Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the morning show around the room.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
What's on the minds of people in the room, Danielle,
want to start with you. What's going on?

Speaker 3 (00:09):
All right?

Speaker 1 (00:10):
So every single morning I see the Broadway Theater on
my way to the station. That's where The Great Gatsby
is playing, and every single day I go, gosh, I
haven't gotten to see that one yet. Well I got
to finally see it this weekend. And let me tell
you something. It is Broadway. You know the Broadway show
from back in the day with the glitz and the
glam and the costumes, And that's what The Great Gatsby is.

(00:32):
It's such a wonderful Broadway experience. And if you've never
seen the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, I mean you need
to see it.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
It's a great story.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
It is a great story. It's a little bit of
a sad story, but it is a great story. And
right now we saw Ryan McCartin as a Gatsby, who
is phenomenal. He's amazing. But Jeremy Jordan is coming in soon,
so I'm gonna have to go back and see him.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
He's gonna be doing it soon.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
So if you want a big Broadway show to go see,
that's the one to go see.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
Right now.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
I'm telling you it's great.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Every day you say, you know what, the one show
you need to see? Different show every day.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
The problem, my problem is is that when I go
see another show that I'm just like, oh my gosh,
I really like this one too. Like they're all so good,
and I get so sad when one closes because a
lot of times they don't give enough time to the
show to let more people see it. But that's just
how it works.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Well they run out of money.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Yeah, a lot of them are so fence housd Right.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
So now this week's Flava Flavor of the day is
the great guestbe I want to see it. Hey, Frogg,
get what's up with you today?

Speaker 5 (01:30):
So as you know, a week from today, I have
my golf tournament to raise money for the Brain in
You's a foundation, And that's usually every year I see
doctor Hoe, the neurosurgeon that saved my life. But on Saturday,
we were at the Gator game and I said to Caden,
I was with my son. I said, you know, I
should text doctor Hoe and see if he's here and
then I got sidetracked and distracted and everything else. And

(01:52):
the next thing I know, somebody taps me on my shoulder.
I turn around.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
It was doctor Hoe. How cool is that?

Speaker 5 (01:58):
We just happened to be one row in front of
him and four seats down in this stadium of sixty
five thousand people, and he walked over. I hugged him
and kind of attacked him like I do every time
I see him. I think them were saving my wife.
And I said, Doctor Hoe, if it weren't for you,
I wouldn't have days like these with Kate. I said, so,
thank you again. Kate hugged him. It was great to
see him. But I'll see him again next Monday.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Thanks to doctor Hoe. We're celebrating your fiftieth birthday next week.
We are, yes, that's this weekend or next weekend? It
is this weekend. I keep messing that up.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Did you book the wrong fight again?

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I don't know possible. Hey, I'm producer Sam, what's up
with you?

Speaker 6 (02:35):
Truly, one of the most valuable things I feel like
in my life is personal connection. I don't think I
do really well on group chats. I'm medium with big
group hangs, but I love one on ones and on
Friday for our event, I kind of like psyched myself up,
you know, don't get anxious whatever, don't get nervous. So
many listeners, we have the best listeners came up and
we had like one on one moments and very personal

(02:56):
connections and conversations and it just felt so thinking good.
So it's a reminder mostly to myself, but anyone else
you can make a personal connection out of any very
big kind of gathering. And that was a really great
reminder from me. I guess it was. So it was
so nice.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
And by the way, if you were one of the
many people over eight hundred people who came to our
event at the New York City Wine Food Festival Friday night,
thank you. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
It's amazing to night.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Except for when we sang you know, I was hiding
behind you Elvis the whole time. By the way, you
guys really let me down. So I don't know this
song it was. There was a scream with the words
right there.

Speaker 7 (03:32):
I tried, I have a microphone, Oh god, no, no,
it again, and.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I would sing somebody okay, you guys sing along, and
it was like miss music. I'm like, it's scary. What's up?

Speaker 3 (03:44):
So I reaseled my way into the SNL after party
on Saturday night, and U, of course, so Bria Carpenter
was the host and the musical guest. I had a
quick chance to catch up with her and I got
to tell you she and I'm happy to report she
is every bit as humble and gracious today as she
was when we first met her all those years ago.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Uh, why is everybody looking at me like that? I
love hearing that we're just looking at you name name dropping.
But I'm just That was my weekend.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
We hung out, we had it and by the way, I.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Did not approach her. She broke the circle of my
friends and approached me. It gave me the hugget of kiss.
I swear on everything. I believe she's always liked that.
She's the best. I love that you got to get
Cordy knew.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Everybody knows us.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
We've known her since she was a little kid. Thank you, Hey,
uh straight and eight? What's up with you?

Speaker 8 (04:44):
Mine is related to Sam? And then you're quick around
the room. Elvis, Thank you to everybody that came out
on Friday night. It was great to see so many
people that listened to us see them in person. People
drove from Ohio, people drove from Maryland to.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Come see us. How crazy is that?

Speaker 8 (05:01):
It's insane awesome. So thank you so much for coming
out if you decided to. And next year will it
be even bigger and better?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
I'll tell you. New York City Wine and Food Festival
was just a lot of fun this year.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
It was great so that the weather was perfect too,
They got a great weather weekend.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
What's up, Gandhi?

Speaker 7 (05:14):
I wanted to talk about this event too because I
want to apologize to some of our listeners and thank
Danielle all for the same thing. So you know, when
you're in these huge groups and we have this little
side area to ourselves, we all put our stuff down
over there. So I put my stuff down. When we
got off of our judging panel, I went to get it.
I could not find my purse. So you know, when
you can't find your pursory wallet, you immediately just go

(05:34):
into the zone where all you're trying to do is
find that thing. Yes, I was looking all over. I
went back to the stage where we were to try
and find it, and on the way, a lot of
listeners are trying to stop and have a conversation, but
I was just like in the zone. So I'm like,
hold on, I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
I'll be right back.

Speaker 7 (05:48):
I come back panicking. Danielle in her hands has my purse,
and I love her so much forgetting it and finding
it and keeping it for me. And then I went
back to find all the listeners and I couldn't find
them because people were clearing out. So I felt really bad,
like I was a jackass to some people. So I'm
sorry if you were one of them. I couldn't find
my purse. Thank you, Danielle.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
I love You're the best sister ever.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Love you leave her purse alone.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
No, no, no, there was no one left up at
that podium.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Where we were, okay, no one steals pers Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
I was like, I gotta takes in New York.

Speaker 7 (06:21):
I was like, sweaty, I'm like, no, this is the
life flashes.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Yes, we had such a great night and thanks to
our friendly scheger for inviting us to the New York
City Wine Food Festival. He said he had a great
time with us as well. Fun and we saw him
again last night, had dinner with him last night too.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
