IT'S TIME TO GET YOUR BALLOTS IN! Y'all it is time to vote in this primary election. Ross did a voter guide here and after I started mine it's exactly the same as his so just use it. In DougCo the only race on the ballot that matters is the County Commission race with John Carson in it, so please vote for him. Deborah Flora joins me at 2:30 to discuss.

(00:00):
A woman that you've heard of severaltimes on this program. She is the
candidate in the fourth congressional district thatI proudly filled up my ballot for Dep.
Floria. Welcome back to the show. Thank you, Maddy. It's
so great to be here. Ican't believe it's just about thirty six hours
now it's filled. The primary isover. But it's great to be with
you, great to talk with youagain, great to talk to your listeners.

(00:22):
And I just want to start bysaying, if you've not sent your
ballot in, please do so,because it is a historic low turnout across
the country, which means conversely, your vote has incredible weight and can really
be the one to make the difference, as i'd like to say, between
more DC drama and dysfunction or newprincipal leadership that can get our country back

(00:43):
on track. I'd be honored toearn your vote. Well, And this
is you know, I'm getting alot of stuff on the text line because
Ross did a voter guide and thenI went to do a voter guide and
I'm like, I'm going to saythe same thing Ross is going to say,
So I'm not going to do that, but there are a lot of
races that are uncontested on a lotof these ballots, depending on where you
are. If you're in chef Co, there's a lot of uncontested stuff.
So people are tempted to say, look, you know what, I can't

(01:06):
vote for most of this stuff. But if you have contested races, even
if you only have one contested race, that vote means so much that you
don't even have to if it's uncontested, just don't even worry about the rest
of it. That if you haveany contested races in your ballot or on
your ballot, you could be thedeciding factor. And that's not being dramatic,
because some of these races are goingto come down to a handful of

(01:29):
votes in one way or the other. Yeah, without it down and particularly
if you're in CD four, andjust so everyone knows, don't presume you're
not because it has been redistricted. It is all of Douglas County, all
of the Eastern Plains, it isLoveland, it is Wellington and Windsor.
It's a huge district. And thisone is particularly important because there is the

(01:51):
opportunity to choose a candidate for thefourth Congressional District. Manny, you and
I have talked about it. You'vetalked about a lot. There's six people
on the ballot for the Republican nomination. But the reason why the Gazette endorsed
me, why I received the endorsementof not just the Douglas County Sheriff,
but the Elbert County Sheriff, manymayors, many city council members, of

(02:13):
veterans, etc. Is because reallythey are indicating clearly that it's come down
to a two women race between LaurenBobert and myself, and when you look
at the polls, I'm actually theone that can win and keep this seat
and work to get our country backon track. I'd like to say too,
that we've seen really great voter engagementsince I last botch you, Manue.

(02:34):
We had a border security and PublicSafety forum last week. We had
well over one hundred different voters showup. It was with the Douglas County
Sheriff. It was with John Kellner, the district attorney. It was with
John Fabrigatory, former Ice, alsoa CD six candidate, and we were
talking about the number one issue ofour day and what I want to say
to voters is in a period wheremany feel like maybe their votes don't matter.

(02:58):
This is exactly the time that itmatters. Yeah, and we've seen
a lot of great feedback when we'vebeen knocking on doors, when we've been
doing honkin ways, when we havebeen out there phone calling folks and meeting
them face to face. This isexactly when your vote can make a difference.
And you know the reality is,if we want something different in DC,

(03:19):
it's time to elect a different kindof a candidate. I'm not a
preer politician, and I'm not someonethat's involved in just social mediabate and celebrity.
Well, and I've been talking overthe last week or so, like
I just had a conversation with mydaughter's orthodonist, right, and he was
like, you know, I don'treally know who he went to a debate
and he said, you know, this person said things I really liked.

(03:42):
And I said, I really likethat person, but I don't think that
person can win. So the thingI want to talk about is there are
a lot of people in this race, and I think a vast majority of
them cannot win this race. Theydon't have any support in the in the
polls that i've seen and it doesn'tmean they're not good people. It doesn't
mean that they're not you know, they have it served the community. Well,
it just means they can't win thisprimary. So I'm asking people,

(04:05):
and I said this to Mike worthAdonis, I'm like, I sure wish
you would consider Deborah Flora because Ido believe she can win, and I
do believe that if she is thenominee, she can win in the fall.
And my concern here is, andwe've already seen it, McCorkle is
almost the presumed nominee. He hasan opponent in Trish caliv Ra say who.

(04:26):
I actually really like Trish. Ithink she's very reasonable and I had
a nice chat with her at theWeld County event. But he's the presumed
nominee and outside money is already pouringinto his coffers because people want him to
run against Lauren Bobert. So ifLauren is the candidate, it changes the
entire dynamic of this race. Wesee what's happened in CD three where Adam

(04:49):
Frisch has continued to fundraise off LaurenBobert even though she's not even in that
race. So if people would assumewhoever wins this prime is going to win
the general election. I think that'sprobably true, but it is not the
luck that has been in the pastfew years, especially if whoever the Democratic

(05:10):
candidate is gets an influx of youknow, three, four or five million
dollars of spending. Because Lauren isa candidate, it's it's the situation that
she has helped create with her bombasticpersonality. She is the most loathed Republican,
she and Marjorie Taylor Green, andit's going to get a lot of
national attention. So I just wantto make that point, right, I

(05:31):
just want and I think a lotof people in the fourth are irritated that
she carpet bag over to bring allthat drama to our district. It's a
great point because I think the daythat we say that will never happen in
Colorado or that will never happen inCD four is long gone. Yeah,
and you really outlined it so well. Lauren Bobert almost lost her home seat

(05:53):
in one term. This is beforeall the headlines. She only wanted by
five hundred votes, and that Citythree is a it's safe for publican seat
with the right candidate, it's anR plus eight, let's say, meaning
it's got an eight point spread towardsRepublicans, So the problem wasn't the seat.
And then polling clearly showed she wasgoing to lose CD three this time,
so she jumped six hundred miles awayto come here, and millions of

(06:16):
dollars of Democrat money flowed into thatrace simply to beat her. It's very
disingenuous for her or anyone to saythat money isn't coming. In fact,
whether it's Ike mccorkyl and a recentpoll showing her losing to him by double
digits, it was actually an increasein how much she'd lose from the first
pole, or you go to TrishCavalry's her website. Everything for both of

(06:39):
them is all about Lauren Bobert. The Democrats want Lauren Bobert to be the
nominee, and you better believe millionsof dollars will flow in. The reason
why I agree with you, MantiNotachs because I'm running, but that I'm
the one that can win and keepthis seat. This seat is now seventy
three percent suburban. It is nowforty nine percent un affiliated. Douglas County

(07:00):
is half of the electorate. Wehave got to hold it there for the
future of what this beachhead means forbalance in Colorado, and we have to
have someone that resonates there. Iwill work hard to represent everyone in the
Eastern Plains, and I love thepeople out there. There's some of the
salt of the earth and they definitelyshould be made sure to have a seat
at the table. I will dothat. But we have to hold this

(07:23):
seat where the population center is wherewe risk losing it, and I am
that candidate. And to be clear, you cannot mail your ballot today or
tomorrow. You must go to adrop box, or you can go vote
in person tomorrow if you want togo old school, which I kind of
like the whole although now it's notas dramatic as it was when we have
the curtains that would slam shut onthe voter booth. But that being said,

(07:46):
do not put your ballot in themail. Do not put your ballot
in the mail. Find out wherethe closest drop box is. Most of
them are located around cop shops ortown halls, depending on what where you
are in your community. We gotto deliver it by seven pm tomorrow in
order to have it count regardless ofwho you're voting for. I realize that
we do have a lot of LaurenVobert supporters in this audience. This goes

(08:09):
for everyone, regardless of who you'resupporting for, if you want your vote
to count, and because of thenature of this race, I believe every
vote is going to count. Ithink that it's going to matter greatly that
you turned in your ballot without adoubt. We've been saying that you know
far and wide, and even onEmmelo we put out we put a link
so you can find out where yourballot box is. It will not count

(08:33):
if you mail it. You haveto drop it off at a secured ballot
box, and please please do that. You know one other thing that I
want to say to Mandy about theimportance of this race. This race is
about who's going to be the Republicannominee for the Forest Congressional District. I'm
asking for Erwin's vote as someone whohas been living, working and fighting alongside

(08:54):
my neighbors in CD four for years. I do believe that it's represented in
government. Not jumping from the otherside of the state because you're going to
lose there and then coming six hundredmiles over here. But it's also important
because it's important for the future ofour party and also of the republic.
And here's what I mean. We'vegot to a point where it is so
dysfunctional in DC. Nothing is gettingdone for the people, even within the

(09:18):
Republican Caucus. The last one ofthe last times that had closed door meeting,
it broke into fisticuffs, shouting, people walked out. It is time
that we send principled leadership to DC. My goal is to help rebuild the
party, help down ballot races. You can be an independent and not care
about the Republican Party, but thereality is we're really have gotten to where

(09:39):
the two extreme prines of the partyare what are kind of wagging the tail,
wagging the dog versus standing on principleand policy finding to secure the border,
cut inflation, revitalize our economy, pull government back in again, but
do it in a way where Iwill focus on helping down ballot races so
we will all so finally see somebalance in Denver as well. That's one

(10:03):
of my focuses. Deborah Flori ismy guest. She's running in the fourth
Congressional district Deborah, I know thatyou're going to be out there telling people
to get out the vote, andhopefully we will chat after the primary and
we will celebrate your victory in theprimary. That is what I'm hoping will
happen. I do have a coupleof people, and I don't know how
this has been missed. This guysaid, still haven't heard her say she's

(10:24):
pro life. Hut. I mean, I feel like you've said that multiple
times on this show. Yes.Yeah. You know what's interesting is we
have had gosh, I've lost trackof the number of forums we've had.
We've had at least ten. I'vewon more of those stropols than all of
the other candidates combined, and that'sbeen a repeated issue. I am pro

(10:46):
life. In fact, I servedtwo terms on care net, which is
the national board that supports pregnancy resourcecenters and women in crisis. Is an
area where I've been standing and fightingfour years. So you know, that's
something that it's a very public record. We've talked about a lot, but
I'm happy to answer that. Youknow that textures question, and by the

(11:07):
way, I do encourage everyone pleasego to Deborah Flora dot com. I'm
actually the only candidate that has writtenout a detail plan listing everything I'm standing
and fighting for, called the Roadmapto Restoring America. And then two weeks
ago, right before we had thisvery very successful and important conversation about border
security and public safety where I wasdown at the border last year for an

(11:28):
extended period, we released an evenmore in depth policy about securing the border,
including building the wall, defunding sanctuarycities, making sure that we stop
catch and release, we restate thestay in Mexico Poli. We we reform
asylum so it's not just a ticketto come all the way up to the
United States of America where we're overwhelmingour system. So I've written everything out

(11:50):
and I encourage everyone go to DeborahFlora dot com. All right, deb
thank you. I'll let you getback to calling and getting people to get
out the vote, and we'll talkto you again after the primary. That
sounds great. Thank you so much, Mandy, Thank you to all the
listeners. Please do put your ballotin a secure dropbox today or tomorrow.
Thank you so much. Take care. All right. That is Deborah Flora
