.
And the guy had done it before. It's impostor impost
insane that that's really well done. Nuts, it's very.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Wise choice, scary, damn anything.

Speaker 9 (06:08):
Yeah, I mean I'm a little more surfaced than all
you guys. And you know I don't watch too much TV,
but when I am on a plane, I am always
searching for good stuff. And I finally got a chance
to watch Pee Wee as himself.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
That's a wonderful documentary.

Speaker 9 (06:25):
Yeah, if you're a gen xer or an older millennial,
you did this is right in your wheelhouse, or even not.
I mean if this is for everyone, I mean you
get to see the man behind who was Pee Wee Herman,
and you know, from it takes you from his childhood
to how he created Pee Wee's Playhouse. I didn't know
how intense it was, and how intricate the set was
and and everything that they did, and I took that

(06:46):
for granted watching that every week.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
And then of course it talks.

Speaker 9 (06:49):
About, you know, when he was caught, you know, you know,
doing you know.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Poll masturbating in a movie theater. Yeah, I'll say it
for you.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Do you think if somebody did that today would be
as big a deal as it was when Pee Wee
did it?

Speaker 4 (07:03):
I would hope so yeah. But yeah, so if it's
a celebrity, I would think so.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (07:08):
Right. And then the other thing I have for you
guys is the movie Saturday Night based on Saturday Night Live.
It's all, you know, fiction in the sense of it's
all actors playing you know, Lauren Michaels and all the
key people. But it talks about how that show almost
never was and it almost.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Didn't get on the air.

Speaker 9 (07:29):
They were ready to run a Johnny Carson rerun, and
they were all the NBC execs were in the studio
because they didn't think that this shit was gonna come
together in time, right down to the very last minute.
Now I'm not giving away any spoilers because we know
how it ended. It went on the air, but the
John Belushi did not sign his contract with like a

(07:53):
half hour to go, and they had to go find him.
He was in a bar down the street, like Laura
Michaels had to leave the studio, like all chaos had ensued.
It's called Saturday Night, and it's worth it good.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
Ninety minutes, it really is. I love Saturday Night. I
thought it was a little hokey.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
They do. They do give you great.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Storylines from like how they how it began and how
it almost didn't begin.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
So that was a good person. I agree with that.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
What about you, Scotty be Oh well, you know, I'm
a huge, huge fan of Acapulco. I'm very sad that
this is the last season wrapped up. You know, Fernando
Carso he was up here, Memo he was here, and Elvis,
your buddy, you know Cord that you were drinking with,
he's in there. It's just it's such a great It's

(08:38):
like I tear up from it a little bit. Like
Memo he had his baby.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
In this last season. And it's really you know she's
pregnant too, Well, you know she's pregnant.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
You're the worst, You're the worst. Anyway, is fabulous and
you should see it. It's it's fun, that's the thing.
It's a great escape show in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Do you agree with that? Yes?

Speaker 5 (09:02):
And it's that's on Apple TV Plus.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
And it went to plus.

Speaker 8 (09:05):
They're getting it, still says.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Plus right now?

Speaker 5 (09:08):
Yeah, so and when isn't Ted Lasso coming back?

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Also, they're filming right now. They're filming right now, are.

Speaker 8 (09:14):
But this is gonna be different because I think they're
basing this season on a women's team, right, it's a
little gonna be different.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Well, if it's the same writers, same producers, it's going
to be fabulous, exact.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
And I got to catch up on the Morning Show too.

Speaker 5 (09:26):
I haven't seen The.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Morning Show is incredible, loving that too. I got to
catch up.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
I get I'm gonna give you one more. And I've
talked about it before. It's called The Gentleman.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
It came out in twenty nineteen, twenty twenty somewhere around there,
and it's Guy Ritchie produced directed.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
It's in fantastic.

Speaker 8 (09:40):
I love that one. And that's coming up for another season.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
I think, yeah, not untill twenty twenty six, sometimes so
next year. But the Gentleman, if you haven't watched the series,
it really is a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
It's awesome, and that guy's freaking hot. What's that actor's name?

Speaker 8 (09:55):
I forget, but I yes, I can see him in
my head.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
James, Yes, yeah, he was in the first he was
white lotus.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
I think he's a baby.

Speaker 8 (10:01):
You may have to watch it though, with subtitles because
sometimes it's hard to understand what they're saying, so do it.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
But it's so cleverly written, and it's funny, and his
brother is hilarious, and we'll leave it off for that,
all right, So we've got stuff to watch. Have a
great day. Thanks for listening.
