Well, do we have any guests today? There's Senior Nate,
just Elvis Duran. Oh god, that's all we need. Hey,
we're all the way out to dinner last night and
this song came on on the mix. What is it
about this Kelly Rowland song? You know David Gatta produced it.
When Love Takes Over? Don't you love this song again?
All right, well, let's wake up. What a great song.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I love that song. Welcome to the day.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
It is Wednesday, the day before our favorite day of

Speaker 10 (02:16):
I'm not giving you guys a twenty four hour heads
up to ruin it.

Speaker 7 (02:19):
He is not stupid anyway, me that way.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
I mean, I'm stupid, but no, that's so Danielle. Look
at this banana I'm eating today. It is a black
bruised banana, like way you and I like it.

Speaker 7 (02:29):
It's perfect. It's sweet and lovely.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
I know, so no one else on the show likes
and it appreciates a good old black bruise banan like you.
I love the big black bananas.

Speaker 7 (02:38):
A lot of people throw it away when it looks
like that. I'm like, throw it away. That's the best
time to eat it.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Just getting good. Look at Scotty's banana, it's all speckled.

Speaker 10 (02:47):
You is just about done.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
I'll eat them today.

Speaker 7 (02:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Yeah, I don't like them.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Super sweet like him, Breen.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
I like.

Speaker 8 (02:52):
I like them yellow, just yellow yellow.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, yellow banana.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
I guess that really is. That's the natural look of banana.

Speaker 12 (02:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Hey, our first call of the day up in the Bronx.
It's Danny.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
It is the first day of nurses Week. Now, why
is nurses Week starting on a Wednesday?

Speaker 13 (03:08):
That's a great question.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Well, you know what, I guess it makes sense because
a lot of nurses, you know, they don't have on
Monday through Friday job. As you know, a lot of
nurses are like, you know, Wednesdays there Monday. Sometimes I
guess maybe I'm trying to.

Speaker 13 (03:27):
So we're all over the place.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
So Danny says he actually actually went to nursing school
and listened to us every day. We got Danny through
nursing school, we got Danny through COVID, we got Danny
through the nurses strike. We've been there with you. How
is it being a nurse?

Speaker 14 (03:42):
Danny?

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Are you loving it?

Speaker 13 (03:44):
I love it. It's my dream job. I did it
later in my life and I am very very happy.
I get to make my own schedule, I get to
help people, and I work in the city.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
I grew up in there, you go, what's about the life.

Speaker 13 (04:01):
And I also I also like my banana very black
as well.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Now that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (04:08):
That got the biggest chair, not that he's following in the.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Dreams and helping people.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
It's about Danny's bananas, big black banana.

Speaker 13 (04:15):
I mean, hey, it's about the little things in life.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Yeah, let me ask you this, Danny. What made you?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
You said a little bit later in life, you decided
to pivot, as they say, to being a nurse. What
made you do that? What made you go, wait a minute,
it's time to roll into nursing?

Speaker 5 (04:32):
Well, uh, it was it.

Speaker 13 (04:35):
I was doing things that I just didn't like, and
I think he just found my calling and COVID really
brought that ahead.

Speaker 15 (04:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (04:41):
I had a partner that was a medical field and
everything just clicked and I went to school. It was
perfect time to go back to school. I had more
time and one thing with another.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
And now I'm here.

Speaker 7 (04:52):
Can I ask where in the Bronx you work?

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Like?

Speaker 7 (04:54):
What hospital?

Speaker 9 (04:57):
I work?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Uptown?

Speaker 13 (04:58):
That's all I can really say.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Here you go, we'll call it Uptown General Up.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
All right?

Speaker 8 (05:05):
As a nurse, what would you like all patients to
know when they come in.

Speaker 13 (05:12):
That we're there for them and literally we're there for
them and nobody else.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
That's nice?

Speaker 8 (05:18):
Well, oh you're gonna stupy, don't jerks.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Hey, you know what we know for a fact, we
know for a fact that without nurses, the entire medical
field would just crumble.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
And so and.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
You deserve the best. Oh, go ahead, what's that right?

Speaker 13 (05:35):
When someone goes to the hospital, it's the worst day
in their life. So we understand somebody might be crabby,
somebody might not want something, you know, like when you're sick,
you just want to stay in good and no one
bothers you. But we're there to give you your medicine and
make sure we take care of you.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
There you go, and we appreciate it very much. Hey,
come on, Nate, don't be stingy. What do you have
for nurse Danny? How about the full elvisduranaparel line.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Danny.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
It's wow, it is full. It's full for us. It's
all we have, Danielle.

Speaker 10 (06:07):
So we got that's all we got?

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Yeah, all right, well can you putting some all in there?

Speaker 10 (06:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:15):
And by the way, and before we say thank you
and have a great day, Danny, we have to say,
of course you were talking about talking about COVID. We
really truly got to love and appreciate nurses more than
ever during COVID. You know, we were here every single
day just like you guys had to show up, but
you showed up in a whole different set of circumstances
than we did. But we appreciate We appreciate you so much.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Thank you, Danny. Thanks for listening to us.

Speaker 13 (06:39):
Thank you, guys, Really you guys. I've been listening to
you since oh, twenty five years ago, back when Elvis
and Elliott was on the radio.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Oh my god, those were the days. Those were the days.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
All right, Danny, thank you again, and give all the
all the nurses on the floor our best.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Okay, we appreciate it. Well, thank you. There you go.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Nurses Week starts today on a It's also teachers Week.
I've got something for donors, choose and teachers later. I
think we're gonna be making it rain. Oh wow, we're
gonna make it. We're gonna make it rain in the classroom.
All right, let's get into the three things we need
to know with Gandhi, which going Ondhi.

Speaker 8 (07:16):
President Trump is being accused of backing down in the
Strait of horm moves by Iranian state media. Yesterday, Trump
said the US was pausing its military operation Project Freedom,
which was intended to help guide commercial ships through that
critical waterway. Iran responded to the news on state run media,
claiming the US failed to achieve its objectives in horm
moves and that Trump called off the operation following firm

(07:37):
positions and warnings from Iran. Trump said he was pausing
the operation because of progress being made in diplomatic talks.
Robert Kennedy Junior is launching a new initiative targeting psychiatric medications.
Kennedy announced the initiative during a Make America Healthy Again
summit on mental health and over medicalization, as he seeks
a boost and de prescribing antidepressants. According to the HHS Secretary,

(08:02):
the move will support patient autonomy, required information consent, require
information consents, and shared decision making, and shift that standard
of care toward prevention, transparency, and a more holistic approach
to mental health. And Finally, Delta Airlines is ending its
snacks on short distance flights.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
What is going on?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
I means drinks?

Speaker 6 (08:25):
Right?

Speaker 8 (08:26):
Yes, everything is getting worse.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (08:29):
Starting May nineteenth, Economy passengers on flights under three hundred
and fifty miles will not get snacks in flight meals
or drinks.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
You can bring your own though, right it will sure
be why out sure cookies that.

Speaker 8 (08:42):
Not happening under three hundred and fifty miles. The change
impacts about four hundred and fifty daily flights, but don't worry,
first class travelers will still get first full service. Another change,
Delta says it will now offer full food and beverage
service to its comfort and main having customers on flights
between three hundred and fifty and four hundred and ninety

(09:03):
nine miles.

Speaker 7 (09:05):
So I'm just thinking of the devilwarest part of two.
There's a very funny, funny scene between first class and Economy.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Don't ruin it tell you.

Speaker 7 (09:14):
I'm not gonna tell you what happens, but it's very funny.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Got another reason I gotta go see this movie?

Speaker 5 (09:19):
Yees?

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Are those my three things? Are you ready for your Wednesday?
Let's go out?

Speaker 9 (09:25):
That's funny to me, it's funny. Do you have a
sense of humor?

Speaker 16 (09:28):

Speaker 9 (09:45):
Family, Elvis Duran in the Morning show.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
You know, it's been in the headlines for about a
year or two now. Alcohol consumption in America has been
on the down.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
It's all the way out, millions of dollars down.

Speaker 9 (10:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
As a matter of fact, that it's a huge industry,
the alcohol industry, and I'm doing everything I can, single
headedly to keep it afloat.

Speaker 7 (10:12):
A gentleman, I mean, to be honest, with the state
of the world, I'm surprised it's not going through the roof.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Well you you wonder why. Okay, Well, we're talking about
the vices. The vices are now on the up right, Okay, Well,
so let's just focus in on alcohol. Beer, by the way,
has gone up in sales for the first time in
three years, I believe here in the United States.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Alcoholic beer.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Yeah, but not alcoholic beer has gone up twenty seven percent. Okay,
but beer and beer in general. And I never really
used to be a big beer drinker. I mean, if
I went to if I had some spicy chili or
something spicy, I would have some beer hot summer days,
you know. But now I find that when I go
to lunch with Alex, for instance, we had lunch yesterday.

(10:57):
He said, I'm of a be Okay, I had a
beer too. I don't drink the whole thing because they
get gassy and start farting and stuff. But I know
I'm drinking more of it. So, Uh, the company that
slings Budweiser, bud Light, Stella and Michel of Ultra, which
is ab in Bev, I believe is what it's called,
and hyser Busch in Bev.

Speaker 13 (11:19):
Right.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Uh, they're saying, yeah. And as we get closer to
summertime this year and the World Cup rolling through, Yeah,
a lot of beer drinking going on. And so you
were talking earlier, Gandhi and Daniel as well about the vices.
We seem to be increasing our abuse or partaking of
the vices, including alcohol.

Speaker 17 (11:40):
Right.

Speaker 8 (11:40):
I think people don't want to live a long time anymore. Right,
being around us is just trash, like the earth is burning.
So people are like, whatever, I'm here for a good time,
not a long time. Give you the cigarette, give me
the beer.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
What do I care?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Right, And we were talking about, you know, babies that
are born today, what kind of world will they be
living in?

Speaker 7 (11:58):
Robbie and I were actually having this conversation. Yes, thinking
about like you know, with AI and all these things,
like when these kids that are born today are teenagers,
like what is this world gonna look like?

Speaker 4 (12:08):
Like?

Speaker 7 (12:08):
Is it gonna be like robots taking over? And like
humans aren't gonna be as needed? I cool, the hell knows?

Speaker 12 (12:13):
What the hell?

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Who cares? We're drinking beer. Have another beer and stop
worrying about it.

Speaker 8 (12:18):
I guess I think the good news is the world
probably won't be here, so it'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Well, I need just try to stay positive on this one.

Speaker 8 (12:25):
That's a positive outcome to me blowing up the earth.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Just go ahead, take me away.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Oh God, Froggy. So you're in this conversation, what are
your thoughts?

Speaker 18 (12:34):
No, I see the same thing. Danielle says that you
see these things online. But there's like humanoid robots that
they're saying are gonna come out and they'll do whatever
you want them to do while you're not home. That
just seems weird. What happens when they take over and
can get rid of.

Speaker 7 (12:47):
Us, right exactly, we don't need you to come home.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
We'll keep stuff from happening. Well, I'll tell you what.
Once the robots take over. Beer consumption will go down. Yeah,
they don't drink beer, don't dream, right, they don't get
beer farts?

Speaker 10 (13:02):
Oh no, no at all.

Speaker 8 (13:03):
It's like, how many movies do we need to see
about this exact scenario to know what could be coming?

Speaker 15 (13:09):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Then just stay away from it.

Speaker 7 (13:10):
There's a new one coming out. I don't know the
name of it, but it's like the zombie apocalypse type thing.
I saw the trailer when we were there the other day,
and the whole earth is destroyed. There's like a little
bit of people left and they're trying to find something
normal to get back in life. And I'm like, why
we don't need a movie like this right now? Like
why are we putting these We're living it?

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Isn't it funny?

Speaker 9 (13:33):
How?

Speaker 2 (13:33):
And I we're talking about doomsday here?

Speaker 1 (13:36):
How every it seems like every single doomsday movie has
one shot of the face and the hand of the
Statue of Liberty.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Like just sinking into this into the open.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
I think she has something to do with this devastation.

Speaker 8 (13:54):
I'm really glad she's right outside my apartment.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Looking at it. She's like one eyeball sticking out of
the river, like, hey, let's get into the horoscopes?

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Who's doing them today?

Speaker 19 (14:06):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (14:06):
I don't want to tell you.

Speaker 20 (14:08):
Ah, Nate, you can't control it.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
You can't control it.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
During Nate comes in, he justifies his profession by doing
the horoscope. Who knew this is where life would go?

Speaker 7 (14:19):
I'm gonna start, don't it?

Speaker 9 (14:20):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (14:20):
Today's birthdays George Clooney, Meek Mill, Gabaret Ciabay, Happy birthday
to them, Taurus. Stability isn't boring today. It's the things
that you can count on that end up carrying you.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Your day is an eight Gemini.

Speaker 20 (14:33):
A stray comment or a forwarded text offers a tiny
clue into what you're seeking. Stay nosy, your day's seven cancer.

Speaker 7 (14:41):
The word boundary sounds harder than it feels once it said.
You'll breathe differently. Your day isn't.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Eight, Leo.

Speaker 20 (14:48):
A small victory puts your shoulders back where they belong. Yeah,
the boost and keep on moving. Your day is a
super six.

Speaker 7 (14:56):
All right, Virgo. There's a difference between being thorough and
building a ma. Please choose the direct path. Your day's
at ten. That is stupid? Who write this crap?

Speaker 10 (15:05):
The stars?

Speaker 20 (15:06):
Okay, Libra, A room can tell you everything. If you
stop listening only to words, read the vibes. Your days
of six all.

Speaker 7 (15:15):
Right, Scorpio. Subtext carries its own megaphone today. What people
avoid is just as important as what they say.

Speaker 20 (15:20):
Your day a nine Sagittarius. Your focus isn't broken, It
just wants a different rhythm. Work in sparks when you
feel inspired. Your Days of.

Speaker 7 (15:28):
Nine Cappagorn today favors routine. The more boring the method,
the better the result.

Speaker 20 (15:33):
Your days an eight Aquarius. You don't need a five
year plan by lunch. One step is enough for now.
Your day a fantastic five pieces.

Speaker 7 (15:42):
Before you call it confusion, try calling it proximity. Things
look different from a few feet back.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Your days of seven and aries.

Speaker 20 (15:50):
You keep asking the universe for a green light while
standing in the road holding all the keys. It's go time, baby,
Your days of nine? Oh god, Nate, really are your
Wednesday morning horse? Oh my god, it's co time baby.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
It's so weird, Daniel, what do you have coming up?

Speaker 7 (16:07):
Now? You can see concerts in movie theaters, and one
Marvel director says we need to really get over the
fear of spoilers.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
Wow, what the whole point of a movie.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
What's the what does this mean?

Speaker 2 (16:21):
What's he saying?

Speaker 1 (16:22):
You'll see stupid director, idiot. I'll tell you what that folks.
That's bloody nice.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
Yeah, yeah, that's the time of the day.

Speaker 9 (16:31):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show. This is Elvis Duran

Yeah, Nate's been studying this, He's been getting me up

I mean I didn't mean Norwegian as in you know
where you're from. I mean Norwegian cruise line friends. Thousands
of people have already entered this thing. You know what,
We hear winners on our show every day. Someone's gonna wine.
So if you want to win, go to Elvis Duran
dot com. Yeah, you have something else you want to do?
Really great.

Speaker 5 (19:30):
You know.

Speaker 20 (19:30):
Growing up, it was my parents and three boys and
we always had it. Whenever we took a trip, it
was all of us, the five of us in one room.
We never got our own room, so it was like
you're crammed in there. There's five people trying to use
the bathroom. This is awesome. The fact that you get
a couple of rooms and cram the kids in one. Yeah,
I mean, daddy, do whatever they want to put the kids.

Speaker 7 (19:49):
In one room and mommy and daddy got a room.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Right absolutely down.

Speaker 7 (19:55):
And then the next trip there's another kid.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Whoa there you are lots of stuff going on. Don't
bother knocking. If this Norwegian ship is rocking anyway, I don't.
I would like to use the word cram And then
because there's so much room and when you're a kid,
you loved like look, I'm not saying you should do this,
but you know, jumping on the beds and stuff.

Speaker 8 (20:15):
Absolutely, I still do. That's the first thing I do
when I go into a hotel.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Room, wreaking have it. Yeah, Gandhi spent the night over
last night. Yeah, and uh she was jumping on the bed.
I heard I heard something squeaking and you weren't in
there with anyone. So again, if you want four nights
on Norwegian getaway and you want to get out there
and go to Great Stirrup, k enjoy it before almost
anyone else, simply sign up to win at Elvis durand
dot Comics right there? All right, Dan, Yeah, now start

(20:40):
with that story that I was curious about.

Speaker 7 (20:42):
Which one, Oh, the one about the spoilers. Yes, okay,
so we know people don't like spoilers. America really hates
spoilers apparently than any of.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
That's why America hates you.

Speaker 7 (20:53):
Yes, so, Mark director Joe Russo thinks that, you know,
it's really time for us to not care as much.
He and his brother Anthony have Avengers Doomsday coming up
in December, and he says it's going to be impossible
to keep everything quiet. He said, on one hand, audiences

(21:14):
really want to be surprised, and that's part of what
makes the theatrical experience really exciting, he said. On the
other hand, it becomes a literal a little over policed,
where people are getting anxious about not engaging in anything
like I don't want to look online, or I don't
want to see this, or I don't.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
Want to look at that.

Speaker 7 (21:32):
He says. You cannot control everything. You have to focus
on making something that holds up beyond the initial surprise.
So if you do see a spoiler, you still want
to see the movie because the movie is gonna be
that good.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
This is gaslighting.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
It's your fault. You're finding out what's going on.

Speaker 13 (21:48):
Right.

Speaker 7 (21:49):
This is one of the guys from Avengers Doomsday. He's
one of the big guys, the big ques.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Well, the big guy, miss misspoke.

Speaker 8 (21:57):
It sounds like he's just trying to shirk the responsibility.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Yeah, it's our responsibility. It's our duty to protect others.
Don't spoil things.

Speaker 7 (22:06):
Right, Nate, you hear that.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
I got it? Okay, you hear that, Danielle, Yes.

Speaker 7 (22:10):
If you actually makes the bigger spoiler.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Oh, miss devil is proud of this morning spoiler.

Speaker 7 (22:16):
Oh shut up? Okay if you speaking of this is working.
You have live music, but you hate going to a
concert because it's too expensive or it's inconvenient. AMC theaters
are going to start showing live concerts, So the next
venture is called Arena One at AMC. Tickets are going
to arrange from forty to seventy five and it starts

(22:39):
next month. Bb Rexel will be doing a show on
June seventeenth. Wow, Paris Hilton will be doing a show
on the eighteenth. Maren Morris will be doing a show.
More shows will be announced soon and The concerts will
be streamed to more than three hundred AMC locations in
eighty nine markets across the country. So that's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
It's pretty cool, all right.

Speaker 7 (22:57):
Yesterday the nominees for the seventy ninth and well Tony
Awards were announced and the winners will be revealed June seventh.
Leading the pack the Lost Boys and Schmidgadoon with twelve
nominations each. You've got Ragtime up there, Cat's the jelical Ball,
the Rocky Horror Show. Notable snubs Liam Michelle for Chess.
That was like one of the big snubs yesterday, so

(23:18):
that was kind of crazy. And this is pretty cool.
Every woman in the lead role in a musical category.
It is their first time ever being nominated. And this
one's for the theater geeks, because I geeked out yesterday
that three former alphabets from Wicked are nominated for Tony's
this year. One of them's in Lost Boys, ones in Schmigadoon,
and ones in Ragtime. So very exciting for us a

(23:40):
little theater geeks out there. Yesterday was a very exciting day,
all right. Are you still searching for that special Mother's
Day gift?

Speaker 20 (23:46):
Well?

Speaker 7 (23:47):
Cameo might be where you want to look. They have
partnered with dozens of musicians who will create custom videos
for your mom. So if your mom was an n
SYNC fan, Chris Kirkpatrick is there, Lances is also there,
Neo is there, Flavor Flave is there, Mark McGrath from
Sugar Ray, and some. You know, some will be a

(24:07):
little more expensive, like Neo's four hundred bucks. Lance is
like almost three hundred bucks, but Mark McGrath is eighty
five bucks. So if your mom likes Sugar Ray, that
might be where you go for the Mother's Day gift.
I know we kind of touched upon this yesterday we
were joking, but Timothy Shallomey really did skip the Get
Met gala for the second year in a row to
see the Knicks game.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
So good, you know what, he should he should have that, right.

Speaker 7 (24:30):
He is that much of a Knicks fan and last
year just it's always around the same time. So he
did it last year, he did it again this year, So.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
There you go.

Speaker 7 (24:38):
Tonight, we also have NBA Playoffs continuing. You've got the
Knicks and the seventy six ers, You've got the Spurs
and the Timberwolves going at it. You also have on
fallon the Rolling Stones. He has them on for three
nights tonight, tomorrow and the next week because they have
a new album on the way. I think it's like
their twenty fifth album. How crazy is that? And if
you're a Chicago med Fire pet, your Chicago shows all

(25:00):
on tonight. And that's my Danielle report.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Thank you, Danielle.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
All right, Look, it is National Teacher's Day a week
or a week I think, or a month, I don't know.
The teachers and the nurses should have an entire year,
every year should be devoted to them. So, as you know,
there's an organization that we love called donors Choose, and
you can actually donate money that helps teachers bring supplies

(25:25):
and things into their classroom. Things the school system isn't
always paying for. As a matter of fact, a lot
of teachers pay for things out of their own pose.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
It's outrageous.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
I know, it's insane. But you can help out with
donors Choose. So we are doing this and we do
it every year. During Teachers Week, we are going to
take a trip, take a trip over to to a
DonorsChoose dot org and choose some teachers and contribute some
money today, So on behalf of the August Dry Morning Show.
Speaking of myself in the third person, we are donating

(25:58):
ten thousand dollars today. Oh my god to classrooms across America.
If you go to donors choose dot org slash Elvis.
Where's Elvis Durant? Oh god, what is it? Okay, donors
choose dot org slash Elvis. Go there now, Oh like

(26:19):
it's Elvis Duran gives back. You know, I don't like
that line. It makes it sound as if I've taken something. Yeah,
it does.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Elvis Duran gives back.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Well, what did he take?

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Why?

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Why does he Why does he feeling the need to
give back? Did he steal something from people?

Speaker 20 (26:40):
I picture you in a kindergarten, like mustling a crayon
away from a child?

Speaker 2 (26:46):
What is the big cans of powdered paint? Was it
temper paint?

Speaker 19 (26:50):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yeah, I stole some of those. So Elvis Duran gives back.
So go to donors choose dot org slash el this.
If you're a teacher, sign your your schoolroom up, your
classroom up, and we could be donating to you. We
can't donate to everyone, because well that's a lot of money.
We don't have, but we're gonna do our best to

(27:11):
choose at random. As a matter of fact, if your
classroom does not get chosen, it's Andrew's fault. Oh wow,
He's in charge of choosing his classroom.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
Get on his Instagram. He on his Instagram.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
I've done enough. I've done enough. I'm giving back. I
don't know what I'm giving back, but I'm giving back.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
For some reason.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
So again, go to elvit No, no, no, go to DonorsChoose
dot org slash Elevis Elvis Duran.

Speaker 7 (27:34):
He just keeps opening his mouth.

Speaker 9 (27:36):
And in the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
If you want a Mother's Day gift that actually feels special,
you gotta go with jewelry. Macy's has fashion watches like
everyone's wearing these days from brands like Saiko and a
lot more, and right now, get twenty to sixty five
percent off fine jewelry at Macy's. Mother's Day is Sunday,
May tenth. Go to Macy's for everything you need to celebrate.

Speaker 9 (28:00):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
By the way, thank you so much for all the
texts at fifty five one hundred, especially from teachers who
want us to donate to their classrooms through donors Shoes.
That's not how you sign up to do it. You
have to go to donors Shoes dot org, slash elvis.
A lot of people are sending links to our text.
We can't link over from text. Excuse me, Hey, can

(28:22):
we talk.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
About one of our own.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Let's talk about Bbrexa for just a moment. Bbrexa, of
course from Staten Island. You know that beautiful, beautiful island
off the coast of Bayonne, New Jersey, where my husband's from.
And we love Staten Island. It's such a colorable part
and a very important part of New York City. Yeah,

(28:43):
there's that too, and there, Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
So anyway, Bbrexa so talented. You know, not only is
she an amazing writer of music lyrics, but also performer.
And she has worked her ass for how many years?
I mean she talk about talking about paying dues right,
and she used to write songs for people before she

(29:08):
even started performing, exactly doing it forever. So about nineteen
hours ago, she posted this on Instagram. It's a video
of her makeup running in tears, and she says, wow,
look at it's just a sad thing. She says, it

(29:29):
was January twenty fifth, twenty twenty five, when I recorded
me crying. That was the day I found out the
label I was signed to for twelve years officially decided
to part ways with me. She didn't know what she
was gonna do. She's like, well, the label won't even
support me. I don't have anyone supporting me. What do

(29:49):
I do? As an artist? In this business? It helps
to have a label behind you, but she found out
that's not always necessarily true. She decided to do it
on her own. She bankrolled her own projects. She started
reaching out on her own to make contact with other
musicians and other artists to get her music off the
pad into outer space where she deserves it. So that

(30:13):
brings up us up to today about a year later. Right,
there's a song called New Religion by bb rexa our friend.
It just made number one on the Billboard US Dance
Airplay Chart and US Dance Radio Airplay Chart. Yes, yes,
and she says New Religion is number one. First, I

(30:35):
want to say to the fans, this isn't just my win,
this is our win. This means more to me than
any other accolade I've ever received. Because I'm going through
this on my own terms. I went independent. It was scary.
I honestly thought it was over for me in my career.
I know that sounds dramatic. For the last seven years
they were a battle. I was suffering in silence. But

(30:55):
now I'm free as my own artist. I'm free and
surrounded by people who celebrate and uplift me. So let's
be a part of that celebration. So let me play
a number one song from our friend Biby Rexa. This
is new Religion.

Speaker 9 (31:17):
The Brooklyn Boys podcast.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
But Michael rappaportsia now finally six months, six months. We've
been waiting for you, buddy.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
But you know why.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
It's brody and scary and not scary and brody because
Scary didn't want me on his podcast. You it's brody
and scary. That's the way it needs.

Speaker 21 (31:33):
Listen to the Brooklyn Boys podcast on the iHeartRadio apps,
Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Elvister ran
in the Morning Show. Elvister ran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
It's a morning ritual. We have to go to the
vending machine room and get this peanut butter and jelly
sandwich with cornola Theta. It's crunchy cornola with peanut butter
and jelly on a sandwich. I've never heard of this
in my life.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
I'm addicted so good. Anyway, I just want to let
you know. It's it's what we do every day. This
is how boring our lives are. Whoa god, what a
day would you do today? What exciting thing? What exhilarating
thing did you experience? The piano ban and jelly with granola?

Speaker 4 (32:14):
Good God, I'm excited.

Speaker 8 (32:16):
I got a cup of noodles today.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
A cup of sodium. Yeah, that's Daniel's favorite. Danielle, Daniel
loves those cup of yeahdium. It's so good.

Speaker 10 (32:26):
It is.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
It's a cup sodium stop and it's got great.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
I know.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
He's got a photo of the of the sodium soup
on the front and it says chicken and then the
little tiny letters flavor flavor chicken good chicken flavor. I
don't want flavor, Like do they like the chi They
ring it out, They moistened it and ring the chicken out.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
It's like powder, some sort of powder.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
You know, chickens have powder.

Speaker 8 (32:51):
But I'm really glad they're not actual chunks of chicken
in here because it just sits on the shelf dry.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
What kind of chicken would that be?

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Well, I don't know anyway.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
So that's our breakfast, the breakfast of champions. Hey, okay,
let's talk about this Donors Choose thing. As you know,
today is kicking off. No, no, No one says Nurses Day
is kicking off today on our Wednesday. No, it's teachers
Week and month and year. We love our teachers. Donors
Choose takes money from us and you that we give
to our teachers. It sends it into the classroom and

(33:20):
they actually purchase the supplies that teachers need. They'll send
them the cash, they actually purchase the supplies and ship
them to the teachers. All right, So I sort of
screwed up the explanation on how to get your classroom
represented on donors shoes At DonorsChoose dot org slash Elvis.
You can go there to give money and we encourage

(33:42):
you to do that. Donors Choose dot com slash Elvis. Now,
if you want your teachers your classroom sponsored text us
the information. Andrew's in charge of everything. Andrew take it away. Hi, Hi, Hi.

Speaker 22 (33:56):
So if you have a project on DonorsChoose dot org.
You can submit your link via text right now at
fifty five to one hundred. I will be checking them
and we will be putting that all together. Also, if
you're on donors Choose, you can email me Andrew at
Elvis Duran dot com if you want to send it
that way. Either way, I am I guess the superintendent
of this. Is that above a principle? Yeah, yeah, yeah,

(34:21):
I'm that today, John laying down the law.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Okay, hold on, I have another and I have another
thing to add to the fund.

Speaker 10 (34:27):
Fun.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Hold on, I'm going to DonorsChoose dot org.

Speaker 22 (34:31):
Did you know we've done over seventy thousand dollars of
donations since twenty seventeen.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Yeah, we have.

Speaker 12 (34:37):
I like that.

Speaker 8 (34:37):
I love this term WI. That's very nice that you
use the term WI.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
Well, I do a ten dollars donation every month at
donors Choose.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
Okay, okay, so my suspicions are correct.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
It's match madness going on at DonorsChoose dot org, doubling donations.
They're doubling and matching projects. So when you donate your
money today will be happening. I love it, So get
in their donorshoes dot org, slash Elvis and give now.
If you're a teacher and you want your donors choose

(35:08):
project to be recognized by us, and maybe there's a
slight chance that maybe we will donate money.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Today.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
We're donating ten thousand dollars to a bunch of teachers
today in their classrooms. Text us the information at fifty
five one hundred. This is gonna be really Andrew, this
is gonna be a million things. You have to look
at here.

Speaker 10 (35:26):
I'm excited.

Speaker 8 (35:27):
Ten thousand dollars to one classroom is so much that.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Amazing, Well it's spread out, Jesus, thank you.

Speaker 7 (35:33):
Going Okay, Sometimes these these teachers only need like three
hundred bucks to like really complete the project. And to us,
you know, we may look at it and go, oh,
three hundred bucks, that's easy. To them, that's not easy
everyone to do. That is insane, you know.

Speaker 4 (35:47):
Right, And they have such a tough job. It's thankless.

Speaker 8 (35:49):
They don't have any control over themselves and what they
get to say to people. And then they're spending money
out of their own pocket to try and teach these kids.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
That's incredible.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
So donate now. Donors choose dot org slash elvis. Donate
as much or little as you can. Just do it.
And if your teacher texted fifty five, text your donors
choose link? Can you link over?

Speaker 2 (36:11):
You know how to do that?

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (36:13):
All right, so this is going to be a total show.
Go get it done. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
So we're donating ten thousand dollars across many classrooms today
and proud to do it. This is so exciting. All
right now, Nate, you're the senior executive producer.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
What are we doing here?

Speaker 23 (36:26):
Well?

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Oh, oh my god, he's coughing up dead baby ducks.
We've got a little bit of time to fill here.
Do you have anything you want to talk about there?

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Oh god, I've got a lists you Where do you
want to start? At the top, at the very TV top,
the very beginning.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Place to start? Okay, So, okay, I've found I've found
a story today. You know I love finding stories. Hold on,
hold on, don't leave me. Oh my god, I don't
have paper to rustle today. All right, here it is okay.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
What's the one slang word that has stood the test
of time?

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Now? You can go back for let's just say decades
in our in our case, slang terms like back in
the old day, Old day's groovy.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Or hip or help me out in anyone.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
Even just cool?

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Cool, okay, any.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Other words, any other words, awesome, rad gny, awesome, crunk,
don't forget crunk, dope, dope, dope is good.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
All right, you're saying with stood.

Speaker 8 (37:38):
So it lasted through all the decades, not that it
went away and came back.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
A lot most of those are nowhere to be found.
I love dope still, okay, according to linguists. By the way,
did anyone get any good linguist last night? That's a
good drag queen named Connie linguists the word ready for

(38:02):
the snate. The word cool has officially stood the test
of time. Was any other.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
Did you know?

Speaker 1 (38:09):
We've been saying the word cool in slang manner for
more than one hundred years, and somehow every generation still
uses the word cool.

Speaker 8 (38:18):
That doesn't even feel like slang. It just feels like
the word you're supposed to use when something is cool.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
It is cool, Yeah, cool, cool, There you go, that's
so cool.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
I mean a lot of slang comes and goes.

Speaker 4 (38:29):
What are the other ones?

Speaker 10 (38:31):
Well?

Speaker 2 (38:31):
I just have cool?

Speaker 4 (38:32):
Oh okay.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
Part of the reason is how flexible cool is it
can describe someone who's laid back. Hey, yeah she's cool,
or stylish, yeah he a dresses so cool or impressive,
Well that was cool, that felt good, that was cool,
or just likable. You can say, oh cool.

Speaker 24 (38:54):
You know.

Speaker 10 (38:54):
It's like the Swiss army knife of slang.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
Right, yeah, it really is.

Speaker 8 (38:58):
And you can also just use it for okay, okay,
you want to go somewhere.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
Letter And I know when when Nate gets all anal
and nasty, look.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Hey, are we cool?

Speaker 6 (39:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (39:08):
Are we cool?

Speaker 1 (39:09):
Were cool? And he says yes because he's a product
of denial. But anyway, but are we cool? Are we cool?

Speaker 2 (39:16):
Is a good one? Scary? Yes?

Speaker 25 (39:19):
I think another one would be wasted, like when you're
getting wasted.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
Yeah, okay, well we're talking about cool right now.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
We're only on cool. Yeah, we're only on cool because
this is this is the this is the blue the
blue ribbon winter. We'll go to waste it in a moment,
if we, if you must, How about cool wrench doritos? Okay,
now what is the cool describing in cool wrench Doritos?

Speaker 4 (39:40):
Is a ranch.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
It's a cool ranch.

Speaker 4 (39:42):
I think it's describing the ranch.

Speaker 7 (39:43):
And it's got cool. It's got a cool taste too.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
It's a cool taste of cool ranch fresh taste.

Speaker 7 (39:49):
Although your breath is kicking after, but you know, it's
got a fresh taste.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
So think about it. Your grandparents, your parents, your kids
all agree cool, it's still cool.

Speaker 20 (40:00):
I think my grandparents were saying cool in the same
sense that I say cool. So right, it's back in
the thirties, So let's go back one hundred years. So
let's go back to your nineteen twenty six. Who was
around back then? I mean we're talking about, right, what
year was the stock market crashed? Not cool, not very not.

(40:22):
They're like, oh god, this isn't cool. Right before they
jumped off that building on Wall Street.

Speaker 4 (40:26):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 8 (40:27):
I looked up slang from the nineteen twenties.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Okay, nineteen twenties. I bet Nate knows half of these were.

Speaker 4 (40:34):
Nate uses some of these to be honest.

Speaker 20 (40:36):
Yeah, yeah, well, like wasted, you'd be getting good and tight,
getting drunk, getting right.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
Hello, Okay, sounds I've never heard that one before.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
That is not on the list.

Speaker 20 (40:48):
It's in a lot of hemingway. He got good and
tight last night. Oh my god, it sounds like it
sounds like a fun night.

Speaker 8 (40:55):
Some of the words were for cool, the beasneyes, which
is always fine because I don't.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
Think bees have knees. Yeah, the cat's pajamas.

Speaker 1 (41:03):
I love that one, top drawer.

Speaker 4 (41:07):
Top drawers.

Speaker 8 (41:09):
Another one, what about the berries? Apparently that's that means cool.

Speaker 1 (41:14):
That sounds like someone scrowed that's the berries.

Speaker 4 (41:16):
Yeah, kind of it does.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
He's the marryings, giggle water.

Speaker 8 (41:21):
You know that was I think you can think of.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
It booze I gueseah. I love that.

Speaker 7 (41:25):
That's actually really cute. You're drinking the giggle water. That's
so cute to say to somebody did.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
Not stand the test of time. Then to bring that back,
come on, let's do it single handedly.

Speaker 8 (41:35):
I think these are some of the ones that Nate
still uses for nonsense apple sauce or poppy cock, baloney bunk,
and whoy oho.

Speaker 1 (41:48):
Just recently, No Scary was telling me a story. Was
it just a load of hooey? You use the word
WHOI yes, I use that. I don't know why I
use these words. I had to look it up.

Speaker 4 (42:02):
What he does, I'm sure I've heard him say, no is.

Speaker 10 (42:08):
A hullaballoo sometimes is that good?

Speaker 2 (42:11):
What does that mean?

Speaker 1 (42:12):
It's it's like like a coffinist loud party that doesn't
have much organization. It's that's all.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
There's a lot of company going on here. I agree.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
I do love the word or cacophony. Can you use
it that way as well? Yes, okay, just making sure.

Speaker 20 (42:29):
You made me feel like it'd be a cacophony, but
it could be caffin.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Yes, I just felt like and we cough up coffin this.

Speaker 4 (42:36):
Oh god, Nathan caffin all day?

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Okay, scary.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
Just googled the top twenty slang words that stood the
test of time without the listeners.

Speaker 2 (42:44):
Just do ten please wait ahead?

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Uh cool, hip, dig groovy, dude, slow down, slow down.

Speaker 4 (42:51):
Hip did not stand the test of time.

Speaker 1 (42:53):
I don't care.

Speaker 8 (42:53):
Yeah, whenever anyone says hip, I'm like, okay, Grandpa, get
out of here.

Speaker 11 (42:56):
Dude, chill, hang out, bummer, awesome, sucks, beat, busted, bogus.

Speaker 8 (43:07):
Okay, are these just in alphabetical order?

Speaker 25 (43:09):
No, not at all. Jerk scam props, no brainer.

Speaker 7 (43:14):
Some of the people still say, you know, okay, let's
talk about words.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
We want to go away, bro bro bro froggy. You
like br Yeah, bro, br But Bro, I get weirded out.
I'm still maybe just because I'm an old guy. When
someone calls a woman a bro. Yeah, I don't. It
doesn't compete with me, but but it happens all the time.

Speaker 4 (43:40):
Yeah, Bro, I like bro.

Speaker 7 (43:43):
Do you know back in the nineteen hundreds, if if
someone was lying to you and you didn't want them to,
you would say, don't sell me a dog, don't lie
to me, sell me a.

Speaker 8 (43:57):
Dog, or the words of my hair. Oh, judge, judy,
don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.

Speaker 4 (44:02):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (44:03):
Yeah, in Texas, it's like, don't piss in my boots
and tell me as train.

Speaker 4 (44:06):
I love that one.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
I love it all right? So cool? Do we all agree?

Speaker 1 (44:10):
Cool is still cool?

Speaker 3 (44:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (44:12):
Girl's cool.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
We're in all right.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
Uh. We do have a phone tap on the way.
It's not worth anything, which is uncool. It's not a
free it's not a free money phone tap. Let's get
into the three things we need to know right now, Gandi,
what's going on?

Speaker 4 (44:26):
All right?

Speaker 8 (44:27):
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick testifies before the House Oversight Committee
looking into the Jeffrey Epstein investigation today Lutnick has said
he stopped talking to Jeffrey Epstein back in two thousand
and five, but during Senate testimony in February, Lutnick admitted
to visiting Epstein's private island with his family. In twenty twelve,
The Commerce Secretary said he has done nothing wrong and

(44:49):
wants to set the record straight that hearing is going
to be held behind closed doors.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
How many years do we have until this Epstein thing
is done?

Speaker 8 (44:57):
I think that there are so many things that are
distracting us from it now that it's starting to fizzle out,
and people need to keep it alive. Don't be distracted,
think about it.

Speaker 7 (45:04):
Go ahead, Danielle, no this something needs to be done
about it. I'm sorry. It shouldn't go away until something
is definitely.

Speaker 1 (45:09):
Doff oh oh.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
I definitely agree with that.

Speaker 1 (45:11):
But here's my issue is this, There's so many things,
there's so many layers, there's so many stories, there's so
many incidents, there's so many accusations. How can someone be
so evil that they have at least fifteen thousand things
that they did wrong.

Speaker 8 (45:31):
I don't know, I mean, but we're seeing it. I
think you start with the people who have been mentioned
the most. You start there and then work your way down.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
But he did, I mean, are all of these things true.
There's no way all these things can be that true
because there's so many How can any one person be
so dastardly.

Speaker 4 (45:47):
I think it wasn't one person. I think it was
a network of people.

Speaker 8 (45:51):
And there's one person at the top of it, but
everybody else, I mean so much complicity.

Speaker 7 (45:55):
And you know what happens when you start getting away
with one thing, then it gets worse, and then away
with that, let me do that, and then you get
power hungry and you think like nobody can touch you.
And I think that's what happened in the situation, and
people like just did what he said and helped them out.

Speaker 8 (46:09):
Yeah, I mean they got diddy. How are we not
getting all these people?

Speaker 1 (46:12):
This is crazy, disgusting you.

Speaker 8 (46:18):
President Trump now being accused of backing down in the
Strait of Hormones by Iranian state media. Yesterday, Trump said
that the US was pausing its military operation Project Freedom,
which was intended to help guide commercial ships through that
critical waterway. Iran responded to the news on state run media,
claiming that the US failed to achieve its objectives and hormos,
and that Trump called off the operation following firm positions

(46:39):
and warnings from the country. Trump said he was pausing
the operation because of progress being made in diplomatic talks.
And finally, new research shows that traveling can actually help
with anti aging as long as it's not stressful or unsafe.
A new university study shows traveling helps the body with balance, resilience, repair,

(47:00):
and lowering stress because of the help.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
Amen, I agree with this.

Speaker 8 (47:04):
There's help because you're in an unfamiliar surrounding with relaxing experiences.
You're making new memories, you're testing out new roots. We
talk about that all the time. Take a different way.
The study points out that traveling often result in more
time on your feet as opposed to sitting still. However,
researchers caution that it could backfire if travelers go to
unsafe places, run into diseases, accidents, injury, unsafe food and water,

(47:26):
pushing the body in the opposite direction. If you take
a nice relaxing vacation, it helps you age slower.

Speaker 4 (47:32):
And those are your three things.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
You know about travel. This is very important to remember.
You don't have to whip out your passport and fly
to the Amalfi coast of Italy. You can drive to
a town that's two hours away. Yeah, it just gonna
go for lunch, walk around to downtown area in some
town you've.

Speaker 2 (47:47):
Never been to.

Speaker 8 (47:48):
You know, be a tourist in your own city. If
you can do that, you don't even want to drive anywhere.

Speaker 1 (47:52):
Yea, yeah, you know me. My brain cells are depleting.
I'm a tourist in my own head, so exciting.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
You know where I?

Speaker 1 (48:00):
Where am I?

Speaker 7 (48:05):
You're listening to Elvis Duran in the Morning show.

Speaker 21 (48:13):
Don't answer the phone, Elvis Duran, the Elvis Duran's phone tap.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
All right, Jessica, say good morning to scary Gary. You
want to play his phone tap on your mom? Absolutely,
because he's so paranoid about my grades about school that.

Speaker 6 (48:29):
I just think it would be great just to screw
with her with this.

Speaker 19 (48:32):
She knows that you're on the Dean's List, an honored student,
and you're graduating all the way this semester. So how
about we put a crimp in those plans and tell
her that you're missing a couple of credits.

Speaker 1 (48:44):
That's great, here we go, I'll start.

Speaker 19 (48:48):
Oh, yes, I'm looking for Marie Alexander please, yes, hi,
my name is Professor Pasternak. Here exist in Aarphanius college.
Your daughter is supposed to be graduating with one hundred
and twenty eight credits, right, she fell three credits short.
Are you aware of this?

Speaker 5 (49:06):
She did call someone last week from the house. She
spoke to a gentleman and he said that she had
made up the three credits.

Speaker 19 (49:15):
Okay, I have no record of that, but there's no
way she can march in June.

Speaker 5 (49:21):
I am so upset. You have no idea we have.
We have a hall for the for the graduation and everything.

Speaker 19 (49:28):
That's that's jumping the gun a little bit. Well, you
could have a celebration anyway.

Speaker 5 (49:33):
Let me try to get in contact with her.

Speaker 1 (49:35):
Okay, yes, thank you. Yeah, don't answer the phone.

Speaker 7 (49:39):
Okay, Oh was you calling me right now?

Speaker 1 (49:41):
I'm gonna call her right back.

Speaker 5 (49:42):
Okay, can I help you?

Speaker 6 (49:45):
Didn't you call me?

Speaker 5 (49:46):
Yeah, Professor Pasternak, huh, Well, he just called me to
tell me you're not graduating college.

Speaker 6 (49:52):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (49:53):
I didn't want to tell you just yet, and I
didn't think they call you so fast.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
What are you gonna do, Jessica, I just I gonna
get get in the summer at.

Speaker 5 (50:01):
Jessica, we have a whore, we have everything. I thought
you an idiot. This man just called me. I'm mortified. Good.
I think you should have stayed home once in a
while and did the papers the way you're supposed to
do them, and I wouldn't be getting phone calls like
this at work. Are you mad at me right now, Jessica,

(50:23):
I'm mortified, hella.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
Miss Alexander. Yes, Professor Pasternak.

Speaker 5 (50:33):
I'm going through a hard time right now. She told
me she tried to hide it from me as long
as possible because she didn't want to hurt me.

Speaker 19 (50:41):
Yes, they do that all the time. What about some
of the behavioral issues?

Speaker 5 (50:46):
What behavioral She.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
Was caught relieving herself in the bushes on the main quad.

Speaker 5 (50:53):
Excuse me?

Speaker 1 (50:54):
Did she tell you about that?

Speaker 5 (50:56):
No?

Speaker 19 (50:57):
Okay, I really thought there was a more open line
of communication between you and your daughter.

Speaker 5 (51:04):
I'm trembling, trembling, Yeah.

Speaker 19 (51:07):
Hold on a second, let me see if I can
conference her in here. You guys need to have more conversation. Oh, Jessica,
are you there?

Speaker 1 (51:14):
Yeah, I have your mother on the line.

Speaker 5 (51:16):
Jessica, I'm ready to puke up my my. What did
we eat. I don't even know what we ate.

Speaker 3 (51:21):
I had a taco bell.

Speaker 6 (51:23):
I'm shaking.

Speaker 5 (51:25):
I'm really sorry. Jessica real, Jessica Swid. I mean this
is fake.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
Scarry, She's phone tapping you.

Speaker 5 (51:37):
Oh my god, I hate everybody.

Speaker 1 (51:41):
No, you don't.

Speaker 5 (51:42):
I do hate you. I don't even know you when
I hate.

Speaker 21 (51:44):
You Elvis Duran's phone.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
This phone table was pre recorded with permission granted by all.

Speaker 21 (51:51):
Participation the Elvis Oran phone tap only on Elvis Duran

Speaker 1 (51:59):

Speaker 2 (52:43):
Danielle's I a mom with kids.

Speaker 7 (52:45):
As soon as he put his bad leg on, I'm
a pregnant, naughty.

Speaker 1 (52:47):
Kid met that lobster out of the tank at Red Lobster.

Speaker 8 (52:49):
There's a narrative starting here at that I already knew.

Speaker 1 (52:52):
I was gay.

Speaker 5 (52:53):
We know.

Speaker 1 (52:55):
This should work out really well.

Speaker 9 (52:58):
This is Alvis Duran in the Morning the Show.

Speaker 1 (53:00):
All right, this will be a lot of fun. We
have a lot of stuff going on. We're balancing many balls. Yes,
is it balancing balls? What do you do with balls?
Balancing balls?

Speaker 3 (53:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 16 (53:09):
You you uh, juggling lots of balls.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
We'll leave it at that.

Speaker 1 (53:15):
So, first of all, we have a special guest in
the room, so let's try to behave people. The host
of NBC six is South Florida Live. Kristen Sanchez is here.

Speaker 4 (53:24):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
That's so great.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
Channel six is right down the street from Y one
ze point seven, and she actually hitch hiked.

Speaker 26 (53:35):
How do you know, you guys, weren' supposed to tell
everybody that I d but you know what, I came
here bright and early.

Speaker 4 (53:40):
I put my face on early for everybody.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
This is what we do radio.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
We don't want to put faces on, but we knew
you were bringing cameras in, so faces are on.

Speaker 4 (53:48):
Yes, everyone looks great.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
So's it's really I've seen it from years. It's a
daily lifestyle entertainment showing NBC six they've been doing. It's
called it used to be called live, didn't it.

Speaker 4 (53:57):
It used to be called now it's it's called South
Floor Live.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
Okay, and we're here.

Speaker 26 (54:02):
It's great thirty minutes twelve thirty to one o'clock Monday
through Friday, and we do all the coolest.

Speaker 4 (54:07):
Things in Miami. You want to know you watch the show?

Speaker 1 (54:09):
Good, yeah, fun.

Speaker 2 (54:10):
Now.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
The thing is is they found that what we do
here is kind of unique and they wanted to, I guess,
do a segment on it. And Claudia, you're you're down
at NBC six all the time, right.

Speaker 8 (54:19):
He it's from time to time. I spend my time
with Kristin having lots of fun talking about the tea.

Speaker 4 (54:23):
How much fun was that? It was so cool? Oh
my god, it was so much fun.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
Okay. Only people that are in Miami know what the
tik t is explain to people what that is.

Speaker 12 (54:31):
So it's like a tee smith the hot pipe in tea.
What's going on in South Florida. That's what we talk about.
It's every Thursday with Kristin on NBC six and then
we just talk about it throughout the day here every
day on one hundred point seven.

Speaker 1 (54:43):
Okay, So we'll be the tik Tiki today, I guess yes.
So we're about to do our around the room segment.
So Kristen is going to be our guest and she
has no idea what to do. She's going to follow
us and just see what we do and then catch
on and then be a part of it when I inspired.

Speaker 8 (54:56):
One assignment for her first time here, right, Okay, game
on can do this, Yeah for sure.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
So one thing that you know we do that's very unique.

Speaker 1 (55:04):
Most of our staff, most of our family, is in
New York and our New York studios. You see them
if you're looking looking at the zoom. You have Danielle,
and you have Scary, our producer, and you have senior
executive producer, Straight Nate. We call him straight Nate because
a lot of people think he's gay. So we just
want to clarify, I'm gay Elvis, he's straight in eight
and Froggy is in Tampa.

Speaker 2 (55:26):
We don't know what he is. Say Hi Froggy anyway.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
So it's a very unique situation where we're always either
in Miami and New York or just New York and
sometimes all Miami. It we're all over the place, which
is kind of the new way of us doing our show.
It started during COVID because we all had to go
home to do the show in our own homes and
we just never really remembered how to get back into
the office.

Speaker 26 (55:49):
And that's okay, change the game. But I think a
really cool way because now we can hear you everywhere.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
We're having fun.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
This is good. We have another thing going on today.
This is National Teachers Week or month.

Speaker 4 (55:59):
What is appreciation Week?

Speaker 2 (56:00):
Thank you?

Speaker 4 (56:01):
Yeah, I got three kids, so I know you teachers.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
So there's an incredible organization called Donors Choose Donors Choose
dot org. What they do is they take our contributions,
your contributions, and they apply it to teachers and their
classrooms for all the projects they need funding for. Because,
as you know, teachers they pull money out of their
own pockets. It's a sad state of affairs our education
system sometimes, but thanks to donors Shoes you can help.

(56:27):
Today they're actually doubling up on some of the donations.
We are donating ten thousand dollars to as many classrooms
as we can choose. And Andrew's in charge of it.
So if your classroom does not get chosen today, Andrew
is the is the guy who did not choose right,
get out his Instagram, So that's you, Andrew.

Speaker 4 (56:48):
His instagram is important.

Speaker 1 (56:49):
So what have you.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
Noticed in the in the applications so far? They've been
coming in.

Speaker 22 (56:53):
So so far We've donated to twenty five different projects.
I've done seventy two hundred bucks. I've been going through
all these texts.

Speaker 1 (57:01):
Well, what kind of projects are they raising many for?

Speaker 22 (57:03):
Well, mister a over in Norwalk, Connecticut, he wanted to
get new books for his classroom, so we gave to
that one. Miss Stigos over at New Britain, Connecticut wanted
prizes to reinforce good behavior.

Speaker 10 (57:18):
Wow.

Speaker 22 (57:18):
Missus de Salvator over in New York wanted to get
this cardboard something recycling, teaching them how to recycle. So
that was exciting for her first grade class.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
All right, we need to Miami stuff in there too,
South Florida.

Speaker 8 (57:30):
So how are you are you really betting these people?

Speaker 4 (57:33):
How do we know?

Speaker 1 (57:33):
Well, they texted so that we told them to text it. Okay,
they are vetted because they all have active donors Choose accounts.

Speaker 22 (57:42):
Our subject has to be verified before you even get
on it. Donors Choose goes through the application and the essay,
and then your project goes up, and then we find
it when you text into fifty five one hundred and
it gets sent to me.

Speaker 2 (57:52):
It's not confusing at It's a lot of steps.

Speaker 1 (57:55):
So what you need to do is, first of all,
go to donors choose dot org slash Elvis and donate.
Help us pay for the stuff. We're out of our
own budget. We found budget at my heart, which is
so unusual.

Speaker 4 (58:07):
Where was it?

Speaker 1 (58:08):
Don't don't ask. We've already assigned ten thousand dollars to
our donors choose drive today and okay, we'll double it.

Speaker 2 (58:17):
We'll go to twenty thousand. We have an orchestra, so
turn on.

Speaker 1 (58:26):
Fire the orchestra, catifford him, get rid of them, get
out of here anyway. So donors choose dot org slash
slash Elvis. If you want to get your projects funded,
there's a chance we could choose you. Just text us
your info at Elvis what is.

Speaker 22 (58:40):
It fifty or email me Andrew at Elvis duran dot com.
A couple of you already have and I am going
through those as well.

Speaker 1 (58:48):
All right, he's like.

Speaker 7 (58:51):
The Gift Fairy.

Speaker 2 (58:53):
Definitely the Gift Fairy.

Speaker 10 (58:55):
It is great.

Speaker 1 (58:55):
I love it.

Speaker 22 (58:56):
It's like Amazon, but with teachers projects.

Speaker 1 (58:58):
Now, by the way, we're not here to give money
to your only fans account. I see people are trying
to get us to pay for their only fans performances
around doing that?

Speaker 4 (59:10):
Do you do learn a lot there?

Speaker 1 (59:12):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (59:12):
You do?

Speaker 1 (59:13):
All right, Now, let's go around the room. Let's let's
show everyone how it's done. What's all the mind of
people in the room. We're all in a room somewhere
and we've got a lot of people. Let's start with
scary scary in New York. What's going on?

Speaker 25 (59:23):
Well, I don't know what to expect, but I've been
invited to my very first baby shower this Saturday. I
didn't know you were invited to baby showers, but my
friend Rob Deazy and Amber Uh, they said, Hey, come
to the party. So me and some of the guys
are going and we're gonna invade. I know nothing about it.
In fact, off the air later, I need gift tips

(59:44):
because I don't know what to bok.

Speaker 7 (59:46):
There's probably a registry that you can get.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
Yeah, you know, like a bottle of bourbon.

Speaker 7 (59:53):
Maybe for the guys.

Speaker 25 (59:54):
Actually I don't know, but I'll let you know how
it goes on Monday.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
When you've never been to a baby shower, No, it's
usually for like women.

Speaker 7 (01:00:02):
Yeah, the guys sometimes come at the end to help,
like carry the gifts.

Speaker 8 (01:00:06):
There's a lot of.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
Co ed baby showers lately. Yeah, yeah, what.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
Gear is this? We need the manly man to cares the.

Speaker 7 (01:00:11):
Gains and your big cars. So many gifts?

Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
All right, Danielle, what's up with you?

Speaker 22 (01:00:17):
All right?

Speaker 7 (01:00:17):
So you guys know that I am like a total
Broadway geek. I'm obsessed with everything theater related. And you
also know I have a problem with handbags and shoes
and accessories. Well, my husband thinks I have a new problem,
and that is theater gear. Theater sweatshirts and bags and swag.

Speaker 9 (01:00:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:00:37):
So every time I go to the theater now and
I see a show, that I absolutely fall in love with.
I buy something because I want to wear it and
I want to represent it. And I have so many
sweatshirts and toe bags and jewelry and stuff. He's like,
this is your new problem. First it shoes, then it's accessories,
that it's hambags. Now it's Broadway gear. What the hell?
But I don't think it's a problem. I think it's

(01:00:59):
a special thing and I just love it. I love
people when they stop me and go, oh my god,
I saw that show, or oh my gosh, I want
to see that show where tell me about it. It's
cool if you love something represented, right, Come.

Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
On, you're helping the economy.

Speaker 7 (01:01:12):
Right, Yeah, Froggy, you'll be quiet down there.

Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
You know what, at some point when you when you're
my age, the hoarding starts to slow down. Now you're
still hoarding. Let's go to frog Frog what's up with you?

Speaker 5 (01:01:25):
So?

Speaker 18 (01:01:25):
Speaking of hoarding, yesterday, my wife was going chopping at
home Goods and I usually never want to go with her, ever, ever, ever, ever.
Yesterday I'm like, hey, you want me to come with you?
I'd love to go with you. She said, No, the
last place I want you to go with me is
home goods. I don't need to hear. We don't need anything,
we don't have room for that. That won't look good.
So I am no longer allowed to go on any
shopping trips.

Speaker 10 (01:01:45):
With her where she's buying things for the house. I
know I wanted, not needed.

Speaker 4 (01:01:49):
We don't need that negative energy.

Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
No, no, I know. On the other side, though, home goods,
I mean, how many signs can you own that say
hang on till Friday. Love lives here. I don't know,
I've I've been to your house. Love a lot of
love lives there all the time. Hey, Claudia, what's up
with you today?

Speaker 12 (01:02:09):
All right, So yesterday I spent some time with my
mom after we talked about everything we talked about with
the book, and she.

Speaker 4 (01:02:14):
Was like, this is so cute.

Speaker 12 (01:02:16):
And then it's just a reminder to hang out with
your mom, you know, if if if you.

Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
Have that.

Speaker 12 (01:02:24):
Live moment, sorry I don't want to cry, if you
have that live moment where one parent is no longer here,
just spend time with the parent that you actually have here.

Speaker 4 (01:02:31):
And I did her.

Speaker 12 (01:02:32):
Nails and she's like, okay, blow my hair, and then
I blew up her hair.

Speaker 8 (01:02:36):
Blew it out and we just spent like the whole
afternoon together.

Speaker 4 (01:02:39):
We had lunch. It was so cool.

Speaker 8 (01:02:40):
So just spend time with your mama or your daddy.
It'll be a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
Of course, Claudia spent hours and hours with her her
mom doing her hair for like hours, and now she
looks like this crazy drag queen.

Speaker 12 (01:02:53):
I actually our hairstyles is like, you do a good job,
like you should come work here, and I'm like, I
love what I do.

Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
You know, my mom and dad are both gone, so yeah,
when I hear you, you're making some noise over there. Hey, uh,
straight night, what's up with you today? So I checked
something off the old bucket list last night. Elvis, you
might be the boss here, but I saw the boss
last night. I saw Bruce Springsteen. So I went to
Ubs Arena. Our friend Carrie was there. She was she
says hi to everybody beautiful. Had a great time.

Speaker 20 (01:03:22):
But I realized, as a new Bruce Springsteen fan, I
don't know how to act at a Bruce Springsteen concert because.

Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
How do you I just sit there in your wheelchair.

Speaker 10 (01:03:34):
Right.

Speaker 1 (01:03:35):
But after he did Born in the USA, it was amazing.
I'm applauding, but then I am like, why are these
people booing? They're booing Bruce Springsteen, Like, why are they
booing him? And the lady goes, we're not booing, we're
saying Bruce, they're brucing. So no, I know he was

(01:03:55):
just amazing.

Speaker 20 (01:03:56):
Why are they booing this poor guy? Buddy said, They
were saying Bruce. So, Bruce, you were amazing you'd yesterday.

Speaker 10 (01:04:02):
It was awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
Thank you so much. It was awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
It doesn't make sense. But next time we boo, you
just pretend we're brucing here very soon, I'm what's up, Gandhi?

Speaker 4 (01:04:12):
I have beef with us.

Speaker 8 (01:04:13):
I think we let everybody astray yesterday. So we were
talking about the algorithm cleanse. You want to fix your page,
you just go and reset it and you'll be fine.
I am not fine. My algorithm is now worse than
it ever was before. And I blame us for that.
We weren't really thinking this through. Now, any video that
I watched for even one second, if I was scrolling, now,
it's part of my algorithm. I want that stuff on there.

(01:04:33):
So now do I have to reset every day?

Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
You have to start being a on Instagram against you
bring your old algorithm back.

Speaker 8 (01:04:41):
So not only did I get screwed over all of
our listeners that did it?

Speaker 4 (01:04:43):
Sorry? Yeah, sorry about that one. Don't do it.

Speaker 8 (01:04:46):
No, just hide the things you don't want to see.
You do not cleanse your algorithm.

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
No, I can cleanse mine. It was getting really dirty.

Speaker 9 (01:04:52):
It made me.

Speaker 4 (01:04:53):
Realize how trashy I truly am.

Speaker 5 (01:04:54):
I know.

Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
Yeah, true to yourself. All right, everyone, everyone in the
room is done so far?

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
Yeah all right?

Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
So now the host of NBC six is South Florida Live,
Christian Sanchez is here.

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
Yeah, that's around the room. Do you want to contribute?
Absolutely what you got?

Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
Okay? As a Long Island girl, I grew up listening
to you.

Speaker 26 (01:05:14):
Oh yeah, I'm homegrown Elvis.

Speaker 4 (01:05:17):
I would be in the car getting dropped off to
school with my mom.

Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
Your mom, would you listen to this smud?

Speaker 4 (01:05:23):
Do you want to hundred? We will listen to every
morning on a way to school. And now I'm later,
I have three kids. I do like school drop offs.

Speaker 26 (01:05:31):
I'm a TV host here in Miami, and it's just
kind of crazy to me how life is. Because when
you're younger, you feel like all the successful people have
like their life all figured out. And now growing up,
it's just like everyone's winging it with confidence.

Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
Yeah yeah, successful people have nothing figured out.

Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
We're doing it along the way. She just told us
she realized we're all hot messes.

Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
Fires.

Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
We are a big ol dumpster fire. Congratulations. Now, did
you always want to do what you're doing now when
you're growing up on Long Island?

Speaker 4 (01:06:04):
I really did. I always wanted to do something in TV.

Speaker 26 (01:06:06):
So you know, I was like that Long Island girl
going into the city going on to like auditions for TVs, movies,
pageants and somehow.

Speaker 1 (01:06:14):
Pageants on TV. I kept the pageants. You're a pageant girl?

Speaker 4 (01:06:18):
Yes? Yeah, what was your piano? Okay? Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
Wow, so here you are.

Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
I mean, is it weird how you know years later
you wake up you're like, oh my god, this is
what I was dreaming of.

Speaker 26 (01:06:34):
Yeah it is. It's still pinched me. I like, don't
take a second for it.

Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
For granted, what's the line in Willy Wonka about the
little boy Charlie who wished for everything and guess what happened?
He lived happily ever after?

Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
Yes, on the things you wished for?

Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
Com Congratulations, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:06:51):
You've created it. So Kristin, thank you for being here today.
We've got lots of work to do. Right now, let's
get into the three things here scary, hit it and
there the three things we need to know from Gandhi,
and then we Oh my god, we've got a special announcement.
I'm not going to say who, but someone on our
show pushed a baby out of her regime. And the

(01:07:12):
reason why I'm being very descriptive is she used no
drugs to do it.

Speaker 8 (01:07:17):
Oh my god, she is.

Speaker 7 (01:07:20):
When you find out how big this baby is, she's
your superhero right.

Speaker 1 (01:07:23):
Now, massive baby, No drugs. We just gave all of
it away.

Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
No, No, there's more to get to.

Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
And we'll explain that in a second.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Into the three things we need to know Gandhi? What's
going on all right?

Speaker 8 (01:07:39):
Robert Kennedy Junior is launching a new initiative targeting targeting
psychiatric medications. He announced the initiative during a Make America
Healthy Again summit on mental health and over medicalization as
he seeks a boost in de prescribing antidepressants. According to
the AHHS Secretary, the move will support patient autonomy, require
informed consent and shared decision making, and shift the standard

(01:08:02):
of care toward prevention, transparency, and a more holistic approach
to mental health. President Trump is being accused of backing
down in the Strait of Hormones by Iranian state media. Yesterday,
Trump said the US was pausing its military operation Project Freedom,
which was intended to help guide commercial ships through the
critical waterway. Iran responded to the news on state run media,

(01:08:24):
claiming the US failed to achieve its objectives in Hormus
and that Trump called off the operation following firm positions
and warnings. Trump, for his part, says he was pausing
the operation because of progress being made in diplomatic talks
and finally, we were all kind of bummed about this one.
Delta Airlines is ending its snacks on short distance flights
starting May nineteen.

Speaker 1 (01:08:45):
And they were so tasty too.

Speaker 4 (01:08:46):
I mean, those little cookies were amazing.

Speaker 8 (01:08:49):
Starting May nineteenth, economy passengers on flights under three hundred
and fifty miles will not get snacks in flight meals
or drinks. That change impacts about four hundred and fifty
days flights, but first class travelers will still get their
full service. Another change, Delta says it will now offer
full food and beverage service to its comfort and main
cabin customers on flights between three hundred and fifty and

(01:09:11):
four hundred and ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (01:09:12):
You know what this means?

Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
What doest now? Delta flyers will be mad as hell.
And now now that Spirit Airlines has gone, now we
have a we have a new airline of fights fights.

Speaker 7 (01:09:24):
On board way to fill that void.

Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
By the way, when I cleared up my algorithm yep
set on Instagram, I lost all my airplane fights. I'm
addicted to.

Speaker 8 (01:09:32):
Watching airplane I sent you a nice compilation yesterday, so
if you watch it, it'll probably come back. And those
are your three.

Speaker 9 (01:09:37):
Things that's weird. Elvis Duran in The Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
On America's Darkest Day nine to eleven, America vowed to
never forget. Help our nation keep that promise. Donate eleven
dollars a month and amplify your impact for the car
or Land donation go to ttwot dot org. That's t
the number two T.

Speaker 9 (01:10:06):
God morning.

Speaker 1 (01:10:10):
All right, So God, let's get producer Sam on the line.
Producer Sam hasn't been in because she's been out on
maternity leave, not allowed to do any work. But believe me,
she has now worked harder at something than she's ever worked,
working in anything in her life. Hi, Sam, good morning.

Speaker 6 (01:10:30):
Good morning guys.

Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
You Oh you sound war you sound worn out. Were
you up all night?

Speaker 6 (01:10:37):
I think I've been up for four days.

Speaker 1 (01:10:39):
Okay, Wow, you're on a baby bender.

Speaker 6 (01:10:43):
So so you know.

Speaker 1 (01:10:45):
What, So go ahead tell the story because it's your
story to tell.

Speaker 6 (01:10:50):
Heboy. Yeah, so we have a very well done baby
at our house because now I'll tell everyone My due
date was actually supposed to be the night teeth whoa, yeah,
a little off on that, I guess. And uh, our
kid came out just maybe like four days ago. I

(01:11:10):
really don't even know what the date is.

Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
It was last Thursday.

Speaker 4 (01:11:14):
Yeah, yeah, the thirtieth when you.

Speaker 6 (01:11:16):
Guys called me. Yeah, when you guys called me and
you're like any baby, and I'm like, no baby yet.
I was literally in early labor in the hospital. You
lie yet, tell I'm not lying. I said there was
no baby yet.

Speaker 7 (01:11:30):
And she hasn't turned all the machines off in the
hospital so that we wouldn't hear the machines.

Speaker 8 (01:11:36):
In the hospital.

Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
That.

Speaker 6 (01:11:40):
Yeah, what did I do that I need is a
million DMS checking it on me while I'm in the way.

Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
And here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (01:11:46):
When you're when you're the mom and your your baby's
popping out, you're in charge.

Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
However you want to roll it, well, roll with you. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:11:53):
So you had you had this little baby, which little Yeah, okay,
we'll get to that in a minute. Her name is Avery.

Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
Avery.

Speaker 4 (01:12:06):
That's a pretty name.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
It is a pretty name.

Speaker 1 (01:12:08):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:12:08):
My dentist growing up was doctor Avery. We used to
call him doctor Payne.

Speaker 6 (01:12:12):
Anyway, God, fantastic.

Speaker 1 (01:12:13):
Now, now did you measure your baby?

Speaker 6 (01:12:15):
Right now?

Speaker 1 (01:12:16):
Did you measure your baby? Why do they measure babies like?
I don't even fish?

Speaker 13 (01:12:19):
How she?

Speaker 1 (01:12:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:12:21):
Why?

Speaker 2 (01:12:21):
Why do we need to know the length of your child?

Speaker 6 (01:12:23):
I'm gonna be honest, even as a mom, I don't know.
I just nodded and it was like wow, I was
more interested in the headsize, which was its own thing.
But apparently, okay, well hold on length.

Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
What is the circumference of your baby's head?

Speaker 6 (01:12:41):
She is currently? She was a ninety nine percentile head murder.

Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
So you decided to go through this childbirth with no
drugs at all?

Speaker 6 (01:12:54):
Correct? The dumbest to No, I'm kidding. I don't regret it,
but it was absolutely Why And I did not know
that going in. I stopped getting the size and the
weight checks out, you know, I was like, let's just
I'm going into this. We're coming out on the other end,
one way or another. And yeah, when she was when
they put her on my chest, you could see a photo.
Her head is like comparable to line. It looks crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
That baby's got a head. That's a major head.

Speaker 1 (01:13:21):
Chunky baby made chunky head baby.

Speaker 6 (01:13:23):
Baby hats don't fit William, so it does kind of me.

Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
Okay, okay, look, you know, I'm sure every mother, including Danielle,
will describe what it felt like as a baby is
coming out of you. Can you describe using using the
power of words, paint the picture? What did it feel
like when this nine plus pound baby came out of

(01:13:47):
your area area fifty one?

Speaker 6 (01:13:53):
You are truly mentally taken away. And I don't think
this is a natural or an epidural thing. I think
this just across the board. You are somewhere else mentally.
I heard people talking to me, but once I was
in like you know, the baby's coming phase, I couldn't
really interact with people because you're just your Your mind
and body are doing their own thing, which is kind

(01:14:15):
of really cool in retrospect, and I almost felt like
a ghost of myself in the hospital room, just kind
of in my own world, listening to my midwife whenever
she was given me instructions. But it's it's it was
a moment that just existed then, and as soon as
she was on me, I slowly started coming back to
being myself. It's weird. You're in another dimension. Your brain

(01:14:38):
is doing its own things. It's really cool. And I
didn't even have the time to be scared, like it's wild.
It really was.

Speaker 1 (01:14:48):
You'll get scared when she turns like nineteen or twenty nine. Hey, okay,
questions are the room gandhi, did you poop? Did you
poop yourself?

Speaker 6 (01:14:58):
I'm investigating because everyone's saying but statistically that doesn't make sense,
and I think they're liars.

Speaker 7 (01:15:03):
They don't tell you, they will.

Speaker 1 (01:15:06):
Why do we want.

Speaker 2 (01:15:07):
To keep that a secret?

Speaker 7 (01:15:08):
Because they don't want you to be embarrassed. That's why
it's your body. I think I pooped?

Speaker 1 (01:15:16):
Did you poop? I gotta tell you.

Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
When Danielle head her first child, I pooped.

Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
We all pooped, So okay, so yes, a scary what
what's your question? Did William watch Live.

Speaker 6 (01:15:28):
I know he went out for Yes, he was there.

Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
Scary.

Speaker 1 (01:15:34):
I just don't want they don't want to be like that.

Speaker 6 (01:15:37):
That's a particularly squeamish person. And he was really happy
to be there.

Speaker 1 (01:15:44):
So he's okay, he saw what happened to your body,
and he's he's okay to go back there again.

Speaker 4 (01:15:49):
Jesus.

Speaker 6 (01:15:51):
He keeps trying to describe it to me, and I'm like,
I did not choose to be there to yourself.

Speaker 7 (01:15:57):
Wait, did he cut the umbilical cord?

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
He did with his teeth? Oh wow, Claudia Cloudia has
a question.

Speaker 15 (01:16:06):
Hi, Sam, Hi did first of all? Congratulations? Oh my gosh,
this is so exciting. And was it long and painful
or shorter than you thought?

Speaker 6 (01:16:17):
Shorter than I thought? Definitely, still gonna call it long
and painful. I think the average labor is like twenty
four hours for a first time, and and we were
maybe in like early to end in like thirteen hours.
They're still short. It's not a short amount of time
to suffer.

Speaker 24 (01:16:33):
No.

Speaker 1 (01:16:34):
Wow, Now, Danielle, you're the only person here who's given birth. Yes,
go ahead.

Speaker 7 (01:16:39):
I just want to say that this is insane to me,
that she is really a hero in my eyes, because
no drugs nine pounds five ounces or whatever. I don't
know how the hell you did that, but God bless
you because I was screaming, give me the drugs now,
and my kids were not even near that bag. So

(01:17:00):
I've given you a standing ovation. I You're amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
You know what, if Daniel says it, I believe whatever
Daniel says she.

Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
Popped out two of them she pooped out to buy.

Speaker 8 (01:17:11):
I have one question, Yes, Sam, how are you feeling now?

Speaker 4 (01:17:14):
How you doing?

Speaker 6 (01:17:15):
I'm I'm I'm still kind of shocked, truly, it's weird
that I'm a mom. I feel good, all things considered.
But what's been very interesting to me is when new
moms or friends reach out. They when they were in
this everything was great and everything's fine, everything's wonderful, and

(01:17:36):
then I'm like, yeah, I'm having some pains here and
this feels weird and this is really hard for me,
And now is when everyone's comfortable to talk about it.
So I guess I'll take this moment to just say,
if you're a new mom, please don't feel weird about
talking about the painful stuff too, because our bodies are
feeling a dinner plate size, wound inside, not everything going

(01:17:59):
on outside. Okay, truly, that's what it is. So I'm
doing great, all things considered.

Speaker 2 (01:18:04):
And also all.

Speaker 1 (01:18:05):
Other women out there who are going through IVF, what
do you want to say to them?

Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
Have you thought about that?

Speaker 6 (01:18:13):
Yeah, that one's been kind of a weird emotional thought
for me. I had people kept saying be hopeful. To
be honest, I did not have hope. I was just
going through the motions because it's all I felt like
I had. So if you're going through IVF and you
don't feel hope, I'm not going to tell you feel
it because it's the crappiest emotion for someone to push

(01:18:34):
on you. I will say, you don't know what's going
to happen if you keep going. You know, I'm really
beyond grateful. I wish they picked a smaller embryo that
I love her, all.

Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
Right, so you have to jumbo embryo, all right?

Speaker 1 (01:18:49):
All right? Now, Okay, a couple of things we need
to get out of the way.

Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
Not to toot my own horne, but here, here we go.
I've got it. I've got a horn. It needs touting.
What does that mean?

Speaker 1 (01:18:59):
The morning I woke up early. I got a text
from saying, I'm like, why is Samantha texting me? And
her text me was I hate that You're always right?
And I'm texted back I'm like, what are you talking about?
Tell tell him why.

Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
You texted me that?

Speaker 6 (01:19:15):
In the in the room, in the room, Elvis was
the only one who said, no, it's a girl. Everyone else,
the masses online said it's definitely a boy. I thought
it was a boy. My first words to her were,
who are you? When William said that it was a girl. So, Elvis,
you were the only one.

Speaker 27 (01:19:34):
In that room.

Speaker 1 (01:19:34):
How can you not tell? I could tell when when
she got pregnant was oh but wait, there's more.

Speaker 16 (01:19:40):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:19:42):
In Danielle's hand is an envelope. I hold on the
don't open it yet. I wrote something down on a
sheet of paper and put it in this envelope and
sealed it.

Speaker 2 (01:19:52):
Now, when was that, Nate? How long ago was that?

Speaker 20 (01:19:54):
I think when we guessed the baby's gender, right, that
was like a month ago?

Speaker 1 (01:19:58):
The baby sex right? I wrote something down on a
sheet of paper. Do you want to open that, daniel
I want to read it.

Speaker 2 (01:20:06):
Turn off that music? What are you doing?

Speaker 4 (01:20:08):
We can't afford the orchestra.

Speaker 1 (01:20:09):
We cannot afford your Okay, open the sheet of paper.
What does it say on that sheet of paper?

Speaker 7 (01:20:14):
No, it does not say that. What does it say
says Avery on the sheet of paper?

Speaker 4 (01:20:19):
Get out of here?

Speaker 1 (01:20:22):
Absolutely? I knew it. I knew it. I wrote down.
I wrote it.

Speaker 2 (01:20:34):
No, I'm serious. I had met someone named Avery. I
loved the name.

Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
And I did not write that down thinking that was
the name you're going to choose. I wrote that down
because I was hoping it would transfer to you and
you would name your.

Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
Child Avery.

Speaker 6 (01:20:51):
Two days after she was born. So that's not the
least post I knew.

Speaker 28 (01:20:56):
I knew.

Speaker 2 (01:20:56):
I knew you're the name of Avery.

Speaker 1 (01:20:58):
No, no, you can.

Speaker 2 (01:20:59):
You can aim me for lying all you want.

Speaker 4 (01:21:01):
I am.

Speaker 7 (01:21:02):
You are not telling you you're lying.

Speaker 8 (01:21:03):
They tell them he makes a conspirator.

Speaker 20 (01:21:07):
No, this was a deceealed Elvis sealed it. It's been
in his.

Speaker 4 (01:21:11):
Office, he said, up. You just went and wrote.

Speaker 7 (01:21:14):
That day right now?

Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
All right, Okay, you know what I hate you people?

Speaker 4 (01:21:17):
That her friend Elvis.

Speaker 1 (01:21:18):
When was the last time you were in New York?
I mean you wrote this?

Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
Okay, take you scary?

Speaker 17 (01:21:26):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:21:26):
Anyway, so congratulations. I love how she had a baby,
and I make it all about me. It's really all
about me, deep deep lives.

Speaker 6 (01:21:35):
I'm very impressed.

Speaker 5 (01:21:35):
Sam.

Speaker 2 (01:21:36):
We love you. So what's next? You're gonna raise this kid?

Speaker 1 (01:21:38):
What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (01:21:39):
What are you do?

Speaker 6 (01:21:40):
I guess I have to keep I keep it now right,
that's how it works.

Speaker 1 (01:21:43):
Keep it.

Speaker 6 (01:21:44):
Yeah, just gonna try and get into a normal routine.
And for all of those dog people out there, I
can't wait to get my Savannah back. I missed her
so freaking much later.

Speaker 8 (01:21:54):
So that's Do you still like your baby?

Speaker 9 (01:22:02):
You know?

Speaker 4 (01:22:03):
I asked people that all the time.

Speaker 1 (01:22:04):
It's something it is not wou She's weird, all right,
She's from she and alien?

Speaker 2 (01:22:11):
Is she one of those lizard kids? Lizard people?

Speaker 6 (01:22:14):
If if I don't see her immediately, she stares at
me grumpy, and I think she knows too much.

Speaker 1 (01:22:19):
Well, Sam, at the end of the day, we love you,
and it's so great to have another member of her family.
And now you decided not to use drugs during the
child birth, So now you can use drugs, now go.

Speaker 6 (01:22:34):
I'll take whatever you got. Honestly, I was pounding it afterwards.

Speaker 8 (01:22:37):
Oh and you have Mother's Day coming up, your first
Mother's Day.

Speaker 4 (01:22:39):
This is exciting.

Speaker 1 (01:22:41):
I know.

Speaker 6 (01:22:42):
It's just me and her and a diaper matching outfits.

Speaker 1 (01:22:44):
Nice, give will our best and we love you, Sam.

Speaker 6 (01:22:48):
Yay, I will wait.

Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
Hold on, When are you coming back to work? Things
are falling apart?

Speaker 6 (01:22:53):
Good question. I really I miss it already, asked Danielle.
I asked her if I could come back yesterday.

Speaker 1 (01:22:58):
Yes, oh god, We'll figure that out. We gotta tell you, yeah,
scary actually is to work.

Speaker 2 (01:23:06):
We gotta take a break.

Speaker 1 (01:23:06):
We love you, Sam.

Speaker 2 (01:23:07):
We'll talk to you soon. Okay.

Speaker 6 (01:23:08):
I love I love you.

Speaker 1 (01:23:09):
Are we do?

Speaker 13 (01:23:10):
We do?

Speaker 1 (01:23:11):
Hey?

Speaker 27 (01:23:11):
Everyone, this is Kyle McLaughlin on my podcast What are
We Even Doing? I dive deep into the minds of
young creators, uncovering what really drives them, what keeps them
up at night, and how they are reshaping the world
while still wondering what are we even doing?

Speaker 21 (01:23:26):
Open your free iHeartRadio app search what are we even doing?
And listen now Elvis Duran in the Morning show.

Speaker 5 (01:23:33):
I cannot believe I'm poppy guy.

Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
Good morning.

Speaker 17 (01:23:35):
I love you all.

Speaker 7 (01:23:38):
I love you guys.

Speaker 5 (01:23:39):
I listen to you every morning.

Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
Morning mister Ran and your Morning show in New York
and Philly. Today it's gonna feel like sixty up to
seventy two today, chance of rain and so wind all
the way. Let's see in Miami it's eighty right now,
up to eighty seven today. It's gonna be a sunny day. Nice,
beautiful day, beautiful couple days on the way. Gosh, what

(01:24:01):
a busy day, huh. Samantha coming on talking about having
her baby and all the and all the juicy things
that happen when you have a baby. Hey, speaking of
I have another family member I've got to talk about.
Her name is a Camille. Do you know who I'm

(01:24:22):
talking about?

Speaker 4 (01:24:23):
Yes, there's a grand baby in the Komforno family.

Speaker 1 (01:24:29):
Oh yeah, as a matter of fact. Yeah, So congratulations
to Achille Jr.

Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
And Mary Kate a new baby.

Speaker 1 (01:24:38):
Of course, to Achille and Nita and Mike and Andre,
the uncles and moms and grandmams and everyone.

Speaker 2 (01:24:45):
Congratulations.

Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
So Alex and I feel like we have a new
baby in our family too.

Speaker 2 (01:24:49):
I know.

Speaker 1 (01:24:50):
Camilla is her name, and I'm beautiful, right, So many
reasons to celebrate. You don't have to have a birthday
to celebrate, but God, just think of the celebrations we
could throw if you and I had a baby.

Speaker 8 (01:25:03):
My goodness, think hearing everything Sam just said and then
hearing the conversations off the air, I think I'm a
hard no on this one. My goodness, dinner plate wound
inside you?

Speaker 2 (01:25:15):
Yeah, talk about that.

Speaker 1 (01:25:16):
What does she mean by that, Danielle, I have no idea.

Speaker 8 (01:25:20):
I mean, I've seen people demonstrate what your womb goes
through when a baby is growing, and then when that
baby leaves the womb. That's just I mean, that's inside
your body. There's a lot of trauma that happens, and
then you know, things need to come out, and there
are scars, and there's ripping, and there's all kinds of stuff.

Speaker 7 (01:25:35):
Your pleasenta comes out right at the end. But that's
what your body is made for. Your body. Women's bodies
have all of this in there so that they can
do those things.

Speaker 8 (01:25:44):
Yeah, but it doesn't make it easy, no, or something
I want to do.

Speaker 7 (01:25:46):
I have to say it is easier for some than others.
And everybody's pregnancy journey obviously is total pretty different, and
even even from baby to baby, Like you can have
one baby and your pregnancy journey is fantastic. And the
next baby you are having the worst ever, you know,
so for everyone.

Speaker 8 (01:26:03):
And when people talk about oh man, they celebrate Mother's
Day so much more than Father's Day. This is why
this reason right here. Oh my god, dads just get
to stand there and clap, and then I've got the
abilical cord. Moms are getting shredded.

Speaker 3 (01:26:14):
Oh.

Speaker 7 (01:26:14):
I did think that she pushed out a nine pound,
five ounce baby with no drugs. What her Mother's Day
gift should be? I was thinking about everything.

Speaker 4 (01:26:22):
It should be everything.

Speaker 7 (01:26:23):
She should be pilling.

Speaker 8 (01:26:25):
Some sort of numbing cream.

Speaker 1 (01:26:28):
My god, it's insane. And I've said this for how
many years? Danielle, I'm just jealous that as a man,
I can't give birth to a child.

Speaker 7 (01:26:36):
You wanted to feel the feelings.

Speaker 1 (01:26:37):
I want to feel what you felt.

Speaker 4 (01:26:39):
Yeah, oh god, you are such a nice one.

Speaker 2 (01:26:42):
But you know, if anyone can tell that story, it's Nate.
Have you heard.

Speaker 19 (01:26:45):
Oh God?

Speaker 1 (01:26:46):
I didn't think we were going to take that, but I.

Speaker 2 (01:26:48):
Was trying to, I asked Danielle.

Speaker 20 (01:26:51):
I said, as a guy, how close is God taking
a very large number two to having a baby, because
I've taking a very large one that I could have
sworn was the size of a baby.

Speaker 7 (01:27:04):
Nte, please, but I'm not gonna lie because when you're
on the table, at least when I was on the
table giving birth to one of my kids, they did
say push like you have to go.

Speaker 10 (01:27:14):
Oh and right.

Speaker 1 (01:27:16):
Look me put it this way. I was in labor
for a good forty five minutes.

Speaker 7 (01:27:19):
That's not a long time.

Speaker 8 (01:27:21):
Sam said she had a fast labor and it was
thirteen hours.

Speaker 1 (01:27:25):
Okay, so you were a laborer for Hello that day, Nate, Hello, Ago?
How long ago was this? This was nine years ago?
I actually, Oh my god, So he's going to elementary school.
He's going to school by he's in elementary school. He's
a toddler, he's a beyond toddler age. Boy boy, he's
almost he's almost old enough to take the Disney World.

Speaker 18 (01:27:47):
Very very very good detail on where he was, what day, Yeah, face,
the time, how long he remembers it.

Speaker 10 (01:27:53):
It scarred him for life. It literally scarred me.

Speaker 1 (01:27:56):
I gave myself an a pisiotomy that day. Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
Okay, we're moving on now, moving on. I've made the decision.
We're moving on. But thanks for sharing.

Speaker 1 (01:28:05):
Remember when you had I said we're moving on. I
could just want to I said, we're moving on? Are
we moving on?

Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (01:28:12):
But I do want to see you pushing one around
Disney World and a stroller at nine years old.

Speaker 2 (01:28:18):
Let's get some sound in here.

Speaker 1 (01:28:19):
With gutt Yes, I'm glad I get to follow that.

Speaker 2 (01:28:22):
Well, hold on, do you hear Scary screaming that?

Speaker 10 (01:28:24):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:28:25):
When I say Garrett, why do you scream?

Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
God?

Speaker 1 (01:28:27):
Because it's it's a jovial moment, because I got it.

Speaker 23 (01:28:30):
Okay, I'm hearing and because of that, So from time
to time I'll be out and I'll hear my name
screaming at a bar or walking on the street. And
so thank you Scary for doing that.

Speaker 2 (01:28:40):
Listen to that you have I'm on, I'm scary to
do it.

Speaker 1 (01:28:44):
Yes, exactly. You're welcome there, you have it anytime it
was your wealth. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
You're a good American.

Speaker 10 (01:28:57):
Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:29:00):
Well, You've said it all every day. I've wiped a
record and it's growing too.

Speaker 23 (01:29:05):
So all right, let's move over to a talkback we
got on the iHeartRadio app from one of the teachers
that we donated to her projects on donors Choose so
here here she is thanking you.

Speaker 28 (01:29:18):
We want to thank you so much from the bottom
of my heart for filling my donors Shoes project.

Speaker 4 (01:29:23):
This is Miss Stagos.

Speaker 28 (01:29:25):
I'm a teacher New Britain, Connecticut, and I truly appreciate
your generosity.

Speaker 1 (01:29:32):
We donated money to classrooms all across the country, all
the way up and down the Eastern seaboard, from Connecticut,
further up and all the way down to South Florida.

Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
It was a great day.

Speaker 1 (01:29:43):
Donorschuns dot org, slash Elvis go and donate and help
these teachers.

Speaker 23 (01:29:46):
And hers was for prizes for her classroom for good behavior.
Oh cool, there we go. No one in this room
get one of those.

Speaker 1 (01:29:53):
All right.

Speaker 23 (01:29:54):
So last night Stephen Colbert sat down with former President
Obama at his library in Chicago and talked about any
of things, including remember a few months ago where President
Obama was on a podcast talking about aliens in Area
fifty one.

Speaker 1 (01:30:06):
So Colbert said, are they.

Speaker 24 (01:30:08):
Real if if there were aliens or aliens, spaceships or
anything under the control of the United States government that
we knew about seeing photographs, what have you? I promise
you some guy guarding the installation would have taken a
selfie with one of the aliens and send it to

(01:30:28):
his girlfriend the present.

Speaker 1 (01:30:29):
That's true though, Wow, so he still has not admitted
anything now, has he?

Speaker 5 (01:30:33):
No?

Speaker 23 (01:30:34):
And the way he said installation too, which is like
a weird word to say for like guarding aliens. So
a very cool interview.

Speaker 1 (01:30:41):
Check it out there they're there, he knows damn well.

Speaker 23 (01:30:44):
But he is true though, like if whoever was in charge,
you got to think that will be on social media before.

Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
You know it.

Speaker 8 (01:30:49):
What if they don't stop and pictures they're aliens, They could.

Speaker 23 (01:30:51):
Be completely we don't know, they could be in test tubes. Well,
so here's something totally different. Do you do you know
what screaming sausage sounds like when it's in the pantas?

Speaker 1 (01:30:59):
Yes, I do. And you said you were gonna play
this in sound today. This is not a new sound
for me. I've made many a sausage scream.

Speaker 2 (01:31:06):
What do you mean by that?

Speaker 9 (01:31:07):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (01:31:09):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
Really no, You put them in the you put them
in the pan and they contract to do their thing
and and and they scream like this like this. Oh no,
look Gandhi is feeling sorry for sausage sound like little pigs?

Speaker 2 (01:31:29):
Well they weren't one time.

Speaker 3 (01:31:30):
I know.

Speaker 1 (01:31:32):
That's not.

Speaker 2 (01:31:33):
That's not what that is though.

Speaker 1 (01:31:34):
That's you know what that is.

Speaker 2 (01:31:37):
It's not it's not it's not a lie.

Speaker 8 (01:31:39):
It's the spirit of the pig screaming, Oh my god.

Speaker 23 (01:31:42):
All right, So we all know Billy Jean from from
Michael Jackson right now, spirit, Yes, we do. So with
the success of the movie, they they found this video
of from nineteen eighty one Michael Jackson working out the
lyrics to Billy Jean while in the studio. So you're

(01:32:02):
gonna hear a little bit of Billy Jean, but Michael
still trying to figure out the rest of the lyrics.

Speaker 1 (01:32:09):
Here we go.

Speaker 10 (01:32:14):
She commonly said.

Speaker 19 (01:32:19):
I love that good.

Speaker 1 (01:32:23):
So he just kind of just sings gibberish and the
chorus seems.

Speaker 17 (01:32:27):
That you don't fill what do kill?

Speaker 7 (01:32:39):
What to do?

Speaker 4 (01:32:44):
Jeeks?

Speaker 2 (01:32:46):
Isn't that weird?

Speaker 1 (01:32:48):
You hear a genius at work like that?

Speaker 2 (01:32:51):
That's crazy? And there you go get.

Speaker 1 (01:32:57):
Right there.

Speaker 2 (01:32:58):
That was great. Thank you so much, Sarett were Shade.
You're a good American. Hey, you know what, we're not
playing this Olivia Redrigo song enough drop dead.

Speaker 4 (01:33:05):
I love it.

Speaker 14 (01:33:06):
I alte we play it more, and I'm gonna start
the movement. Not that kind of movement, Nape drop dead,
it's Olivia Rodrigo love this song, drop Dead, Olivia Rodrigo
love that song.

Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
Gotta play more of that? Do you mind if you
play more of that?

Speaker 4 (01:33:20):
Please?

Speaker 2 (01:33:20):
We'll get that in.

Speaker 1 (01:33:21):
Hey, we're just talking with Christian Sanchez from NBC six's
South of Florida Live in Claudia.

Speaker 2 (01:33:27):
Is that segment we did? Is that going to be
on tomorrow?

Speaker 12 (01:33:30):
That is going to be on tomorrow at twelve thirty
and Tyez is making herd it big Davey, you want
tiki tomorrow?

Speaker 8 (01:33:37):
It can be really fun.

Speaker 1 (01:33:38):
There you go to again explain to everyone listening what
t t is, because only people that listen in Miami.

Speaker 12 (01:33:44):
No, it's your cheese, may you'r hot piping tea, everything
that's happening in South Florida.

Speaker 8 (01:33:48):
Because there's never really a dull moment in the three
oh five and the ninety five four?

Speaker 1 (01:33:51):
Come on, where do you get this energy? You can
many many?

Speaker 2 (01:33:56):
How many cafecitos have you had today?

Speaker 1 (01:33:57):
Do you want to know?

Speaker 9 (01:33:58):
Zero?

Speaker 1 (01:33:59):
Wow, that's all natural and this is all natural?

Speaker 2 (01:34:02):
Look at that?

Speaker 1 (01:34:04):
All right, we'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (01:34:06):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 9 (01:34:07):
Was that funny Elvis ran in the morning show.

Speaker 1 (01:34:10):
I told you we're back. Hello, let's talk about it.
You won't talk about pasta night, Danielle.

Speaker 7 (01:34:16):
Oh sure, we love pasta night in my house. I
think you said we could probably have every night as
pasta night in my head.

Speaker 1 (01:34:21):
You see, I happen to agree with that, and I
have to stop myself some night, you know, because we
have the Silver Palette pasta sauces. Yeah, they're all you know,
there's just loaded up in the in the pantry. You're like, well,
let's do pasta again tonight. Well, why can't you know?
Why why shouldn't you other than you know, a lot
of pasta.

Speaker 7 (01:34:37):
First of all, there's so many different types of sauce
from our friends in Silver Palette, and there's so many
different types of pasta that you could have posta night
every night and not be bored.

Speaker 4 (01:34:46):
It's great.

Speaker 2 (01:34:46):
The reason why we love them one of the reasons
they're delicious.

Speaker 1 (01:34:49):
But our friend Peter Harris and his family, the same
people who brought our favorite cereal, Grainberry Cereal, brought us
Silver Palate pasta sauce. I mean you're like, well, what
are the two men the common can we combine them,
I mean show support. Silver Palette Pasta sauce our go
to for pasta night. Nine amazing varieties made with vine
ripe and San Marzano and California tomatoes all mixed together.

(01:35:13):
It tastes home made, real ingredients absolutely absolutely no added sugar,
add all edel.

Speaker 7 (01:35:18):
I want you to make a pizza pie with the
San Marzano tomato basil blend. It is so good on
I don't know why I say square pizza. I think
it tastes even better on a square pizza.

Speaker 1 (01:35:32):
Your tongue knows the shape of the of the pizza
so good. Yeah, oh my god, this pizza has a
ninety degree angle. It tastes much better like.

Speaker 7 (01:35:40):
A Sicilian slice.

Speaker 2 (01:35:42):
I love that.

Speaker 9 (01:35:42):
I do like it.

Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
I like those also.

Speaker 1 (01:35:44):
They have two special special recipes from Silver Palate. They
have their Coachina Antica with its fresh balanced flavor and
the Oragan Arganico I can't talk Organico Bello maybe one
hundred percent organic and Radiots available only at Whole Foods
for those two. But wherever you buy your your groceries,

(01:36:04):
look for the Silver Palette Pasta sauces.

Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
You'll love them as much as we do.

Speaker 9 (01:36:14):
This is Elvis Durant in the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (01:36:17):
Got any people pleasers here in the room listening right now?
Are you?

Speaker 5 (01:36:21):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
You're not Gandhi. Gandhi didn't think about it.

Speaker 4 (01:36:25):
She's not me.

Speaker 2 (01:36:26):
Not a people please say.

Speaker 1 (01:36:28):
Look, I've always been.

Speaker 2 (01:36:29):
I don't know, and I don't know why.

Speaker 5 (01:36:30):
It's.

Speaker 1 (01:36:30):
Psychologists can tell you maybe a myriad of different reasons
why people want to please others. Yeah, I guess you
know you feel inferior, You feel like you got to
overcompensate or be extra n ie, go out of.

Speaker 8 (01:36:43):
Your way sometimes self esteem things.

Speaker 1 (01:36:46):
Yeah, because they otherwise they may not like you. I
don't want to be that person. Good for you, and
I'm trying my best to be a cold, calculating bitch
just like just like you. Thank you.

Speaker 7 (01:36:59):
So I want to be more Why would you want
to be more cold?

Speaker 4 (01:37:02):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:37:03):
So if I found in digging around on Instagram yesterday,
I was, you know, cleaning out my my watch, your
m a collar algorithm. But I went to all this
stuff I've saved, because you can.

Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
Save all sorts of things.

Speaker 9 (01:37:16):
Uh huh.

Speaker 1 (01:37:17):
There's like five hundred, five hundred million shows available of
prep that I've saved.

Speaker 4 (01:37:23):
Got anything good in there?

Speaker 6 (01:37:24):
Well?

Speaker 1 (01:37:24):
I found it.

Speaker 2 (01:37:25):
Okay, ways to become cold.

Speaker 7 (01:37:29):
Winter one, take off your shirt.

Speaker 1 (01:37:32):
Yeah, don't give hugs only handshakes. People will respect you more.
Is this true? Really?

Speaker 4 (01:37:38):
Don't mean would depend who? Yeah, I'd feel weird if
you gave me a handshake.

Speaker 7 (01:37:42):
Also, in South Florida, everybody hugs and kisses.

Speaker 2 (01:37:45):
Speak less and listen more. This is a good one.

Speaker 13 (01:37:48):
Good.

Speaker 1 (01:37:49):
Don't trust absolutely anyone. Okay, don't trust anyone ever. Don't
bow your head to anyone. Everyone will be afraid of
you if you don't bow your head. Just like keep
your head.

Speaker 4 (01:38:00):
That's like a cultural thing too, though, is it?

Speaker 7 (01:38:02):
And I think speak I hate to say this, but
speak less and listen more. I feel like when you
listen you're a nicer, warmer person. So I think that's wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:38:11):
I'm sorry, did you say something?

Speaker 13 (01:38:14):
Oh kay?

Speaker 1 (01:38:15):
Now what I want to do is and I think
this is important for all of us. We need to
stop explaining ourselves so much.

Speaker 8 (01:38:20):
Yes, yeah, I do that.

Speaker 1 (01:38:22):
If someone says, hey, let's go have lunch, just say
I can't make it. You don't have to say you
know the reasons why you can't make Oh, I can't
because X, Y and Z guilty, guilty, We don't owe
any explanation at all? Or do we come across as
cold if we don't give you an explanation?

Speaker 9 (01:38:39):
It does.

Speaker 8 (01:38:40):
But I also think you don't owe people an explanation.
And I read that the fewer words you use in general,
the more powerful you present yourself to be.

Speaker 1 (01:38:48):
But Froggy, you don't owe anyone anything on why you're
not available or whatever.

Speaker 24 (01:38:54):
You just what.

Speaker 18 (01:38:55):
I agree with you that you don't owe it to them.
But if somebody says, hey, a bunch of us are
going out tonight, would you like to come?

Speaker 5 (01:39:01):
No?

Speaker 7 (01:39:04):
No, exactly, that does come across a little room.

Speaker 1 (01:39:06):
Okay, well no, but I can't make it.

Speaker 2 (01:39:08):
Is different. It's like I can't make it. Inferring.

Speaker 4 (01:39:10):
What if you say I.

Speaker 7 (01:39:11):
Wish that I could, but unfortunately I cannot make it.

Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
No, I would say I I wish I could, but
I don't wish I could. I don't want to be
with you.

Speaker 11 (01:39:19):
No, I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:39:20):
So, what I'm reading in this meme, which I'm loving,
is confident people say what they mean and they just
move on.

Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:39:27):
Another thing master the silence when someone just respects you
most people panic immediately start responding. Rather than responding when
someone is insulting to you, just pause and not say anything,
and they'll try to loop back around and come at
you again.

Speaker 7 (01:39:45):
They try to overcompensate.

Speaker 2 (01:39:47):
Yeah, I know, I squirm, they'll squirm.

Speaker 7 (01:39:51):
I know when that's happening. And I call people out
on that. In my head all the time, I'm like, oh,
they're all over compensating, right now, are they?

Speaker 14 (01:39:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:39:58):
Watch them squirm. If someone says something really rude to you,
just sit there in silence and just look at them stare. Yeah,
watch them they'll backtrack. Uh. Another thing is so important,
and it's hard to do on this show because we
talk about our private lives all the time. Guard your privacy. Yeah,
don't tell people what your plans are, don't overt over

(01:40:20):
share your struggles in life. Don't tell everyone your every move,
and just tell people what they need to know.

Speaker 2 (01:40:28):
That's it, right. Yeah, that's a hard one to do
for some people.

Speaker 1 (01:40:33):
Not if you're cold, if your work, if you're in
a toxic workplace, you gotta quit crappy relationship, leave friends
you disrespect and disrespect you. Goodbye. Dead end situations out
people who drain you delete them? Why was it? We're laughing?
I mean, this is actually great, but there you're making

(01:40:54):
this is like black and white stuff.

Speaker 25 (01:40:55):
But sometimes people are in financial situations so they can't
get out of it, or they're they're in the mud
in some small town okay, and the friends that are
around them are the toxic people.

Speaker 2 (01:41:04):
Okay, but I'm not talking about anyone but you right now?

Speaker 1 (01:41:06):
Scary are you?

Speaker 2 (01:41:07):
Are you in a financial problem?

Speaker 5 (01:41:09):
Right now?

Speaker 10 (01:41:09):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:41:09):
Then do what I say.

Speaker 8 (01:41:11):
I think it's just very generic, like yeah, duh, advice,
not happy, get happy, don't like where you aren't leave
like of course everybody wants to do those things, but
there's a lot there is more that goes into it.

Speaker 1 (01:41:23):
Yeah, okay. Controlling your reaction, yeah, not response, but reaction
to what people say to you. What they want you
to do is they want you to be angry. They
want you to be defensive and emotional, Wow, scattered, reactive.
You know what you should give them? Absolutely nothing. Yes,
people say rude crap to you look at them like,

(01:41:43):
what the hell?

Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
Whatever?

Speaker 8 (01:41:45):
Yeah, I read that the opposite of love is not hate,
it's actually indifference because there's no emotion there whatsoever. So
you should just give people nothing if you're really trying
to make a point.

Speaker 1 (01:41:55):
How wonderful it would be if if there's chaos erupting
around you and you just you just actually just stay composed.

Speaker 4 (01:42:03):
That's how Nate is all the time. Because you can't
hear it. It's incredible.

Speaker 7 (01:42:09):
You just shake your head at the person.

Speaker 1 (01:42:11):
It says here the truth here, that is, nobody's going
to respect you more than you respect yourself. You tolerate disrespect,
They learn that it's okay to disrespect you. You accept
less than you deserve. Well, guess what, that's all you're
gonna get. Be that person that no one wants to
mess with because they can't get anything out of you.

(01:42:34):
It's not about being an ahole or intimidating people. I
don't think. It's just about being secure about yourself. So
clear about your value. You got to be clear about
your value. How important is that advice? What is your value?

Speaker 2 (01:42:46):
Do you have high value?

Speaker 4 (01:42:48):
Are you asking me?

Speaker 2 (01:42:49):
Everyone?

Speaker 6 (01:42:50):
I do?

Speaker 2 (01:42:52):
Yeah, I'd like to think I have high value. That
to me, that's not high value.

Speaker 1 (01:42:56):
I have high value in my eyes. But I don't
know how others.

Speaker 2 (01:42:59):
See what you're saying. You're you're heaven and haun Okay,
but all the.

Speaker 8 (01:43:03):
People I know who call themselves a high value person
are of very low value. So I'm nervous to say
that out loud. I think I have high value, but
that's to me. Maybe other people don't feel that way.

Speaker 1 (01:43:12):
That's okay, doesn't matter my point.

Speaker 2 (01:43:14):
It doesn't matter what they think you have high value.
Do you see what I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (01:43:17):
Yeah, it sounds like Andrew Tate the high value man thing.

Speaker 2 (01:43:19):
Oh no, no, it does not. I'm not don't you
Andrew Tate me.

Speaker 4 (01:43:22):
I'm not saying you are.

Speaker 8 (01:43:23):
I'm saying that's the men who say that the high
value man. It is the Andrew Tates of the world,
that exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:43:28):
But this is the high value of Like, yeah, I
am worth more than the crap you're dishing out to me.
Not you now, But but you know, to be unbothered
by the nonsense that people dish your way. Ah, that's
an ultimate We should all be working.

Speaker 7 (01:43:42):
It's easier said than.

Speaker 2 (01:43:43):
Done, it is, but it's so easy to say it's
easier said than done.

Speaker 1 (01:43:47):
That is true.

Speaker 18 (01:43:48):
But you also control the access that people have to you.
So if you if somebody treats you bad, and you
give them access to you to treat you bad again,
You're now at fault. You better off to just cut
your access to that pert and they can't treat you
bad any longer.

Speaker 7 (01:44:01):
But sometimes you can't cut your access. If you're in
like a situation like you know that you can't get
out of.

Speaker 8 (01:44:06):
You don't know that whole easier said than done thing.
Isn't everything easier said than done. That's the whole point is,
don't say anything, they.

Speaker 4 (01:44:15):
Do it right.

Speaker 2 (01:44:15):
If ever you want to better.

Speaker 1 (01:44:16):
If ever you want to better yourself in any or
all phases of your life, you have to work harder
than whatever. Anyway, here's what I want you to do.
I want all of us to do. And look I'm
talking to myself too, because look I'm the I'm the
big softie. You know, I'll just cave. Stop caving so much.
You don't have to be mean about it. But if
someone asks something of you that's just not realistic, then

(01:44:41):
don't give it to them.

Speaker 8 (01:44:43):
Don't inconvenience yourself.

Speaker 13 (01:44:45):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:44:45):
If somebody would not inconvenience themselves for you, well, that.

Speaker 2 (01:44:48):
Said, you're all inconveniencing me I'm leaving. I'm walking out
the store.

Speaker 6 (01:44:52):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:44:53):
We got so much to get to here. Can we
move to a positive note because I think I'm bumming
everyone out. I'm bumming you out. But you need to
hear the truth. I need to hear the truth. Donors choose.
How much have we donated today? Andy? We are at
eighteen thousand dollars, well, a little bit left.

Speaker 2 (01:45:09):
We have two thousand dollars left.

Speaker 1 (01:45:11):
Oh, the orchestra's playing, these people playing these instruments, loads,
the violins are going crazy. Oh, I hear it going.
The last two thousand dollars okay, boom.

Speaker 2 (01:45:20):
We just spent it on the band budget.

Speaker 22 (01:45:23):
But we've given to schools in Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida,
Texas and Indiana.

Speaker 7 (01:45:30):
Nice and can I put out a is it a
pe ye?

Speaker 1 (01:45:35):
Yeah? Absolutely?

Speaker 7 (01:45:36):
I want So. There's someone her name is Amanda Rose
Rose Amanda three to six on Instagram. She wants us
to help because she's down the Jersey Shore. She needs
microphones for her theater class. But she's not sending me
her information. So if you are listening, Amanda Rose, send
it to me so we can donate to what you need.

Speaker 1 (01:45:55):
We have microphones. We have like four microphones here in
the room, and you can get rid of right now.
They take Nates, take Scary's microphone. He doesn't even have one.

Speaker 2 (01:46:02):
We're getting rid of it, good one, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:46:05):
Hey at the bottom, the bottom line here is go
to DonorsChoose dot org and if you want to go
to Donorschowes dot org slash elevis if you want either
way donate fine, find out at school in your area,
in your town, maybe a school you went to, and donate.

Speaker 2 (01:46:19):
To some of the projects that are listed there.

Speaker 22 (01:46:20):
Yeah, a lot of them were summer schools too, because
that's starting up very shortly, so people need to make
those classrooms welcoming and inviting. So yeah, there were a
lot of projects that we funded that dealt with summer school.

Speaker 1 (01:46:31):
All right, cool, Hey Mother's Day, do not beat amar
On and forget Mother's Day. Why don't you get that
done today? And I say you do it at Macy's

Speaker 7 (01:47:23):

my mother would say, a handbag.

Speaker 1 (01:47:30):
I liked it.

Speaker 2 (01:47:31):
Danielle went to exactly for her mother the stuff that
she wants.

Speaker 7 (01:47:34):
Exactly exactly to borrow it exactly right.
