News Radio seven forty k TRH.It is time now for the news.

(01:30):
Here's Sheriff Fryar. Good morning everyone. It is now five oh one on
news radio seven forty k TRH,our top story this hour. I think
the most compelling argument that Lowell madeto the jury was stating the last name
of his client. I mean, this is Biden Town. Jury deliberations continuing
this Monday morning and the Hunter Bidenfederal gun trial in Delaware. Yes,

(01:53):
legal analyst Jonathan Turley you just heard. He says the defense is depending on
a home court advance. They're notasking for the jury to question the evidence.
They're asking them to ignore the evidencebecause there's ample evidence showing that he
was doing drugs during this period inhis own voice. But if he is

(02:14):
convicted well, Turley says Hunter wouldavoid going to prison. Meantime, Donald
Trump completed a pre sentencing interview witha Manhattan probation officer yesterday, two weeks
after his unfavorable court advantage that guiltyverdict in Manhattan. He will be sentenced
July eleventh by Judge jan Murshawan onhis thirty four count conviction for falsifying business

(02:39):
records. The answer is given willbe compiled in a report that will guide
Judge Mershan's sentencing decision. That rangeis said to go from probation to four
years in prison. Gornald Scott reportingthere now, the judge of the federal
classified documents case heard in Florida againstTrump has denied his defense motion to dismiss

(03:00):
some of the charges. Judge EileenCannon did agree, however, to strike
one paragraph from the indictment that thedefense successfully argued is present prejudicial. How
much does the left hate not justTrump but Trump's supporters. New York congressional
candidate Paula Collins wants to send themall to re education camps. She's the

(03:23):
one who's wrong both on the law, as well as in the much larger
and more important picture of whether ornot people in America have to think what
the Democrat Party wants them to think. Political analyst Debbie georgeatis there, He
tells Kate, she tells kg orH is the kind of thing that happens
in Communist China. Collins given thechance to take that statement back, though

(03:44):
in an interview with Fox News Digitaldidn't, she basically just repeated it.
A House vote on holding US AttorneyGeneral Mary Garland in contempt of Congress reportedly
could happen as soon as tomorrow.A pair of committees approved a resolute in
May after Garland defied subpoenas over andover for the tapes of the Special Council

(04:05):
Robert her interview with President Biden. The interviews that her sided is considering Biden
too confused and fragile to be prosecutedfor crimes. It is now five oh
four. A previously unreleased video takenon January sixth shows then House Speaker Nancy
Pelosi admitting that law enforcement was herresponsibility and it wasn't prepared for what happened

(04:32):
at the US Capitol. They don'tknow, they clearly didn't know, and
I take responsibility for not having themjust prepare for Yeah. That video was
shot by Pelosi's own daughter. Thedocumentarists released by the House Oversight Subcommittee,
which got its hands on it onx A former Bear County deputy sariff fired

(04:56):
for just being at the US Capitolon January sixth, not taking parts of
being there, has now won athree hundred and ninety five thousand dollars settlement
from Bear County, San Antonio.Lieutenant Roxanne Mathia did not even participate in
the events and sued for wrongful termination. I went to rally thinking it was
going to be a rally, justlike the previous two rallies, and other

(05:18):
stuff happened and I got circled inwith everything else. She says. She
plans to get her peace officer licenseand run for sheriff and Bear County and
the only reason the county settled wasbecause they had no case. They're definitely
wanting this to go away because theyknew that if we were to go to
triala was probably not going to gotheir way. Andre Perrard News Radio seven

(05:40):
forty KTRH and rox Sammathi will bejoining US here live on Neuston's Morning News
at seven twenty this morning, OurNews time five o six. President Joe
Biden, at a Juneteenth concert lastnight, tried to paint all Republicans as
racists, packing the values of diversity, equity inclosion. If you can believe

(06:00):
in beating books about black experiences, are trying to erase and rewrite history.
He said that Trump's supporters are ghostsin new garments last night's brain malfunction.
The President's performance in Europe last weekhas left many wondering will he even show

(06:20):
up to debate Donald Trump later thismonth. Fox's David Marcus says, yeah,
he thinks he will. It's arisk, and I think it's a
calculated risk because if it does gowrong, Democrats can say, oh my
goodness, so we can't have this. This would buy them a month and
a half to get to the convention. And so I absolutely think we'll see
the debate debates schedule for June twentyseventh at the CNN studios in Atlanta.

(06:45):
More bad poll numbers though for thepresident, approval rating at five thirty eight.
Dot Com is at an all timelow of thirty seven percent. His
disapproval number is almost sixty percent.Five oh seven's are time here at home.
Concerned is that the individual ballots ofTexas voters could be leaked, showing
how each of us votes. Theconcern stems from the leaking of the former

(07:11):
GOP chairman's ballot. The third Partygroup release the former State Republican Party chair's
ballot, allegedly from the twenty twentyfour primary elections. State Senator Paul Bettencourt
told KTRH they found the ballot byfollowing a digital paper trail. The good
news is that no further information willbe let out and this practice will be

(07:33):
banned in the future. Bettencourt saysthe Secretary of State has already taken measures
to address the issue and it won'taffect the November election. Ethan Buchannan News
Radio seven forty KTRH Houston celebrating whatwould have been the one hundredth birthday of
Bush forty one, former President Georgethe late President George HW. Bush.

(07:56):
His birthday would have been Tomorrow,June twelfth. The Astros lose to San
Francisco for three Pregame tonight starts atseven thirty on both Sports Talk seven ninety
and here on KTRH. I'm SheriffFryer on news radio seven forty KTRH.
It's most important. This is themost important election this year. It is

(08:16):
believe that stay with your most importantstation, News Radio seven forty KTRH.
Here here's the tale of this tale. There's a lawsuit involving Coldstone Creamery.
A woman issuing Coldstone Creamery because shebought pistachio ice cream mistakenly thinking it contained

(08:37):
pistachios. It did not had peanutsinstead, no nont have any nuts at
all, no nuts whatsoever. Itwas just green. Well, here's what
it consisted of, juice, pistachiojuice, pistachio flavoring, which was described
as water, ethanol, propylene, glycol, natural and artificial flavor yellow five

(08:58):
and one. Yum. Well thereyou go. Does that sound delicious?
Manufacture food. She's suing because shethinks that if you're going to label something
as pistachio ice cream, you wouldrecently expect to have pistachios in the ice
cream. Therefore they shouldn't do that. The judge is allowing the lawsuit to
continue, citing that several other wellknown flavors of ice cream. Are well

(09:24):
known ice cream makers who also offerpistachio ice cream do have actual pistachios in
their ice cream. Therefore, theremay be a decep marketing thing that I
bring from shiner has pistachios in atthe pistachio fudge. They're expensive, by
the way, and pistachios. Ifyou get pistachio nougats here at Abdullah's Cafe

(09:46):
and other Middle Eastern rescue, itwill actually contain it will actually have pistachios.
Okay, maybe this is this isa legitimate lawsuit, then judge said,
find me a lawyer and you canfind a lawsuit. Of course,
the US District Court jud said,it raises a deceptively complex question about the
reasonable expectations of planet and like mindedice cream fishonados. In other words,

(10:07):
is it reasonable to expect when thename contains the word, for example,
chocolate, that there's chocolate involved. Is it reasonable to expect if they're pistachio,
that Dore's pistachios or cashews or whatever'sdescribed in the flavor of the ice
cream ad pistachio flavored scream to theirlabel exactly. Cold Stone Creamy, for
their part, says, we gotthe list of ingredients on the website.

(10:28):
They can you know, people,if you're worried about what's in it,
you can look up any one ofour flavors and then the ingredients are right
there. But the judge said,no, we're gonna let this lawsuit continue
five eleven time for traffic and weathertogether. Pistachios is they take too long
and you get so little for youknow, there's people that goo. I
don't like craw fish, Guy,Michael, you got it too there.
If you litt it, you don'tget it. And I'm mentioned too too

(10:50):
much work, none enough benefit. Is that what you're saying. I can
feel crawfish in my sleep. Ican feel crawfish indebriate, and in fact
I usually am when I'm eating crawfish. Let's go what the hard work at
east side of town. Let's checkyour heartman bridge and know it's pretty both
ways Baketown to Laport wide open, eight lanes of fun there. The toll
bridge sucte has not begun yet.So if you're let's say, from the

(11:13):
Sandjacento River, coming in from Crosby, hard hats coming down from the sticks,
go on now, if you're ifyou're gonna get there in about twenty
minutes or so, let's skip overto six to ten the Sherman Bridge,
Sherman Bridge Rocks Bud planned to twotwenty five. You're going June and on
the north side east text twenty minutes. Humble North Freeway twenty four minutes.
I do have one thing to watchout for, and that is North Belt

(11:35):
westbound at all Dean Westfield. Whatdo you got? I had a possum
in my fan. I gotta stallon the side and I think it's the
Coolet just watch out for the NinjasSouthwest Freeway. We're gonna talk about this
throughout the morning, but they're gonnashut down the Southwest Freeway Friday night,
the whole thing. Main lanes, you'll have feeder roads. It's part of
a face. And again we'll keepyou updated right here every ten minutes.
I'm in the Joe Brand New ShrifSoundBite five twenty the Generator Supercenter Dot.

(12:00):
I'm to keep playing the hits manfrom our Kate, ourh top tax Defenders
twenty four our Weathers Center. Anotherchance of scattered storms today. So have
you missed out yesterday? Which mostof us did. Terry Smith, you
got another chance today, right,No way, did you miss that on
rain? Yes, didn't come closeto me yesterday. You must be rain
repellent, all right. A lotof folks did get some rain. I

(12:22):
was just checking some of the rainfalltotals and there's places downtown that are showing
up like two to three inches ofrain. Those thunderstorms did wait until the
afternoon to show up, and Ithink that's what we'll see again today.
So today's practically repeat of yesterday, and maybe the folks that missed out yesterday
will get lucky today. Sixty percentchance of those showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures

(12:43):
today like yesterday uper eighties, stilllow nineties, forty percent chances of thunderstorms
tomorrow. Twenty percent chance you'll getwet Thursday, Friday and Saturday, no
rain, and that is when thetemperatures heat up into the load of mid
nineties Friday and Saturday. Right nowseventy four at your officials Weather's station.
News Radio seven forty KRH. It'sHouston's morning news, brought to you by

(13:05):
New South Windows Solutions. Now backto Jimmy and Scherah with the info you
need to take on the day.So I'm seeing a lot of stories,
including this one that the housing marketspivotal spring selling season coming to an end.
But it's not ending with a bang. It's ending with a whimper.
In other words, there's not eventhough there are not very many homes for
sale and the prices remain super high, there's not a lot of buyers out

(13:26):
there. So it's been kind ofa dud of a season. And the
problem is the affordability factor, aswe continue to struggle with the basic affordability
factor of everything we buy in ourlives, with perhaps the exception of gasoline,
and by the way, gas Lin'sanother example. The reason why price
of gas Lin's gone down is supplyingdemand, as it always is, the
demand is not there right now.People aren't taking summer vacation trips the way

(13:50):
they used to, and therefore theprice of gas Line's actually gone down.
So born the affordability factor and governmentspending coming up next. But first we've
got traffic and weathered together, startingwith the U skuy Mike Let's go Southwest
Freeway. Of course, the bigroadwork's coming up this weekend. We'll talk
about that for now. We're lookingat twenty six minutes Bras. This river
in West Park's going Zeo Katie Freeway'sgood. Grand Parkway to the President's heads

(14:13):
twenty six minutes two ninety. Ifyou had a grand march at your wedding,
you are stress free now Grand Parkwayall the way to the west Loop
sixteen. I'm gonna move that sharea SoundBite to the forty break because one
it goes in with the construction we'regoing to talk about, and two Terry
wants to hear it. And threewe're kind of making bets on my social
media pages Skymike and the Generator Supercenterdot Com Traffic Center. Man, they

(14:35):
better live up to the build up. It's good. It's a lot of
height from a frage even react. That's what makes this fun. Standby from
our ktrih top tax devendors twenty fourhour weather center. Some for the morning,
sixty percent chance was scattered after inthunderstorm by about ninety Today, Tomorrow
forty percent scattered storm chance ninety andthen Thursday only a twenty percent storm chance

(14:56):
partly CLOUDI in ninety four. Rightnow, the temperature is happy Ford,
your official severe weather station. NewsRadio seven forty KTRH. Time to get
you caught up on some of ourtop stories this morning. Here's SHERYF five
twenty two one News Radio seven fortyKTRH. Our headlines are sponsored by Morrow
Mechanical. Well they got them. One of the Texas most wanted criminal illegal

(15:18):
aliens is now in jail. Juryselection begins at the end of this month
in the murder trial of the formerHPD officer Gerald Goins for the botched Harding

Guess what Our iHeartRadio app is freeand free. Never sounded so good.
Five twenty three is our time hereon Houston's morning news. Right Representative Ryan

(16:02):
zink I saw him yesterday talk abouttwo things. The affordability factor, which
we were just discussing before the breakhere homeowner costs. The cost to own
a home and operate a home isup over twenty six percent just since the
pandemic. I mean, that's twentysix percent. I know, I keep
thinking, what it's getting harder andharder, and and it's discouraging. You

(16:23):
know, it's just not just forfor new home buyers who were out there
are trying to be first time homebuyers, but for people who would otherwise,
you know, their families growing alittle bit, they would normally be
you know, moving out of thehome they're in into something a little bit
bigger, and everybody feels a littlebit stuck. So here's Representive Zinki talking
about the affordability factor and also ofcourse the role that government spending does in

(16:45):
all this. And let's look atwhat sex state here. You know,
the American dream of home ownership, and if you're locked in in renting the
rest of your life, then thatAmerican dream has to be diminished. So
first of all, why are wehere well when the interest rates are high?
And why interest rates are overspending andpicking on American energy of course,

(17:07):
when American energy costs go high. You know, when the Trump administration I
came in, we were eight pointthree million barrels a day. Two short
years twelve point five gas was twodollars a gallon. You know what happens
when gas is two dollars a gallon. The economy starts to move, building
materials go down. And oh,by the way, we lowered emissions,
so America can do it right.Housing, now you look at well,

(17:27):
you have this enormous problem with thelegal immigration where they stayed. President Trump
called it out. You know, you have millions of people where are they
staying? And that also affects therent. So you have high inflation,
you have high gas costs, youhave high interest rates, you have diminishing
future for actually buying a home. There's a lot of things we can do.

(17:48):
Not all them, as you pointedout, are from the government.
A lot of it is private enterpriseneeds a step into the market. The
size and scoope of our budget isout of control. I think there's a
recognition then and you can bring itback in. But it takes leadership,
and it takes hard leadership to maketough decisions. You know, you look
at where we're spending our money andwhy and how much and the rate we're

(18:11):
spending our money. That is fixablefor a great nation, but it's not
fixable under a Biden administration has comethrough the the House has the power of
the purse, right, I meanthe spending starts in your branch. I
think I get it because I wasthere. You have a leak of a
small majority. It's hard to gettingdown on the smart small majority. But
the problem is you guys do havea lot of power because you do have

(18:32):
that control, and were still we'restill spending more. We are spending more,
and we got to go through Irecord resort back to Article one,
section nine of the Constitution. Nomoney should be removed from the treasury unless
by consequence of appropriations by law,and we no longer. We only appropriate
about twenty five percent of the budget. So Congress needs to do their job

(18:55):
and go back to appropriating the budget. And as you know you were there,
there are multiple programs that aren't evenauthorized and we're appropriated. So step
one, guys, this authorize everythingand let's send things to appropriation. And
that's a steer towards the right path, which is look, we need to
get our budget into control. Well, it's easy to see how it got

(19:15):
out of control. Listening. Weneed some real leadership though to get it
under control. Do we have anyreal leaders five twenty six? It is
time to take a look at yourmoney. Courtney Donaho's here. Well,
good morning Tommy. This morning stocksare in the red, with deal futures
down one hundred and thirty five points. The Federerserve kicks off it's two day
meeting today. Wall Street's waiting tohear what the Central Bank has to say

(19:36):
about when interest rates might start comingdown. Well yesterday again for the major
benchmarks. With the Dow rising sixtynine points, traders are already bracing for
wild swings expected tomorrow. Not onlydo we hear from the fact, but
there's also a key report on consumerprices out before the opening bell. Oil
this morning, falling slightly seventy sevendollars a barrel. Oil has trended lower

(19:56):
since early April on concerns about demandand rising supply from outside of the OPEC
countries. And over the past decade, CBS's store branded medications have been recalled
about two times more than those fromWalgreens and three times more than Walmart.
That's according to a Bloomberg analysis ofpublic records. CBS responded saying it prioritizes

for the news. Here's Sheriff Fryerand good morning everyone. Is five point
thirty two on news Radio seven fortyKTRH. Our top story of this era.

(22:11):
One of the Texas ten most wantedcriminal illegal aliens as a mouthful now
in custody. Mexican national servando TrejoDuran Junior was arrested last week. His
criminal record includes arrest for homicide, burglary, and tappering with government records.
Just one reason why. Sixty twopercent of registered voters told CBS and YouGov

(22:34):
that they support a national program ofdeporting all illegal aliens from these United States,
and that number includes fifty three percentof Hispanics who feel that way.
He has no intention, none, zero, not on zilch of closing this
more. The only place that theAmerican people are going to find border security

(22:59):
is in the vote both with DonaldTrump Louisiana Senator John Kennedy on Fox Is
on the heels of yet another pollwhich says that only one in five people
think that President Joe Biden actually evenwants to cut quote migration. Seventy percent
expect Donald Trump to fix what Bidenbroke. It is now five point thirty
three more Joe Biden foreign policy failurehere. Iran reportedly now has agreed to

(23:23):
a fifty six million dollar deal withNizer to purchase three hundred tons of refined
uranium in exchange for drones and surfaceto air missiles. Yes, it used
to be an ally more or lessof the US. Meantime, Iran backed
hoodies have escalated their attacks on USnaval and commercial ships. Last weekend in

(23:47):
the Middle East, two commercial vesselscatching fire off Yemen's coast after being hit
by hoodie projectiles. Another ship inthe Gulf of Aden was hit with no
reported injuries. Even as the UNSecurity Council the White House plan for a
cease fire between Israel and Hamas, the UN's now in on it. In
the past, as you know,Hamas has broken cease fires and not complied

(24:12):
with their end of the agreement.New Hampshire Democrat Senator Maggie Hassan NBC News
reporting that the White House might actuallynegotiate with Hamas unilaterally now finally for the
release of the American hostages. Yes, they still are being held by those
terrorists. It's now five point thirtyfour. The jury returns for a second

(24:33):
day of deliberations this morning. Inthe felony gun trial of the President's son,
Hunter Biden, jurors have to decideif Hunter Biden lied on a gun
form in twenty eighteen when he saidthat he was not addicted to drugs.
They say that he committed three differentfelonies. Two of those felonies deal with
false statements, one deals with possessionof that gun in twenty eighteen. David's

(24:57):
Spott reporting from Wilmington in Delaware.President Donald Trump forced to interview with a
probation officer yesterday ahead of his Manhattansentencing by that Democrat appointed judge Juan Mershan.
That will happen on July eleventh. It's almost comical, but President Trump's
going to have to answer these questions. It's a waste of time, obviously

(25:18):
for everyone. It's part of thelegal system, but that shows you how
absurd the entire process has been.Legal analyst Pam Bondi, she was on
NEWSMACS. The sentencing is four days, of course, before the Republican Convention
m Milwaukee and right around Donald Trump'sbirthday. By the way, at the

(25:38):
bribery and conduct corruption trial of NewJersey Democrat Senator Bob Menindez, the prosecution
star witness, a businessman Jose Uribe, testified that he bribed the senator,
giving him a fifteen thousand dollars downpayment to look into state into a state
criminal investigation of his company. It'snow five thirty six. We're about ten

(26:02):
ways away, days away from theofficial start of summer. Urkott says a
sixteen percent chance of a power emergency, a twelve percent chance of rolling blackouts
across Texas this summer. The legislaturethought that they had dealt with us in
twenty one, and they had,and they thought they had done something useful
last year. But the fact ofthe matter is we're five years behind getting

(26:25):
anything done constructively to help the scridyep uhs ed hers. He says,
Urkat currently years away from being ableto produce the amount of power that is
demanded and needed in order to supplyeveryone all the time. And what about
all of our weather disasters and theeconomic realities today affecting our food Texas farmers.

(26:48):
Total Texas crop insurance payouts have quadrupledover the last twenty years to more
than one billion dollars a year GaryJoyner, But the Texas Farm Bureau says
it's not just due to droughts andwildfires. Cost of inflation, higher costs
for interest rates for loans, Allthose things are adding to more expensive costs
of production. So the crop insuranceand is reflecting some of those higher costs

(27:10):
of business. The twenty twenty twodrought wiped out three fourths of Texas cotton
crops, causing billions and losses notcovered by insurance. Coryolson he's Radio seven
forty KTRH five thirty seven is ourtime. This special prosecutor, it's a
Republican from Bell County who was appointedto investigate a petition to remove that liberal
Democrat. District Attorney of Travis Countyhas moved to dismiss the case. And

(27:34):
with less than five months until theelection, there's yet another Texas Democrat group
trying to spend millions to flip thisstate Shara. As Republicans strategist Matt mccoveac
points out, it's deja blue allover again. There is a recognition that
the Democratic side to make Texas ascompetitive as it could be. They see

(27:55):
an opportunity building towards what they hopewill be a very competitive A center race
with Colin all written tru That raceis expected to top one hundred million,
leading the DEM's purple push. Texasremains a red state, but there are
some morning signs and we have totake it seriously. We have stop acting
like we think texts will always beRepublican, because it's that kind of mindset
and complacency that will turn Texas purple. For not careful. Whatever the color

(28:17):
is, Texas is still the numberone target Jeff Biggs, News Radio seven

continuing tonight seven point thirty on SportsTalk seven ninety and here on KTRH.
I'm sure for Fryar and News Radioseven forty KTRH, let the experts at

(28:37):
garage Door doctor tune up your garagedoor and keep it running for a lifetime.
This is Houston's Morning News with JimmyParent and Sheriff Fryar. My name
is Jimmy. Her name is Shia. But what do you call an elephant?
Evidently elephants have names too, Wejust didn't realize it. Well,
Dumbo, no, I mean amongstthemselves, not what not? What not?

(29:03):
What we call them? Yeah,it's hey bears. According to Colorado
State University researchers, wild African elephantsaddress each other with name like calls,
So they make a different noise forevery specific elephant that they're talking to.

(29:27):
So they've been recording them and watchingtheir behavior, and they they finally figured
it out. Yeah, that's theexact same noise. And they found at
the other end that the intended recipientresponded when they heard the noise intended for
them. So although it's not likea name like Jimmy or Share, it's
it's it's it's a name in theelephant world. So now that we have

(29:48):
ai to figure all this out,uh huh, probably is how it's happening.
Probably so. Probably so. Yeah, And they found in the in
the only way they could really proveit or really show it was again to
you know, to record the calls, play them for specific elephants and see
if that elephant responded or if allthe elephants or other random elephants responded to
the call. And they found thatthe response was mainly from the intended recipient.

joins us nashally SENTEDICAB columnists at FoxNews. David, I'd like to have
you elaborate on what I was sayingbefore we kind of got into the interview.

(35:49):
Before the break here talking about youcoming on, which is do you
think most of America has figured outthat we have a president of the United
States who is compromised at this pointmentally compromise? Yes, I do.
I think the polling is quite clearthat Americans think that Joe Biden is too
old for this job. It's thebiggest lead that any candidate has on any

(36:13):
issue. Trump had the last timeI looked at was a twenty one point
lead on this question. That's biggerthan immigration. That's bigger than the economy
on the flip side, it's biggerthan Biden's lead on abortion. So it's
big. The question is whether voterswho aren't naturally inclined to vote Republican or
for Trump, whether they can toleratethe decline that they've seen. But it's

(36:37):
quite clear that they see it,but they don't seem I can't see how
any thinking person really believes that JoeBiden is making the decisions that are running
this country right now. And wheredo you drop your party affiliation and start
thinking about the good of the country. Why are people in media not really
talking a whole lot about that.I think that the people in media probably

(37:01):
are big fans of whoever actually isin charge right now. So yeah,
it's clearly not Joe Biden, butit's just as clearly some consortium of the
people who ran the Obama White House. Right, everybody understands this is Obama
three point zero. There's that famouspicture of Jensaki and the gang glowering right

(37:22):
so angry as Obama was moving outand Trump was moving in. Those people
are back. That's who's running it. And so they're definitely Democrats who are
willing to say to themselves, sure, I know that Joe Biden's not running
things, but I'd rather have, you know, Susan Rice and the Barack
Obama gang do it than Donald Trump. So again, the worse it gets

(37:43):
for Biden, I mean, ifit gets to the point where and it
kind of is right where it's like, this guy's just an embarrassment, that
that could become intolerable, especially forindependent voters. Are you among the people,
David, who believe that the Junetwenty seventh debate is a test case
for the day Democrats. In otherwords, we're gonna let Joe Biden do
the debate. If he falls flaton his face, then we've still got

(38:05):
time before the convention to figure somethingout. If he does well, then
we can stick with him. Yeah, absolutely, the only thing that yes,
I do. And I also thinkthat it is part of a pattern
of events that you've seen, startingrecently with the State of the Union,
where every month and a half they'regoing to try to roll this guy out,

(38:27):
you know, like you know,Pat Boone's still doing concerts or something,
right, and say like, justgive an hour and a half,
Joe, just give us two hours, buy us another month and a half.
If he's okay at the debate, that'll get us to the convention.
If he's okay at the convention, that'll get us to a second debate.
And I think that's how they willslowly try to appease voters who are,

(38:47):
as you say, very concerned abouthow old and decrepit he looks. Okay,
Well, it just boggles my mind. Why didn't Biden, Why didn't
the Biden just step aside and letthe Democrat Party choose somebody else who was
competent, who could run. Youknow, I was thinking about that just

(39:07):
this morning for a column that I'mworking on, and I hadn't quite thought
of it this way, but Iactually think that one of the side effects
of COVID and the lockdowns was thatit really devastated the Democrats' bench as far
as the presidential elections go. Thenatural people who would have stepped in were
all governors, right. It wasAndrew Cuomo, it was Gavin Newsom,

(39:29):
it was Gretchen Whitmer. All ofthese people, all of their reputations were
badly, badly damaged by their actionsduring COVID, not just that they locked
everybody down, but that they allwere guilty of ignoring their own lockdown rules.
So I don't know. I mean, who would you suggest, Pete
Boodagic, Kamala Harris. I don'tknow. Do they have Is there a

don't remember what it was like beforethe Trump tax cuts, but you'll get

(47:45):
a reminder as soon as you getyour paycheck. Right. But that's not
the only thing that the President Bidenhas planned as far as increases go.
David Malpasses an economist, here's whathe has to say about it. So
we have a clear Trump is sayingI want more production, more growth,
and that's going to pull down inflation, and I want to do it with

(48:07):
tax policies that make sense. Bidenis proposing, and you know, I
think people have missed a little bitthe importance of this point. Two major
tax increases. I think they wouldbe the biggest in history. One is
to allow and cause the Trump ratesto expire. So that's going to hit
everybody. And he says, well, I won't hit people under four hundred

(48:29):
thousand. He's going to hit peopleacross the economy and it's going to be
expensive his way. And then inaddition to that, I don't know if
you saw the February budget, buthe has on paper proposed concretely taxes that
go into capital gains, that gointo actually they have a proposal to be
retroactive on the tax increased. Theyhave a proposal that would that would hit

(48:53):
unrealized gains. So it's very wealthservices to a wealth confiscation. Literally,
that's where they want to go in. The effect on the business community is
less investment and less jobs. Yeah, there you go, less investment,

Our next update will be at thebottom of the hour. What's most
important. This is the most importantelection this year. It is believe that
stay with your most important station, news Radio seven forty. Drought conditions continue

(54:01):
in West Texas, joining us todiscuss it as Gary Joyner, he's a
spokesman with the Texas Farm Bureau. You know, we've had so much rain
around here. Gary, it's hardto imagine that there's parts of Texas that
are bone dry, but there are. You're right, Jimmy, it is
a case of have and have not. So we have exceptional drought in our
state still and the Edwards Plateau.Think of San Antonio and a little southwest

(54:22):
think of the Transpagas far West Texas. They have gone without and it is
serious drought right now with farmers andranchers trying to make some hard decisions on
what you're going to do next becauserainfall has not come. Yeah, rainfall
has in common is not refilling thoseaquifers, which means that water supplies for
the people who live there in allthe new building. That's also a problem,

(54:43):
and farmers are always having to balanceagainst that Lower Colorado River Authority,
and don't you water conservation is reallyat the top of the list. Whether
you have it or you don't haveit, you're always mindful it's limited resource
and whether you're blessed to receive itnaturally rainfall or through irrigation means in which
you can draw from water sources thatare available. Water is a premium.

(55:07):
Without water, we don't have Texasagriculture. We don't have food in our
state. Are there any particular typesof farms or farmers or ranchers that are
impacted by this? I mean, you all depend on water. Doesn't really
matter what you do, right,You depend on water. If you can't
if you can't irrigate your fields, you can't grow crops in a drought condition,
and if you can't grow hey,you can't feed your cattle. You

(55:27):
mentioned Hey, it may be Heythat probably is the most widespread in terms
of impacts, because a lot ofthose areas in the Edwards Plateau and trans
Vegas are producing hay not only fortheir own animals, but also to sell
as part of a cash crop. And some of those cuttings have not come
out of the field. They're verylimited, they're getting a little worried,
and supplies are getting short. SoHey is really what I think of first.
But then the other row crops thatneed water to sustain and grow,

(55:51):
some of those are having to bekept back, and it goes downstream to
the cattle and to livestock. Iread the other day that our supply of
cattle in this entire country is atan EBB that we haven't seen in decades.
You're right, Scheron. We're ata seventy year low in terms of
cattle inventory. The number of theanimals that are in the marketplace destined to
be market is very low. Pricesreflect that, and only at the livestock

(56:15):
barn and private sale, but alsofor consumers we're paying a little bit more
for beef, not only but supply, but we have a high demand for
beef products. So we're seeing thatat the grocery store. You know,
you know the dissound clubs. I'mseeing you know, you know, steak
for like nineteen dollars bound, someamazing prices. So all that cost at
some point in time gets passed alongto the consumer, doesn't it. It

(56:37):
does, And some of those premiumcuts are at a high right now,
and consumers have a choice. There'splenty of choices in the marketplace for the
type of meat you're looking for,the quality, the cut, but it
is passed on. Those costs ofproduction are high right now, and we're
absorbing those as a consumer when theyreach the grocery store. I know,
the farm bureau, insurers and howmuch how much is that on a three

(57:01):
legged stool? How many legs havebeen cut off of that one already in
terms of insurance payouts and what youhave to do because you don't just plan
today and get your money tomorrow.I mean, this is a lag in
all of this and the fires upthere in the Panhandle, What what where
do farmers stand today? That reallybrings up crop insurance, and it's in

(57:22):
the news right now because Congress isconsidering a new farm bill, and crop
insurance is one of the main legsof that stool. As you described,
it's a risk management tool, it'sa government partnership with private entities. It's
actually actuarily sound and represents a verylow level of funeral spending. But without
those crop insurance opportunities, the riskis too high for farmers to year to

(57:44):
year to sustain that. They needthe program to continue to produce our food
and fiber. All right, Gary, thanks for joining us and bringing us
up today. We appreciate it.Gary Joyner with the Texas Farm Bureau at

dollar value is much higher than ithas been because cost of business are producing
that food and fiber is so muchhigher than it has been. But don't

On this state's political front, withthe ultimate goal of turning Texas blue,

now that top secret sensitive recordings havebeen released of Judge Justice Samuel Alito and

(01:07:11):
John Roberts talking about politically sensitive things. My goodness, what sort of political
sensitive things are we talking about?A left wing activist releasing secret recordings of
those two justices. The reason why, obviously why she did it was well,

(01:07:31):
she went in and she portrayed herselfto be a religious person who's concerned
about religious freedom in the United Statesand those types of things. So she's
picking their brains, asking them howthey feel about certain topics, and they're
more than happy to answer. There'sactually nothing in here that is the least
bit controversial, is now near asI can tell. Let me give you

(01:07:53):
a couple of examples here she saidthat she was going to well, she
asked Justice Alito. For example, she suggested to Justice Alito that quote,
people in our country who believe inGod have got to keep fighting for that
in return our country to a placeof godliness, to which he said,
well, I agree with you.I agree with you. Wow, that's

(01:08:14):
super controversial, right, believe inGod, in godliness? For a Supreme
Court justice, how dare he saythat? Goodness gracious? Another point,
the activists represented herself as a devoutCatholic, telling you the Justice, I
don't know that we can negotiate withthe left in the way that needs to
happen for the polarization to end.I think that's a matter of like winning,

(01:08:35):
to which Justice Alito said, Ithink you're probably right on one side
or the other. One side orthe other is going to win. I
don't know. I mean, therecan be a way of working, a
way of living together peacefully, butit's difficult, you know, because there
are differences on fundamental things that reallycan't be compromised. Is he not stating
the obvious? What we expect aSupreme Court justice to not have an opinion

(01:09:00):
on religion, their own personal religion. If you don't just toe the line
of the left and what they believeand what they want you to make you
believe and do. Well, Yeah, clearly this activist is releasing this because
she wants to get all the ungodlypeople on the left riled up. See,
we've got religious ellis in the SupremeCourt. We need to change this.

(01:09:21):
We need to reelect Biden so thatwe can he can pick the next
Supreme Court justice. They also wantto pack the court too if they take
control. You're right that too,you will follow what we believe. The
thing that's controversial to me is thatthis is controversial. It makes no sense
to me. Six forty one timefor traffic and weather together. As we

are real sweeping ideological political changes thatare taking place whereby European electors have really
had enough of ruling left wing elitesthat have been in power for such a

(01:15:18):
long time. They want to seea change. They want to see secure
borders, they want to see anend to mass migration, and so in
continental Europe it's a combination I thinkof rejecting decades long ruling elites, but
also I think significant ideological changes thatyou're seeing in continent Europe. It's not

the same case in the UK.You're not seeing the British people, I
think embracing socialism that they just wantto see a political change of leadership.
According to most obinning balls, thetwenty sixteen Brexit vote came in advance to
the US presidential election. The sweptand Donald Trump into powers. So could
you see something similar in the UnitedStates? I would say that if you

(01:16:00):
look at the issues that European votershave focused on, mass migration, open
borders, soaring crime, rising costof living, also a fundamental rejection of
left wing green environmental policies, rejectionnet zero. These are all big issues
in the United States for American votersas well. I would imagine that today

the Biden White House is very nervousactually looking at developers across the Atlantic,
where European electorates are fundamentally rejecting leftwing political rulers and parties. And I
would describe that Biden registration has themost left wing US administration in American history.

in Washington, d C. That'sthe better part of three years ago.
Now over three years ago though thatactually happened, So three hundred and ninety

but it doesn't bring her career back, and it certainly doesn't make up

our next guest. Her name isRoxammathi. She's a former Bear County Sheriff's
deputy who was fired from her jobfor attending the January sixth rally let's start
with that. Roxanne, take meback to post rally. When did the
Bear Sheriff's Department let you know youwere being fired? And what did they

(01:32:51):
give us the cause for the firing. Yes, I'm here, Jerry,
Yeah, I can hear you.Now go ahead. Did you hear my
question? Yes? Good question,Thanks for having me on. I knew
as soon as January seventh. Thenext day, while I was still in
DC, I had some friends Sidneyscreenshots that he was a press conference,

(01:33:13):
and within that press conference, hehad stated that he doesn't care if I
did not go into the Capitol, and he doesn't care if I didn't even
break any laws. All he caresabout is the mare fact that I was
there, and for that reason,he will make sure that I never stepped
foot into that building again. SoI found out on January seventh that he
had intentions of terminating me just forsimply being there. You were not in

(01:33:38):
uniform, You were an American citizenwho was attending a political rally. Correct,
and he knew that you were going. This Democrat, I assume,
sheriff. Oh, yes, he'sa full fledged blown credit Democrat. He
actually is very proud, you know, in his position where he endorses and

(01:34:01):
supports Joe Biden. But secondly,I did get permission from chief, one
of the chiefs to go and thatwas be a text message and I have
that text message to this day andthis was used in our litigation. So
I asked him, you know,point blank and I go to d C
January sixth, and he said, yes you can. Okay, So you've

(01:34:24):
spent three and a half years,Rock Sanne. What has the last three
and a half years been like foryou as far as fighting this case?
I assume you tried to get yourjob back. We did try. It
was it was something that we definitelywere shooting for. However, they were
just saying that it would be arisk because I've already sued once, I
could easily turn around and see themagain. So it was just kind of

(01:34:47):
common that they don't ever return yourjob to you. But I felt like
that was kind of silly because thenthat's, you know, it's not full
justice. However, you know,I feel like I put a lot of,
you know, things that occur inlife in God's hands. So everything
that happens, I feel like Godjust does it for a reason. So
maybe he's opening up a bigger andbetter door for me. But at the

(01:35:10):
same time, I was going tofix what somebody did wrong to me.
So I was going to sue himfor violating my you know, first Amendment,
right. I wasn't going to letthat slide. But at the same
time, I know that something biggerand better is waiting for me. So
you know, with that said,I do intend on going getting my peace
officer license and running for sheriff.Okay, would you be running up perhaps

(01:35:34):
against this very incumbent, I sure, hope, So that's my goal.
I could understand why you feel thatway. So you settled basically knowing that
it just really wasn't a fair fight, you know, trying to get your
job back. So what a littlebit under four hundred thousand dollars that covers

(01:35:56):
legal cost and maybe back pay.Oh yeah, it covered all of my
back pay and then some for thelast three years. I wasn't for a
part of those three years. Keepin mind, we were going towards arbitration
and other means that we had toexhaust before a lawsuit, and during that
time I was still getting paid outof my books and I still had a

(01:36:18):
lot of back time. So Iwas being taken care of for a good
while, for a good portion ofthat time. But that three hundred ninety
five thousand dollars did cover, youknow, a lot of my back pay.
And then some like I said,it isn't full justice. I get
it, but it is justice. And what it does tell everybody is that

(01:36:39):
he did something wrong. That's whatit does say. Even though he likes
to tell the mediatlets that he stillstands by his decision and denies any wrongdoing.
Well, you don't just go seta lawsuits if he just did nothing,
you know, absolutely nothing wrong. He knows he did something wrong.
He does will never ever admit itbecause that's just the type of person that
he is. Well, hopefully he'llrun for reelection. You're running. I

(01:37:00):
mean, you can remind everybody whathe did right. You didn't pay the
money the taxpayers. That's true,Roxanne, Thanks for joining us. Congratulations

done constructively to help the scrid edhers at the University of Houston, says
Urkott, currently years away from beingable to produce the amount of power that
we need in order to supply everyone all the time. You know,

(01:42:57):
farmers also need power too in orderto provide food for us. But then
they've got the weather disasters and othersorts of economic realities. What do you
what do they need in order tokeep our food supply? Total Texas crop

It's a conundrum for the greenies becausethey're finding massive amounts of lithium that
gets broken free from the earth infracking waste water. And what would do
we use lithium for Sheriff fryar gee, that would be batteries for ev Oh,
you know, to get it naturally, you have to mine it,
and that's really a nasty mess. And so the Greenees, who are trying

(01:45:34):
to protect the planet by forcing usinto a like all electric everything, can't
come up with a way to getthe lithium. Well, now it turns
out that you can get enough lithiumfrom fracking water just out of Pennsylvania a

(01:45:55):
hundred and ninety three countries more thanone hundred and eighty seven other countries combined
can produce in a year. Sowe could cheaply produce batteries for electric vehicles

have to do it by fracking fornatural gas. It's in the byproducts of

we to do? That's quite aconundrum. It is a conundrum. Oh,

some congenial village storyteller who's going tolike entertain the town folk with tales of
fighting mysterious woodland creatures and turning cow'smilk into liquid gold. Meanwhile, Trump's
you know, salesman fibbs or somehowyou know, apocryphal or existential threats.

(01:53:04):
But Joe's tails, unlike Trump's,are not harmless Trump's. When Trump is
talking about something, whether he exaggeratesor not or directionally true, this is
going to be great. You know, Joes are figments of a chaotic imagination,
an addled brain. You know,it could be dismissed if it belonged

(01:53:24):

So I'm reminded of how many timesthe media democratic complex would often compare

we got to get rid of thesepeople. Anyway, Consider how Biden's defenders
portrayed Joe, that he's a basketcase in public, but behind the scenes,

(01:53:47):
Oh you watch, he's sharp asattack. Well, this has never
