(00:00):
But you may have heard the storytoday that former social worker and former girlfriend
of the former chief of the AuroraPolice Department has now been sentenced to four
years in prison for calling in afake child abuse claim that led to an
investigation of an Aurora City councilwoman,Danielle Jorinsky. And I thought, you
(00:22):
know what, I wonder how Daniellefeels about this. So I reached out
and Danielle, welcome back to theshow. Thanks for having me. Mandy.
This has got to be I mean, do you feel in any way
like this is any kind of closure. I mean that you know that she
is going to pay I think agood price for what she did to you.
(00:44):
I do, I do. Ifeel very good about today's outcome.
I mean, let's be honest, these charges were probation eligible and she has
so for her to get four yearsin prison, the maximum was fix the
judge with four years in prison.I am very happy with that. And
I know I'm already getting messages andcalls. People are unhappy, They're upset,
(01:07):
they think she should have gotten more. And what I want to say
to everybody is I'm okay with it, and I am at peace with this
because This gives me enough time toget through the upcoming trial for the fake
medical records, which I think maybepeople are forgetting about, and she's facing
serious time on those charges. SoI am at peace with the four year
(01:32):
prison sentence today and I look forwardto moving forward. Well, and what
Danielle is talking about in September,Robin Nessetta will face another trial because in
order to this is this is soinsane, like this is like lifetime movie
level insane to try and get outof appearing in court for the charges against
her about the false claim against DanielleDrinsky. She lied to the court and
(01:57):
she submitted fake document and said shehad a brain tumor, I mean,
and did it in such an incompetentway that it's almost stunning that anyone thought
she was going to get away withthis. So she now has to face
charges for that. What kind oftime would she be looking at for that?
Because there's no doubt what she didthere. This is, in my
mind, is slam dunk, right, And that's why I'm really curious to
(02:21):
see if she takes a plea, you know how this goes. But on
the new eight charges, I believesix of them are felonies. Three of
those hold up to twelve years, and so if the judge a sentence is
(02:42):
heavy on those, if he runsthem, you know, consecutive instead of
concurrent to the four years that she'sbeen given today, I mean, she
could be spending a long time inprison. You know, I saw some
comments from you earlier today that yousaid, look, you know, she's
shown no remorse. She made usgo through this trial. Do you do
you feel like that now she didmake a statement at her sentencing. Do
(03:07):
you feel like that was just hercovering her rear end or do you really
believe that she has no remorse forwhat she's done even though she's been found
guilty. Now, this woman hasno remorse, and Mandy, she has
no soul, period. She hasno remorse. Has she ever apologized to
you in any way, shape orform other than in court right before sentencing?
(03:29):
No? Never. And I don'tknow what was shown. I haven't
seen all of the news coverage ofthe ship, but it was pointed out
many times how actually aggressive she hadbeen with me in court when I was
on the stand crying giving my testimony, she was winking at me and blowing
kisses at me. Oh my god, she's crazy. She's crazy. The
(03:52):
last time I showed up to court, I was standing a foot away from
the DA. He and I weretalking. There was plenty of room behind
him, plenty of room behind mefor her to go around. She walked
in between the two of us andstood nose to nose at me and stared
me down. So so this womanhas no remorse, no remorse. She
has tried to intimidate me and harassme through this entire process and then shows
(04:17):
up today saying she's sorry, No, no, you're not. Wow,
that is just I'm telling you,Daniel, Let's get together. We're going
to write a script. We're goingto sell it to Lifetime because I feel
this there's like enough craziness in thisstory. The good news is is that
you had already been exonerated. Andthe good news is I hope, I
(04:39):
hope that your child is not youknow, does not carry any sort of
emotional scars from this entire experience, which I know for you that's not possible.
But I do hope your child wasyoung enough that you know you all
can move on and put this behindyou, knowing that she is going to
pay a penalty. For just beingcrazy. Yes, and I think today
(05:00):
is a big step towards that formy family and I because this not only
not only did I go through this, but my parents went through this.
Yeah, and you know I selfsurrendered my son to them. I mean
it is a huge step for allof us to move forward and heal.
(05:21):
Now. I know that you've beenvery active in trying to draw light to
the fact that the child protective Servicessystem, at least we know for a
fact under Robin Issita, was abusedby the people that are supposed to be
protecting children. Have you been ableto dig up or uncover any more information
or have you been able to workwith them in order to ensure that this
(05:43):
doesn't happen to anyone else, No, not at all. In fact,
their stance is this is just aone off. You know, this has
never happened, It'll never happen again. There's nothing to see here. Everything's
great in our system. The bottomline is this is a system that is
weaponized. It is a weaponized systemthat anybody, anybody with you being in
(06:05):
the public light, maybe you yourself, anybody you know, you say or
do something that somebody doesn't like, they can call in anonymously and report that
they saw you doing whatever to yourchildren, and it launches not just an
investigation and extremely invasive investigation that goeson for weeks and weeks and weeks looming
(06:30):
over you. This is a systemthat is designed to make people feel crazy,
Yeah, with a looming thoughts ofpotentially losing their children. Well,
Danielle, I'm glad it's this part'sover. Now. Are you gonna have
to testify in the next trial orare you just paying attention to it?
You know, I'm not sure yet. And it seems to me that this
(06:54):
one is between her and the court, do you know what I mean?
Like, because she she falsified documentationto the so I think she's going to
have to answer for that, butwe of course will be watching what happens
with her in the future. I'mjust I'm happy that this is over for
you, you know, I'm happy. I hope at least that this woman
will never have the opportunity to dosomething like this again. And I'm hoping
(07:15):
that she's going to have plenty oftime to reflect and maybe get some help
for her obvious mental disorders. Yeah, I agree, daniel Dorinsky. I
appreciate you taking time for me today. Absolutely thanks so much,
